This hotel was in a great location, close walking distance to millenium bridge, tate modern, river thames walk. Excellent room conditions and cleanliness, would recommend for a central london trip.

This is not a full service hotel but by London standards rooms are 4 star in all other respects and rooms were quiet - a big plus in London. It is a good walk from tube (note that Blackfriars is currently closed) but excellent for buses and Thameslink trains almost to the door if your coming from out of town. At weekend the area around the hotel is very peaceful but still has reasonable facilities. Complimentary tea coffee in a classy small lounge at rear of entrance lobby. The one failing of the hotel is a musty smell in the breakfast room, it seemed good value (charged extra) but we decided it wasn't pleasant to linger there so breakfasted elsewhere.

Was very happy with room. It was all I needed for my stay. Close to everything and clean. Shower was good. Bed was comfortable. There was an ipod charger which was great as I forgotten mine. I would stay there again.

Fast checking. Nice hotel in a nice and convenient place. Free Wifi. Perfect!!

Everything was fine but if you want to visit the main attractions, this hotel is a bit far to stay. However, connections from this hotel is nice enough, so don't worry about it. It is close to metro and underground stations. Besides, there is a bus stop just in front of the hotel (keep your changes to have a ticket)...

The hotel is very clean. The staff were polite and helpful. The receptionist upgraded our room at point of check in which was lovely of him (we didnt even ask). The room was big and we had a view of st pauls. The bathroom was clean and we had a bath and shower. Location was great! right next to southbank. Would definately return. :)

In few words it was excellent! I was in London with my wife and we have really enjoyed our trip. Arrived at the hotel all the chek in as been quickly managed, we have let our luggages in the room and enjoy our trip all day long. The night was really relaxing. Your bed are so comfortable I have never slept as well as in your bed! The only commetary I would like to make is about the breakfast you do not provide any breakfast in your hotel. In your menu there are different type of dishes but no breakfast it's a shame. To conclude if I go back to London I will come back in your hotel. And if there is a club quarter where I will be for my next trip I will book it. Thank you for all

Very nice hotel at a top location, literally 150 meters from St. Paul's Cathedral. Reception friendly, check-in is done via a terminal you could operate yourself, but staff is very willing to assist. Checkout is done on the same terminal, very quick! Room very clean, nice bed with good pillows. One (minor) negative: the bathroom did not have a proper door, only a sliding one. Free filtered water is available near the elevators, nice touch. Had breakfast in the restaurant, buffet style. Large selection of items, good quality. Only orange juice is of the dispenser type, not really great taste. Subway stations are nearby for various lines: St.Pauls station and Mansion House. Note that Blackfriar's station is closed for major reconstruction until 2011. Especially for it's location the price is a true bargain, a hidden gem in London! If I return to the city I will most likely choose this hotel again.

The hotel price was not outstanding, but the location was good. Busy neighborhood right next to the St. Paul's cathedral with lots of restaurants. It is in the Financial District, so a lot were not open late or closed on the weekend. One nice thing was free bottled water on every floor. So nice to take with us every morning as we headed out. The heat in the room didn't work, so the staff brought up a portable heater instead of switching rooms. Not the best solution, but sufficient. Small rooms, but expected for European hotels. Comfy bed & pillows. Big Red Bus tour also stops right outside the hotel, so super convenient to hop on. Tube stop is a few blocks away.

Very convenient location, just in front of Saint-Paul Cathedral and very close to Tate Modern & Millenium bridge. Regarding the rooms, quite confortable but more accurate to a 3 stars hotel than to a 4 stars one.

This hotel was exactly what I needed in London: it was centrally located and accessible by a wide-variety of transportation, meticulously clean, intuitive with its services/perks (free and consistently accessible wifi, free filtered water on each floor, self check-in/out, business center with free priority boarding pass printing, and even a library of books), and a friendly front desk. I've had some horrendous experiences with mungy/noisy hotels in London on previous visits, and this one stands far above them, though it is in a similar price range.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and upgraded our room as I had made a mistake on booking for no extra charge. The room was quiet and very comfortable. The location was excellent. I would definitely stay at Club quarters St Paul's again and would recommend it.

