God oppfølging fra resepsjonen gjorde oppholdet i Roma til en fornøyelse. Drosjeholdeplass 150 meter unna hjalp også på. Selve hotellet er svært lite (tror det bare er ca 15 rom), frokostsalen er på taket (stort sett utendørs, og heisen er den minste jeg noen gang har sett: Kun for én person om gangen. Likevel er dette et hotell jeg absolutt vil kunne […] bruke igjen dersom jeg skal tilbake til Roma. Beliggenheten (2-5 min. gange fra togstasjonen og samtidig nærhet til Colosseum m.m.) er super. Som de fleste andre sentrumsnære hotellene i Roma i denne prisklassen, var rommene små og trange. Bitte liten heis med plass til en person ved siden av en koffert. Ligger i gangavstand med trillekoffert fra jernbanestasjonen, så hvis du skal dit er dette et bra alternativ. Koselige fortaus kafeer rett på utsiden. Vennlig personale. This hotel was a complete and total disappointment. Not located anywhere near where it stated, located in a questionable neighborhood and the staff was mediocre at best. The hotel staff came into the room whenever they pleased (as we walked in on them a few times). Pay the extra money and stay elsewhere.

Very pleased with this stay. Not the most central location, although close to coliseum, Rome is very hilly so it's a good 20 min walk. But Santa Maria Maggiore and other major churches are minutes away. Breakfast is fine, apart from my only actual complaints: worst hotel coffee ever (in Rome!?) and no view of coliseum, as described. Free wifi in rooms […] which is a real bonus for a cheap hotel. Would definitely consider again. Les mer

Positives: Location, cleaniness, friendly stuff. Negatives: Very small room, there was no soap, shampoo etc. for two days. General: Undeniably, this hotel does not worth to be rated as a ''3 star''. I would rate it at the most as ''2 stars''. It is not ''value for money''.

The staff was very nice and helpful, the room was very very small and out dated but this is to be expected in an old hotel. My only problem was the size of the shower, I am a small person and had a hard time fitting in the shower. So I booked this hotel all because of the lovely roof top breakfast- however you can't see anything from the roof top other than other hotels, the breakfast doesnt have anything hot in it, and even when things run out - your just unlucky they don't restock food even though breakfast runs for 2 hours. Location is smack bang in the middle opposite one […] of the main chapels, very good for food,bars,cafe,ice cream and gettig around rome. The concierge were fantastic really really nice and helpful. The rooms are tiny , as are all in rome. We enjoyed our stay but would recommend not wasting money on the breakfast in the hotel rather go to the local cafes. Les mer

The Hotel Doria was very convenient to the central station and major sights in Rome and in a very good neighborhood with many restaurants in the vicinity. However, cleanliness and service was not a strength. Bed sheets were either in poor condition or were left soiled. Also the single room was very small.

Spent 4 nights here at the end of our cruise. Convenient, close to major transportation, helpful staff, all in all pretty good. Small room, 2 twin beds very close together. TINY elevetor that would hold 2 people or luggage (stacked if more than one piece) and one person. But, very nice to have instead of climbing up and down with luggage. I stayed here for abou 5 days to my recent stay in rome. Very clean hotel, friendly hotel and great location. 10 minute walk to colloseum, spanish steps, fontana di trevi...3 min walk to termini train station. Great little hotel in a very convenient location. Breakfast adequate - served on the rooftop, a bonus. No minus points, but the shower was definitely "slim fit".

The only thing that springs to mind is that the lift was far to small and you could really get one person in the lift at a time. The breakfast was excellent and the view from the terrace was amazing. We had to pay a city tax of 12 euro's when we left Rome but when we left Naples no tax cant understand why?. Do certain City's pay taxes and not others? […] Can anyone let me know about this Les mer

The hotel was clean and comfortable, even at European standards the room was big enough for two. I was traveling with my daughter and safety was a big concern. This hotel met all of my requirements. We stayed for two nights during our recent trip to Rome. I chose this hotel for the value and its proximity to the train station (no car and heavy bags :). Given the great prices we got during peak season I was extremely impressed with the hotel (definitely the "fanciest" of our trip). Bathroom was small but clean. The desk staff was helpful when we […] checked in, giving us a useful tourist map with all the sights marked out. We were able to walk everywhere (Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona) with the exception of the Vatican (to which, mainly for time reasons, we took the metro, extremely easy due to the hotel's close proximity to the Termini station). The hotel had a breakfast included on a very lovely rooftop terrace (normal Italian offering: cereals, biscuits, cheese, jams, cafe, etc.). It's also just across the square from an impressive church (I can't recall the name at the moment but it's big enough to be in the guide books). Waking up to chiming church bells definitely set the mood for our Roman holiday. I would return here on my next trip to Rome. Les mer

This is the worst Hotel in ROME. The Staff is unbelievably rude and inconsiderate, and the rooms are pathetic. Small and filthy. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

The location of this hotel is great, very central and you can explore most places on foot. It's roughly a 15 minute walk to the Colosseum and the ancient ruins, in the other direction it's about 20-30 minutes to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. It's close enough to Termini Station to comfortably walk there with luggage, but far enough away to be […] in a decent area. The rooms are reasonably small, especially the bathroom, but they are clean, have a little fridge and air conditioning works well. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was good! It's not a luxury hotel, but if you are just looking for a clean and comfortable base from which to explore the city, this is perfect. I would be very happy to stay in this hotel again. Les mer

Pros: Location was close enough to everything if not, the metro was close by. Cons: The first bad experience I had on my Euro trip was at this hotel. Air conditioner was blowing hot air all night. Bathroom towels were a joke. The Wi Fi was rediculous. The bed is perfect if you are 3' 2" tall. It honestly looked like a bed made for Barbie. Just a couple of streets from the Colosseum, the Forum and the train and bus stations, this is a good choice. Clean, cute, with a terrace on the roof top for morning's breakfast, the only drawbacks were: tiny bathroom and shower, and in our case slow draining, to boot. Mostly positive overall,so I would go back.

