Days Inn Sheffield - Sheffield

To be honest, we were completely disappointed with the whole experience. The room was dirty throughout. The walls had burn marks on from the wall heater. The bath & shower were also unclean. On the morning of leaving, the girl on reception was extremely rude. We certainly won't be returning to ANY 'Days Inns'.

Had a nice stay at this hotel but the people next door happened to be smoking cannabis, and the smell of it was coming in through the bathroom vent. Lovely hotel though with very helpful staff.

Excellent hotel, conveniently located and value for money. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and room was ideal, clean and comfortable (although a little chilly on this particular occasion - but I am sure if I had made comment this would have been rectified).

Was a perfect hotel for what was needed, they might want to warn people about sat nav directions though, took me an extra 20 mins to find it, but cant fault the hotel itself

Very quick and easy check in, room was ok for the money the cleaning could have been better ie hairs in the bath and around the soap dispenser and mould on the tiles. the matteress on the bed wasnt too good we could feel the springs through the mattress.The night after we stayed at a premier inn at st Marys Gate that was far superior for the same p […] rice. Dissapointed with the location. Exspecting it to be closer than it was for what we needed to do. Quite difficult to find off from the motorway.

The distance from Sheffield appears to be a little understated in the Expedia description. Also Expedia had not forwarded my request for a non smoking room, fortunately the lovely receptionist was able to resolve this. Overall as a bed and somewhere to sleep fine, however distances appear to be as the crow flies and not as you would drive.

The hotel was excellent value, but proximity to the M1 made it very noisy at night for sleeping, there is no restaurant available so you have to walk across to the services, in the rain not much fun, only fast food available no supermarket unfortunately. Although my room was clean and very comfortable the soap dispensers needed replacing, this I would […] have thought should have been checked when cleaning the room before I stayed, I was there for 2 nights, they were still empty. Absolutely appalling. I was under the false impression that it would be of a similar standard to a travelodge or premier inn. I requested a non-smoking room for my stay and was giving a smoking room which led to me failing to sleep as i had severe chest pains...the lack of sleep was extremely dangerous as i had a 400 mile round trip to make. The standard […] of the room was appalling, stains on the floor, chair, horrid smell, paper thin walls...throughout my stay i was constantly woken by neighbouring rooms who were knocking on each others doors all night. My only blessing is that my trip was a leisure one and not a business one which required a level of concentration! Les mer

Great location and room noise not an issue as we requested a room at the front of the hotel which was provided. Reception staff was superb and attended to our request for extra pillows (why do budget hotels - only provide one pillow each...?) and changed the spare duvet and sheet which unfortunately had developed some mould in the storage bag, very […] promptly. Special thanks should go to the lady on reception who due to the fact the snow meant her night staff were unable to get to work, stayed over and was still pleasant and smiling when we left at 7.15am! - excellent! Nice hotel, clean and spacious. Staff friendly and helpful. Could do with more sign posts once in service station as arrived at night on wrong side of motorway and took 10 minutes to find hotel.

I'm quite used to hotels of all levels, however, the cleaning staff have really let this one down. There were dubious looking stains on the carpet and sofa, even worse, behind the bathroom door was a large ball of dusty, short & curly hair proving that the cleaner had not looked behing it for some time! The almost laughable part was that the painter […] who had recently painted the door frame had painted over the last bunch of hair and it was stuck permanently as a reminder of how bad the workmanship is. The only problem I had with this hotel was the amount of motorway noise I could hear from my room. I got woken up at 6am by a very loud motorbike (and that was with earplugs in!). On the plus side, the staff here are very friendly, there is free Wifi in the rooms and the breakfast was very good. Breakfast was brought to my room on a tray at the time […] I specified and included an Independent newspaper, and some nice quality food items, eg croissant, excellent orange juice and a Muller Amore yoghurt. The only item that was poor was the apple, which tasted like it had been in deep freeze for long time! Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the features the hotel offered for the price ( plus £4.95 breakfast), but would ask for a room on the opposite side of the corridor if I stayed again. Les mer

This was the first time we had stayed in a Days Inn and we were pleasantly surprised. The bathroom was spacious and clean, there were tea and coffee making facilities and spare bedlinen. As it was a hot night we had the windows open - despite being close to the motorway we were not disturbed by any motorway noise, although we had expected this to be […] a problem. Ausser dem Bett war alles zu unserer zufriedenheit. Das Bett war viel zu weich. Das Personal war sehr entgegenkommend.

Un peu mécontent au départ, car nous avions précisé lits jumeaux lors de la réservation et il n'y avait qu'un grand lit et un canapé dépliant. Finalement il était suffisamment confortable pour bien dormir. Donc notre petite contrariété s'est dissipée à l'usage car l'hôtel a répondu à notre attente concernant les tarifs, la proximité et l'accès.
