Hotel was conveniently located. We left the fan on high to block freeway noise. Continental breakfast was average. It served it's purpose & the price was right. We would stay here again.

Efficient check in and out. Rooms neat, clean. Good mattress. Bare bones accommodation, but if you are just looking for a place to sleep, I strongly recommend this Microtel. Not only free local calls, but, also long distance. Free internet.
"Perfect Price for an overnight stop"
We had three rooms and all enjoyed our quick rest there. The desk was extremely friendly and quick with our late night (early morning) check in, we all had some breakfast and hit the road. Shower water pressure was good and the price was PERFECT!

I have stayed at many other hotels in this area - for the price, the Microtel is very competitive in all aspects! Clean, well maintained, convenient location. I cannot speak on the breakfast as I did not eat there. Would definitely recommend to others and will stay there again!

It was a good value for the price. Convenient location and comfortable. One downside, the room was not cleaned after our first night there. We had to go to the front desk to get clean towels when we returned from our day trip. Also, our reservation was for 3 adults, but there were only 2 cups in our room for coffee. Clean, comfortable, good value. If your room can be part of a suite the people next door can be heard. It's a real basic breakfast that's offered. Bring your own fruit, yogurt, eggs, etc. if you require them at breakfast time.

This is a clean although VERY small accomodation. I thought we were walking into a camper or dorm room. The drawers were under the window seat next to the heater/air conditioner. Everything was buillt to save space. This was the smallest room I have ever stayed in. The breakfast area was small and hard to get around when more than a couple of guests […] were in the area and definitely a continenal breakfast with no extras like fresh fruit. Even the laundry was being folded at the front desk. I assume they have no place else to do this. If you are just staying for the night and do not care about walking around your room or needing a desk,etc. this will fit the bill - but that will be all. You will not want to stay in the room for long but it is cheap. Les mer

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for one night. It was OK, but not as good as I had hoped from the reviews. The lighting was very dim in the hallways, which made it feel and look old and dingy. The hotel is conveniently located near a lot of shopping and dining, just off the interstate. The room was clean and nicely made up, but had a strong cigarette odor. Note: All rooms have been designted "Non-Smoking" for over a year now, but this room was obviously a "Smoking" room at one time. Anyway, we called the front desk to request a different […] room, but they were unable to accomodate our request. Apparently there were no more rooms available for our room rate. (It was not clear to me whether other rooms with a higher rate were available or not.) For this reason, I can only give the hotel an overall rating of "2" and cannot recommend this hotel to others. "Hotel Stay in Onalaska"
My husband and I had a great stay at this hotel, I was here once before in october last year the weather was perfect then, it was great here except for the wind made it hard at times when we fished in our canoe. The only thing I had a problem with is the mini frig. Makes a ticking kind of noise at night drove us nuts so we unplug it, other than that […] we will come back again the beds are very comfortable. The bed was horrible, which was bad for my husband since we were there for a conference. There was no list of channels for cable tv, breakfast was awful. I asked for extra shampoo and towels, i didn't get them.

Loved the window seats. Unplugged the AC, as it was freezing in the room. Cold breakfast was okay. Nice bedding, clean room, decent stay for the price. Very convenient location off I90. The room was kind of small, with an armoire instead of a closet, but perfectly adequate. Almost didn't book because of some of the negative reviews, but glad we did. While the hotel was convenient, my nights stay there was at best mediocre. Desk staff was not very somewhat rude and not real helpful. I walked to piles of Laundry on the Front Desk. The hallways had a peculiar smell to them. Shower/tub was not very clean.

"Clean Room/Great Price in La Crosse"
Stayed for four nights at this Microtel so I became real familiar with the facility. Once you get past the small size of the room (I had one full size bed in the room), you begin to appreciate the great price and comfort this hotel offers. Everything in the room worked at it was supposed to, except the air conditioner was a bit noisy. A good bed, enough […] pillows and a bathroom with a good shower is all I needed. There was even a small desk area where I could use my computer and the window seat under the window provides a good elevated horizontal surface for sorting clothes etc. WIreless WiFi was free and worked well. I was even able to do some laundry up stairs on the second floor. $2.25 to wash (Super Cycle) and $2.00 to dry per load. Bring quarters! I slept through the 9:30am close of the complimentary breakfast, so I can't comment on the service or food. Also, I would request a room on the opposite side of the building from the interstate that runs by very near the hotel, for the most quiet room. Otherwise, the Microtel was exactly what I needed at a great price. Thanks to Hotels.com for finding the best rates in La Crosse and allowing me to book it online. Les mer

"Bad first night"
The hotel was great except for the first night. I pulled back the bed to find extremely small black bugs crawling on the sheets and pillows. I don't think that they were bed bugs, the seemed to be attracted to the overhead lights, but nonetheless not very appealing. I was kind of expecting a not so great room simply because of cheap it was but I was really impressed with the quality of help and of the room! It was clean and well maintained. There was a great window seat in the one queen bed room I got that was a pretty nice feature!!

I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE FRIENDLY SERVICE WE RECIEVED FOR OUR 3 DAY STAY. WE GOT THERE EARLY AND THEY WERE VERY ACCOMIDATING TO GET OUR ROOM READY SO WE COULD GET RIGHT IN. WE FOUND THE HOTEL VERY CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED. I WOULD DIFFINETLY STAY AGAIN AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND. THE PERSONEL WERE SO NICE.

If you are looking for a nice place just to sleep and relax - this place was great. The rooms was not large, but big enough for the 2 of us and very clean. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Staff was friendly. It is located near many restaurants and a major mall.

Was perfectly fine for the one night I stayed. The air conditioning unit was weak, so it was a bit uncomfortable in my room. I, otherwise, had no complaints. The benefits far outweighed the cons. I'd stay there again.

I was impressed by the cleanliness of this hotel. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Much more than I expected for a no-frills hotel. Would stay there again!

Well kept hotel. The room was very clean, and housekeeping kept things in order. For the most part the staff was very friendly. About a 10 min drive to downtown LSE. Supermarket next door, shopping center a short walk away. Good deal overall.