This is the third time in a year I've stayed at Club Quarters St. Paul's, and I hope to stay there whenever I return to London. Hotel management does a truly excellent job with all aspects of this property, from front desk service to room upkeep and comfort, to all the amenities. (Amenities include such fun, thoughtful and/or useful items as exercise equipment brought to your room, shelf space in bathroom, iPod clock radio, and a really nice "Club Room", which is a well-decorated and comfortable lounge and lobby with Internet-connected computers, newspapers, and TV.) I haven't even mentioned location, yet: as the name implies, it's by St. Paul's Cathedral. It's a stone's-throw from the Cathedral, actually, and thus a prime jumping point for exploring The City, the East End, the South Bank of the Thames, and the awe-inspiring Cathedral itself. You can hear the church bells chiming on the hours and quarter-hours, and a veritable concert on Sunday morning, which is another joyful byproduct of the hotel's location. Guidebooks used to say The City, the old Square Mile and present financial center of London, shuts down at weekends, but I haven't found this to be true. There are good restaurants and cafes right across the street from the hotel, one adjacent, a Starbucks and M&S Simply Food a few steps away, as well as numerous Tube and bus stops. Terrific hotel (in a terrific city).

I don't find it a 5star hotel: no shower cap, the kettle didn't work, a spider on the curtain. Too expensive for what you get.

Glad to find this hotel. Superb LOCATION! Really. ROOM is not that big but is efficiently designed. Surprised to know that standing in front of hotel, I could just see St.Paul's Cathedral on my left with just less than 1-minute walk. Another 5-minute walk to Millenium bridge, Tate Modern and Shakespear's Globe. Another 10-minute walk to Borough Market and London Bridge. If you can, another 10-minute walk to Tower Bridge. FACILITY is great with free in-room wi-fi and internet at lobby. Ironing board available. Plug adaptor available. Reasonable RATE. I don't regret choosing this hotel.

very clean and nice - just very small room

Located just a few minutes walk from St. Paul's, The Museum of London, The Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe, and numerous dining options; this hotel was a great choice!

good size of room, great location. bathroom is a bit small but comfortable. hotel staff was ok, nothing out of the ordinary. tube station is not too close. bit of a walk especially with bags.

Got a great rate off of hotels.com, and this hotel lived up to the hype. Rooms were very clean and the location can't be beat.

This was the last hotel we stayed at during a long trip. By this point, we were glad to be at this hotel. It had a clock with an alarm setting that none of our other hotels had. It was comfortable with a nice size bed, a fridge and a microwave. There was a hairdryer in the bathroom. One thing that we did not like about this hotel was that the windows were not soundproof. We were facing the street and heard the bells of St. Paul's every half hour and we heard the tour buses all morning. Proximity-wise, we were very happy. We were a short walk away from two different tube lines. It was a nice place to come back to at night with many different food options and a Mark and Spencer's right down the street. However, it took many phone calls to get them to bring up extra pillows, and they did not always take out the trash. On the whole it was a fine place to stay with just a couple of slip-ups on their part.

checkin was easy....1 minute!!! very comfortable room. great central location for all our sightseeing needs.

Great location to financial district. Free internet and free filtered water are too key advantages. The lounge on the ground floor is pleasant for reading the newspaper and offers internet and printing capabilities--perfect for printing boarding passes. I really enjoye the location. For the money it is a great value.

Club Quarters has excellent weekend rates on extremely functional, well equipped, very nice rooms. QC St Paul was no exception. The hotel is adjacent to ST Paul's Catherdral and near the St Paul underground making it a very convenient base to see London.

Very pleasant 2 night stay. Comfortable bed, clean room. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again. Nice area being so close to St Pauls.

Apart from the location, it was comfortable, if a little on the small side. Service was OK (once receptionist ended her personal telephone call). I would return.

Stayed here in October 2008, jumped at the chance to book here again in March, and was not disappointed. Excellent, friendly service by hotel staff, and terrific rooms and facilities (except the elevators were balky both visits. These could stand an upgrade). Location is terrific, too: a few feet from St. Paul's Cathedral; several Tube and bus lines close by, as are restaurants, cafes, museums and the Thames. There's a Marks and Spencer Simply Food just outside the hotel, and another grocer a block down the street. Have already booked another stay at this property for September.

Great for the money. Perfect if hanging around the hotel is not your objective. Included unlimited complementary bottled water. Grocery store across the street. Unbelieveably beautiful location - very convenient to city center around the Thames River. Wonderful experience.

Superb location for us as we went to watch the London Marathon. Easy access to tubes and DLR was reason for booking. Check in was swift and friendly. Room was clean, big, comfortable and had everything we needed. Loved having plates and cutlery as we had our 4 year old with us and instead of dragging her out late to find food we were able to order in - how convenient!!! Breakfast (not included in price) was excellent and very good value for money. All the staff we met were friendly and very accomodating of our little girl. Location was stunning - practically next to St. Pauls.

