Springhill Suites by Marriott Lawrence - Lawrence

Very nice hotel and desk staff were friendly and knowledgable. Close to downtown, an easy walk to restaurants and shops. Pool and spa were very clean and nice and open until 11 pm, which is a plus.

I had a very restless night of sleep. The bed was hard and a train whistle kept me awake for most of the night. The pool was overchlorinated and the hot tub was out of service. Its a good place whereyou can walk to the restaurants and bars of Lawrence. The pool was a bonus, too.

Room was large and clean, beds were comfy, great location, continental bfast was ok.

Clean, easy-to-use ammenities (clock radio, climate control), good front room area with desk, couch and second TV, and nice complimentary breakfast that included eggs, oatmeal and waffles. Enjoyed the stay here. Nice riverfront view. The suite had room for my family of 5. Free breakfast was pretty good, but waffle maker was not working properly. Would stay here again.

Very quiet, even though it's right next to Railroad Tracks. Couldn't hear anything. Everything was clean but nothing fancy. Towels very thin. Nice Indoor pool and fitness center. Continental Breakfast was not the Marriott standard in my opinion. I will however stay there each time i go to Lawrence

I stayed here for business and the hotel is very close to the main shopping street (Massachusetts) but is also right along the river, with great views. There is a nice recreation trail just across the river from the hotel. it was great having a microwave/fridge, and I definitely relied on their frozen foods options in the hotel store for a couple meals […] since I had to work. One down side is they have canned soup for sale but the room didn't come with a stove or pot - so how would you heat it? Also, upon my usual bedbug inspection I found someone's undershirt right underneath one mattress, which was kind of gross. Les mer

Great room. Staff hooked us up with a great irish pub for dinner. Did hear one train early in the morning. I guess that could mess with a light sleeper. Room was great. Excellent breakfast.

We had three adult children 18-21 and it is very hard to find a place to stay all in the same room. We tried about 25 hotels before we found this room! We would have appreciated an extra pillow and blanket for the pull out bed in the room somewhere but it was fine. Thanks!

We went to a show at The Granada and this was the only hotel within walking distance. I was a bit reluctant about getting this room based on the rating, but did anyway because of vicinity. And we were VERY pleasantly surprised. The hotel staff was super friendly and check-in only took about a minute. The hotel was really cool; very modern. The room […] was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We could look out the window and see people fishing in the river, which I thought was kinda neat. liked this hotel very much. on the river with a dam near by. very nice pool and lobby area. breakfast was excellent. front desk people very helpful. gave us printed directions to an excellent bbq restaurant..biggs.

Most comfortable bed ever! Only thing that makes it less than perfect was being close to the train tracks. The train honks as it comes around the corner, outside it's extremely loud, inside not too bad.

Overall, this is a great hotel in a fantastic location. The only problem we had was getting extra bedding for the hide-a-bed. There were only two flat sheets and a wool blanket available, and when we called the front desk for more, it took almost 15 minutes for them to answer the phone and they gave us grief about getting the extra bedding. I have stayed at this hotel once for a conference, once because my preferred hotel was booked and the most recent time for the same reason. My other stays were fine, but a little lacking. This is always my first hotel choice when in Lawrence. The location is great, the staff is always friendly and accommodating and the rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. We appreciate the free breakfast, internet access and workout room. Within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants on Mass St.

We love staying in this hotel when we visit our grandchildren in Lawrence. Everything is organized, neat and accommodating. We just wish there weren't so many special weekends when there are KU games and the rates rise accordingly. Booking with Hotels.com seemed to control that rise in prices. There is quite a walk from the parking lot to the front desk but other than that the room was clean and nice. Only stayed one night.

The hotel was fine as a travel agent I expect the best in everything I would refer this hotel to friends and family and would stay there again if I needed to.
