We like being so close to Michigan Ave. The room was a bit small. We have stayed there several times over the last 12 years and have good memories.

great stay so much fun for a girls weekend

The hotel is centrally located with clean rooms at a great rate. The staff were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was convenient, clean and well stocked.

Nice stay. Clean. Comfortable. Perfect location

We had an awesome time sightseeing and shopping. Everyone was so friendly. The food was outstanding.

Everything was great with this hotel! Only thing that could have been slightly better would have been more hot offerings for breakfast. They did have waffles, bagel and oatmeal, but Marriott usually has eggs and bacon offered as well. Not here though. Was a little disappointed about that. The location was fantastic. The room coould have been larger.

The location was great and the breakfast was more than continental. The staff refilled food right up to the scheduled end. All the hotel staff were very helpful.

This hotel was a refreshing stay. It was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast had many choices and it was continually refilled and kept cleaned.The location was convenient being 2 blocks off of MIchigan Ave. We were able to accomplish everything we wanted to do. It was a pleasant weekend!! Relaxing!!

Pros- very clean, polite staff, safe and continental breakfast had a lot of choices. Cons- a little small. I should have sprung for a larger room. Overall- good hotel, great value and very close to shopping and restaurants. Not enough room for kids but for adults it is a perfect Inexpensive place to stay.

This hotel has it all. I was leery of staying near N. Michigan for fear of paying a lot of money but this offers a lot of bang for your buck. The staff were all super friendly and helpful; the free breakfast was great with a nice selection - some thing for everyone; the parking is less than a block away and it is what it is in Chicago ($32/day with […] the hotel discount) but the money I saved on the hotel was well worth it. Gorgeous hotel! Very clean and extremely friendly workers. They were very accommodating and the price for one night was very reasonable! The location was perfect. It was around the block from the Magnificent Mile. I'd definitely book there again!

I really like the location a lot and the room was nice. The breakfast buffet was okay but there could have been some healthier selections. The only thing I hated was the 3:00pm check-in and 12:00 check-out. We have a baby and her nap time is 1:00 pm and we arrived at the hotel just as she feel asleep and we had to hold her in our arms until the room […] was ready. That was not convenient at all. I don't hand out many "5's" as we all have room for improvement. The room was clean, the staff was helpful and courteous and the location for what I wanted to do was great. I will diffinitely stay here again.

One of our booked rooms was not ready when we arrived at 3, and I had to call 40 minutes later to remind them we were still waiting . . . The beds were not comfortable, and the one chair was clearly not designed to be comfortable to sit in. I lived in Chicago for 10 years and return frequently for business and fun. I generally select hotels based on good deals and location -- this was off the charts on both. Low rate included free in-room wifi and a very nice full breakfast; staff were very friendly and helpful; room, though not large, was updated, fun, in good shape and clean (I was in […] it most of the time doing writing, actually -- worked for me). It's a mere 2 blocks from the Mag Mile/Michigan Ave., which is just a fabulous area for exploring. If you're a luxury traveler perhaps this won't feel "lush" enough for you. Went for a weekend escape. Have a wonderful time. Hotel is an amazing location 2 blocks away from Michigan Ave. Hotel was very clean and newly decorated. Can't wait to come back for another stay at the Fairfield Inn

Loved the location, we asked for some extra towels, the service was prompt. Cant put a pin on it, but there is something missing in place and staff- could use some brightening up- this may have something to do with the chilly winter in chicago. We have stayed at this hotel before and it is an excellent place to stay, the price is great for the area you are walking distance to Michigan Ave. and a number of surrounding restaurants. This was very covenant to Northwestern Medical that too is walking distance. I would stay here again

The Fairfield Inn in Chicago-Magnificent Mile the location was great, the staff was exceptional and the breakfast was simple yet delicious! The price was very reasonable and I will stay there every time I am in town, you are within walking distance to everything!!!! You won't be disappointed. S. WILEY

Great accommodations, and was centrally located, and able to walk to all local attractions, and when we first checked in, the front counter rep, was friendly, warm and inviting, and accommodating with tips to see the city. Would def stay at this location again ~ "Great job everyone!" TY! ;)

The location was perfect, rooms were little too small. Parking was expensive.

