Hotel Giada - Firenze

everything is so perfect! there are some minor problem in the room, when we told the staff to fix it, they are very helpful and very polite, I would probably choose the same hotel again :)

excellent location, but extremely noisy neighbourhood, very depressing room interiors. Some of the staff were rude. My opinion: cheap, but still not worth it.

Convenient to all places we wanted to see while in Florence. Very close to main train station. We did not have a car, didn't really need one.

Busy neighborhood. Hotel is a little crusty, but location is central.

The walls are _very_ thin, you can even hear people tiptoeing through the hallways late into the night. The window opened into another (shut) window. The air conditioning didn't work at all. It's very inexpensive, but You Get What You Pay For. The desk staff were _very_ helpful and friendly.

My husband and I stayed there briefly. The hotel's location was perfect. It is just opposite the library and in the market, close to the railway station. To sum up its the perfect place to stay to explore the place as the museum and other tourist attractions are in under 5 mins of walking. The […] downside of the hotel was also the location so it was extremely noisy and the walls seemed to be made of cardboard, we could hear everything that was going on, right from our neighbour's sneezes to the clucking of cutlery when they setup breakfast. The beds were creaky and slightly uncomfortable. Having said that, I liked the place, it's more than perfect if you want to explore the city and sleep soundly! Les mer

This is a good hotel. Everything was clean, water was hot, AC functional. Right in the middle of the city which is excellent but bring earplugs for the street noise. Definitely good value.

centraly placed but above the San Lorenzo street market which sets up quite early. wonderfull old covered food market round the corner and Duomo, P republica, P della Signioria, Pontovechio, S Maria di Novella all within 15 mins walk. staff nice, breakfast fine, rooms cleanish but not dirty. Hotel Giada is a short walk from the train station in Florence, it is located in the heart of the leather market, less than 5 minutes from the dome, near the galleria del academia home of the statue of david. The hotel is clean, staff is friendly, they have free wifi. We stayed a total of 4 nights (two 2-night stays) over two weeks. Overall satisfaction was very high. The location is within easy walking distance of the major tourist sites of Florence (Duomo, Ufizzi, Ponte Vecchio, etc.) Our rooms were very clean, well maintained, plenty of hot water and quiet. Hotel front desk personnel were generally very friendly […] and accomodating, with the exception on one individual who appeared to be rather irritable; had he been the only personnel we interacted with I would not be able to recommend the hotel. My husband and I were not expecting much when we arrived at Hotel Giada in Florence last week. Since we hadn't paid very much for the room, I wasn't expecting much more than a (hopefully)clean place to sleep. Not only is the hotel in a GREAT location, just one block from the Duomo, but it was surprisingly more than adequate. Though not fancy, we had […] an exceptionally large room (by European standards), a TV, phone, refrigerator, private bath, and a very nice breakfast was included. The receptionist (Meta) spoke good English and was helpful with all of our needs. There is a computer room in the hotel with free computer access...a real plus for us. The hotel is right on the square of the very fun, yet noisey San Lorenzo Market. They set up early in the morning, so beware if you are a light sleeper. You must park at a garage down the street, as you can not actually drive to the hotel due to the market. Thankfully, we had a GPS (a MUST for traveling in Europe) that led us to the garage, then we walked through the market to the hotel a block away. The garage was 25 euros a day. We would definitely stay at the Hotel Giada again. Les mer

Worst hotel we stayed in Italy.Left and found another one for a better price the next day. Location is OK, right next to a Market, teriible service and room is so depressing , no natural light- like a closet, dreaded coming to this room at night. Felt like a hostel not a Bed and Breakfast. Maurizio, the receptionist was like from a motel, rude and unpleasant.for […] two women, it did not feel safe as the entrance door to hotel did not close properly. Would not recommend. Les mer

Great room for the money. Hot water for shower; but very little water pressure; could use improvements. Good breakfast. The location was central to everything; however, the vendors begin setting up at 4am and you are able to hear all of the noise; especially from the room we had which faced the alley where they kept their stands overnight. Hotel was old, decoration and furniture were very updated. It was clean. Service was just OK. Parking on the city is bad and around this hotel is the worst. The hotel is in front of a pedestrian street that it is a market during the day. They offer break fast for 5 euros but we did not have it.

