Red Roof Inn Columbus - Grove City - Grove City

All in all this was a great stay at this hotel for the second time in 6 months. Our only issue this time was one of the desk clerks was not very friendly and courteous with our group. This brought down our satisfaction of this hotel a bit, especially since there were 41 of us there. We would stay there again.

Poor customer service, not friendly. Holes in walls in room. Room smelled of cheap perfume and stale cigarettes. Mattress not supportive, very uncomfortable to sleep. Sound traveled throughout units from side units to upper into lower. The price was good and location was fine.

The nicest thing that happened to me was a young man that was working in the laundry saw me struggling to get my suitcase down the stairway and came and took the suitcase to my car for me. I was not impressed with the continental "breakfast". They only offered rolls, danish and muffins as breakfast. Not substantial. There wasn't a bit of fruit. This was by no means a great hotel to stay in. Far from a Mariot or other expensive hotel. But for fifty something bucks a night it was just right. It was in a great location, right down the road from my family, and it was quiet, and relaxing. It did what a hotel is supposed to do. (Gave us a place to shower and sleep)

The pictures the website have to be when the hotel opened. There were stains on the bed sheets. No iron or ironing board. Very disappointed. The front desk person wasn't very friendly or welcoming, instead of how can I help you, it was more like you are bothering me. I won't stay at this hotel or any other Red Roof inn ever again.

Cheap is really the only good thing about this hotel. When we first arrived the hotel room was a mess. The bed sheets all over the floor and burnt out candles in the trash as if a porno was just shot in the room. The front desk issued us a new room which was quick and easy. There is everything at this exit in terms of food, gas, shopping and it's within about 10 minutes of TV. It's right off of I-71 so it's easy to get to and from the interstate. There's nothing wrong with the hotel, it's what you expect from a Red Roof Inn. Check in is after 3pm. I checked in at about 4:30. There were two beer cans in the room, an open used soap and a hand towel that looked used, but the bed was made and the rest of the room looked like it had been made up. I put the two beer cans outside the door, but had an appointment, so did not get to call the desk. When I got back much later, the […] cans were gone and other items replaced with fresh. We felt like we entered into a third world country, honestly. You do not want to stay at this hotel. Dirty. Poorly kept. Lumpy pillows. Very smelly room. Ugly. Old. We have never stayed in a worse room, ever.

It is hard to arugue with the very low rate of this hotel. The rooms are incredibly clean and the hotel is in a nice neighborhood filled with shopping and restaurants. My only complaints are that the rooms do not come with hair dryers and the mattresses are poor quality.

Recently stayed here while attending training. The carpet was gross, there was no iron or hair dryer, the bathroom ceiling had a hole in it, the lobby area smelled like death masked with chemicals. Stay at the La Quinta, it's MUCH better!

We had no major problems - just a place to sleep for a few hours before we hit the road again. What you'd expect for the price.

Over all nice room. I had 2 problems WIFI didn't work and front desk was no help. When connected to wifi there was no internet conection. Day two when I returned to my room the key card would not work.

At a mere 9 miles from the con center, it's away from the city traffic and much cheaper than staying on site.

Customer service was extremely poor, I asked for non-smoking room and I was giving a smoking room. It took them a day and a half just to get me a nonsmoking room which I finally declined. I left the very next day (early hours).

wanted extra pillows called front desk they said didn't know if they had any . i called back about a hour later she said she found some but i would have to come and get them if i wanted them.

