hotellet er et flott utgangspunkt for besøk til alle de gamle severdighetene i Jerusalem og er i seg selv et studium fra hagen utenfor. Eneste minus er at rommene ikke er lydtette, dvs man hører hva som skjer rundt

Vi kom meget tidlig til hotellet, ved 04 tiden om morgenen men det ordnet resepsjonisten for oss og vi hørte ikke noe mer om ekstra betaling. Hotellet var gammelt, men koselig og virket velholdt. Hyggelig betjening. Det kom litt vann ut på badegulvet når vi dusjet. Rommet vi hadde var meget rolig, men det lå nokså langt "inne" i bygningen og hadde ikke […] fantastisk utsikt, selv om det hadde utsikt. Beliggenheten i seg selv var imidlertid veldig bra, i gåavstand til Gamlebyen i Jerusalem og til sentrum ellers. Fra lobbyen var det fantastisk utsikt, mot det gamle Jerusalem. Det var meget rolig, ikke noe støy selv om hotellet ligger på en nokså trafikert vei, dette har noe med topografien å gjøre, at hotellet er bygget i en skråning og vinduene befinner seg i retning bort fra veien. Alt i alt et veldig koselig og ryddig hotell med grei betjening og likevel ikke særlig dyrt. KOmmer nok gjerne til å bo på samme hotell om vi vender tilbake senere. Les mer

Store, gode rom. Fin beliggenhet nær Gamlebyen. Fantastisk frokostbuffet. Litt skuffende at de ikke kunne skaffe ikke-jøder mat på Yom Kippur. Kanskje litt i dyreste laget. En ulempe at internett-tilgangen var dyr og dårlig.

Hotel is in an excellent location, walking distance from the Old City of Jerusalem. The hotel staff were very helpful in recommending restaurants and activiities. The views were excellent. Breakfast buffet was also excellent with a large range of slads, hot dishes, pastries, and local dishes.

Great Views of the Old city Walls especialy from the outdoor jacuzzi. We loved the hotel furniture and the Hamam.

I was disappointed with my stay at the hotel. The hotel staff where not at all friendly and when asked a specific question would answer with "over there" or "that way" and the room itself for the money in which I paid was not at all of the standard that I would have expected. The food though was very good and well presented.

This hotel is close to the walled city of Jerusalem and has a history that makes it more interesting. The hotel was originally a hospital and was critical to getting supplies into the old city during the 1920's blockade. We walked from the hotel to the old city everyday during our stay. Now, it's a luxury hotel with many features and comforts. The staff […] was most friendly and welcoming and the towels! The towels are thick and huge - makes a shower feel wonderful! The beds are comfortable and clean. We stayed for six nights in November 2012. Because of the season, the heating was on and air conditioning was not available. My wife and I booked it on a recommendation, we got upgraded to a suite when we got there. My wife did not want to leave after 3 days, she loved the decor, the staff were very helpful and we would definitely go there again. We were not aware that breakfast was not included, as all are other hotels did include breakfast. The charge for breakfast was $26.00 each even if we just had coffee. Unfortunitely there is no place near to go for breakfast. I would never stay at this hotel again.

We paid for an upgrading room, and paid quite a lot more for this, however, very disappointed with the room that we received. Although this had a balcony which was a bonus, it was a very basic room and not very large. The room was not deluxe which we were expecting and certainly not worth the extra money that was paid. The room was not very clean and […] furniture needed updating. The breakfast was excellent and far exceeded my expectations. Having walked to the other side of the hotel to the right of the entrance door, the foyer and communal areas were far superior to the left hand side of the hotel, were our side was drab and by the service lift, with an old painted piano stuck at the top of the stairs. My family loved this hotel. It is five blocks from the Old City, so the location is terrific. You can walk to the Old City of Jerusalem from this hotel. It has a unique style, unlike the cookie cutter hotels we stay at in the U.S. The hotel staff was great, and booked several tours for us, both in advance of our arrival and during our trip. Mt Zion Hotel is within walking distance to the Old City, parks and excellent restaurants on Emek Refiem. The view of the Old City at sunset is breathtaking. It makes you understand the meaning of Jerusalem the City of Gold.

