We stayed for one night, to reach a flight next morning. We arrived late, and the receptionist was not very polite. The hotel was too far from the airport (and the taxi driver in addition made a large detour when bringing us to the hotel) The rooms were of simple standard, (but clean). Even if it sais some places; the shuttle service is not complimentary! Clean room, friendly staff. Only German TV channels. Ok value for the money.

Parking is a problem. Finding the place, first time, a challenge. Breakfast above average. Staff pleasant, but little they could or did do when someone parked in a way to block access to the parking garage - a pain when raining! Sparce room, though adequate. No refer or microwave or extra pillows or alarm clock or radio. Price more attractive than many […] hotels/motels right at hotel, but to say it's an "airport" hotel is deceptive. Les mer

This hotel is little far from the airport and we need the bus for 20 minutes or hotel's shuttle. The bus stop is clese to the hotel. The accomodation fee is reasonable compared with the near airport. The clerk was very kind and breakfast was good. The internet service was not used in the room, I could use LAN only near the front desk.

Great hotel if you have an overnight stop at the airport. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Shuttle service to/ from the airport is 5 euro pp and you need to call them when you get there. We had to wait about 40 min though. Overall good place for a good price. Recommended.

The staff were very helpful. Make sure to ask about ride from airport to hotel when you book. Otherwise you will pay too much for a taxi.

Hotel Albatross was a very good hotel to spend an overnight between flights. The shuttle service was very good, staff was friendly, the room clean, and restful, excellent breakfast with a large selection of items, and a restaurant on site. We would recommend staying here if you have to spend and overnight in Frankfurt, for the price and quality you […] couldn't get a better place. Les mer

my family has stayed at this hotel twice to ease arrival at Frankfurt for a morning international flight. The price is right, the breakfast is good and filling, and there is a shuttle which drops you right off at the airport. The only thing I would recommend is that they have a scale available with weights in pounds and kilograms for checking bags prior […] to departure and that they get an updated gate listing, we had to hoof it from terminal B to terminal A cause they dropped us off at the wrong one. Friendly staff very helpful. I highly recommend. It is about 10 minutes to Airport.

This is a value hotel, its an excellent transit hotel through Frankfurt for only 50 Euro (including RT shuttle). There is a larger shopping center only about 5-10 min walk away. The internet was spotty but it did work well once you got a solid signal. Breakfast was small but decent, bed was comfortable, TV was flat screen and some rooms have a fridge. […] There is no A/C though so I would hesitate before staying here in the summer but the rest of year works well. 2 star accommodations but 4 star value. We chose the hotel for airport location with wi-fi and breakfast. We were well satisfied on all counts.

We were thankful we had a place to stay before our return flight to the US but we were not satisfied with this hotel. The smell in the hallways and elevator was disgusting. There was no one who could speak English so our friends could not connect with us (no we didn't have cell phones with us) We were not contacted when our bag arrived from the airport […] - we just "saw" it behind the counter. Our room was located in the rear of the hotel and it was VERY loud (there is a night club right behind hotel). We HAD to have our window open because of how hot it was that evening so the noise kept us up all night. The hotel is clean and was quiet. Room furnishings were minimal--the bed, 3 straightback chairs and writing desk with TV. The night clerk spoke neither English or German well but tried to be helpful. Neither driver, to and from, the airport was friendly. The morning clerk acted like she had a very bad night and while efficient she was unable to smile. […] When we checked out we said we would like a shuttle to the airport to which she replied, "well you can't have it---it is not here. The hotel is clean and comfortable, close to the airport and has a restaurant, which is convenient. The big problem is that while the hotel has a shuttle service, they are not listed on the airport hotel shuttle board where you can easily call them. You have to have their phone number and call them on your own to come pick you up, which is a problem […] if you are an international traveler and your cell phone doesn't work in Germany. I would use the Albatros again for a short stopover between a late arriving evening and an early departing morning flight. Good points were a clean and functional bathroom, a reasonable bed to sleep in with breakfast included, useful free Wi-Fi that I used in the ground floor areas (but too weak to use in my bedroom) and a restaurant that was open until […] late next door. For the discounted price I paid for B&B plus an extra charge for the roundtrip shutte charge this hotel provided the basic, short stopover, accommodation that I needed. I would use it again if I am in the same situation. One needs to be aware that to catch the shuttle bus from Frankfurt airport to the Alabtros hotel you need to ring the hotel on arrival to ask to be picked up. Therefore it is very important to know the hotel's telephone number in advance. Many of the airport hotels (particularly the large and more expensive ones) pick up on a regular schedule without being telephoned and most of the hotels pick up at the Frankfurt arrivals exit. The Alabatros is one of the hotels that picks up on the Frankfurt DEPARTURES entrance level which is on the floor level ABOVE the arrivals exit. level. I rang the hotel and was picked up at the departures point in the location "C7". The letter "C" is well-signposted but the "7" is written on the inside of the departures (entrance) to the airport and isn't so easy to spot. The shuttle bus from the Alabatros picked me up at C7 within 15 minutes of my telephoning the hotel and it seemed to be a 10 to 15 minute journey (I am guessing probably about 4 or 5 km). The pick up was free and then I paid when I booked the hotel's shuttle back to the airport next morning. Five euros for the shuttle roundtrip was a reasonable additional cost, for a hotel in the lower end of the B&B price range, compared to two taxi fares. Very convenient location and shuttle service to airport for 5 euros. The breakfast was fine. The room was comfortable and clean. My one major gripe was that I had clearly stated in my reservation that I wanted a non-smoking room, but was put into a smoking room. It was quite late when I checked in, and I had an early morning flight, so I was too tired […] to complain and ask for another room when I had already dragged 2 suitcases to the top floor. However, this was very annoying and made it difficult for me to sleep well, as the entire room (including the bathroom) smelled strongly of smoke. Les mer

