Paris is always great to visit no matter the conditions. But this hotel was the pits. I would never stay at The Standard again. The staff was uniformed, unconcerned, and did not speak English. They did not have basic services, such as adapters for guests. The room service menu was all over the place, and said it ended at 130am every night, when in fact […] it ended at 1030pm. The entire building is collapsing, and the AC system did not work. My room was the size of a pigeon hole. NEVER again. Les mer

The rooms were small, but they were comfortable. There was free wi-fi for guests - even though the connection was shoddy. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and all spoke English. There are a lot of bars/restaurants in the area, and you could hear the noise from outside during the weekend nights.

Located a couple of streets back from the Bastille this hotel is sleek and sumptuous. We stayed there for 3 nights for our honeymoon and the location was perfect close to many many bars and restaurants and a 3 minute walk to the metro (Bastille). The hotel is well located in Bastille area. The room was very small as customary in Paris and a bit too small for two slim guests the wifi did not work well and we had to keep asking for new codes from the reception desk. The staff made us it was our fault and that nobody had ever complained of this, even though I overheard other guests complaining […] of the same problem. Les mer

Can't recommend this hotel enough! 5 minute walk to the subway which gives you access to the whole of Paris, within walking distance to many restaurants and cafes and the actual hotel itself was amazing! Clean, and the staff would do anything to help you :) when we arrived there, there had been a problem with our room. The staff organized a transfer […] to another hotel for the night, paid for our taxi there and back and upon our return upgraded our room for the remainder of our stay. Simply fantastic!!! Les mer

Convenient location a few blocks from a metro stop, very clean comfortable room with a delightfully big and cushy bed. Staff helped us figure out our route on the RER-B/Metro in advance and was quite friendly. For a hotel with "design" in the name, there were a handful of odd little design flaws (gap between the shower door and floor resulting in water […] everywhere, lack of a place to hang the hand towel, and television mounted at a weird angle from the bed) -- but none of them deal breakers. Right in the centre of the Bastille, 5 mins walk from the Metro and fantastic night life! Friendly helpful staff! Enjoyed every minute of our stay! The beds are the comfiest you will find!

Our room was clean and the staff was friendly. The hotel is located in a nice part of Paris that isn't swamped with tourists but is still quite close to all of the sites. Hotel is close to Gare Nord on the metro.

The room was small but clean, convenient and the bed is very good. Bathroom, also smal but clean and nice shower. Good location on a quiet street. So far so good... Problem was that they failed to mention that the hotel was being renovated. Very early morning works started right opposite my room with loud discussions in the corridor, slamming doors […] and drilling! The room was large (we had a corner room) and nicely apponted. It was cleaned thoroughly every day though the bottled water was not replaced and I had wished it was. The noise from the street was not a problem as we went early enough in the season to keep the window closed but I could see that it might be a problem in the summer when the windows are […] opened to catch a breeze. The staff was very helpful and even though we had to leave at 5 in the morning to catch our flight they did not seem tired or put out at the extra work. great location-within 5 mins walking distance of a couple of metro stops. within 15 mins walking distance of notre dame. staff are great and can speak english. breakfast isn't worth the 13 euros, but if you get a cheap deal on expedia then maybe it is. rooms are small, but it given the size of the building in that area its expected. Very centrally placed. We had inside facing room that was nice and quiet. Outside facing rooms I would imagine could be very noisy as close to busy bar restaurant. Room quality good but VERY small double room. For a weekend break however fantastic. I would recommend but don't expect a big room. Small but functional.

Boutique for sure. Newly renovated. Nice staff. In a hip neighborhood. Tons of restaurants and bars within blocks that weren't touristy. Felt similar to staying in Los Feliz or Silverlake. Great location for people willing to stay a bit on the outskirts to save $. 5 minute walk to the Bastille Metro, 20 walk to Notre Dame. Bed was comfy and the curtains […] blocked out so much light we slept like babies. WONDERFUL place to stay for a couple who likes to take it easy on vacation. We recommend! Les mer

I had a single room and the bed was small, but surprisingly comfortable. The room overall was very small for the price, with no view and a very small desk/workspace. Bathroom was nice and very clean. I found a lot to like about this conveniently located hotel with very nice service and reliable assistance in getting a taxi to the airport.

The rooms in this quaint hotel are small but very clean and well kept. Breakfast room on top floor is awash with light and charming. Location and surrounding restaurants are very good. Unfortunately room temperature could not be controlled and noise from other guests in corridor was very loud. Bring earplugs if you stay at this hotel.

deluxe double room is bigger than other double rooms in this hotel might be. nice and clear design, black/white and orange. no schnickschnack and kitsch on the walls. nice service at the reception, helpful. during night a little bit loud outside because of the clubs and bars. but would go again to this place.

