Hyggelig betjening. Rom og bad var rene og virket nyoppusset. Rolig strøk nær hovedgaten Union Street.

The hotel and staff were lovely. The location is convenient and has ample parking. I would look to stay there again in the future and would highly recommend it.

This independently owned hotel has a lot going for it with friendly, helpful hotel staff let down by an inattention to detail eg one set of towels for two people, removing and not replacing soap etc albeit quickly put right. However, the same could not be said of the attached restaurant. We had one dinner and several breakfasts and consistently felt […] unwanted and a nuisance. Staff attitudes and practices were poor and the place could do with a first class restaurant manager to take charge of it. "Simpson's Hotel Aberdeen"
Every year we travel up to Aberdeen for our wedding anniversary. We normally stay in the Doubletree at the beach but this year we fancied a change and due to its location being within walking distance of the centre we thought we would give it a go. I'm so glad we did, working in the trade myself one of the most important aspects of any stay is customer […] service. When we arrived we received a genuine warm welcome from the ladies at reception and were asked if we required help to take our bags up. The decor was such a welcome change to the sometime sterile enviroments you can sometimes find in good quality hotels. Our room was of adequate size and we had a lovely view over to the pitches my husband used to play on as a child which brought back happy memories for him. The bed was extremely comfortable and the power shower was to die for. Got rid of quite a few knots in my overworked shoulders! Although we chose to eat out at night we went down to breakfast in the hotel restaurant. What a vision!!! The most beautiful entrance I have ever seen, the grand staircase down into the dining area gave that initial wow factor. Breakfast was lovely and the service prompt and friendly. Both the menu and the wine list look very intriguing so next time we will definitely be staying put for dinner. We will definitely be returning to Simpson's, many, many thanks. Les mer

"It's ok"
The Simpsons hotel is an ok place to stay. It was one of the cheaper options which surprised me because the hotel is located in Aberdeen's westend (the posh bit). The room I got was tiny I even struggled to walk between the bottom of the bed and the sideboard! I'm sure there must be bigger rooms but I suppose you get what you pay for. "Simpsons Hotel Aberdeen-first class service"
We were due to stay for 1 night only, but as we arrived one day earlier we stayed for 2 nights. The staff were courteous, happy and helpful at all times. The room was beautiful, with an excellent standard of decoration and facilities- Molton Brown toiletries provided. Breakfast was freshly cooked as ordered and of excellent standard. We were invited […] out to dine by relatives and so were unable to sample the dinner menu, although it looked very interesting. The whole ambience of the hotel was warm and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and could not have been more helpful providing a computer generated map for our dining location at a minutes notice, together with advice on how to get there. The location of the hotel is in a very good neighbourhood and is close enough to the city centre to walk or take a bus. I will stay at the hotel again without hesitation and recommend it to my friends, family and colleagues. The price was extremely reasonable and excellent value for money. Les mer

Check-in was very efficient and quick. Receptionist was very good and knowledgeable. Food in Lounge bar was very good. Drinks were expensive. Waiter service was excellent.

I cant recommend this hotel highly enough! Hotel has large off street car park, excellent service from polite friendly staff, our room was very large for a "standard room" and had a lovely bathroom, fab pressure on the shower (totally pummelled all stress from my shoulders in minutes!!) and.. a superkingsize bed. We had an early dinner from the bar […] menu as we had a 7 o'clock function and it was faultless.. beautiful beer battered haddock (perfect batter and very fresh fish) and my husband had pasta with house salad, he said it was one of the best house salads he has had anywhere (he is a chef who travels a lot). While we were finishing our drinks ready to head off the staff were coming round all tables with trays of complimentary canapes. The restaurant looked beautiful and we were served a lovely breakfast there in morning, cereal, fruit and juices etc. toast, husbands obligitary Scottish fry up (no grease in sight and fantastic portions) and I had fresh salmon with scrambled eggs, perfectly cooked. Yes, the decor of the main hotel is perhaps not what one would call boutique but personally I'd rather have the content of comfort and service against ultra modern paper and paint. Something to be aware of is the hotel is very bitty (winding corridors and stairs) as its been converted from large houses to one large hotel - this is not a downside unless you are perhaps a bit unsteady for walking, however I feel sure that the staff at this hotel would work everything out to suit any guests comfort and needs. This was the nicest hotel we stayed at in Scotland. It was surprisingly nice. We had a modest hotel budget and had a nice bit of luxury at Simpsons Hotel. The bathroom was big, the room was small but well decorated. The breakfast was good. On arrival the receptionist said that there was no booking under my name and the hotel did not do bookings through Hotel.com. However, when I gave her my computer print out receipt from Hotel.com we were allocated a room and upgraded to a suite. Furniture in the room was tired and worn. The rooms are small and the amount of furntiure in them, presumably to meet some regulation, make them cluttered and quite uncomfortable. The TV is very small and from a bygone era : the point of the CD player was lost on me. The room was at basement level...I had a clear view of the underside of a car for a week. Not amused !
