Hotel Granduca - San Giuliano Terme

vi ankom kl 0030.. vår booking var da ikke registrert, måtte låne pc og lete fram kvitt på reservasjon.. det var kallt, men varme på rommet var ikke tillatt før i november?! spiste middag på kvelden, fikk ikke betale, skulle settes på rommet..da vi sjekket ut 0400 var regn påført 2 ekstra punkter som ikke vedgikk vår middag..umulig å diskutere det med […] nattevakt selvf..drosja kom kjapt...det var positivt da Les mer

slitt og ikke serlig rent, men vennlig betjening som snakker godt engelsk. helt greitnåkk for en natt. nært pisa. bra parkering. små pitza resturanger og små butikker rett over gaten.

Large parking area. Two minutes walk away from the center of the tiny village San Giuliano Terme, with a couple of pizzerias etc. Reception area has a lot of space and leaves a nice first impression. Friendly staff, always responsive. But security is NOT good: room keys are floating around at the reception. There are safes in the rooms, but no key […] for it - the reception tells you use a safe there instead. When we wanted something from it, we saw the receptionist rummaging around in a top drawer to find our safe key... that drawer did not even seem to be locked! There is free wireless available in the reception area, but not in the rooms. The rooms are quite standard, but the beds are quite hard. The dining hall is large. Breakfast is tolerable, but avoid the horrible "coffee" from the machines - go for the real thing in the dining hall bar or reception bar instead. Note there is both sweet and sour milk, with no indication of what's what. One day there was only one mug of milk so I asked what type it was. The staff did not understand my question but assured me it was normal milk. It was the sour type. All in all, affordable and "OK" if you don't care about security or hard beds. sengene er så harde at jeg fikk prolaps av det. det blir reklamert at det skal være både safe og mulighet for bil utleie på hotellet. Dette er bare tull. vi måtte reise helt til flyplassen for å hente bil. fantes ikke noe info på hotellet om severdigheter eller når det var oppe i resturangen etc. skulle man ha en drink i baren, måtte man lete hotellet […] rundt etter en som man kunne få betjening av. vi spiste kun frokost på hotellet, og den var det samme hyver dag i en uke. av varmretter var det kun kokte egg, som var kokt til de ble grønne. Get used to be ignored when you are trying to get contact in the reception. Room was ok if you look away from the leaking roof, the shower doors that did not close, the toilet that would not flush. As many other hotells i Italy do not expect a four star hotell or four star service just becase it says so.

Fint rom, rent og pent. Godt utvalg til frokost. Meget bra service. Ligger midt mellom Pisa og Lucca, det går busser mellom, meget greit å komme seg til og fra.

Dette må jo være en fleip, 4stjerners?? vi var ikke de eneste turistene som hadde litt hakeslepp da de kom inn på hotellet.. Rommet var ikke pent og du kjente vaierende i senga. Glad vi kun hadde en natt der! Frokosten hadde dårlig utvalg. Nei dette er ikke noe 4stjerners hotell.

Vi bodde på hotellet i 10 dager, leiet bil og reiste rundt: Herlig å bo på et hotell 6 km utenfor Pisa med topp adgang til hotellet uten kø på veien, og med parkering maks 30 m fra hotellinngangen. Avslappende når bilen var i flittig bruk. 4 km fra autostrada som brakte oss langt på kort tid, 8 km fra sjarmerende Lucca, en drøy halvtime til bading i […] det Ligurske hav. Vennlig betjening som merket av kart med parkeringsplasser i Pisa, Lucca, Siena. Rene, fine, rimelig store rom, rent og funksjonelt bad. Negativt: På 4 **** hotell forventer vi to behagelige stoler å sitte i på hotellrommet, bortsett fra resepsjonen (meget pen) bar hotellet mer preg av et middelklassehotell. Frokosten - helt grei, men ikke 4****. Var ikke imponert over middagen på hotellet, men det var alternativ 100 m unna. Alt i alt var vi fornøyd, og kommer gjerne tilbake, beliggenhet og parkering tatt i betraktning. Les mer

We stayed for two nights. Breakfast was really good many choices. Had dinner one night great food and service. Took train to Pisa florance and lucca. Front desk very helpfull they spoke English and french. Great room for the price clean and comfortable.