Club Quarters is ideally located, just behind St Pauls and v near the tube station. A short walk has you strolling down by the bank of the River where you will find some lovely restaraunts and bars. The Club Quarters was great value for money, we had a studio which slept 3 (camp bed for the 3rd which was fine) compact fridge,microwave,sink in our room. The city tour bus stops right outside the door. Would definitely recommend for a short break in London.

This has everything you need for a weekend break. It is not too far from the West End, it is quiet and comfortable.The convenience of a small kitchenette makes for very flexible use of time, no need to worry about finding somewhere to eat, M&S is on the corner. Excellent, and not overly expensive.

My husband were so impressed with the quality of this hotel. The staff was cordial and enthusiastic. The room was spacious and immaculate with pressed linens and even a washcloth. The bathroom was enormous. The studio was perfect for our needs and there was ample shopping steps away. Perfect location. We HIGHLY recommend this hotel!

Stayed at the hotel friday through sunday and really liked the overall value and condition of the hotel. Great location next to St Paul's Cathedral and very comfortable firm bed. Staff very helpful with taxi to Heathrow A/P. Would stay here again.

My stay at Club Quarters was brief, I checked in at 8.50pm and checked out at 9.23 - and I slept for 10 hours of my stay! Nevertheless, I was impressed with the courtesy of the staff and the speed of check in. The hotel was well situated and only a short walk to the main high street (if you had time for shopping) which was full of big name shops and restaurants. My room was basic but clean and provided the necessary gizmos and gadgets for internet connection, an ipod docker and a roomy desk on which to work (not that I did. It was also good value for money given its City location and even though there was no breakfast included, there's a lovely cafe bar a couple of doors down that has a great breakfast menu. In terms of using it as a base from which to explore London, Bank, St Paul's and Mansion House Underground stations are all within a 10 minute walk so its ideal. In general, I was very impressed and would definitely stay there again.

This hotel provides a relatively clean (London standard) base to visit a working place in the city. A nice set of restaurants and late evening M&S food court helps you when hungry. Room is spacious, but interior looks somwhat old. Do not expect a flatscreen tv, but you do get a shower with a shower curtain which is relatively new and not too smelly. The mini bar is empty, but you can get a bottle of purified water in the corridor. Great place for location. Medium for fit out and comfort. Good for spaciousness and cleanliness.

Pleasantly surprised, great value and location. Hotel restaurant was poor but great places to eat all around. Can also cater yourself with fridge and microwave in room.

Fantastic location, and nice and quiet at night like lower Manhattan. Roomy, clean hotel with queen size bed and kitchenette in the room that was a pleasant surprise. St. Paul's is literally next door, and it's a short walk to the tube stops and Smithfield. A great find!

Very much enjoyed our 2 night stay. Convenient for all the things we had planned. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Had absolutely no complaints and would definately stay there again. Liked the extra touches like free bottled water and able to help ourselves to extra tea, coffee, milk etc.

Hotel ideally placed for underground - 2 or 3 stations within easy walking distance. Check-in & check-out procedures very quick. Quiet hotel & quiet area at weekends. Room immaculately clean.

We were very happy with our stay..the rooms were ready by 1pm. leaving us free to enjoy ourselves. Breakfast was fine..we had no complaints.

We were in London for a sight-seeing weekend, and this was a fantastic hotel! Located a stone's throw from St Paul's, we found the room comfortable, spacious and quiet, despite being located on the main road. The free internet access in the lounge downstairs was very handy, & the bottled water dispensers were a nice touch! We will definitely stay there again!!

Friendly, helpful reception staff.Rooms smallish but adequate. Hotel feels modern with nice furnishings. Lounge area is comfortable with complementary tea/coffee.Hotel is well positioned on the bus route, virtually next door to St Paul's cathedral and a few minutes walk from the river. Appears to cater for company only use during the week but opens its doors to Joe Public at weekends and holidays. We would certainly use this hotel again for an overnight or few days stay. For a longer stay you would need a larger room unless you are out sightseeing for most of the day.

Location.

Everything was easy with this hotel. When we arrived we were greeted at the desk efficiently seen through check-in which included being shown how to use their automated check out machines. The hotel was very clean and felt like the tardis when you got to your floor and saw the maze of corridors in front of you (which were all well signposted). The room was clean again, the bed was huge (much bigger than a double bed) and everything was where it should have been. We did not try the gym or use room service but they were just a phone call away. Check out again was easy using the machines and overall, we had a very pleasant stay.

With a comfortable bed, a good view and lots of nice extras outside of the usual -like an ipod dock alarm clock and dvd player on request, this was a great place to stay. The staff while occassionally needing a reminder for a a request were always pleasant and eager to please. The hotel in St Pauls was a little out of the way, but on the plus side, the area was reassuring to come back to late at night. would certainly reconsider and recommend again.