Everything in the hotel was just fine for our stay except for the man at the front desk. He was rude, arrogant and didn't seem to care for Americans to much. I would recommended this hotel to others but most of the people I know are Americans and I did not feel welcome. Every time we talked to him it really seemed to be putting him out. I was very disappointed with the hotel, the beds were not made, there was just a comforter on the bed. Very plain, no pictures on the walls. They did not subscribe to any English language T.V. program. We asked for a wakeup call that never came. We were to get breakfast at 4:45 AM before the shuttle came at 5:30 am we got nothing !! NOT close to the airport. Additionally, you need to schedule a shuttle pick up, it doesn't just run like all other hotel shuttles. When I scheduled my shuttle to the airport from the hotel, they did not record it the first time I asked. I had to reschedule my shuttle to the airport.

The hotel listing on hotel.com does not disclose that the hotel charges 5 Euros for using the hotel van. So, add 10 Euros to the price of the reservation for two people. The hotel is not located at the airport so requires a small drive to the next town (ergo the requirement to take a taxi, for more then the 5 Euro cost of using the hotel van). The […] hotel is situated in a residential neighborhood so my wife and I felt safe in walking before dinner. We eat dinner in the restaurant that is next door to the hotel. The food is billed a Mediterranean but the chef adds in his own cultural twist that we very much enjoyed. The restaurant staff is very friendly and helpful.i would be pleased to eat there again. We stayed 1 night and, for the price, it would be hard to beat. The rooms are very simple but clean and the beds comfortable. The selection at breakfast was not large, but more than enough to get us going. Would certainly stay again but only for a few nights.

The hotel was very close to Frankfurt airport, reasonable price and adequate for an overnight stay. I would stay again if I needed a hotel for a night between connecting flights.

We were traveling with two small children. A closer restaurant would have been good. Otherwise, a good value for airport hotel.

I was very thankful for this hotel after a long day. They were able to give me a wake-up call, they arranged my ride to the airport, and had a nice/simple breakfast available. The food at the restaurant was very good - I had a nice pasta dish when I arrived in the evening. Everything was clean in my room when I arrived, which is always nice.

The hotel was relatively clean. Iron board was not very clean. Breakfast starts at 6am and it is not that bad given it is free. You have very limited access to TV channels. The location of pick up at STR T1 was arrival C7 and T2 arrival E?. Shuttle charge is very reasonable at $2. It is a good value for a short stay.

