Great location, nice rooms clean and functionable, very safe for ladies who are having a celebrateory night out. Note Cheaper parking available just opposite the entrance to Mailbox instead of driving into the underground parking thats £18 per night carry on round under bridge to either parking actually under bridge £7 or the NCP parking multistory its really just accross the road

A lovely spacious room , appreciated by my 2 teenagers . Great service , location for our evening at the EW & F Concert at the NIA -21/07/10 . With a busy commercial / shopping area , need to indicate its location as it can be easily missed - its very good family hotel , and needs to promote its location on a map . We recommend it , and will stay there again - a great internet price offer . Well done to the Ramada

I think the location of this hotel is idea considering you are just a few minutes walk away from Birmingham News Street Station, and the City Centre. Bath room could have been a little more cleaner and room service could clean room better as well. But that is just basic improvements. Overall great location for the price. you will love walking along the canals.

I enjoyed my stay the Hotel is in a great location on the Canals right in the centre Birmingham Staff very friendly and efficient all in all a good stay, the one problem is Noise from Construction Site next door very loud starts at 8 in the morning hope you dont want to sleep in

The hotel room quality, furniture was good, the service was bad, there was no conceirge, no mini bar in the room, one door access card was only issued to us. I was dissapointed, when I asked for conceirge and was told, we will give you a trolley to shift your luggage. Also, in the second day of our 3 days stay, we reicved a call from reception and they have told us, that the water will be disconnected for few hours from our room. This was discrasefull thing.

I went to Birmingham to visit my daughter who is a student there. The Ramada is situated in the city centre and everything we need to do or go to was within walking distance from this hotel. I will certainly stay here again.

Situated a short walk from New St Station eveything you require is very close by or within the 'Mailbox' complex & these include shops from Harvey Nichols to Tesco Metro & a large choice of restaurants/bars. The busy inital approach soon becomes peace & quiet beside the canal where narrowboats moor up outside the hotel entrance.

Ask for canal side views on the higher floors, there can be noise from the restaurants and the building site next door. family room was very spacious and comfortable, bathroom was tired looking and didn't have a bath tub. Breakfast was ok, but not great.

The location in the heart of the Mailbox was great. Unlike others reviewing here, we didn't have a big problem with noise. The room was clean and spacious too. But there was some confusion over a 2-for-1 offer on hotel food, advertised on the hotel's own website. None of the staff could agree on what times it was valid, or for what kinds of food. We felt like we were committing a faux pas for even asking about it. We ended up walking out and going to one of the many eateries in the Mailbox/Brindleyplace area.

The hotel is located at the heart of birmingham .The view is beautiful and the rooms are quiet impressive . The only problen i had was parking since the hotel has no car park of it,s own.

I stayed at the Ramada on Sat 11th April 2009, on arrival the staff were very friendly & pleasant. The hotel room was very nice, clean, spacious with a lovely view. The only downside was that the bed felt a bit like you sunk in it. The only other downside was the parking, it was pay as you go & can be quite expensive if you're driving in and out a few times. We then decided to park behind the hotel and needless to sat that we ended up getting a parking ticket on Easter Sunday. Other than that I would definately visit this hotel again and would recommend it, such a bargain!

The Post Code when put into the Sat Nav took us to a completely different Hotel. When we rand Ramada they said the Post Code was different for the Car Park, but this Post Code only tooki us around the corner and still no Ramada Hotel. Again we spoke to them and they knew where we were and gave us directions. On getting in the car park we found to leave the car for the night it was £18.00, which I thought was expensive. We had been told once in the Car Park to get the lift to the Seventh Floor. The Lift would not go to Seven, it kept going to Five and then going back down. We then got out at the Fifth Floor which was a shopping prescinct and worked our way up. The Ramada did not have any obvious signs to show where it was. So far quite a frustrating time. The Reception was out the back of the Shopping centre and when we had been directed to it, we found from this point all was good. The Reception is at the edge of a canal which is lined with bars and restaurants. We were there for a visit to the National Indoor Arena which is just a slow Ten Minutes walk along the canal. The Hotel service was good and everything to do with the room was spot on. Just a shame its a nightmare to find.