My wife and I had a few days before our cruise and wanted to see the sights of Rome. The hotel was conveniently located (i.e. 15-20 minute walk from a number of landmarks), and we were able to see the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navonna, Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Capitoline museum over the course of our time there. The continental breakfast was […] fabulous (plenty of variety) and the front desk was very helpful. The room faced a busy street, so there was some noise, but not enough to prohibit sleep. If you are new to European travel, please note that the hotels in Europe generally have smaller rooms and bathrooms. This was no different, as the bathroom was barely four feet by four feet (and made our cruise ship bathroom feel large by comparison). I would definitely stay there again as it was a great location. This was quite a decent place, with no-frills and pleasant service. It had all the basics and was a convenient location near the train station. The neighbourhood seemed quite safe when walking to/from downtown, though walking to/from the train station was a little sketchy at night. They offer two twin beds together as a king bed. It is very unconfortable. Bath towels are like a "table cloth". Believe me... they are a piece of fabric similar to a giant handkerchief. Elevator is TOO small. Two persons don´t fit in the elevator together. Even a large case wouldn´t fit, either! Heating system is old and dificult to control. The staff was very friendly and helpful. While the location is convenient if you are traveling by train, it is a long walk to the major sights. The room was clean, but somewhat tired. The rooms and bathrooms are very small.

I'm always wary of hotels near the train station, but this one was an exception. Hotel was extremely clean with an efficient and polite staff. I was in a single room and it was very small (especially the shower which probably can't accomodate anyone with more than a 34 inch waist) but was very clean with working safe, tv, minibar, and most importantly, […] plenty of hot water. I was there Christmas week so hotel was very quiet. Rooms all seem to face inner courtyard, so no street noise. Breakfast was fine and typically European: great meats, cheese, warm cornetti, cereal, yogurt etc. Location is great if you want to be near train station and ancient Rome sights. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival. Our room face the rear, and was very quiet for such a central location. Room very clean and comfortable. Brekfast on top floor, although early november able to have breakfast on roof terrace if wanted. Service at breakfast exceelent, with excellent cappocinio. Thoroughly reccomend

Everything about this Hotel was great, especially at night the rooms were soundproof, so we got a good nights sleep.The reception staff were very helpfull, giving us maps and recommending us Restuarants.We would deffinately stay here again.

I was extremely satisfied with my stay at the Hotel Doria. We were there for 2 nights after our cruise with disembarked in Rome. The Room was small, but comfortable and clean. The shower in the bathroom was about the same size as the cabin on our ship (barely able to turn around or bend down). The only problem we had with the shower seemed to be that […] after I took a shower, my wife took hers. During her shower, the hot water went off (did not become cold, but actually went off). I think that they ration it. The area was convenient as the Hop-on Hop-off bus stopped about 2 minutes away. For the price, I would strongly recommend it. Hotel Doria was in a great location and the staff were friendly. We had read that the bathrooms were small...they were but it was similar to elsewhere and Europe and it was doable. Breakfast was easy and there was a nice view from the terrace.

i had started my trip off in a hostel in Rome, i got in late and found it to be a dive, so i booked Hotel Doria that night and the next day i was staying there. they staff was very nice. they answered all my 1st time traveler questions. the room was great, and its close to everything!!

Very pleasant management (especially if you try to speak Italian). Very near the train station. Walking distance to Colloseum and the Centro Storico. Breakfast on the rooftop was also nice.

Reasonably priced and nice hotel. Close to termini and Santa Maria Maggoire. Walkable distance to the Rome sites. Wear good shoes. We preferred the less crowded, less touristy location. We were in Rome during the height of tourist season so the sightseeing destinations were crowded and the heat and humidity took its toll as we walked everywhere. Good […] creature comforts at the hotel. The well air-conditioned room made for good sleeping. Enjoyed the coffee, pastries, yogurt, etc. each morning on the roof top terrace. Our room was adequately sized and clean. Shower was very small and the towels were more like starched linen tablecloths - just as other guests noted. Nonetheless, it suited our purposes well. This is a no-frills hotel. You get a (very) small bathroom and a twin bed. But... it's cheap and in a very convenient location. The hop on-hop off busses pick up right across the street, and you can walk to the Colliseum and Forum in about 15 minutes. It's a 5 minute walk from the train station and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Hotel is exactly what we expected. The rooms are clean, but small as is typical of Rome boutique hotels. Shower was very small. The elevator can only hold one person and maybe a small roll-aboard bag, which you have to straddle to get into the elevator! We sent one person up, then our luggage, then the other person, for 3 elevator trips. Breakfast was […] limited, but well-presented and nice service. Leave a euro or two for the waitress. Neighborhood was along a main street with many places to eat. About a 7-minute walk from the train station, but along narrow sidewalks, so challenging with suitcases in tow. Internet (wireless on our laptop) was slow, but usable at 1.5 Euro for 60 mins. Worked for our 1 night stay and travel on trains. Les mer

Stayed for 2 nites,, my first time to rome and i wanted a good location and this was jst right.. everything about the hotel was lovely and i WILL be going back!!
