Jeg har overnattet på mange hoteller i Bangkok, men dette er noe av det beste.Her er det ikke spart på noe. Hotelelt ligger sentralt,vennlig personale,super bra frokost, internett og har alt hva du trenger. Svært hjelpsom resepsjondisk. Kan trykt anbefale dette hotellet.

I've tried to think of something negative about this hotel, but can't. Except maybe that the service was so good that it was almost too much - I still keep expecting people too open the door for me when entering/exiting buildings.... ;-) Would recommend this to anyone going to Bangkok.

lovely hotel. breakfast is so-so for high end in bangkok and not worth the money. friendly, attentive service and staff. very nice fitness center and pool. location not in the thick of things, whether thats good or bad depends on you. easy walk to the sky train and centrally located in city.

I have stayed in Bangkok many times and this hotel is excellent. Large with multiple dining options, good gym/pool and SPA, it has everything required for business or leisure stay. i also thought the rate was quite reasonable for what is a 5 star hotel. Buffet breakfast is to die for.

A good, clean, family suitable hotel with great courteous staff, great facilities including Spa, Sauna, Gym. Well located close to sky train, good malls, food centers, shopping etc. Very flexible in terms of checking in and allowing extra time to check out. Highly recommended. I had previously lived in Bangkok, and used to visit the Plaza Athenee for lunch or sometimes for breakfast, and it seems to me that it has gone downmarket. It was quite depressing to see two rather scruffy Japanese men taking local girls to their room quite brazenly. I know that it is difficult to police, but at other hotels the girls would have been […] challenged for identity. The junior suite we booked was acceptable, but more junior than suite. The final experience was spoilt on departure by having to wait for 15 minutes for a taxi to go to the airport. The staff showed a lack of initiative since there were taxis passing and unoccupied on the opposite side of the road. When we asked one of the managerial staff they offered a car at eight times the price of a taxi. Les mer

Checking into hotel was quich,efficient and staff a delight. Room was clean, large and comfortable. Breakfast selection was excellent. General food in hotel was exceptional. Hotel was close to skytrain. 10 minutes fron MBK and Central world. Pricing was reasonable for what we got. Have now stayed at hotel three times. Excellent location. All you need for your comfort is available in the room. I never needed to call for anything. Staff is courteous and more than ready to help. ComplementAry mineral water bottles were kept in every corner of the room as well as washroom. The Plaza Athenee is a beautiful 5 star hotel. The rooms are spacious and extremely clean. The service at the hotel was excellent. The hotel is located very close to the SkyTrain which makes it very easy to get around Bangkok. (Taxis are cheap in Bangkok but the traffic is a nightmare.) All signs on the SkyTrain are in English and it is very simple […] to get around. Next to the hotel, there is a building with offices that also contains a Dean & DeLucca cafe which is great for breakfast. Additionally, in that building, there is a pharmacy, bagel place, magazine/book shop and most important, a 7-11 which is useful to get additional water (if needed), as you are always supplied with drinking water bottles in your room daily). Also from this building next to the hotel, take the electric stairs up to the SkyTrain station, to avoid climbing 2 long flights of stairs. Save your energy to hectic Bangkok. We enjoyed our 7 day stay at this hotel. There is a lot to do in Bangkok, besides the Palace area. Do not miss Jim Thompson's house which is close to the hotel - via the SkyTrain - only several stops away. Also, go to the Palace early in the morning to avoid the crowds. The Au Bon Pain cafe across from the Palace is a great place for a quick bite and coffee. Remember to wear long pants to the Palace - as shorts are not permitted. Hope this helps. Les mer