After staying near King's Cross for work, we moved to St. Pauls for the weekend. The hotel was very clean and staff was helpful. Bottled water on your way out was also a nice touch. Great weekend and holiday rates for non-business travellers. Would definitely stay again. Close to the Underground-- recommend buying a day pass (between 5-6 pounds great value!) as a one-way ticket is 4 pounds.

It's a good hotel in a good location.

Fine hotel. Very convenient for St Paul's and tate modern. Double bed a bit small and no light or table on right side. Otherwise spacious comfortable and marks foodhall next door handy for breakfast.

This hotel is in a wonderful location perhaps 100 meters from the front porch of St. Paul's Cathedral. The rooms are small but very pleasant with good beds. A great deal for the price that I paid

Great hideaway hotel, basic but good service. Sometimes the area can be quiet at the weekend but this is a bonus, not a problem. Close to St. Paul's tube, St. Paul's cathedral, and near Tate Modern.

I spent the weekend of my 60th birthday at this hotel with my family and was delighted with the facilities, the service and the quality of the accommodation. The location is superb - the sound of the bells of St Paul's Cathedral as you walk out of the hotel on Sunday morning is magnificent.

Had two greatr stays here for two weekends in a superior double room. Easy and quick check in and out with a computerised system. Rooms were exteremely clean, (large by London standards) and comfortable - great size, really comfortable bed, TV, kitchenette with microwave, fridge and stove top, adequate closet space and a sizeable shower/tub. Free water on each floor and complimentary wireless internet. There is also free access to computers in the lounge which is well furnished and has free coffee and tea during the week. Staff was very helpful and courteous. The area shuts down though on weekends and so is quite deserted but the St. Paul's tube station is abuot 4 minutes walk and there are CCTV cameras all along hte route so it is safe. Would definitely be staying here when next in London!

Great Location good value for money, liked the idea of having fresh water on each floor that can be bottle (bottles provided) and taken on ant sight seeing that you might have planned. Not far from the embankment and a nice walk down to westminster. Very clean and room we had was quite.

This hotel has an excellent location near St Pauls and was priced very reasonably. The bedroom was spacious, by London standards, and had some nice facilities like a kettle, tea and coffee. The bathroom was rather Spartan. The optional breakfast was good value-for-money.

I stayed at the hotel for a weekend trip. It was my first time visiting London and the experience with the hotel was great. The location is amazing!! You literally walk out and St. Pauls is right there. The room was comfortable and clean. I will def stay there again. All the tourist hop on/off busses stop right infront of the hotel.

One of the nicest places I've ever stayed on either side of the Atlantic. Hotel is mere steps from St. Paul's Cathedral and so is in a central location in The City, London's financial district. Tourist sites/landmarks within easy walking distance abound, including the aforementioned St. Paul's, the Millenium Bridge (pedestrian bridge crossing the River Thames), Tate Modern, the Monument (to the catastrophic Great Fire of London in 1666), the thriving South Bank of the Thames, and the Tower of London. Several Tube stops nearby and bus stops outside the hotel. Staffed 24 hours by helpful, professional, friendly managers and associates, but many features are do-it-yourself, including an automated checkout, free Internet for hotel guests, free bottled water available on each floor. Room was sun-drenched and actually had a view, a rarity in London unless you're paying top dollar. Elegant but comfortable room and well-appointed, with such thoughtful, contemporary features as an iPod dock. Excellent experience at this hotel - would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The hotel does not have a massive entrance and you might easily walk past it. Situated in Ludgate Hill, it is around 200m from St Paul's Cathedral and Tube Station on the Central Line. We found the desk staff very polite, efficient and helpful. The room (we opted for a Queen size bed) was comfortable and clean. However we could not open the window and had to rely on the (very effective) air-con. If you want a flashy hotel with all the bright lights and trimmings, this is not for you, but we will definitely stay there again when we are next in London. The price is good too

Excellent quality hotel with spacious room, new finishings and an excellent breakfast.

This is not only a great hotel but it is in great location for seeing the sites of London. My only concern was that the staff wasn't very helpful when we tried to extend our stay for an additional 2 nights.

excellent value, good staff and great location, near enough to walk to covent garden and opposite st pauls

We had two adjoining rooms. The rooms were modern with free internet ( a rarety these days). The rooms were fairly large given the locale with a decent en-suite bathroom and a walk in closet for our clothes and suitcases. Our goal was to visit St. Paul's and to go on a night walking tour. The hotel was great value for money and about 150 yards away from St. Paul's Cathedral. Would recommend it to anyone. We're going to stay in the same chain when we go to San Francisco in the spring of 2009.