A surprisingly good value and relatively convenient to the FRA airport. The hotel shuttle was 4 Euro/person round trip from and to the airport, which is reasonable compared to many German hotel shuttles. The breakfast, too, was better than average and included in the room price. Downsides: Understaffed, we had to wait over an hour for a second pillow […] because the only employee present was the front desk clerk who could not leave her desk. WIFI was so weak as to be nearly useless. Smell of tobacco smoke pervasive and oppressive in the halls, even in the "smoke free" wing, but our "smoke free" room itself was fine. Despite the downsides, we will definitely use the Albatross again as the price was very reasonable and the staff very friendly. We use Frankfurt International Airport at least once or twice a year and most of the hotels want an arm, a leg, plus your first born for the privilege of staying with them. The Albatross appears to be owned by one family and they are eager to please and keep it well maintained and cleaned. Les mer

My single room did not have an alarm clock in the room (really?) so I asked receptionist for wake up call. Nothing happened, no wake up call and I woke up later than expected and rushed out in order not to miss my plane. I could have missed my flight altogether! Also I'm a small woman and the blankets were so tiny I couldn't even cover myself. Loud […] neighbors and thin walls. Everything else was fine. Good shuttle service and staff was overall friendly. The hotel was not as close to the air port as it was mentioned on the web site. Certaily more than 2,6 miles of distance. The town were the hotel was located was very small with limited resources. Difficult for us who did not have a car. The elevator was out of order for 2 days as well as the coffee machine in the lounge. The TV was without cable and […] we had to pay almost 11 Euros /day if we wanted to watch TV. Some of the staff were not freindly .The room was clean however and the breakfast was good. Les mer

The hotel was fine for an overnight, but there's not much in the neighborhood. The attached restaurant/bar was a very pleasant surprise, however. The availability of the shuttle for just 2 Euro per person was also a big plus.

Very simple and inexpensive hotel, great for one or two nights. The adjoining restaurant was also surprisingly good.

We arrived late and called the hotel for a pick-up. They arrived promptly and we had no trouble checking in. The room was small (as they all are in Germany) which was not really a problem. The room looked over some casino so we had to keep the drapes drawn even though the room was extremely warm (you will not find a single hotel in Germany with AC). […] All of this was acceptable, but the beds were like sleeping on concrete. After an all night flight and a 8 hour layover in Amsterdam, I was dying for a little sleep but the bed was too hard for more than a few minutes rest. But the breakfast was good. Front desk was accomodating to move us to a non-smoking room. Breakfast was included, but below average. We didn't use it, but they have a shuttle to the airport for 4 euros per person. For some reason the carpet in our room was wet in some places, the tv only had 3 channels and in general the hotel and the room just had a run-down feel to it. I must say we were very satisfied with this hotel. We stayed overnight on our way to Eastern Europe and had no problems with the hotel whatsoever. We were not expecting anything big as this is a three star hotel in what is basically a the cargo terminal area of the airport but for the price we got a very clean room and a good breakfast next morning […] in a reasonably well maintained hotel. We wanted nothing more. One thing maybe... If you want to have a nice diner please only use the restaurant right beside the hotel on your own risk. I would stay at this hotel again. The shuttle service from the airport made it very convenient & I am now familiar with the area. The hotel staff is very good & patient at answering questions / giving directions to local restaurants, etc. The price was excellent! It is an older, unique hotel, with few good views since it is in an industrial area. The […] room & bedding was very clean. My only complaint was the bathroom smelled like they need to buy new mops, but I could tell they did clean everything & I saw a lady cleaning the sink in the bathroom downstairs & she was very meticulous, cleaning the stopper with a brush. This is a very clean hotel about 20 minutes away from FRA. There is only one twin size (may be smaller) bed and a 14' TV that does not provide any program in English. The wireless service is essentially non-usable although I spot a router right outside my room. The complimentary breakfast is good and the shuttle to/from the airport cost 2 euro each […] way (you need to reserve your trip to the airport in advance, and you need to call them from the airport for pickup). Clean, cheap, free Wi-Fi. A gritty part of town but within walking distance to restaurants and groceries. Good value for money.

this hotel has no airconditioning - a fan is provided - the bed was extremely hard and the bathroom was somewhat run down- breakfast was ok

Good hotel, everything that you need to stay overnight. Downs - no A/C in a room. Good kitchen, dinner for 2 runs @ 40 euro. Hotel provides shuttle to FRA airport for 2 euro pp. Same trip on taxi will cost apprx 20 euro.

This hotel was extremely clean. We felt welcomed at check-in. The restaurant had a nice variety of food for dinner, service was good and the food delicious! The one drawback was figuring out the airport pick-up which was inexpensive - cheap for 2 people, roundtrip. Make sure you have a hotel contact number before leaving on your trip.

Everything fine except WiFi coverage, which was spotty and often unreachable. Excellent shuttle service to/from FRA.
