Everything about the hotel was great: the rooms, the staff, the convenient location right off the interstate, and the neighborhood was nice and quiet and located to good restaurants. I would definitely recommend it to others and plan to stay there again.

The hotel was very nice, clean... awesome morning breakfast and the rooms were big. My only gripe was we were on the 3rd floor and I believe there are some areas/rooms that allow smoking, so the entire 3rd floor had that stale smell to it. Once your inside your room you cannot smell it any more (thank God). But overall, the hotel staff was extremely […] friendly and accommodating. I was only here for one night on business, but I was really impressed. It was really nice and comfortable, super clean, the room was big, and the staff was so nice and inviting. Even offered me a cookie when I checked in.

Based on the reviews, I thought I would be entering a place for quiet respite and a much needed rest. Little did I know what I was in for. Unruly guests were carousing to all hours. Standard hotel. Nothing too exciting, but more importantly nothing too scary. I have stayed in most of the hotels in or around Elgin, IL and this one is one of the better hotels in this price point. I would recommend this hotel to a friend.

Fine hotel for the one-night stay on my business trip. The carpet in room was a little dirty (probably just from normal wear and tear) and decor maybe a little outdated, but no real issues. Decent amenities with mini-fridge and microwave in room and the free breakfast. Staff was friendly.

Love the place! Stayed in much more pricey motels in the last week, not as thoughtful as this Country Inn.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but the air conditioner unit was very close to one of the beds and blew directly on whoever was lying on that side. Also, we found a leftover undergarment from a previous guest behind the curtains.

Great Stay !Clean, comfortable, quiet. Stayed 6 nights while in town for the Ryder Cup and very satisfied. Will choose Country Inn and Suites again

Booked the room based on the recommendation of a relative we were visiting.Outward appearances were all fine. The carpetting in the room, however, was way overdue for cleaning or replacement and the wallpaper in the bathroom was hanging off the wall. When we arrived, we found out they don't allow rollaways for our room because of fire hazard, but the front desk was able to fine a last minute suite that had a pullout couch. Aside from the duvet and cover everything was effortless and clean. I am just paranoid about comforters and so we slept with sheets not knowing how often they wash the top part.

A very comfortable room. The front desk staff were allways there. Great restaurant sharing same parking lot. Huge menu with specials.

The hotel was fine. The only disappointment is that the pool closes at 10 pm even on the weekends. They were nice enough to keep the pool open til 10:30 pm. :) The day of check out housekeeping was there already at 9:30 am and check out wasn't until noon.

One minor disappointment was the fact that the pool was out of order. Otherwise, all was great. The staff person at the desk on Friday and Saturday evenings was fantastic.

Location was convenient for a volleyball tournament we were attending. There was plenty of shopping and there were plenty of restaurants in the area. Staff was more than attentive and the rooms were wonderful. The bedding was as good as any luxury hotel I've been in.

I was there for a business trip. The staff was extremely helpful in finding all of the places I needed to go. They printed out directions and always asked how I was each time I re entered the hotel. very friendly staff. breakfast nice, liked the variety on the weekends. What a great place. Staff was wonderful. Front desk person went over backward to get my room ready when I was wayyyy early for check in. Housekeeping was immaculate. Free Breakfast was wonderull, fresh, and A+. Pool is nice. Small, but very nice. My kids had a blast. Went to Chicago on the train, and the front desk people knew how to direct me to do […] this. Country Inn & Suites in Elgin , IL is a great value. They've put great new flat screen televisions in all of the rooms and they've upgraded the quality of the sheets, to that of a much more expensive hotel. Staff was very nice too.

Felt like a home with a welcoming staircase in the reception. Rooms were comfortable and clean and the pool was great. Ok breakfast but had wished we'd gone out. All in all, a good stay.

We were very pleased with our stay. Our room was ready early which worked out for us because we would be arriving late. The room was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
