Executive Royal Inn N Calgary - Calgary

I had a wonderful stay at the Executive Inn! The staff were very friendly, the service was great and the rooms were comfy! The lobby restaurant was very good, from evening dinners to Sunday brunch!!! I would stay here again for my next visit to Calgary this year and would recommend it to anyone! My only complaint would be the jaccuzzi area. Not sure […] if it's due to low uses, but it didn't look too welcoming and my boyfriend and I were really looking forward to it. This hotel definately felt like home away from home. Very friendly staff, knowledgeable. Would stay again.

I stayed at this hotel because it offerred the best rate and it was located in the part of town that I wanted to stay in. I had to leave early the next morning and be on the Trans-Canada Highway by at least 8 o'clock. I had also previously stayed here before and I liked the service and the cleanliness of the place. The staff at check in were friendly. The hotel in general is quite nice. On arriving in our room I noticed that our room was nice enough, but the level of cleanliness wasn't great. There were big rumples in the duvet with a nasty white substance encrusted on the corner. It grossed me out so much that we pulled the blanket out of the closet and used […] it to cover the duvet so that we weren't touching it. I kept waking up in the night to adjust the blankets. Received a "goodie" bag for two pets this time round. Stayed here before in a regular room, with pets, but did not receive pet gifts. Also had to ask for breakfast vouchers after paying for room/breakfast deal. Check your details before leaving reception desk. Seem to get better service with the 1 bedroom suite.

I chose the Executive Royal Inn in Calgary because it had a good weekend rate. I'm not a big spender and look for reasonable rates whenever I stay at a hotel. As long as I am fairly sure that a hotel will be clean and my car will be secure I will try that hotel. I have stayed at this particular hotel before and so I knew it would be clean and that my […] car would be fairly secure. My room was on the sixth floor and it was clean and comfortable. In spite of the fact that the International Airport is just a few minutes away, I did not experience any great noise disturbance. I was again very satisfied with my stay there. Les mer

We had a nice quiet stay in the hotel. Staff was extremely pleasant. Van driver to the airport was surprising pleasant and friendly at 4:30 in the morning:) Wonderful exercise room and equipment. Would definitely return for a second visit!

At first glance our room seemed really clean. While sitting on the couch, I noticed a long black hair on the night stand. Okay, one hair. Not so, we then saw several long, black hair on the rug. Then on the bathroom floor. When we pulled back our covers on the bed, several long black hair on the pillow. Just sitting on top. Then there were more in between […] the sheet and the blanket. Either the cleaning lady has really long, black hair and they fell out while she was cleaning, or she didn't clean very well. I think she just might need to wear a hair net while cleaning. This hotel is awesome. I don't know what to say, it rocks. The staff is friendly, they gave helpful advise, the rooms and bathrooms were huge and well taken care of and although I didn't eat at the Graze restaurant in the hotel, the food in the pictures, posted outside, looked amazing. Additionally, I love how these guys went above and beyond the run-of-the-mill […] hotels. I especially enjoyed the complimentary sewing kit, mouth wash, lip balm, shoe polish kit with the shoe horn and "luxury" soap bar. If you're staying in Calgary, this is the place to be! Les mer

this is a good location to access calgary. the light rail is not too far about 2 km away. 10 minutes from down town. great staff, reasonable rates for a quality hotel.

Very comfortable and clean. Booked for 3 people but sofa bed not made up for use. All bedding was there though. Would have been nice for 1/2 bath to have hairdryer so as not to hold up main bathroom for shower use. Very good buffet breakfast included in price. Would recommend.

One of our distributors chose this hotel for me and he made a wise choice. It was close to the airport, close to shopping and a hug array of restaraunts, plus it was close to their office. The hotel itself had very nice clean rooms, very airy lobby area, and wonderful food in the restaraunt. Would definitley stay there again for future visits.

quiet, clean, and great shuttle service. Only thing I would like to see, is a small assortment of breakfast items, cereal, eggs, healthy muffins, for the early risers.

I stayed in this hotel recently to attend a two-day conference being held there. Location wise, the hotel is great - close to all amenities and plenty of restaurants. However, regarding the hotel itself, like other reviewers I had a varied experience. On the upside, the hotel staff are pleasant and quick to serve. The hotel's ability to host multiple […] conferences/workshops was great, and the facilities never felt crowded. The bed in the room was comfy, the pillows were great and there were plenty of fresh bath towels. On the downside, the conference space was consistently very cold, and despite attempts to work with the thermostat, my fellow conference-goers and I ended up bringing in sweaters, gloves, touques and blankets from our vehicles to keep warm. The catering staff struggled to provide enough coffee, tea and water for our group, and the lights in the conference space flickered constantly. The bedroom I stayed in was very poorly lit - I needed to turn all the lights on in order to have sufficient reading light - and the bed linens were thin. The bathtub was stained various shades of yellow, and the toilet paper was wedged into the roll holder - there was no bar to keep it in place, resulting in the rolls falling to the floor when I went to use them. The proverbial icing on the cake was the constant, lingering smell of cat urine. While the location was great, I don't think I would return to this hotel. Les mer

Clean, safe and really good food. The staff is very friendly too. Excellent location. Next to Delfinity if you are interested in swimming with dolphins (highly recommended). Very close by from restaurants and shows in Ixtapa. The only thing is that it doesnt have internet all over the hotel, it just work at the lobby. Stayed one night for business. Convenient location in between downtown and airport. Nice and clean room. Good service in hotel. One whirlpool was closed and exercise room was scorching hot so unable to work out.