So easy to find, three minute walk from train station - just walk forward left out of the front of the station toward the square, and walk between the two big hotels on the left, down that little street, keeping left, and look in front of you as you enter the market, above the stalls for the name on the front of the 3-story yellow building. Literally […] across the street from the side of the Medici chapel. We were booked at Giada, which has nice rooms, but automatically upgraded we assume due to space to sister hotel in the same building, Corte de Medici Hotel, amazing treat. Would stay in either again - and recommend! The best location in Florence, a block from central market (food), two blocks from Duomo, about 3 from Accademia (David), etc., in the middle of everything! Les mer

Hotel Giada was great - the staff was exceptional and our room was very nice. The hotel was in a very convenient location, however when you walked out the front door you were in the middle of the market (which was always very crowded). I would still recommend the hotel because you couldn't hear the chaos from the room.

Ideal for exploring Firenze, central and great value brand new room.

The hotel was close to everything! We had a beautiful view of the chapel. Very clean, amazing price! I would reccommend.

The Hotel Giada is hiding behind market stalls on its street. It is across from the Chiesa San Lorenzo, but not easy to find. The room was large and comfortable, if somewhat garishly appointed. The place is clean and the breakfast is good.

The quality of the room, hotel and location was exelent, the same goes for the price. The only problem was that it sounded like someone were remodeling the room next door to ours in the middle of the night with the loudest hammering noises we had ever heard. The result was no sleep during the night, and we had to sleep rather than sightseeing during […] the day.. ( But I don't think it is usually like that..) Les mer

The staff here were not very good with English, fine, they don't speak it as their first language; however, one dude at the front desk we talked to tried to tell me (rudely and angrily) that the Uffizi was closed on Sundays and that he would not be able to get me a reservation to go in until it opened on Monday and then that reservation would be for […] Tuesday. We walked in the reservation desk on Sunday, when it WAS open, and made a reservation for later that same day. Thanks a lot, dude with no customer service skills. Also, the matresses are like rocks here. It's nice to be close to the station but I wish I'd paid more for a better place. Les mer

Zeer goed gelegen familiehotel. Typisch Italiaans qua sfeer.Lawaaierige buurt omwille van de nabijheid van een grote ledermarkt. Maar alle bezienswaardigheden zijn op wandelafstand.De kamers zijn tamelijk primitief uitgerust maar onberispelijk netjes. Het ontbijt gebeurt in shiften omwille van de beperkte ruimte.

Más que un hotel, parece una pensión. La puerta de la calle está siempre abierta y en la recepción nunca hay nadie.

Wij hebben een hele grote kamer voor een zeer bescheiden prijs gekregen. Het is een familie gerund hotel met een familie sfeer. En zeer behulpzaam!

Hotel Giada ligt midden in het centrum, vlakbij de Dom dus alles is gemakkelijk te lopen. Hotel is gemakkelijk te vinden op 5 minuten vanaf het station. Net hotel, nette kamer, ontbijt basic maar voldoende. Prima hotel voor een stedentrip

Hôtel idéalement placé. Personnel pas particulièrement accueillant. Chambre propre. Le gros point noir : le bruit ! D'abord de la climatisation (système antique et extrêmement bruyant) et ensuite de la rue. En effet, il y a un marché toute la journée dans la rue avec des stands sur roues. Or, à partir de 4h du matin, les forains commencent à installer […] les stands... Dur de dormir avec les bruits des roues en fer sur les pavés. Les mer

bonne accessibilité de la gare, à pieds (mais caché par le marché ! il faut s'aventurer derrière les stands, et ne pas hésiter à demander aux magasins). très joli mobiler, salle de bain très fonctionnelle. Chambre un peu sombre, mais très calme.

Gångavstånd till alla sevärdheter. Daglig marknad på gata utanför hotellet. Börjar ställa upp vagnar kl 06:00 och plockar ihop kl 21:00. Störande vid vistelse på hotellet. Ordinärt hotellrum men saknade engelskspråkig tv kanal. frukost ok men måste bestämma tid pga liten utrymme.

Good location, nice breakfast, walking distance to all the culture of the city and the central station. I would highly recommend this hotel.