We chose this hotel because of its free parking, cheap rates, and convenience for exploring Pisa. It is just a short 10min train ride to Pisa, which is easy to explore by foot. The hotel was nothing special, and don't expect anything in the way of luxury or a delicious breakfast; but for the price, it is not bad.

It was an over night stay.. the hotel is comfortable, break fast was good.. toilet flush was not working.. complained about it but, no one turned up to resolve the issue..was bit upset with that.. free wifi is only in the lobby not in the rooms.. we had to sit longer in the lobby to download the maps :) .. otherwise it was nice and comfortable hote […] l.. I really don't have much good to say about this hotel. Even though this hotel advertised dining facilities and we were told upon arrival that dinner started at 5pm the resturant was closed for our whole stay and we had to walk outside in the rain looing for someplace to eat every day for lunch and dinner. My husband asked the front desk if they would […] hold some very important translations he was working on in the hotel security, the evening before we checked out he went to the front desk to get them and was told "we can't find them" even though my husband begged them to really search this was very important they just got upset and said "we are busy" we will call the other staff, which they never did. as we were checking out my husband said " can I just go into you back room to have a look" when he went in there was his documents just laying on a table mixed with other things. Our room was basically empty, it was very cold and the bed was very unconfortable. Les mer

It's a decent price if you don't mind taking the train back and forth to Pisa. It's in a nice pleasant neighborhood with a bit of country around it. Hotel staff speaks English well enough, but the wireless internet never worked while we were there and the air conditioning in the room didn't quite cut it by spoiled American standards, but was fine if […] you're not high maintenance. The hotel was in need of loving care, noticed that the hotel is used mainly for groups of people. Superb breakfast choice.

Granduca is more than a budget hotel but still too expensive for what it is. Its a very impersonal hotel but OK if you arrive late at Pisa Airport and need somewhere that gives you a good getaway the following morning. We used it as the overnight before our return home. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, it was absolutely disgusting, had horrible customer service, dirty rooms, non-working a/c, and a breakfast I would not even feed my dog. It honestly was the Italian version of The Shinning movie. When we got there, they could not locate our reservation (or 3 other people in the lobby's reservation either) and […] to top it off the employee was cursing at his computer in front of us. Finally he figures it out and gives us our room key, which was pretty much a weapon as it was a this big metal ball attached to a little key. Was really weird and awkward to put in your pocket. When we got to the room which was located right next to the loud lobby, I almost wanted to puke. There was a number of hairs all over the bathroom floor and the shower. Also to top it off, there is no shower curtain which means you get water all over the floor every time. Very strange. The A/C was basically a glorified vent and it made my wife sick on top of that. I had it down to 5 degrees celsius and was sweating to death. I had a horrible night sleep. Then I had an even crappier morning when every guest in the hotel has to roll their bags by our room to checkout. Very loud and horrible. We were entitled to a free breakfast which I honestly would not feed to my dog. All the food looked a number of days old and all dried out. I ended up having a dry bread roll for breakfast because everything else looked like it would give me food poisoning. In fact the restaurant was incredibly dirty and many of the tables had dishes from the night before. I know it wasn't previous breakfast guests because there were wine bottles on the table, so it had to been the night before. They didn't even bother to clean it up. There were also flys on the food. The artwork on the walls made me think I was in the movie The Shinning as much of the art is of murder scenes and all sorts of weird artwork you would expect in a hotel, maybe in a horror movie. On my first visit I complained about the fridge not working. I was ther two or three nights but nothing was done although they said they would replace it. As I left I pointed out that it was still not fixed, I received an amused smile and no apology. The restaurant said it had no vegetarian option so we didn't eat there as one of our party was vegetarian. […] (This was in Italy!). Pictures online do not represent the actual condition of this hotel. There is a smell of mothballs everywhere. Room is small and the mattress is very uncomfortable. Shower doors were broken, water spilled all over bathroom floor and the shower drain was clogged. WiFi is a joke to use. the hotel, is not four stars..not even three...the tv is smaller than my PC, and is a mini..an older than my grandma.. I pay for a triple room and not have it when arrive..and the gardens foto was taken almost fifteen years ago..