I got an great service from the front desk. This is my first trip to London and I got all the tip and help that I need from the front desk. The room is very comfortable. The internet access is very fast and strong. I will recommend this hotel for all other if you would like to visit London. The daily rate is very reasonable especially for weekend.

Given the rate that I paid through Hotels.com, this was a terrific hotel. The room was relatively large (by London standards), modern, and comfortable. The hotel is right at the main entrance to St Pauls and is an easy walk both to the City and the various attractions along the Strand. Trafalgar, Westminster, and points west are more of a hike, but the tube is only about a block away. The only downside for a weekend trip is that the neighborhood is much like the financial district in NY, and many of the restaurants etc. either close early or do not open at all on the weekend. In general though, a terrific hotel for the money.

Friendly and helpful staff. Loved the water cooler and bottles provided on each floor. Loved the access to additional amenities on each floor. Loved the location. Loved the quietness of the room from street noise. A little noisy from adjoining rooms.

The location is very hard to beat considering the price. If you decided to see London you would find anything you need in this hotel: quiet neighborhood, good English breakfast, computer access, and overall service. We have a very pleasant stay.

Simple but well designed

Perfect for a short stay. Only stayed 1 night but was really impressed. The rooms were a really good size for two people, comfortable and clean and the staff were really helpful. The hotel is in a quiet area of london so their was little traffic noise yet we were still really central. Overall for the money this hotel is great value and i really recommend it for anyone that wants somewhere clean and comfortable to rest their eyes.

One of the things the hotel listed as an amenity was coffee available in the lobby. However, we discovered that this was not the case on weekends, which was when we stayed. We had planned on our morning coffee, and were disappointed that it was not available. The staff told us that they had to clean the coffee maker on weekends--a lame excuse! Other than that, the hotel was nice, and the computers available were very handy.

Very clean and tidy, staff were very polite and helpful. The rooms are very elegant - and a good price. I did like the empty bottle rack with the water dispenser, so you can take a nice bottle of chilled water on your trip - its the little things like that that impress me.

We enjoyed our stay, even though we had a couple of small maintenance issues, a slow refilling of the toilet which made it impossible to flush in rapid succession (1 or so min. apart) and a dead hot water cattle. The location is excellent for business good for tourism purposes. The directions posted on the hotel website are excellent and accurate. Sunday night is too dead around the neighborhood, but Monday we were able to enjoy excellent breakfast nearby in an outdoor cafe by St. Paul's church and stroll to the millenium bridge and enjoy the Globe theater and get to the London bridge etc. Our room was ready for us upon arrival, front desk personal was ready to help with electronic check-in, cold water was available by the lift with empty bottles. The bathroom was small but very functional. The room had modern decor, functioning AC (which we needed) and excellent working facilities (desk with a good lamp, computer connection w/hi speed 3 chairs. No flexibility with late check out (not available unless you'd like to pay extra). Checkout was a breeze, just like check-in, all computerized. WE might be an issue, but there is an available small market next door. help w/ convenient small item purchases is offered as well as a menu from 2 restaurants (had no opportunity to use but prices were reasonable for London).

I have stayed in London several times and the hotels are usually way overpriced, run down, dirty, have poor location, or are all of the above. The service was excellent, is a stone's throw from St Paul's, and was pretty reasonably priced for a Saturday night. The room was actually a decent size, was clean, modern, and the bathroom had a full size bath/shower combo... not the usual tiny shower stall. The only downside was that the St Paul's Tube Station was closed during my stay, so I had a walk a decent amount to get to the nearest stop. You may want to inquire about that before booking at this hotel, but isn't a major issue.

This hotel was very well placed for sightseeing. Great restaurants and bars just across the river. A very clean and friendly hotel. Definitely recommended.

This is a good hotel and I would go back however the area is not residential therefore most bars and restuarants on this street were closed at the weekend. On saying that we enjoyed the area because it was quite and non-threatening. Hotel is in the shadow of St Pauls which is very impressive and within walking distance of Covent Garden (20mins) and across the millenium bridge to Tate Modern and Globe Theatre. Hotel provides free water bottles and chilled water which was a brilliant idea.

In past experience, an affordable hotel in central London meant a cramped, time-worn room. The Club Quarters is exceptional - comfortable, modern, and convenient with an exceptionally professional staff.

Great location if you only standing on the weekend. but Weekday is excellent..very busy. Weekend is like dead...most of the shop is close. evening Starbuck coffee shop.
