"downtown - central location"
pleasant overall experience. no shelves for clothes in rooms -we had 2 rooms. staff was very pleasant. breakfast was a bit uneven -burnt soda bread one morning, stand-in cook unable to poach eggs the next. waitress was very nice. overall a great location - walking distance to restaurants and bus depot and a bargain for the money. would recommend it […] . "Travelodge Belfast-right in the Center"
Hotel is located in the Center of Belfast. Walking distance to the shops and other attractions. Have to pay to use the Wifi.
"Budget hotel in convenient location!"
Close to all major transportation and walking to many major sites. Hallways tend to be dark.

"Travelodge Belfast"
The location of the hotel was very convenient to Belfast city hall and the main shopping thoroughfare of the city. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The only thing that I didn't like was that the bathroom towels were very small.

To be honest the hotel room was not maintained properly, and it just didn't seem like a nice place to stay. the only thing it has going for it is the really good restaurant attached to it. The restaurant was a five star which baffled me because it was attached to such a place. If anything i would recommend that they revamp this hotel and turn it into […] something more enjoyable to stay. Les mer

"It's a bed, and that's about it."
If you're just looking for a bed and a place to keep your things for the night, then look no further. However, this place was pretty miserable. The shower was downright laughable, as the head was not properly connected to the wall so most of the water splashed on to the floor and the wall rather than me. The room felt and looked pretty dirty. Be sure […] to bring something to wake you up, since the hotel does not provide wake up calls! Parking is difficult to find before 10pm even on weeknights, and the streets outside become ticketing zones after 8am. I'd suggest splashing out on a few extra pounds and choosing another hotel. That being said, the location was excellent. It's right behind The Crown and the City Centre. Just don't expect anything other than four walls and a roof. Les mer

"Excellent location, but a dive"
This hotel was in an excellent location for discovering Belfast however the room was a dive. The shower was mouldy and dingy and there was even mould on my bedside table. The carpets are in desperate need of replacing (or at least cleaning) and the bathroom floors are disgusting.

"Belfast Travelodge"
This is an OK hotel - you get what you pay for and this is one of the cheapest. The staff are friendly, the location is very good, beds are comfortable and the shower is hot. Downside - itys surrounded by pubs and they can go on (loudly) until 2-3 in the morning Thurs-Sat, quieter other days. The garbage trucks come at about 4:30-5 in the morning so […] if you're a light sleeper this could be a problem as the sound penetrates. try not to get a room facing "Fibber Magees" or avoid Fri & Sat night stays and you should be Ok. Grand hotel. Everything a travelodge is, affordable clean and comfy. Pleasant staff too. Nice stay!
"Stay elsewhere"
I brought my aunt here and parents for a weekend away in Belfast City. My aunt was home from Boston. I thought because it was in the city it would work out great. Oh god I have never been so mortified. Awake both nights until 4am as its around the corner from a nightclub and across the road from a pub so from 12 onwards it was very nosy. People singing […] and screaming and dancing on the street until 4am. I had my car parked outside so was so worried about it. Room 506 is the worst room as you can hear everything - didn't help that our window would not close properly. No hairdryers in room. Toilet smelt of urine. Good shower pressure though and the room itself was clean. i had to move my parents from 509 as it was so hot in there and the noise from the boiler was so loud. Moved them down to 103 which was a nice roomy room but right on the street so they didn't sleep either. Overall I really wish I paid the extra 200 euro and stayed in the Fitzwilliam around the corner. At lease I would have got a full nights sleep. Want to mention front desk receptionist very kind though. Breakfast a bit pricey for tea and toast. Les mer

