Hyggelig sted med rene rom og koselig hage. Frokosten hadde ikke det største utvalget, men det viktigste. Stedet ligger like ved Highway 1 så det er enkelt og komme til og fra. Stedet ligger et lite stykke unna Carmel sentrum, og man bør vurdere å kjøre da veien fra sentrum ikke er opplyst og det blir veldig mørkt om kvelden. Hvis en skal bo flere dager/ feriere i Carmel, ville jeg ha bodd nærmere sentrum. Hvis man bare stopper innom Carmel på vei nedover kysten er imidlertid stedet et bra og rimelig alternativ!

Et helt greit hotel for overnatting i dette området. Fint turterreng i området rundt våtmarkene nær hotellet med masse fugleliv.

Carmel is a weird place. Lots of money everywhere, but this hotel was reasonably priced. Very large and well decorated room, good parking and close to restaurants etc. Excellent service at front desk. Good Wifi. Breakfast was standard for US hotels - quite underwhelming.

"Ramada in Salinas CA"
We stayed for only a night. We found the room was clean and decent. The location was convenient, only 20 min away from Monterey and Carmel which was our destination. A nice breakfast-lunch-dinner place was right opposite. Also conveniently located next to fast food restaurants and a couple of malls. The area seemed safe at night. "I wish I'd stayed in Monterey"
The carpets were very dirty. The staff seemed reluctant to put out more food, coffee... 1/2 hour before the end of breakfast, watered down waffle batter?!?!! They did switch us to a larger room to accommodate a rollaway, but that is the only positive thing.
"Ramada Limited Salinas"
I stayed two nights at the Ramada Limited, and that was 1 night too many. It's not in the best neighborhood and there is not a whole lot around the motel itself in terms of food or entertainment. The room has not been updated in quite a while, and the bathroom was in desperate need of a good scrubbing (the non-slip mat in the bathtub clearly is never […] lifted up when cleaning, as there was a lovely rectangle of mold!! visible in the tub when it shifted during my shower). "My personal worst motel stay."
I spend about 20 nights a year in motels/hotels. I am not really picky, but this was the worst stay ever. We checked in late with kids already asleep in the car. It took ten minutes to check in with no wait. "Worst, Rooms stink"
This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at and I am glad I had it booked for only one night which I wanted to spend while driving from LA to SFO. The room stinked with almost no ventilation. The mattress was perhaps old caused a severe bach ache.

"Ramada Limited- but with all neccessities!"
We were pleasantly suprised to find the hotel had free wireless internet, and comlimentary breakfast. The room was clean and had very nice ammenities, including wonderfully citrus scented soaps and shampoos. Lots of cable channels to choose from, and only 20 mins to the coast of Carmel and Monterey. Very nice!
Our hotel stay was terrible. The toilet got backed up, I called so someone could fix it, instead I was handed a plunger to fix it myself. I paid enough for the room to receive service like that. The room was dirty. There was still an old coffee filter in the coffee pot. This was the first time I used hotels.com and I was very displeased with the type […] of hotels they provided. Les mer

"Spacious room"
Granted, every room may not be the same but I was impressed how much I could spread out my stuff. The king bed and pillows were some of the most comfortable I've ever had in a hotel. The cable TV channels were excellent and everything in the room worked but all electronic equipment was dated (lamps, clock, TV). My friend's room only had 4 lights out […] of 6 that worked. Les mer
"Not so Good"
The room smelt real bad. The area was not very good at all. Other than that it was a cheap place to stay for a night of sleep and you pay for what you get. Cheap.. But we stay at Ramada's often and it was the worst one yet.

Breakfast was very limited but they did have waffles which is what I always search for in hotel breakfasts,no fruit, meat or eggs. The place was clean and there is comp. wifi in the rooms.
"Go to Salinas - but DON'T stay here"
We took an impromptu family trip to see a mission and looked for last minute hotel arrangements and booked this hotel for the first leg. BIG MISTAKE. This is a MOTEL...no stars....The only thing somewhat new in the hotel room was the toilet - thank God! Had we not got in so late (11:30pm) after driving for eight hours, we definitely would have turned […] around and checked out. Think of the sleeziest motel room you've seen in the movies - this is worst. All night I itched from the sheets, and I was sure when I woke up I'd have bed bug bites - that didn't happen....but I was still pretty grossed out. We woke up at 6am and promptly checked out by 7am. Thankfully, the next night we stayed at a different hotels.com - and that experience made all the difference. Les mer

"Where's the breakfast!"
Often we'll stay at a hotel and maybe pay a little more because we know a breakfast is included. We came down for breakfast, there were 4 sausage, a couple of egg patties only offered english muffins, we had to keep asking for some more, we were 5 people in our party and other people arrived they all had to ask for stuff. NO fruit, no wheat bread, no […] yogurt. Yes they did have a waffle maker. I can understand a manager/owner not wanting to waste but this was crazy. Les mer
"everything we expected.."
We were in the area for just one night, so chose this hotel rather than staying in the much pricier Monterey. We were happy with what we got for the price. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was good. The only negative was that the neighbourhood seemed a little sketchy. We walked around during the day but would avoid walking around […] at night. "Corta estadía"
Tuve muy poco tiempo (solo una noche) para poder evaluar el servicio, pero en general bien frente al costo.