The name sounds far more grand and impressive than the actual hotel. Close to the airport - probably the only positive about this hotel. Location - uninspiring and does not tempt the visitor to want to explore any more of Calgary. The room smelled of stale smoke. It was a drab room and did not seem clean. I'd rather travel further from the airport […] than stay here again. Les mer

We chose this hotel because it is close to the airport. We enjoyed our stay and we were very impressed with the shuttle service staff and were grateful we didn't have to drive to the hotel. We were also very happy to be able to leave our vehicle at the hotel and not have to worry about it during our trip.

This hotel was much nicer than I expected, based on other hotels in the area and the not-so-great neighborhood. The room was clean, spacious, updated, and quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also fairly large and new-looking. The buffet that the restaurant offers is not bad, but a bit pricey. When we first arrived at the hotel we were please to see that it was conveniently located just off of Deer Foot Tr. Not being too familiar with that city that was a bonus. It had been a long drive and I really wanted to check-in quickly, so I could use the restroom; however, there was no one at the desk to check us in. I left my partner to wait at the […] desk and I still couldn't seem to locate a washroom on the main floor-or at least a sign leading me in its direction! Upon returning to the desk, someone came out to check us in quickly. We proceed up to our rooms which were very clean. I did find the lighting to be rather dim, and every individual light had its own light switch you had to flick on which was rather annoying. Bed was a typical hotel bed. We didn't hear anything from any other rooms, and the rest of our stay was good until our quick check-out in the AM. Les mer

Busy hotel, even during the week. Close to many shopping areas, resteraunts, etc., whithin walking distance or short drive. Airport close by. We stayed there as it was close to the Peter Lougheed hospital where we had an early appointment the next day. It was only a 5 min drive there. Clean. Nice buffet resteraunt in hotel, gift shop and hair dresser. […] Many conference rooms as well although I did not use them. Rooms were clean and comforatble, though nothing spectacular. Handy to the Calgary International Airport, this hotel was a bit worn out looking for the price but clean. Room was very clean. Bed was a little hard for our taste. Wake up call and arrangements for airport shuttle we easily made upon request. Felt this info should have been provided though without having to ask for it. would stay there again.

We had close access to all the spots where we had to attend functions plus close to downtown and sightseeing spots

The hotel staff was friendly, room was very clean (and allowed pets!), check in and out was fast and smooth which was helpful after a 15 hour drive.

1) We ordered room service. The lady there told us that I need to come down and pay for it. I said I will pay cash then in a condescending tone she tells me "then you need to pay me in exact change". Extremely rude staff. 2) In the morning we asked room service to send couple of tooth brush kits to our room. They tell us come down and get it. We cannot […] come to your room. Is this the kind of service you get when you pay so much for a room? 3) We talked to the assistant manager when he came in and refused to acknowledge that anything like this should happen. 4) We asked him to tell the hotel manager to call us. I called and left a message after a day. Still waiting for his call. All in all extremely discourteous and uncouth staff. Never, never stay in that hotel. Les mer

We enjoyed the hot tub. Breakfast was really good. The shuttle driver was extremely pleasant and very helpful. Only complaint is the room was dark, needed more lighting.

This is a fab hotel, excellent breakfast, comfortable room, helpful staff, shuttle bus to airport - will stay here again when we go to Calgary

Staff was VERY accomodating except the front desk staff that was just good. They only have one person available with no back up so things can get busy real fast. Overall, the stay was very good and we will stay there agin next year for the Stampede.

Het hotel werd van te voren door ons betaald. Daarbij werden creditcard gegevens inclusief datum en speciaal nummer afgegeven. Zonder probleem verkregen wij de sleutel van de kamer. Bij het buffet als avondeten werd alleen het kamernummer gevraagd plus handtekening. Begrijpelijk. Om 23:00 uur (we lagen al te slapen) werden wij gebeld: "Men had geen […] print van onze creditcard". Of we even naar receptie wilden komen. Nee dus. Security officer meldt zich (netjes) om 23:15. Hij informeert ons dat wij fout zijn omdat het hotel geen print gevraagd heeft van onze kaart. (De kaart waarvan ze dus al een betaling ontvangen hadden). Uiteindelijk kon er een print gemaakt worden en vergaf men "onze fout". Fijn als je de volgende dag wil vliegen en aanpassen aan het tijd verschil. Het buffet is af te raden. De keuze is ondanks de aankondigingen sterk beperkt en de smaak gemiddeld. De plek bij het vliegveld is OK, zeker wanneer men de overnachting doet met huur auto/camper en eerst een nacht in een hotel wil uitslapen. De afstand tot downtown is daarmee wel wat groot. De kamers zijn netjes ingericht met een goede internet verbinding. Gratis vervoer van en naar airport is op afroep maar wel netjes. In de buurt van het hotel is absoluut niets interessants, Kortom, geen ramp, maar het kan stukken beter. Les mer

Het nette hotel ligt in buurt van vliegveld en heeft dus als eerste overnachting hotel een goede plek. Mede omdat het niet te dicht onder de vliegtuigen ligt. In de omgeving is niets bijzonders. Het hotel biedt alles wat verwacht mag worden voor de prijs, maar niets meer. Een "King size bed" is bij ons een normaal tweepersoonsbed. Niets mis mee, maar […] geeft aan wat te verwachten valt. Het ontbijt is keurig verzorgt met wat trage bediening voor diegene die een omelet wil. Vleeswaren horen er niet bij. Wel een vriendelijke bediening. Les mer

Na een lange vlucht was het hotel een prima verblijfplaats in de buurt van de luchthaven. Prijs kwaliteit in orde. Vriendelijk personeel, nette comfortabele kamer en vooral een goed ontbijt.
