Hotellet ligger svært sentralt både for shopping og for å få sett Chicago. Personalet der var superhyggelige, og rommene var helt nyoppusset. Vi hadde rom med parkering, og dette fungerte svært bra. Vi slet med å finne hotellet ut fra GPS, og når vi sjekket inn fikk vi høre at dette var et problem for mange av hotellets gjester (TIPS: Når GPS sier at du har kommet til oppgitt adresse, men du ikke ser hotellet, kjør da rett frem gjennom første lyskryss, så vil du se hotellet et lite stykke etter lyskrysset). Vi anbefaler gjerne dette hotellet for andre!

Flott hotell i Chicago, rett ved Magnificent Mile. Servicen var bra, og hotellet har fin beliggenhet. Kort vei å gå fra Clark/Lake station (blue line), som man kan ta fra O'hare flyplass. Midt i sentrum, kort vei til de fleste beliggenheter, mange busstopper og metrostasjoner rundt for den som ikke kan gå. Anbefales på det varmeste, men er ikke akkurat spesielt billig for den som er på et stramt budsjett.

Prisgunstig hotell i forhold til størrelse på rommene og beliggenhet. Alt som er viktig i byen ligger innenfor 15 minutters gange. Grei frokost inkludert i prisen, men den burde vart til 10.00 og ikke 09.30 på hverdager. Lage køer før maten ble fjernet. Vennlig og hjelpsom betjening, men noe mangelfullt renhold. Godt isolert og lite støy fra gatene og mellom rommene. Manglet safe på rommet til oppbevaring av verdisaker.

"far from downtown chicago."
I searched the hotel as hotels in chicago, and because it was cheap, i booked it, when i went to the hotel, it was not even in chicago at all, it was in hazel crest. It was about 40 miles far from chicago. that was really misleading and frustruating.
"Best Location but Very Poor Management and Service"
Hotel was easy to find and looked great from outside but lobby was unclean including floor surfaces, garbage bins, hallways and elevator. The room view was nice but smelled bad and I had to turn on ventilation for two hours to breath normally. Room had badly re-polished furniture and was missing furniture, however upon request they provided missing […] chairs. The reception desk asked an imprint of my credit card that was first time any hotel booked through hotels.com asked for credit card imprint. No hair dryer or iron in the room just iron stand, called reception and they wanted me to come down and deposit $5 for it. I just came out of the washroom and asked them to send some in the room and i will give them deposit but that was not an option. Morning breakfast was closed at 9am as most close at 10am. I was there at 8:50 and everything was picked up. I asked for a tea bag and i was refused that they don't have it. At this point I had enough and talked to manager and 3 people started looking for a tea bag.... finally I got one hiding under their reception desk. I would not recommend it for family like me...very unsafe, mismanaged, poorly maintained and uncooperative staff. Les mer

"Maintenance/Location/Service"
I will not use this hotel again in combination of the following; Location was too far removed from the area in chicago I wanted to go to. The shower water access was in operable the last night I was there. I advised them of this and their reply was to do the\ repair the next day. I was not offered an alternitive room etc. The first room I was given […] had fixture light and cleanliness problems. I had problems contacting them for directions my last night there. I was not offered a checkout reciept. I was offered a lobby computer for a googe maps search. I could not get a printout of the map so I had to handwrite my directions. I would appriciate a call back from Hotels. com for further clarification. I feel a partial refund/credit would be appropriate given the issues I had to suffer through. I only accepted this hotel per Budget issues I had to make the trip. Les mer

The desk clerk was trying to get more credit card information, instead of asking for IDs. Even though the room was paid for already by me! I did not understand why he needed expiration # & # on back of card. Hotels.com already did all that.

the internet is a joke. its slower than dial up. made my laptop computer crash. pages kept locking up.. and the public compter is down half the time, as well as your limited to only 15 min. one computer.

The first room they gave us was surrounded by screaming children and the bed sagged. So we moved to a room down the hall which smelled so bad of stale smoke that we bought air sanitizer and tested the (looks like blood on the bathroom floor) paint. 2nd day maid took all the towels and when requested from the front desk, never gave us any. I was very disappointed that the room we stayed in was not cleaned after the first night of our stay. The front desk said that the maid stopped by and was told we did not need any service. My 8 year old boy was the only other person in the room and the maid should of asked to speak with an adult! This must be a very popular hotel with the locals. The police "greated" me in the hallway with dogs sniffing for something!!! I have never experienced anything like it!!! The hotel is an inexpensive fairly clean hotel. They need to spruce up the hallways, they look very dark and drab. The room was clean and I felt comfortable. This is the worst hotel in history. They don’t even give you enough towels for the people in the room. Homeless people sleep in the lobby and eat the crappy free breakfast. Pay a little more and stay somewhere nicer. The pictures don’t show how bad this hotel is.

Amenties provided by Hotel were very good for the given price. However cleanliness of the room were not to the standard. If this is aspect is take care. Super 8 near Hastel street would great place to spend the vacation.

