Enkelt og bra hotell i Europeisk stil (les: litt shabby), meget sentralt. Hyggelig betjening, rent og ikke spesielt lytt. Veldig bra valuta for pengene. Anbefales!

Hotellet ligger meget sentralt til med kort vei til det meste. Komfortabelt, rent og god service. Gratis vinsmaking og nakkemassasje ved siden av resepsjonen fra 17-18 (meget praktisk etter en hektisk dag med sightseeing og shopping). :-)

Et fint og rent hotell med hyggelige ansatte. Ingenting negativt å si om hotellet, men nabolaget har en del uteliggere i noen kvartaler ned mot sentrum. Opplevde derimot ikke noe ubehagelig. Det er også svært kort vei ned til sentrumsområdet og Market street, og taxi er veldig billig slik at man slipper å gå på kveldstid. Fint hotell i forhold til hvor billig det var!

Hotellet ligger svært sentralt både for shopping og opplevelser i San Francisco. Vi trivdes svært godt der, og vil sannsynligvis vurdere hotellet neste gang vi skal til San Francisco. Hotellet er litt slitt, men rent og hyggelig. Personellet er ikke overhjelpsomme, men tar man kontakt og spør om hjelp så hjelper de deg!

"Slightly tarnished but still excellent experience"
We rented one of the pet friendly condo type rooms near the tennis court because we brought a dog. The room was a bit smaller than expected but very clean, although the marble floor was permanently stained in the bathroom and there were some issues with the painting work on the outside porch and door. But the service was outstanding, the atmosphere […] gorgeous. Beware the $15 Mimosas and $16 Bloody Marys at the breakfas buffet! Really? Must be expecting an influx of Facebookers.... Les mer

"Worth the price"
Well, it's not cheap, but if you're looking for a luxury stay just outside of San Francisco, I can't imagine anything much better. With a location that makes you feel like you're in a Victorian novel, it's an amazing experience here. Staff were helpful, beds were comfy, and the bathroom was luxurious. We paid extra for the room with its own firepit, […] and I think it was worth it. Half moon bay is a lovely town with lots of amenities, and plenty of places to eat if you don't want to stay at the hotel for your meals. Les mer

My wife and I came here for our wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. From the staff, to the room, to the scenery, everything was amazing. The hotel is very pricey, but worth it for special occasions.

"Ritz Carlton at Half Moon Bay is the Place to stay"
One word could sum this place up, FANTASTIC The only issue I really had was the price to vallet park. It was a lot just to park a car. Other then that, I cannot speak more highly of a place. ALL, and I mean ALL of the employees were fantastic. The vallets, the bellmen, the front desk woman, the servers, the bartenders and the maids were just all fantastic. Oh, […] but the guy that played the bagpipes at sunset, well he was not very good. I am hoping that the actual guy was on vacation and this was just his stand-in. The server we had for dinner was named Ferris, this kid was fantasic, one of the best servers I have had. Very friendly, very outgoing and not afraid to hold a conversation. I highly recommend the rotisserie chicken. It is the best I have ever had. They de-bone the chicken breast. The only bone is in the wing portion. Ferris took the time to explain the type of hen that is used for this dish, it is a special hen. Just fantastic. The other person assisting at dinner was Forest (The only reason I remember their names is because of 2 different movies). He was great too, but we did not have much interaction with him. We loved our room. I was going to put the room number we stayed in because it was in a perfect location, but I want to make sure that I get it next time I stay there! I was shocked by the gouging by the hotel. For the cost, this hotel is way short of a Loews or Four Seasons. The pool is aged, off property and shared with a local HOA. Valet is priced ridiculously, as is the brunch. Rooms are the smallest in this price range.

Our stay was to celebrate the wedding of two very special friends, and I have to say the Ritz made the event even more special with the attention to detail in every aspect. From the moment we arrived the entire staff was so attentive, an upgraded room, taking care of every request we had, remembering our names and why we were there, the hotel staff […] definitely knows the meaning of service and never failed to deliver the entire time we were there. A truely wonderful experience. Yes, a stay at the Ritz is not cheap, but it was worth every penny and I would stay there again in a minute. "Ritz Carlton at Half Moon Bay, Perfect SF Getaway"
We have been going to the Ritz Carlton at Half Moon Bay since it first opened, and it gets better and better every time. Since we live in San Francisco, a one hour ride from home is just perfect to let us feel as if we have gone on vacation. The ride down the coast has majestic views of the surf and the sand, adventurous surfers if the waves are big […] enough, and curvy roads that gave Devil's Slide its name. They know your name at the entrance booth, and your car and baggage are swiftly dealt with by strapping young men who look as if they stepped off a Scottish golf course in the 1940's. Pumpkins, certain to be contest winners for their size, decorated the front of the port cochere, and they were busily getting the Winter holiday decorations all set to put up. We immediately felt as if everything would be taken care of for us from that moment on. We usually opt for a King sized room on the Club floor, but this time, we were able to get a one bedroom suite on the top floor for just a bit more money. No club room privileges, but that was fine with us. Instead, we were able to order room service directly from the fine restaurant. Wonderful food! The suite was beautiful, as was the bedroom. The Hotel Spa is amazing, and we can hardly wait to go back! Les mer

perfect in every way except for what must be a 100 year old matress....the bed was horrible, but the view and service and everything else was perfect....for the price they should spring for a matress

"Billed Me Times for the same Room"
Check you billing from this hotel. I bookd through hotels.com and end up being two times more on my credit card. It took me three calls ad help from Hotels.com to clear it up.

What a grand and beautiful hotel. My only complaint is that more rooms don't have a deck to access outside. I don't like to be in rooms that have no outside access. I din't ask but I saw only 4 rooms that actually had a deck and I'm sure come with an extra charge.

"My favorite in Northern California possibly US"
This is my wife's and also my favorite hotel in the US. The ironic thing is we live less than 1 1/2 hours from here in Napa. We have and continue to travel all over the world and we live in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Yet, the Ritz- HMB continues to enthrall us.

"gotta love the ritz"
this is one of the most beautiful ritz carltons out there. the location is simply breath-taking. we felt like we'd stepped back in time. absolutely exquisite.
"Beautiful setting"
Very romantic and beautiful environment, friendly supportive staff, and great wine bar. I stayed at one of the cottages which was a little dirty on the outside and the lock had problems, but the inside was very nice.