Our room was very nice. Only one small maintenance issue, the vent to the bathroom tub kept falling down and it exposed all the tub plumbing in our room. Also we stayed two nights and I know for a fact that they didn't change the sheets and one of the beds wasn't even properly made (the blanket was all bundled up under the cover). I also had to ask […] twice for another towel even though on the reservation it said two adults and one child. Otherwise we had a pretty enjoyable stay. Les mer

Rented room 1 night stayed the next advisibg clerk so I didn;t have to move my stuff. Then come back that night and key didnt work. They rented the room. They issued new key and everything was fine. While there clerk answered phone and gave a high price so she didn't have to do her job. When she got off phone said I pulled that one out of the air. Laziness […] of clerk. Les mer

The staff was friendly and prompt however the bathroom had a rusty, defunct shower rod and bath bar. Multiple blankets had cigarette burns though in general the room was clean. Minimal amentities but if you want a cheap place convenient to the freeway, you could probably do worse.

The room was small and dingy, was suppose to have a Queen bed, absolutely no way this was a Queen size bed. Only had a few towels and one small ketchup packet size of shampoo for two people. The sink and the tub both did not drain. The price to this hotel was cheap and there was a reason for that. I would never staty at this hotel again, horrible experience, […] would rather pay $100 a night to be comfortable. Horrible experience! Les mer

I stayed there one night and asked for a non smoking room. i get there that night and i see burn holes in the blaket on the bed. ok strike one, then went to take a shower and the towels had burns holes in them as well. strike two. holes in the walls that were not properly fixed, bulbs burnt out in the room, ac/heat buttons were all broken. no exciting […] news here. never stay there again. Very poor accomodations. No iron, no ironing board, no refridgerator, no micro wave. Had to climb stairs outside to get to room. Room not very well kept. very disappointed.

Great location. Convenient to highways, shopping and restaurants. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Comfortable beds, nice room. All in all a great value for the price of the room. Would definately stay again and recommend to others traveling thru the area.

For the price, the quality of the hotel was good. The continental breakfast was very minimal - no fresh fruit at all, but a gas station right down the street had a large assortment of fresh fruit at great prices, so I found myself getting my morning fresh fruit at the gas station and grabbing a bagel and glass of juice at the Red Roof Inn. Only stayed for one night. The lobby smellt like a urinal, the room was incredibly small and really far from the nearest set of stairs. Usually, I wouldn't complain about the distance from the stairs, but it was a long walk to the front desk the next morning, in the rain, to get an iron and ironing board. First impression was great. Lobby staff was very helpful and upgraded my room to have a refridgerator at no extra cost. The room was clean however the staff was still working on it when we arrived. The only real minus for me was the skimping on towels.

HAD A GREAT STAY ROBERT AT THE FRONT DESK WENT OUT OF HIS WAY HELPING US WITH A LITTLE DOOR TROUBLE WE WERE HAVING HE FIXED WHAT HE COULD AND EVERYTHING WENT GREAT. THANKS ROBERT

The quality is less than the La Quinta next door for the same cost. The TV is smaller, no shower massage head. The breakfast at La Quinta has more options.

I wish I could say I was satisfied with my stay at the Red Roof Inn in Grove City, but my experience was definitely less than ideal. My husband and I only needed a room for one night, so after looking at the photos and star rating on this website I decided to save a little money and stay at the Red Roof Inn rather than the more expensive hotels nearby. […] We have stayed in Grove City before and like the convenience of the location. When we arrived at the hotel, we were quite disappointed. It was about 7:30 pm when we arrived, and the hotel staff was still cleaning the room. The cleaning staff was also walking around the parking lot with beers in hand. When we were finally able to get in, we found that there were cigarette burns in the sheets and comforter, several hairs in the sheets and towels, dirty furniture, and a large puddle of water on the floor in the kitchenette area. We stuck it out for the one night we were scheduled to stay because it was too late to cancel, but we will certainly not be visiting this hotel again. The online photos are quite deceiving and make this look like a nice, bright, up-to-date hotel. In reality, it is run-down and not particularly well-maintained. The convenience of Grove City is great, but I will spend the extra money for a nicer hotel in the future. Les mer

Easy to reach. Old and dumpy. No coffee maker in the room, no hair dryer. A/C was either too cold or too hot. Bed was hard as a rock. No hand towels provided, only two bath towels.