The Hotel Granduca is located between Pisa and Lucca. We had to stay overnight near Pisa to catch an early morning flight from Pisa Airport and the Granduca is approximately 10 miles to Pisa Airport - approximately 20 minutes by car. The hotel has seen better days but the rooms were clean. For the price paid this would be reasonable to stay for a night […] en route to the airport. The location of the hotel is approximately 4 miles from the centre of Pisa. The surrounding area is quite green and has views of the hills. However the facade of the hotel is somewhat dilapidated. The lobby of the hotel is large, but the furniture in the lobby is old and does not seem co-ordinated. The rooms are clean and functional, although the furniture is dated. Our shower had a problem as it was not draining quickly. The rooms were equipped with a wardrobe and fridge. The view from the room overlooked a local play ground. There is plenty of parking available on site. Breakfast was poor but we had coffee only as we were on the way to the airport. Les mer

We checked in late and after 6 hours of driving, we were hungry and tired. I ordered room service, two plates of pasta (cold pasta) and a bottle of wine (the worst wine). The rooms havent been updated since it was built in the late 60's and I thing they still have the same beds, sheets and comforter. There was a 9 inch TV in our room but no TV in the […] kids room. The bed was hard as the floor and very uncomfortable. At check out the next morning they wanted to charge me 150 euro for room service. Only because there were five of us (30 eruo each) That is horrible... anyway the receptionist wont budge so i talked to the manager and he lower the bill some what. Overall I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, stay at the Holiday Inn down the street. Les mer

Easy to get to, located near Pisa, but it's a shabby, dingy hotel. Our room was dirty, the shower walls broken, the drain didn't drain. The breakfast was the worst we had on our 2 week trip. You'll survive, but I just thought I'd note that our experience was quite sub-par. After staying here we stayed in 2-stars for the rest of our trip and every one […] of them was superior to this hotel. Also, make sure there isn't a carnival running next door (literally 30 feet from our window) when you stay there ... there was when we were there and it was tough to sleep until the carnival ended. Buena pero es un tipico hotel de turismo para familias numerosas el restaurante es para contingentes de turismo. todo a ese nivel

O Hotel é muito sujo, os quartos são de péssima qualidade, as camas são tenebrosas, enfim, um dos piores que estivemos hospedados. Exceto pelo Bhartender, os funcionários são de pessima qualidade.

Sono stato con un mio amico 4 notti per Lucca Comics e Games 2011. L'hotel è semplice, forse come altri dicono la 4 stella è un po' troppo, diciamo che sarebbe un 3 e mezzo, soprattutto perchè la Spa non era ancora in funzione. La camera era molto grande, il pregio migliore. Altra nota positiva il menù del ristorante, piatti abbondanti e non molto cari, […] ma non prendete niente fuori dalla carta perchè vi spellano. Per il resto molto semplice, non è bellissimo, vi deve piacere la moquette ovunque. Il parcheggio è molto grande come tutto l'albergo. Non era molto vicino a Lucca, diciamo 12 minuti di auto, però visto il prezzo scontato del 44% c'è andata molto bene. Les mer

Para quem viaja de carro o hotel vale a pena. É bem fácil chegar, mas fica um pouco distante do centro histórico, difícil de ir caminhando e o trem não é muito conveniente. O hotel é simples, deve ter tido seu tempo de glória, mas está mal conservado. Perdemos o café da manhã, por isso não posso dar minha opinião. Reputo l'hotel non da 4 stelle ma da 3, la quarta penso gli sia stata assegnata per il centro benessere che però non è più aggibile anche se sul sito questo non viene detto. Le camere sono molto spaziose,si può migliorare sulla pulizia. L'esterno dell' hotel evidenzia la caduta di intonaco e crepe nei muri non ripristinate. Il personale è la cosa più […] bella dell' hotel. Divertenti e disponibili ci facevano iniziare le giornate con delle grandi risate. Posizione interessante a 10 minuti dall'autostrada e da Lucca. Hintalaatusuhde oli meidän tapauksessa aivan kohdallaan. Aamiainen oli hyvä ja tuotteet tuoreita. Huoneet olivat vanhoja ja hieman nuhruisia, mutta palvelu pelasi ja yömme nukuimme hyvin ja rauhallisesti