"Bring your own lamp"
I'm serious. They only have two night lights (reading lights) to light the entire room. That's it. It was impossible to see anything. Plus side: super cheap. Yeah it's not the cleanest and you might find a hammer on the floor and nails in your bed, but for the price I really shouldn't be complaining. "Cheap, clean enough for what we needed it for"
This hotel was cheap and only about 30 minutes from downtown Chicago, they had a tv with standard cable channels, microwave, refrigerator and wi-fi also. It was the cheapest I could find and I expected it to be really bad. When we got in the room, it was not all that bad, Check-in was quick and they had Breakfast from 6-9am. Just the usual, bagels, […] sweet stuff, some cereal and milk. Their juice dispenser had only apple juice even when it said orange juice on one of them...oh well. I rated it higher for the price mostly. When they tidy up the room, they didn't leave the little bottles of shampoo. Maybe because they saw that we had our own. But still... We only stayed 2 nights and mostly were out of the room since we went to see Chicago museums, Skydeck, etc. Overall we had fun. If you are on a tight budget this is for you! Les mer

"Super 8- Super Lousy"
We walk in after getting slightly lost, no real driveway to this place but there are signs around it telling what your fine will be should you have guns or drugs in your car! The room smells a bit odd, but we ignore it so that we can settle in for the night. But when we go to unload the cooler into the mini fridge? We can't- Because there's already […] an open moldy can and RANCID BEEF taking up all the room. It takes over 30 minutes to get anyone into the room to clean it up, and then the guy cleaning it gets frustrated when we want him to not only dispose of the disgusting food, but also wipe out the fridge. When, later that night, we request extra towels and an extra blanket (There were three of us and towels for one), we're told that the overnight manager can't do it as someone took home the key to the linen closet- So he gets us towels out of another room! Disgusting! If that other room was as clean as ours...? Safe to say no one showered there. We were missing a great many things in the room, coffee, ashtray, ect, but my friend's bed didn't even have a fitted sheet on it! Of course, her headboard didn't FALL OFF in the middle of the night and land on her head, either. Only reason I gave it one star? You can't give it any less! Les mer

This was the most disgusting hotel room I have ever stayed in. Super 8 should be ashamed to have attached there name to this establishment. DO NOT STAY HERE EVER!
"Super 8 in East Hazel IL : TERRIBLE"
Our band was on tour to Chicago, so we booked three rooms at the Super 8, not expecting much. (Indie bands are used to sleeping in random places.) However, the hallways were stained and smelled like an old high school locker room; there was what seemed like blood on the coverlet and wall in one room; there was a pizza and razor left in another room; […] and the entire floor was sticky in the third room. "The Super 8 Motel in Hazel Crest."
This motel is not close to any amenities,such as restaurants,bars,shops etc.Neither is it close to a rail station or on a bus route.They do have a 24 hour shuttle bus which does not start running till 11:00am.I definitely wont be going back,nor will i be recommending it to any of my friends.

Entry to the hotel is a bit tricky but accessible and there is just one entrance. Hotel location is just 30 miles from Chicago downtown. Staff is good and friendly, rooms are okay, but restrooms are not clean and shabby. There is a complementary breakfast available, which is okay. Thuds and prostitutes be roaming around the lobby of this motel. The furnitures and appliances are very old and bearly work.

This was the worst hotel i have ever seen. Everything was dirty from the parking lot to the lobby and then to the room. The room was disgusting and we were scared to sit on any of the furniture. We found burns on surfaces of furniture from drug use. Blood splatter on the walls. We left this hotel with in a few minutes of our arrival and that was to […] long for us. i can't believe the state hasn't shut this place down and and I'm extremely disappoint in HOTEL.COM for have this hotel as an option. "A little scary!"
The rooms were not very clean. The air conditioner sounded like a jet plane. The towels were almost clean, when they were there at all. While nearby areas appear to be gentrifying, the immediate environment of the hotel leaves much to be desired.

Because Hammond, Indiana's Horseshoe casino had a concert with Patti LaBelle, every nearby hotel was taken and I was given this one as an option. I should have taken the feedback on this hotel seriously... EVERYTHING people said was actually the real result of my stay: Entry had a lady with her hair standing all over her head, undone. Bicycle laying […] on the walkway. The lobby had guest that made the area look like a low income housing community. Desk attendant did not want to get off of his personal phone call (on his cell). The entire place looks dingy! After checking into our room, the I asked for a additional pillow and they really didn't want to give it to me! Towels? Bare minimum. People must steal them because that was an issue when I requested more! There were 4 long prongs sticking out of one side of the framing to our bed! The only good thing I can say is the hotel was close to local eaterys. The rooms where somewhat clean, but mold was noted in corners going up the walls. The continental breakfast was adequate. The bathroms were poorly stocked with linens.

Not very clean, stains on pillows, dirty socks behind night stand. People just hanging out in the lobby. It was cheap and close to where we needed to go, but definitely was in need of some cleaning and updating. Probably wouldn't stay there again.

This hotel stay was not good at all! If you are going to stay here, you almost have to do a U-turn to get to the location. I missed the entrance twice because we got there late into the night. There were no signs to say that there was an entrance. It isn't in a good neighborhood. There was no remote control, there was a sticky place on the carpet, no […] iron and the toilet was leaking when we were leaving. The hotel hallways smelled of smoke. I wouldn't stay here again ever. This Super 8 is conveniently located off interstate, close to metra, and near large chain stores like Kmart and Menards. As for hotel, the room I stayed in did not have a functioning television. Television was missing power button and remote. Floors were sticky (bathroom tiles were paricularly sticky). Luke warm coffee was available at continental breakfast. […] It was a good price, bed was fine but pillow was very uncomfortable, window a.c./heat/fan unit worked fine, shower, sink, and toilet appeared clean. They do not clean their rooms and give you clean towels and wash cloths. You had to put the microwave on the floor to use it. If you have kids, do not go to this hotel, not a kid friendly environment. We went to another hotel.