"Belfast Travelodge - Two hotels really"
I've used this very centrally located hotel several times recently. The rooms with baths located overlooking (very lively) bars/nightclub are fine, with new flat screen TVs with a good range of Freeview channels and the (pretty good) standard you normally expect from Travelodge UK. The rooms round the back are quite poor, overshadowed by buildings […] on Great Victoria Street and not well maintained. I was initially put into 106 this time, and as a heavy sleeper who'd stayed in a room here overlooking the back lots of a number of offices/bars/shops once before, wasn't too concerned by the industrial extractors directly opposite my window (although light sleepers will find their noise a very serious drawback). But as I sat down at the work desk, and tried to plug in my laptop, it became apparent that the electrical sockets had been installed upside down and not flush with the wall! Somehat nervously, I flicked the switch and electricity certainly flowed, but it's pretty off-putting and makes you wonder... I then discovered that the bulb in the main light wasn't working. Oh, and there were no towels in the room at all. Popped down to ask for bulb/towels, and the receptionist simply offered another room, suggesting that my problems were pretty common. The new room (at the front) was fine, although old cathode ray TV with limited channels might have been a problem for families with kids seeking entertainment. Really Travelodge should bring all the rooms up to the same standard, or offer a deep discount for those "round the back" which might appeal to backpackers. Les mer
"The Hotel Travelodge in Belfast"
The staff was nice and mostly helpful. A++! But the hotel is located in the place where youngsters and adults equally gather together and yell and shriek almost all night long 7 days per week! This is the only reason I would not recomment this hotel to my friends.
"My Stay"
Pleasant Staff. Within walking distance to shopping area. WIll stay there again. Breakfast priced reasonably
"Travelodge Belfast Center"
Fantastic location for tourists. Three block walk to City Hall and tourist office. Grand Opera House is closer than that. The Crown (famous pub ) is around the corner.

"good location for price"
near plenty of good restaraunts (crown bar very nice, drink specials and pub irene acoss st good) no clock or phone in room very odd and no free wi-fi nearby. i think about 5 pounds for twenty minutes? room is noisy at night because so close to bar, but staff is very nice and helpful. cheap parking on street if you want to pay meter regulary otherwise […] the closest carpark is 14pound a night a block or so away. room kindof dirty. strange substance on toilet paper dispenser (possible vomit?) but you kinda get what you pay for.... great location, nice hotel would defenatly stay there again.
"Travelodge Belfast Central - Great location, noisy"
Great little hotel, fantastic location- interior decor was a bit dated but can't grumble at the price! Was quite noisy at night, but when you stay in a city-centre hotel on a weekend it is to be expected.
"Belfast Travelodge - Too hot to handle?"
Our stay was fine (2 nights at the weekend for a work event). Everything was fine (especially location - very central) but the window wouldn't open more than 1cm and the radiator couldn't be switched off. This made the room unbearably hot and uncomfortable to be in.

