Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Rice Lake - Rice Lake

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and have never been disappointed. Everything about this hotel is 5 star. The rooms are clean and nice, the staff is super friendly and the breakfast in the morning is great. I will always stay here when I come back.

Clean, comfortable and affordable hotel, just off the freeway. Convenient to several good restaurants. Quick and easy check in/check out. Decent deal for the money.

Have stayed here before and always have good experience. If I'm being nit-picky, though... The first shower I took, the faucet was making a loud, squeaky noise which would go away if I turned much hotter or much colder, but temp was not comfortable for me, so I just took quick shower. I'm not a complainer, so I didn't say anything. Next shower the noise […] was gone. Secondly, breakfast goes until 9:30; I went down at 9:25 not expecting much of anything, but did think I would get a bagel or something. Everything was already put away, but did get cup of apple juice. I will def stay here again. In fact, probably in a week. Can't beat the price. Les mer

In town for work, I enjoyed my stay very much. staff members when I checked in and checked out were efficient and very friendly. The breakfast was average, but I often eat bagels n cream cheese/peanut butter on the run so I was satisfied. I had a 1 bedroom suite-the bed was a double not a queen, but comfy and clean. I had a frig n microwave which was […] perfect, a small desk to work at, and a couch n coffeetable where I could spread out more if needed. Room are very small. There was only one long floresent light above your head to read by in bed so either one person in bed suffers while the other reads or it's lights out for all at once. One staff member was helpful that I met, the others could have cared less about their jobs it seemed. We asked for a late 2pm checkout and when we returned to gather […] our things we were locked out. So we had to go to the front desk and explain it to someone who looked like he thought that was amusing to him. We thought the hotel was great. The room was small but I guess that's what micro means.

Bed was extremely uncomfortable with not enough pillows or blankets. Couldn't get the temp right, always too hot or too cold.

Very nice hotel, but only concern is the softness of the bed. We seems to slide to the middle of the bed.

Perfect place for someone to get a good nights rest. Simple room with the basics a bed, small table and chair tv and a closet. I would stay here again if I was in the rice lake area.

We reserved a one queen bed room for the two of us, but the room was the smallest that I had been in for a long time. There was just enough room to get around the bed. There was no room to place the suitcase rack except in the bottom of the armoire. The TV was on top of the armoire. The only redeeming factor space-wise was a window seat where one could […] place luggage. If all you want is a sleeping room, this will do, but don't plan to do much else. The other aspects of the stay were good: cleanliness, comfort of bed, breakfast, personnel, etc. I just would have liked a little more room--a mediotel instead of a microtel. Les mer

The one big drawback is the size of the room, way too small. We reserved 2 rooms and none of us were happy. For that reason we will probably never stay in one again. This was our first visit to a Microtel.

Everything was very nice and clean, only feedback is that the beds were not that comfortable.

The room was very nice and we felt it was a good value for the money. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet. We weren't able to take advantage of the breakfast due to family obligations, but the breakfast area was very nice and the breakfast items all looked very good.

Booked and paid for a suite... a bit disappointed. Nothing special - 2 beds, small desk and chair, and cupboard island separating the beds!

Very friendly staff at hotel. The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. I had a great nights sleep on the bed. Better than average linens. Next to a gas station and very close to highway, so very conveinent. I will be staying here again.

nice looking from outside, carpets very worn and not very clean looking. Room looked ok. No coffee maker, tv was nice. bed sheets were clean. Under the bed sheet we found a bug. It was not a bed bug, but appeared to be some kind of larvae that was alive. I killed it and looked for bed bugs. No apparent signs of bed bugs. The bed pad under the mattress […] had what appeared to be pubic hair or dog hair on it. This gave us an uneasy feeling. It appeared to me that there is not enough help with the cleaning of the rooms and bedding. We stayed in room 375. The bathroom was clean and nice. The continental breakfast was nice. The price of the room was too high for finding a bug on the mattress. We have never seen this sort of thing before in any motel, and yes, we look for bed bug signs. This was a clean, comfortable motel - overall impression was good. Our room was rather small and the television was placed high on top of a wardrobe which made it uncomfortable to watch but it was otherwise fine.

This hotel was amazing. From the moment I walked into the lobby, there was a clean, fresh smell. The room was really comfortable and well-lit. It was close to all the restaurants, gas stations, etc. that a person could want. I give it an A+++.

The room was clean, spacious, and well maintained. However, I stayed on the second floor and the last night of my stay I was awakened at 4am by people stomping and being loud in the room above. They did not quiet down until after 5am. I would recommend staying on the third floor if you want to sleep well.

If you go here, be sure you like each other a lot! The rooms are very small with no room to relax except to sit on the bed. The tv was small and perched up high. The bed was very comfortable. If you're just there to sleep, it's ok... but for more than that, be aware that the rooms are very, very small!!!!