Selected hotel for it's price, but would return in a heart beat because of the wonderful staff and service!!! Front desk was so friendly and welcoming! Came home from dinner with leftovers and Charles asked if we would like a refrigerator and had one delivered within minutes!! We WILL return:)

Very good location other than being close to the hospital. Room small but breakfast, which included hot items, was good. Many resturants of all types within walking distance. Navy Pier just down the street and across a park.

We have stayed at this hotel many years now when we come to Chicago for an event at Navy Pier. It is within fairly easy walking distance. In addition, it is only a block and a half from the center of Michigan Ave. I have no idea how many restaurants are within a mile radius. It is easy to get to, we come from Wisconsin so it's down the Kennedy Expressway […] to Ohio, go two blocks past Michigan avenue, take two left turns and you are on Ontario and a half block from the hotel. If you don't want to drive any more, the hotel offers valet parking, which we did not use. We have always found the hotel to be clean and well maintained. The rooms are small, but we are only there to sleep and spend little time in the room. They have nice sized HD TV's. The bathrooms are small, but the toilets flush and the shower provides plenty of hot water without waiting. We have never had a noise problem from people in the next room. Even on the top floor this year, the street noise is still obvious, but we are not used to it so it's probably not as bad for some. The breakfast is more than adequate with make for yourself Belgian waffles, cereals, breakfast sandwiches, hard boiled eggs, coffee, juice etc. As far as I am concerned this hotel offers a great value for downtown Chicago. You can certainly find hotels with larger rooms, but you will pay for them. If you want a good place to sleep with a nice breakfast, great location and a good price, this is the place. The room was small, but that was to be expected due to the location being right downtown. I loved the retro decor. Plenty of restaurants close. Michigan Avenue is only blocks away. Didn't take one single cab the whole time we were in town. Loved it! We could see the lake from our window, that was really great too.

Easy to get to most places in downtown Chi - but the neighborhood is very busy with traffic - to be expected for the location. Fairfield Inn in downtown Chicago has excellent location, staff was helpful and friendly, room was small but clean and with bright, contemporary decor. Would stay there again if rates were right.

The room was clean, bright and very comfortable. The linens were fresh and looked new. The soap and shampoo were refreshed as needed. We asked for more coffee and it was in our room in 15 minutes. The breakfast room was clean and neat and very sufficient. Overall nice stay

Last weekend my husband and I had a very nice stay at the Fairfield Inn. The front desk staff was pleasant and efficient. When we asked her for directions to a pizza restaurant that our taxi driver recommended she almost immediately pulled them out of her printer. That's service! The bed was comfortable and had lots of fluffy pillows. We would probably have had a great night sleep, except that women next door were talking and laughing loudly at 3 a.m. Our rooms were separated by a locked connecting door, which apparently wasn't sound-proof. We mentioned the disturbance to the front desk staff, who promised they would take care of the problem. The following night was much quieter. Breakfast went beyond the standard danish, juice, and coffee. It included yogurt, hard boiled eggs, and you can make your own waffle. The location of the Fairfield Inn is ideal: one block away from the Magnificent Mile. That's close to great shopping and restaurants, but on a quieter street. It's a scenic walk to Millennium Park and the Chicago Institute of Art. Just beyond it is the Museum Campus with the Shedd Aquarium and the Field Museum. And if you don't care to walk that far, there are a number of busses that travel on the Magnificent Mile. Les mer

Great location, very good price, friendly staff and modern and new furnishing and decor. Complimentary breakfast is very complete and the coffe bold and tasty, even in the rooms.

We live in a town of 2,700 in west central Indiana and traveled to Chicago to visit Northwestern Univ. Getting around a big city can be daunting, but the staff and Fairfield Inn treated us like old friends. If my son is accepting, we'll be staying there again and again.

Excellent location. Very clean and modern. The rate was fair for the day. I wish the hotel had a Restaurant or at least a Cafe. There is nothing to buy as far as food is concern in the hotel. Even though there are restaurants near by, when you are tired you just don't want to go anywhere.