"It's worth paying a little extra for other hotels"
We stayed in the Belfast Travelodge on Sunday 24th October. Check in was uneventful....thankfully. Although it is a non smoking hotel there was a smell of stale cigarette smoke on each floor. The hotel is a bit of a maze. Very badly layed out. Sinage for directions back to the lobby were bad. We ended up going down stairs as the exit signs were directing […] us. It was manky. Absolutely filthy. I was waiting to meet a group of junkies shooting up in it because it was so disgusting. I presume it was the service stairs. There was a sign on one floor in it telling staff not to put their cigarettes out on the carpet. Obviously not listened to looking at the amount of burn marks on the floor and the stink of stale cigarettes. The room was not great. Some lights not working. It was very noisey in the morning. The bathroom floo was dirty. Going to bed at about 3am we hung the 'do not disturb' sign on the door. Did that stop the cleaners walking in? NO. 9.30am and we were awoken. We said it to the girl on reception and she was not interested. Operating a cleaning team in a hotel is simple. It can be done in two simple steps. 1. Has the key been handed in to reception? If yes, then clean the room. If no, then don't barge into the room. 2. Does the occupant of the room have the 'do not disturb' sign up? If no, then see step 1. If yes, then leave the guests alone!!! Pay a little extra and stay elsewhere. You'll be glad you did. Les mer
"right in the heart, with loads near by"
this travelodge is right in the heart of belfast with loads of great bars and resturants a stones throw away, the Crown is a must for food and Fibber MaGees has live music which is amazing. We found our room to bit too hot the first night and when we spoke to staff about it they changed our room no problem at all and were very pleasant about it. We […] would recommend staying here is ur looking for a clean and comfortable room, no frills, but everything you need. Oh and the beds are really really comfortable!!!!!!!! Les mer
"Travelodge Belfast Central"
Very nice little hotel. It is close to some good restaurants and centrally located. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. I would stay there again if I came back to Belfast.
"Great Location"
This was my second stay at this Travellodge. A number one location just to the rear of the famous Crown Liquor Salloon. The room was not so big but was clean & comfortable. The reception staff were very helpfull. They assisted on both nights with advice on local tours and excursions and also with local directions. I would reccomend this budget hotel […] to anyone. "Shabby...poor quality rooms"
The rooms were very small..no doors for the cupboards nor lockers... Very noisy outside..not because of traffic or city centre..but some generator running 24hrs next building..showers were horrible...wifi is expensive..Horrible maintenance to be honest...Would never recommend!
The hotel situation is first class. We arrived by bus from the City airport and it was just round the corner in the centre of town. Their food seemed very expensive but next door was the Crown which was fabulous. The hotel itself had everything you needed but was very "tired" - marks on carpet, mould marks in bathroom and lock had disappeared from bathroom […] door. Bedding, towels etc though were spotless. Very good value if you are not too fussy! Les mer
"Cheapest branded room in town, noisey location"
You pays your money, and take your chances. This was the cheapest room I could find *anywhere* near the Europa bus and rail station. (It's less than 5mins walk to the station) The room was comfortable but my window looked down onto a square with a few pubs in it, some of which had loud live music on until the early hours. I'm a heavy sleeper, it […] suited me fine - I'd go back. But be warned if you are a light sleeper. Les mer
"Travelodge Belfast = Disaster"
Room was dark and filthy. Torn bed clothes and curtains. Bathroom dirty.
"Fails to meet the definition of 'hotel'"
So Travelodge is a budget hotel, we all know that. You expect no more than the basics - a bed, a bathroom, a power socket, and a door. However, when the bed is broken and unusable, and the bathroom has no light and no window, and so you need a flashlight to use it, and the only power socket that works is the shaver socket in the bathroom, then all you're […] paying for is a door with a lock on it. At least the door worked - after you slammed it a couple of times, anyway. The room had been cleaned, so it's hard to believe that the bed could be changed without noticing the broken legs, or that the bathroom had been cleaned without noticing the lack of a functioning light. I can understand noisy pipes (we had those too), thin walls (and those), and loud music from the pub across the road - with a central location in an old city, you have to expect an older building and lots of other people nearby. But when the management and staff can't even provide a bed, a shower, and somewhere to charge a phone, you'd do just as well buying a sleeping bag and spending the night in a park. At least at the end of it you'd still have the sleeping bag. Find somewhere else to stay. Les mer
"Poor hotel, great location"
Perfect location, but not a very nice hotel. Staff were not friendly or helpful. There is no parking attached to the hotel and they were of no help finding us a parking facility ... not their problem! Location is right downtown, but very noisy ... possibly because we were there on Friday and Saturday nights!
"Travel lodge Belfast Central - to be avoided"
Room was poorly maintained and not as clean as one would wish. Constant noise due to heating (or other) system. Cannot recommend.
"Convenient but"
Hotel price is the same as other hotels of superior quality in the area, room is very basic - dark and uncomfortable. Budget hotel that charges the same as higher quality adjacent hotels, no parking, if you have a car do not stay here - parking charges will increase the cost of your stay.
"Great location - does what it says on the tin"
We stayed for 2 nights in the travelodge belfast central. Location wise it is second to none - great for shops, pubs, trains, etc. Room was basic but very clean. Bathroom could have done with a little basic maintenance but everything was usable and again very clean. Bed incredibly comfy. We were on the back of the hotel looking onto a service yard but […] that didnt bother us. Also not as noisy as I had anticipated having read other reviews. All in all a great hotel if you want low cost, central and just somewhere to have a cuppa and sleep! Will visit again if in Belfast. Les mer
"**** - would go back, great location - ****"
Perfect location, right near Fibbeys and a Irene and Nans is perfect for cheap drinks and decent grub. Its not a 5* hotelm but its what you need, clean and central.
"Belfast Central Travelodge"
I know what to expect from a Travelodge and have used them for both business and leisure. And it is why I like to use them, you know exactly what you are getting. This Travelodge however disapointed. Radiator that wouldn't turn off as the building heating didn't turn off. Room only set up for 1 person even though it was a double booked with two people. […] Holes in the shower taps... Can't fault the location, but there are other chain hotels in the area that i'm sure will be better. I also can't fault the staff who were always polite and helpful. Les mer
