The room was great with all amenities, clean and got some great views!

I will definitely not stay there because it is a timeshare 2 bedroom no service accommodation. They charge for everything including the use of the dishes.

We chose this hotel mainly for its indoor heated pool. We were told it was kept at 82 degrees, but it was freezing cold when we got in. Our family of four stayed overnight in Big Bear JUST to swim, but because the pool was too cold, we didn't get to enjoy it. The room was lovely, but we didn't enjoy our stay and probably won't stay there again.

We have stayed here several times over the years and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Only once was bad when the heat did not work in dead of winter (dec 2010) and front desk did not move us or reduce our rate. However I know that they are a bit strapped for cash given the economy. We like it because the rooms are big (but a bit dated), there is either a […] kitchenette or kitchen (so you can cook), and there is an indoor pool (open all year). What a pleasant surprise..for a last minute get-a-way!!! Fantastic, clean, nice sized studio room (Torrey Pine), comfortable for the hubby and I, didn't have to move out of his way just for him to walk by me, great view, so many amnities, which were an added bonus!! Both Fabian and Tracy at the Front Desk were extremely helpful with top-notch customer […] service. We we're so impressed with North Bay, that we booked a 'Family Vaction' in June 2012! We will be utilizing two units (known as Redwood) I can't say enough about this gated-resort...it's nice for everyone/all ages. It was my first time going through Hotels.com., Great customer service, bravo to Craig/Greg (?) for taking the time to help me find a great location, with the lowest cost at the last-minute..yay! Great place for a mountain escape. Very spacious, 1 bed with loft, 2 baths, fireplace, patio, full kitchen with dishwasher & washer dryer. Super convenient to town. Great indoor pool & hot tub, tennis courts. We could watch our daughter sledding just outside the kitchen window. Nothing fancy, but perfectly servicable. Too Many Amenities to list. Nice and Friendly Staff. Quiet and very beautiful Location.

The hotel is beautiful and cozy, but it's a little tricky to find. Mapquest and GPS sent us to the back gate, which is apparently always locked. When you get to the front gate, you have to scroll through the phone pad to intercom the front desk to open the gate for you, which is a little confusing, but other than that, the place is gorgeous. We had […] a short drive into the town center of BlueJay, where we ate dinner. It was the perfect place to get away from the city, smell clean mountain air, and see stars in the night sky. Les mer

We spent new years at lake arrowhead I will say it was a nice quiet romantic gateway, We only stayed for the weekend but they have a indoor pool and spa and also tennis courts. The only negative thing is that we got lost getting there but if you use a google map you should get there find. The room was more than expected it was like a little townhome […] it had a balcony, kitchen w/ everything you need for a nice dinner also there was a fireplace. They also had movies for you to rent I thought that was pretty nice. Overall, we enjoyed our Stay and it Will be it was memorable we highly recommend it. Les mer

This is a rental condo and not a hotel and so is not service staffed as a hotel. The indoor pool was a big draw for us but the water temp. was much too cold for winter use. The bed should have been queen size but it was only a full. The bedding was old, worn, and was the cheap stuff you see in small motels. The heater was very loud and would wake […] all of us every time it came on. There is nothing particularly wrong with the place but it is not a hotel (no service staff after closing). We came for a quick get-away and quiet in the woods. Even in the winter we were able to enjoy the small deck while in the sunshine and the jays and squirrels who visited. Our room - the small studio - still had all one needs for a very private and quiet place. The work-out room was well-equipped and in good working order...the pool inviting though we […] did not use it. The staff were most accomodating. Very good value for the price... A short drive to Bluejay and the village...an easy walk to the ALA path around the lake. We will come again. Les mer

I have rented timeshares before but this was not the best experience. AREA-very nice ROOMs- lots of stairs not a place for people with knee or feet problems and when I asked for any room even for a downgrade she said it was difficult to accommodate me. RESERVATIONS- I asked if two rooms next to each other could occur---the answer was yes and when we […] arrived ....the rooms we far apart. Nice place for two people...sofa beds are not that comfortable NO MAID SERVICE UNLESS YOU PAY FOR IT. The best thing I have to say is that the staff were friendly. These are condo-type units with a basic limited kitchenette (no cooktop). Square footage is good and there was a large deck though with no BBQ (nor are you allowed to use your own). The facility has and indoor pool and spa, pool table, lighted tennis courts, weigh room, meeting rooms. In […] general, these seemed in good shape, though the indoor pool was maybe 5 degrees too cold to be comfortable for most people. The main criticism is the amount of deferred maintenance. Our room had a barely functional sliding bathroom door, one lamp missing its knob, and obvious cheap repairs to the shower. The decor doesn't appear to have been updated since the 70's. Further, trying to get to a receptacle behind the television, we discovered several items of trash; one wonders how diligently the rooms are cleaned. I also noticed some repairs to the building's siding on the deck; again these repairs seemed shoddy. Within the hotel information book supplied to the room was a price list for every item in the room, including the book itself ($50 charge). It almost seemed to be a joke but likely wasn't. Also, there seem to be a lot of little rules noted everywhere communicated more in a commanding than a friendly way. Location-wise, the facility is in an upscale but residential area of town so you will have to briefly drive to get to restaurants, shops, and attractions. Depending on the weather, this could be inconvenient. Les mer