The Ramada in Birmingham City Centre is in The Mailbox, a place full of exciting shops and cafes. It's just a few minutes walk from New Street train station and the city centre. The room I stayed in was comfortable, clean and functional. The only downside was that the temperature in the room was rather high so it was a little stuffy during the night. The breakfast facilities were excellent and the staff were friendly.

Hotel was clean and staff were pleasant however if you are after a decent night's sleep before 1am then this is not the hotel for you. We were on the 4th floor (5 floors in all) and after a long day of Christmas shopping went to bed about 11pm. However, we could not sleep due to the music being so loud from the bars/restaurants on the ground floor!! Other than that, the location is good for shopping. Unfortunately, we will not be going back or recommending the hotel to friends.

The Ramada is perfectly located in the city centre to explore B'ham on foot. Our room was spacious and clean, and the bed very comfy. The only little minus was the noise from the building construction site nearby which once shortened our lie in and once disturbed our afternoon nap a bit.

Good hotel

the reason i gave this hotel a low rating is purely for the fact that you are paying for location and definately not the hotel. the bathroom sink stank of rotten eggs when the tap was run. the sofa bed was given rough sofa cushions to sleep on instead of pillows. to be honest we didn't want to go to breakfast, we resorted to mcdonalds . dissapointing!

I stayed here with my partner so we could have some time away from our 18 year old son. The location is amazing, with lots of eateries and get view along the canal. Can be a bit noisey at night but it was pretty quite after 2am. The room was comfortable but if you prefer a harder mattress then it might be worth asking cause ours was not that great. Staff are extreamly friendly and helpful and I would go back there.

We were pleased with the service and enjoyed a very comfortable bed. The location is probably one of Birmingham's nicest.

Not a bad hotel at all, worth the money, located in a good location from walkin distance to braod street, china town and bull ring and it has its own shopping facilities within the mail box, would give it a thumbs up

Ideally small hotel within The Mailbox Complex - well positioned to access all parts of central Birmingham on foot. Very comfortable, simply facilities. The Malibox has restaurants yards from the main hotel and great shops. Would certainly use this hotel again. Can imagine that this would be a great hotel in the Summer as it over looks the revamped canal basin and has bars / food available.

We chose this hotel for the closeness (we hoped) to the Birmingham Symphony Hall mainly but Broad Street etc. it was fantasic for location which just involved a 10 minute walk along the canel, what a lovely way to start your day

we had an excellent stay at your hotel, it was my parthers birthday so we stayed for 2 nights , great view overlooking the canals we defo stay again , great location

Goede locatie, dichtbij stations. Goede prijs/kwaliteitverhouding. Kamer niet geheel schoon, vlekken op de muur. Geen airco en een raam openzetten is vanwege het lawaai niet prettig. Ontbijt erg duur.

Ruime, schone kamer, met mooie docuhegelegenheid. Vlakbij winkels, eetgelegenheden en New Street station.

Jag kan verkligen rekommendera det här hotellet! Det ligger väldigt vackert placerat och under hotellet finns fyra restauranger. Det ligger nära till både pubar, bio och shopping. Vi stannade bara en natt och hade bästa vädret man kan tänka sig. Det var ca 25 grader på dagen och väldigt varmt på natten. Om ni ska dit på sommaren så bör ni tänka på att det inte finns någon luftkonditionering! Det finns en liten högljudd fläkt man kan använda. (inte bra alternativ) Vi var där i slutet av maj och jag kan bara tänka mig hur jobbigt och varmt det blir på sommaren. Så tänk på det! Allt annat var väldigt bra. Vi stannade lördag-söndag och då kostade frukosten £6.5 per person men på en vardag kostar den mellan £12-13. De har ett stort utbud vid frukosten och vi tyckte absolut att det var värt priset! Som jag skrev så ligger det väldigt vackert och från restaurangerna så har man utsikt över kanalen i Birmingham det är ett romantiskt område som har nära till allt. Det enda stora problemet var dock luftkonditioneringen. Trevlig resa!

Das Hotel bietet soliden Komfort zu einem vernünftigen Preis. Die Lage ist recht zentral und schön am oberen Ende des Shopping Centers "The Mailbox" gelegen. Der Innenstadtbereich ist zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Die Betten sind eher weich.