The Standard is a nice looking hotel, but is located in a grubby side street of the 11th arrondissement. Quite a young and "edgy" area and quite well located for getting around Paris. If travelling by car, this is not a great location since it is almost impossible to find parking nearby. Only one receptionist at most times and no help with luggage. Rooms […] are clean and a triumph of form over function! not very practical, not even a towel rail or hook. Biggest disappointment is is sze of room. Unfortunately Paris hotel rooms do tend to be small, but the room we had at the standard was barely big enough for a bed; this must be the smallest room I have ever sayed in, Overall the stay was quite pleasant and staff very freindly. Fantastic location for visiting the Marais and Bastille. Lots of nearby restaurants and bars and one little French bistro opposite the hotel was the best meal of our 3 day stay! Staff on the reception couldn't do enough to help, they recommended restaurants, called ahead to book us a table, ordered taxis and were attentive to our extra demands like […] extra pillows etc. Rooms were big for Paris, we had the deluxe room which was great but despite its size there is no room in the bathroom to hang anything or to store anything, and we had our toiletry bags and hairdryer etc on the floor. Biggest drawback is the noise, you need earplugs to sleep as the windows are not double glazed and there is a bar and restaurant below the hotel and lots of general traffic throughout the evening and day. Also the carpets were not that clean, nor the bed cover and the curtains, they could do with a good scrub, but the bed was very comfortable and a really good size so in general we were all pleased with the hotel. Wir waren jetzt 4x in diesem Hotel. Ein Auto braucht man nicht, wenn man hier wohnt. Shops, Bäckereien, Metzger, Restos und Bars sind insgesamt direkt um das Hotel herum verteilt. Die Metro Bastille ist zu Fuß in 5 Minuten erreichbar. Auch das Marais erkundet man von hier leicht zu Fuß. Selbst wer zur Messe will, springt einfach in die Metro und ist […] in 25 in La Defense. Leider sind die Zimmer in die Jahre gekommen, da hilft auch der tolle Putzmarathon des Personals wenig. Wer kein Deluxe Zimmer bucht, hat wie überall in Paris ein sehr enges Standardzimmer. Les mer

Posizionato in un quartiere ideale per gli amanti della vita notturna (ristoranti e locali) ma anche ben servito da metro e mezzi pubblici e non lontano da rue de Rivoli e place de Vosges. Confort, cortesia e pulizia. Le stanze sono come tradizione, piccole.

Das Hotel an sich war gut und das Frühstück ausreichend. Für 3-4 Tage vollkommen ausreichend, bei mehr wird es eventuell zu unabwechslungsreich. Das Zimmer war ein bisschen klein aber für nur schlafen in Ordnung. Leider ist es durch die vielen Bars und Restaurants auf der Straße nicht möglich mit geöffnetem Fenster zu schlafen, weshalb man bei warmen […] Nächten die Klimaanlage anlassen muss. Was a very nice hotel and had good service. The bathroom a bit too small, I think. But we had a very nice stay and even though it was a bit far from centre, we liked the area which offers quite many nice restaurants and bars.

Albergo da consigliare assolutamente. La Camera era un po' piccola #come tutte quelle che ho visto a Parigi# ma in due era comunque confortevole. Posizione strategica vicino a locali, supermercato e metropolitana. La Bastiglia è a 5 min a piedi.

Otroligt litet rum som vi fick, knappt att resväskorna rymdes. Rummet luktade också något unket. Men frukosten var utmärkt och personalen trevliga och hjälpsamma. Bra område med många bra restauranger.

Os quartos são pequenos, mas bem arrumados e bonitos. A localização é exceleeeeente. Tem duas estações de metrô perto, vários mercados, bares e restaurantes de todas as partes do mundo (marroquino, tailandes, italiano, indiano, chines, japones, etc...). Por isso indico não fechar o café da manhã com o hotel, e tomar todo dia café num ligar diferente, […] perto do hotel). Todos os recepcionistas foram muitos simpáticos e solícitos. Dois detalhes negativos apenas: elevador muuuuuito pequeno e no quarto de minhas amigas elas acharam um rato... No meu ele não apareceu! Les mer

La chambre et la salle de bains sont un peu petites mais trés propres. La literie est super confortable. Le quartier est vivant et comporte quelques adresses de restaurants et brasserie. Situation idéale pour l'opéra bastille.

Piccolo hotel con camere e relativi servizi molto confortevoli. Posizione ideale (zona centrale ma in via con poco traffico), colazione buona in ottimo ambiente. Unico neo (probabilmente solo di alcune camere..) è la vista dai balconi della mia stanza, che dava unicamente su un muro a circa 7 m. La ricchezza di ristoranti e localini vari in zona, permette […] di trascorrere in zona le serate, sia a cena che dopo. La posizione centrale e la poca distanza da piazza della Bastiglia e dal Metrò, lo rendono estremamente comodo per qualsiasi tipo di turismo cittadino. Les mer

Petite surprise a l'arrivee : la chambre n'etait pas prete malgre l'heure (17h). Toutefois l'equipe etait tres disponible et a regle le probleme tres vite.