We arrived for check in at 7:30 PM and found access to the property locked. After 30 min we were able to get in after talking to the after hours answering service who connected us to the manager of the property. We booked the room for 4 people and the second bed was a sofa sleeper. The hours for the clubhouse was pretty limited and the various literature […] we received had conflicting information as far as hours the pool was open (it closed at 7:00 pm, which was pretty early). Access to different attractions involved a bit of driving, but as is stated on the website, if you want something that it out of the way, this is the place for you. This property has people who live here year round, as well as time share owners, so it was painfully obvious that we were only there for a few days and felt like we were intruding. Our card keys were deactivated at least an hour before check out time so we had to go to the desk to get them reactivated to get back in our room. No maid service was available unless we wanted to pay extra as this is an ownership property. A positive aspect of this was in spite the lack of convenience, the employes that we interacted with were very nice and polite. The property just seemed understaffed for a vacation destination. My wife and I stayed one night in the suite. When we opened the door, our mouths fell open. The suite was a full condo and was fully equipped with everything we needed. The décor was very nice and the completely stocked kitchen was a plus. There might not have been a view of the lake, but the view of the forest was breath taking. We did comment about […] the low flowing master bath shower, but that was the only bad thing. We would definitely stay there again. Les mer

Overall we were quite satisfied with the accommodations and friendliness of the staff. Was somewhat disappointed with the swimming and spa hours; closing at 9 p.m. Was not enough time for us to use them.

Thank you so very much for our very nice stay at you hotel. I've stsyed many places all over the world and your hotel was very pleasing right here at home in the San Bernardino Mountains. I would like stay again as guest, for a nice little get away.

I really liked this hotel it was clean, quiet, friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were large and had everything we needed. The hotel location was very close to a lot of different activities which was a big plus that I didn't have to drive everywhere and the price for the room was great. The down falls would be no AC, the beds were very uncomfortible […] and I can sleep on just about anything so that's saying a lot. There were a few spiders and bugs but I guess that comes with the area. Les mer

My husband and I spent our anniversary at North Bay Resort, Lake Arrowhead, CA., for a couple of nights and were pleasantly surprised with the nice accomodations for the studio condo there. It was clean, neat, with a kitchen area, TV lounging area, comfortable bed, fireplace and bathroom upstairs as you entered the condo. It was perfect for the two […] of us and made for a nice get -away celebration. The area was quiet and offered a spa, pool, gym and tennis courts. The NorthBay exceeded all of our expectation and met ALL of our needs, some of the biggest perks were the washer/dryer after a long day of inner tubing left my kids clothes and shoes wet and dirty. The kitchen had all the accommadations of home and was very cozy ot cook in as it over looked the fireplace. However the icing on the cake was the heated […] swimming pool and the heavenly jacuzzi to relax in after a long day out in the cold. Enjoyed one-of-a-kind experience in a studio with 20 foot high vaulted ceiling and skylights, a corner balcony in the midst of tall evergreen trees, and daytime blazing sunlight with 65 degree air temperature surrounded with two plus feet of snow. The recreational facilities are first rate with the indoor heated pool and spa with an excellent sound […] system. The studio kitchenette was necessary as there are no on premises food establishments, so the 5 minute trip to Jensens for gourmet snacks worked fine for us. Although we had noisy neighbors up at first light on Sunday, the overall stay was better than expected. Les mer

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We weren't sure of what to expect when we book this room, but this facility exceeded our expectations. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.

Nice room with everything you need. I stayed in a studio and found it very roomy and cozy. There was only two of us, but it was large enough for 4 no problem. And the room had a nice little deck with a view!

When we walked in my first reaction was "We will come back here". It was hard to find, it is a mountain community so of course it was. The Mapquest directions were unusually well detailed and got us there with one slight mis-turn, it was fine even though we arrived well after dark. I had worried because several comments in reviews mentioned this, do […] not worry at all. When we got to the address it is at a gated community, you enter through an electronic gate. There was a very well placed and readable sign indicating the address for the condos. Once inside there were several more signs, do not worry you will find it. Once inside we found a clean, cozy, warm, pleasant suite. Nice bath, great bed, pleasant living room. If you close your eyes and think of a nice mountain condo, this is what you would see. Not fancy but fine, even has a gas fireplace with electric pilot. Kitchenette with microwave, small, clean, well organized, set for 4. We stepped out on the patio and saw dark but felt peace and quiet. In the morning everything took a turn for the spectacular. My wife stepped back out on the patio and embraced a beautiful pine covered hillside. There is a hillside backyard looking down, and a view across a pine valley. My 2 year old saw the lone pine cabin and declared it to be Santa's house. It looked right. My wife watched a beautiful fox cross the yard. I stepped out to a blue jay chirping in the tree, flitting from limb to limb. I ducked back for the camera, worried I would miss it, then was rewarded by a small flock of jays who posed for me happily. We spent the day seeing Arrowhead, and across to Big Bear Lake to play in the snow, all the time wishing we had 2 nights instead of 1. It would have felt great to go back to the room for a rest then some more sightseeing. I know we will return soon, most likely with my other children and their families. I have traveled far and often but I can honestly say there are few times when a trip matched my desires so perfec Les mer

Once we found the condos we were delighted with our stay. It was like staying in a mini apartment. We stayed in the one bedroom and had a balcony, 2 televisions and a full kitchen. The bathroom was good, not luxurious, but good. We would defintely recommend the North Bay at Lake Arrowhead. I suggest if you decide to stay in this area during the summer months you check to see if the hotel has AC. This hotel did not. It was 100 degrees. For the price we paid, AC should be included. We left when the sun came up.
