A great budget hotel. Clean, bright with helpful staff and a great location. It was a little noisy at night as it overlooks a busy square but a pair of earplugs solved my only problem!

Perfect location, clean, quiet and really convenient, plus a very good breakfast, if you're looking for a modern and with a very good value hotel in the Old Town of Edinburgh don't hesitate !

The hotel is maintained very very clean and neat. Security is very good and also very helpful staff. The rooms are a bit small but very very good for the price paid.

Good location, cheap but clean and staff were friendly

Great location, but this is the only positive thing I can say. The mattress could not have been over 3 inches thick and was like sleeping on a board. The carpet was so stained and worn I was uncomfortable in bare feet. Unless they do some serious work on the interior, I would never recommend this hotel.

It's a budget hotel brand that I've stayed in and been impressed with elsewhere before. The good: Edinburgh Centre looks good from the outside and in the reception. It's in a perfect location for the festival. The bad: The room was of a decent size but as it faced into the internal light-well there was no view and no mobile phone signal. The bed was […] unforgiving, with the mattress seemingly covered with a waterproof sheet which made for a sweaty night on the rough bottom sheet. There was only one pillow each and it was of the cheapest foam which had split down the middle. Only one bath towel was provided each. As we were so worn out from show going we slept well. Right on the Royal Mile. A little noisy but worth it for the convenience. Hotel staff was very helpful and accomodating.

If you are interested in location this is the place for you. Steps off the Royal Mile, this comfortable hotel is just right and reasonably priced.

Decent room for the money, but great location. Just off the Royal Mile. From the airport, you can take the Airlink to the end and just walk up the hill. A short walk from the castle.

Ibis is my first choice for budget hotels - it's value for money and you know what you're getting: a decent place to sleep, relax and refresh. This Edinburgh branch needs a bit of TLC. Whilst the lobby and cafe looked pleasant, the hotel floors and rooms looked tired. The room smelt of fried food (not sure if it was because the room was above a chippy […] or something?) and worn. The bathroom wasn't the usual Ibis quality. Bit disappointed. Les mer

Clean but lacks character. While I was there foreign student groups created noise. Square in front of the hotel a problem. Noise to 2am! Avoid if you are in Edinburgh for work.

Excellent location at the start of the Royal Mile. Staff very friendly. No Parking but an NCP within 5mins walk. For a budget hotel you cant go wrong in a brilluant location.

Great value and you couldn't be more central. Recommended.

Pros Location, price Cons Not clean and low maintenance

Hotel is very convenient for all of Edinburgh's attractions. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Room was quite small and basic but clean - the only downside was the bathroom was very small with only a shower, no bath. Was absolutely fine for a one or two night stay. A "no frills" hotel which is good value for money.

This was a clean and convenientently located hotel at a good price, but no frills or perks. Just a basic clean comfortable room. Right on the royal mile, easy walks to Edinburgh castle, or Hollyrood and many other tours and gift shops. Also easy walks to numerous restaurants and stores. The room was small, but clean, and the bed was comfortable.

We arrived at 12 midday to be told by very welcoming staff that our room was ready. It was very well designed with all we would need and the seating area was a bonus. Although we were not in the hotel a great deal our room was indeed a haven. On check out again the staff were very helpful and being able to leave our luggage until late afternoon was […] brilliant. Pasamos cuatro noches. El sitio es magnifico, todo a mano y muy cerca de la estacion de Waverley (andando con las maletas no llego a los 10 minutos). En plena Royal Mile. En el desayuno completo buffet y a precio igual que en cualquiera de las cafeterias en las que desayunamos. Cambio y limpieza de las habitaciones todos los dias. Hotellet hade toppen läge i gamla stan, nära till flera vackra byggnader och nära till restauranger och Shopping gata. Vi är super nöjda med allt! Gör gärna samma tur igen!

El personal fue muy amable, pero habitación muy ruidosa.

Als Ausganspunkt liegt das Hotel optimal. Der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Würden wieder dorthin gehen.

Huone siisti ja palvelu hyvää. Sijainniltaan hotelli on erinomainen, heti Royal Milen vieressä. Yksinkertaiset ikkunat kuitenkin toivat illan aikana jonkin verran meteliä sisälle, eli ikkuna ei kannata olla Royal Milelle päin jos haluaa rauhassa nukkua.

Men läget är fantastiskt och priset är rätt ok.

Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Royal Mile und ist daher ideal, um abends Pubs aufzusuchen oder einfach nur die Royal Mile entlang zu spazieren. Das Frühstück ist empfehlenswert und günstig. Das Hotel bietet ansonsten einen Basiskomfort nach dem Ibis-Standard, der jedoch bei einem sowieso eher kurzem Hotelaufenthalt ausreichend dürfte. Etwas störend […] ist, dass die Etage 3 nur von einem der beiden Aufzüge angefahren wird und man dann doch nochmal die Treppe nehmen muss. Les mer

Rooms very basic but clean. Excellent location in Old Town.

Sijainti hotellilla ei olisi enää voinut olla parempi. Huone oli perussiisti ilman mitään ylimääräistä. Minibaaria ei ollu, eli juomia ei saanut kylmään. Henkilökunta ystävällistä ja auttavaista, aamiainen oli meillä vain yhtenä päivänä, eikä ehkä ollut ihan hintansa arvoinen. Suosittelen silti!

Relación calidad-precio del hotel perfecta. Está muy céntrico y cerca de la estación de tren y de autobuses. Muy limpio y la gente muy agradable

Gostei sobretudo da localizacao, no centro dos mais importanrtes pontos turisticos.

Inget konkret att klaga på, förutom att sängen på rummet var lite väl hård. Trevlig personal, inga problem nånstans. Och läget var helt fantastisk.

I can truly recommend this hotel. Yes, it's only 2** but it was clean, had the general amenities and was perfectly located. I did not try the breakfast so no idea if that's good but there are lots of little coffee places close by. I was very happy with the experience and for a 2** hotel with a reasonably price it was absolutely perfect!

Siisti hotelli, hyvä sijainti. Hotelli on helppo saavuttaa lentoasemalta bussilla. Keskellä vanhaa kaupunkia, keskellä nähtävyyksiä ja ravintoloita.

オールド・タウンに位置しながらニュー・タウンへの往来も急な坂道を使わずに出来買い物等に便利。もっつとも到着時だけはちょっと坂道・・きつかった。 ホテル内のセキュリティーは大変良く安心 部屋も清潔・朝食もそこそこ 観光にも 飲食にも 買い出し にも不自由なく お勧めします ただホテル前の ハンタースクェアーは 深夜というか朝まで騒ぐ少年・少女がたむろして騒がしい 部屋によっては辛いかも