Perched on a picturesque hill close to the Jaffa Gate (10 mins walk), the Mount Zion hotel is in a gorgeous location. Rooms are fairly spacious, reasonably up-to-date, though bath fairly small. Breakfast was not the most extensive (compared to other Israeli breakfasts), but really no complaints - and excellent breads, homemade marmalade, lovely cheeses […] and eggs made to order. Hotel was better than I expected. Front desk staff very helpful at all times. Always at least 3 clerks behind the desk, so no wait to get any question answered or have a taxi called. Location of hotel was excellent, a 10 minute walk to the Jaffa Gate of the Old City. Drug store conveniently 5 minute walk away and a good restaurant and movie theater […] within a 3 minute walk. Breakfast was good, with waffle and omelette station. Juices were too watery and there was no skim milk offered. Dining room staff very attentive. Bathroom was large, modern with excellent shower with strong water spray. Room itself better than average. I really have nothing negative to say about it. I found it a very good value. The location and architecture of this hotel is really lovely. All the shared area's of the hotel are wonderful. The flowers around the pool area are beautiful. The rooms are very dated however, this may be a style choice; we commonly referred to it as 'Grandma`s house'. The double bed was two twin's as opposed to be a double, an occasional leg was lost […] down the gap as can happen, for this reason alone I gave 3 points for comfort but my girlfriend was very happy with her bed. I did not find the staff particularly friendly, I would have liked some information on the area, which I asked for and was given but there was no understanding of the needs of new visitors, as an example I would have liked them to mention where the nice hotels where, how to get through the old town and what time you need to get up to join the queue for the temple mount #very early BTW#, none was offered and from an expensive hotel it’s not unreasonable to expect this. Also internet was not included and the business centre was not working so we could not check our flights without paying for a whole day. Tellingly I did not feel comfortable asking the front desk staff if they could check for us. For this reason a +4 rating does not seem justifiable. Les mer

This hotel is a hidden gem facing the old city. It combines old charming buildings with new (so rooms vary) in beautiful gardens with a stunning view (They moved us to get us a bette view). It isn’t one of those international chains so has a special Jerusalem feel that make staying part of the travelling experience. We found the overall design and furnishing of the hotel very interesting, and its history (make sure to see the museum with the cable car). On our first night we found dirty pillowcases in the room, which we had to ask to be replaced. Cleanliness in the bathroom was not great - no-one ever seemed to clean behind the basin, where bits of rubbish were […] lying. The grounds were spacious; some of the sunbeds had seen better days, and were partially broken and did not adjust properly. The hotel is close to the German Colony, with many restaurants. We walked to the Jaffa Gate a few times, but feel it is easier to take a taxi, as rather tiring walking uphill in the heat. Overall we liked the ambience of the hotel, and would stay there again. This hotel is located within walking distance of the Old City. The walk is great exercise down the hill and then up the hill to the Old City. We were within a 15 minute walk to the Western Wall. The views from several vantage points of the hotel are outstanding. The staff was very accomodating and provided nearly anything we asked. The breakfast buffet […] was very good and consistent every morning with a European feel to it with many fresh fruits and unusual choices for Americans. There are many good restaurants within a short distance of the hotel. The German Colony has several good reasonably priced and casual restaurants and of course being within walking distance of the Old City for dining is also a plus. Our room was comfortable not spectacular but we did not plan on spending much time in our room and with all the things to do and see in Israel it was a good call. The work out facilities are OK but the steam room was great. Pool and spa are good. Parking for our rental car was free across the street from the hotel. Occasionally the lot would get pretty full. We spent six nights at the hotel and plan to stay there again when we go back to Israel as six days and nights doesn't give you enough time to see all there is to see in Israel. We can't wait to come back to the Mt. Zion Hotel! My wife and I are in good shape and enjoyed the walk up to the Old City but for some who don't like to walk they may not enjoy the hotel as much as we did. Les mer

This was a lovely boutique hotel in a beautiful neighborhood. The view from the lobby windows was spectacular. Morning meals were delicious and offered a very large selection of scrumptious food. The hotel was very nice, and I was flabbergasted by how large my room was. It is close to Emek Refaim and to the old city, which was my requirement, but when I walked out the door, I realized there's nothing really there! No restaurants or convenience stores or anything like that. It is, however, across the street from free public parking.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. First of all, the decor is exotic and beautiful - you feel like you're in the Near East, not in some chain hotel. Second, the breakfasts are fantastic - HUGE buffets with everything you could want (except meat - it's Kosher Dairy). Third, the staff was very professional and helpful. Fourth, it is a very quick […] walk (15 minutes) to the Jaffa gate, probably the best-known gate to get into the Old City. Fifth, the views of the Old City from the hotel are great - and even if your room doesn't face the Old City, you probably have a pomegranate tree and a palm tree outside your window. OK Hotel close to Old City. I checked out in the middle of the night and the ordered breakfast box was not to be found. Got some extra youghurt but not satisfied. Could not get a reciept at the front desk. Excellent breakfast and good service during daytime.

This hotel is old and tired and needs to be refreshed. The pictures on their website re probably 20+ years old. Our room was really not fresh. Not worthy of 4 star rating. Also, they have major issues with their internet network that only works intermittantly. The breakfast buffet is reall nice.

The hotel is situated ten minutes’ walk from the Jaffa Gate, the new shopping mall, Mamilla, and close to a beautiful park with an artist quarter. It’s only a 30 minutes’ walk to the wonderful Israel Museum (Ruppin Boulevard, near the Knesset) .The hotel appears neat and tidy, and we especially enjoyed the view, breakfast and the gym. there were some beggars around hotel area asking money. I gave one some coins but he kept following asking "paper money". A hotel security person said it's ok but the bagger made me very scared. Be careful when you walk around the area from the bridge.

There was a problem with our reservation so the staff upgraded our room( view).The fridge wasn't clean and so was the bathtub. The hotel can upgrade the vip treat 2 glasses,2 bottles of water and chocolate. The location ,hamam and breakfast were great.