Plaza Athenee hotel is very well located, close to a sky train station, not far from the best shopping centers on Bangkok (Siam Paragon, for instance). The rooms are large, comfortable, and clean. the arrival was impressive , but then checking in with a arrogant ranch young guy at the counter thats where it all started . first of all my request was for my daughter to have a separate bed . which was not inclusive, another 1900 THB (70-75USD) on top for a little girl to sleep on , breakfast another 850 THB (22-23USD). which was not stated on the […] initial booking , when i find this out obviously the rest was also down hill . if i did not book in advance and was able to cancel the hotel i would have done so immediately , hotel service was very poor and hungry for taking your money but without any customer relation , i sincerely would NOT recommend this to anyone , i travel around asia for 9 years on monthly basis on business related venues and am sincerely am VERY VERY disappointed on this hotel in general and GREED factor , my 11year old daughter eat for breakfast a small cereal and 23 usd for a breakfast cereal is absolutely insane.. i never ever come here again .. Stayed for 6 nights Dec 2012. Location is very close (2 minutes walk) to BTS so very easy to get around...this is essential as there`s nothing much within immediate vicinity of hotel. Walkable though (15 minutes) to lively Nana area where`s there`s lots of restaurants, bars, massage, street food etc... We had a Junior Suite on 10th floor. Nice size […] and good city views from windows. Quiet too with no real noise from other rooms or from outside. Decor/fittings perhaps a little dated looking, but not a problem for me and everything was in good condition. Internet access was free for us and worked OK. Shower was fantastic and kingsize bed was very comfortable Breakfast very good. Huge choice of hot and cold food... Pool and area around it was great. Not busy either but it was mostly overcast during our stay so perhaps that kept some people away ? Gym looked nice (and also quiet too), although we didn`t use it. Previously stayed in Bangkok at lesser hotels, bu this time was bringing along my boss, so decided to upgrade. The Plaza Athenee did not disappoint. Best feature is the Royal Club Lounge - be sure to upgrade for this. Excellent lounge - very attentive staff, large comfortable space, and hardly anyone else taking advantage of this. Almost like it was […] private. Ate in the Rain Tree Cafe about 3 times, all were good. Ate in the Japanese restaraunt upstairs, that was a little disappointing. Room was nice, not spectacular. Only the bathroom gave away that this hotel is not new, but a remodel. Fixtures are new, but tub, floor, etc, showing some wear. Overall, an excellent place, even at the premium (for Bangkok) price. Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location, a 2 minute walk from phloen chit skytrain station. Staff were beyond helpful and even gave me a free cake for my birthday! Best hotel breakfast I have ever had the privilege to eat. I would love love to go back to this hotel!!

Hotel Entrance is amazing, staff wonderful, but after a long flight the bathroom was a disappointment. Towels were old and thin, not the thick luxurious ones we had come to expect from a Meridien property.Corner suite had great views but the room in general needs re-modelled.

Beautiful hotel with breathtaking views of the city. I recommend the junior suite. The breakfast buffet was very good and the waitstaff were excellent. I'm coming back to this hotel on my next trip to Bangkok.

This hotel was fantastic. Very close to transit system, 15 mins walk to Central shopping mall. Many bars and places to eat within 5 min walk. A local 24 hour shop 2 mins away. The fitness centre was very good and pool area fantastic. The staff were all very friendly and competent. The Thai restaurant was very good and good value. Very much enjoyed the Plaza Athenee in Bangkok. It's a beautiful property and very convenient, with a BTS station about one block away. Hotel staff were fabulous, especially Thomas, the catering/restaurant manager, with whom we spoke in French. Merveilleux!

Duvet and pillow were so comfy! Quiet in the hotel room and good location. Friendly staff and nice breakfasts. Free wi-fi in hotel - very handy. Lots of quiet sitting areas on 2nd floor suitable for informal meetings or reading space.

The hotel was very comfortable, however we had a room that adjoined another via a locked door so we could hear voices fairly clearly and could see light under the door. However, the service was very good and the hotel immaculately kept.

Easy access to the train system - can take you to many major shopping areas plus major attractions. Eatery at the hotel too pricy, You can find good food in the local areas. Front desk not very helpful in asssisting with tours, you have to ask for a map or else none is provided for you

Plaza Athenee is very convenient for the central business district around Wireless Road and Siam Square. The hotel is modern and very luxurious, and the buffet breakfast was superb, with a huge selection. This is a wonderful hotel. The staff are fantastic and cannot do enough for you, being very attentive without being overpowering. The facilities are superb, we had a great time relaxing by the beautifully landscaped pool and garden area. Had the best massage I have ever had in the spa. Absolutely fantastic value for money!
