The Comfort In & Suites in Florence SC was a clean, comfortable and welcoming stop on our way north from Florida in early April 2012. The hotel staff was very helpful in suggesting a restaurant close-by (Fatz) which, as it turned out, provided excellent food and a nice bottle of wine at a very reasonable price. For us, travelling in locations where […] we are unfamiliar with good local establishments we are grateful for suggestions to restaurants which are not the typical national chains. The front desk staff at Country Inn & Suites made an exceptional suggestion when they referred us to Fatz right across the street. The bed in our room was most comfortable and the breakfast served in the hotel lobby the next morning was more than sufficient to get us started on our second day of travel. The stay was very nice and I would stay there again.
Very nice hotel. We were traveling and last minute decided to stay somewhere overnight. We were pleasantly surpised at how nice the hotel was and the graciousness of the staff.

We spent there one night on our way back to Wash. DC. New hotel, very clean, nice big room, very nice and smiley receptionist, good breakfast. There was also a buffet we walked to next door a night before with good southern food; we will stay again next time we drive to Florida.

"Country Inn & Suites by Carlson in Florence"
The hotel was very comfortable and it was reasonably priced. Upon arrival, we found the room that was given to us not very suitable. The receptionist was very under standing and without any questions, accommodated us to a better room. Over all, the hotel is very clean, safe and close to the highway.

"Nice New Hotel Just off I-95"
We were in the midst of a long road trip back from Florida to New Jersey on New Year's Eve day, and this hotel was almost at the halfway point. We were very glad we stayed here. The price was very reasonable for two large rooms (one for us and one for our two teenage boys) each with a king bed and sofa bed, small fridge and microwave, and WiFi. Everything […] looked new and well-maintained, and the beds were very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast ("full", not "continental") was quite good, with eggs, sausage, biscuits, "make your own" waffles, yogurt, cereal, pastry, bagels, etc. It was a welcome respite and an ideal midway point for our trip. We stopped here on our way from MD to Naples, FL and the convenience to I-95 was perfect. Hotel staff was friendly. I liked that there were two Queen sized beds, however, mattresses could have been a little more comfortable. Breakfast was very nice (waffle maker, scrambled eggs, sausage, etc...) This hotel is another example of Country Inn & Suites. I have been staying in these for the past 3 years and have never been dissappointed. the hotel is reasonable, clean, cookies and coffee upon arrival and a good breakfast. I would recommend anyone driving from or to florida on 95 to stay in this hotel, very convenient from 95.

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed at this facility and on both occasions we have been very pleased with the staff, room, and service we have received. Should we be travelling through this area again and need a place to stay we will certainly stay here and suggest to our friends that they do the same.

The bed mattresses were too hard. We were out of the room all day and when we returned at about 9PM the room had not been touched. No beds made, no new towels or anything cleaned. Don't know why? The night desk did give me new towels but that was it. First time thats ever happened to me at a hotel. Hopefully the last.

"Nice, Practical and good deal for the Price"
Just needed somewhere to stay for the night close to 95 clean and comfortable. Hotel room was big nice and clean. Also included a breakfast in the morning with hot food. Would definitely stay here again.

Our family has stayed at this hotel previously, on a trip to Orlando, and we were pleased, so we booked this hotel again when we were returning to Florida on vacation. "Florence SC -- right off 95"
You do get what you pay for -- I chose this property because my other choices were not available. Staff was cheerful and attentive. Room had an odor -- not "terrible" but it had an odor. Breakfast was forgettable. You do get what you pay for.

Our room was never cleaned by the staff and consequently we never received any clean towels. There also was not adequate parking and I had to get permission from the front desk late at night to park in the security space.

I looked for a place to stay one night on our trip from Connecticut to Florida. This hotel offered a very clean, quiet and comfortable room. The breakfast was decent as was the faciltiy. "comfortable overnight stay"
Stayed one night while enroute to New York. Very clean room and bathroom. Surprised that breakfast area did not have a waffle maker... fresh fruit looked very dried out... but found enough to eat before getting on the road. Would recommend the hotel for overnight only. Located conveniently off I-95 but in a very industrial location.

Having stayed at Country Inns in other parts of the country and found them consistently well maintained/good value, I was disappointed by this branch. The bed (and what else is more important?) was a king that probably had been used frequently by an elephant. Deeply sagged in the middle, I ended up sleeping diagonally to find some level of support. […] We had two rooms . . . upon check-in we discovered that the other had not been made up (at 10 PM at night). They upgraded my daughter to a Jacuzzi suite but still . . . "Perfect for the money and an overnight stay"
A very nice hotel and a great staff. The accomodations were very applicable to the price. We really liked the Double Queen with a Pull out Couch. It allowed our entire family to sleep comfortable. The Continental breakfast was adequate and the pool was great.
