Et hotell virkelig på øverste hylle. Betjeningen var eksepsjonelle og ordnet alt på et øyeblikk. Rommene var unike, sjarmerende og med personlighet. Hotellet ligger tilbaketrukket for seg selv, uten noe støy eller annet som kommer i veien, og er skjønt både på utsiden og innsiden. Hagen er jo et kapittel for seg, og er perfekt for par. Le Pigonnet has an amazing garden just in the style that I expect to see in Provence. Kind service, well maintained and very clean. The breakfast is expensive but, maybe, the quality of fruits, cheeses and bakery can justified it.

Beautiful hotel, fantastic garden, excellent service from the whole staff, michelin-level restaurant. We will be back - and next time when the pool is open.

Good location about a 5 minute ride to Le Rotonde which is the entrance to the old city. Free mini-bar nice touch.

One of the best choices in a hotel where we have stayed. The room was large with a view that was breath taking. The staff at the hotel was very accomodating with all of our requests. About a 15 minute walk to the city center, car was available if you did not want to walk. This hotel claims to have jumped from a 4* star to 5* star rating hotel however it is far from the typical 5* hotel I have stayed in. Walls and doors were paper thin and shower/bathroom was dated. It is also a good 15 minute walk from the centre of town along 2 large main roads (not so many pedestrians in the evening, making it a little scary). Lovely grounds and garden, however, rooms vary wildly and you have a very good chance of getting the type of room we refused to stay in that was located in the annex. Postage stamp size room that looked like a bad US motel. We paid for a double upgrade and got a room that hadn't been updated in years, threadbare, and furnishings that again, looked like […] a bad mix of suburban US motel from the 70s and faux provencal. We paid way too much for this type of room. We saw other charming rooms when the cleaning staff had doors open and when we inquired we were told "we are fully booked"--we had reservations, who were they saving the rooms for? What a beautiful hotel this is! We only stayed one night in this jewel box, but it was one fantastic experience. Given the opportunity, we would revisit and stay for a longer period. One of the most beautiful hotel that i stayed in my life. It is like a dream.

Great hotel to complement a beautiful location. The staff is very friendly and eager to please. The rooms are charming and well appointed. The property provides transportation into town which is a couple of miles away, a nice touch. The swimming pool and gardens are inmaculate. Very quite ambiance.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel for 5 days in early June. The Pigonnet is immaculate, staff are very helpful and friendly (English or French are no problems), the room was comfortable, well appointed (free mini-bar), with maid service twice daily for fresh towels, etc. The grounds and gardens are beautiful and relaxing and the heated pool was a […] bonus on cooler days. One of the best meals during our trip to France was there. The hotel is a 15 minute from the bustle of central Aix, but they will shuttle you there and the walk back, especially after a big meal, is sometimes appreciated. a very nice and pleasant hotel. a bit far (1 km) from the city center but that's really not such a big deal. The facility is well maintained, helpful staff, great breakfast. didn't get a chance to try the pool but looks promising and placed in a beautiful garden.

The gardens and terrace for dining are beautiful. A restful, quiet spot, 5-10 min walk to center of Aix. Would not hesitate to recommend or return. 30-45 min drive from MRS airport. Secure parking lot gratis.

We thought we had died and gone to heaven. The room was spacious, clean, and tasteful. The restaurant, and the breakfast room , were extremely good. Very good choice of foods etc. Staff were right on the ball. Altogether a great experience.

Hotel Le Pigonnet is a excellent place to stay while visiting the Aix-en-Provence area. It is a 10-15 minute walk from the city center and offers a very pleasant refuge when returning to the hotel. Room was on the smaller side but very pleasing and the bed and bedding luxurious. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The Pigonnet hotel was more than we anticipated. The location is better than staying near the old quarter. At the same time, it's proximity to everything by foot is ideal. A real class act!!!

Close to center of aix with beautiful gardens. But they were painting the inside of the hotel and the rooms reeked of paint fumes. When we asked for another room we were told there was nothing they could do. They were very unhelpful and unsympathetic. Outstanding hotel. Everything about it was total class in every way. The staff, rooms, bathrooms, garden, all were top shelf. It would the best choice you have made to stay here. Probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in either 4 or 5 star.

Our stay at Hotel Pigonnet was lovely, and the staff was very friendly. The 10-minute walk to the historic city center was easy and it gave us the opportunity to explore without having to worry about parking a car. The only issue we had was that new directional signs were being hung right outside our door as we tried to nap, but the banging and drilling […] didn't last long. Les mer

This hotel is physically one of the most beautiful I've encountered, as my tastes go--it's a perfectly cared for, updated historic property with beautiful gardens, a long driveway that sets it back from the university neighborhood and the largest bathroom I've encountered in France so far. Large and nicely appointed. The sleeping room was furnished […] with antiques, Provencal fabrics, beautiful molding and carpets--plus a modern TV and internet connection. But what I really liked was that the elegance of the hotel was not ruined by a snooty staff--the staff is warm and helpful and ... apparently happy to be working in such a well run hotel. The restaurant is worth visiting in and of itself and seems to be popular with the local population for special dinners. Chef de cuisine Durand chef has prepared a menu that kept me from bothering with any other restaurants in Aix-en-Provence the two nights I stayed. It was great to return from sight seeing and know that I could wander down to the dining room and have turbot with sauteed "horse chestnuts" and a lemon foam....or just a cup of tea by the fire in one of the nooks between dining rooms. I also enjoyed afternoon tea on the peaceful terraces, even though the weather wasn't exactly toasty. Autumn is a great time to visit because there are no crowds and the temperature is still fine for just a sweater or a light jacket. I can't emphasize enough what a relaxing place Hotel Le Pigonnet is. It is charming, charming, charming and so are the intelligent and helpful people who work there. Kudos to them all. Les mer

We had chosen this hotel based on a Fodor's choice recommendation and the great price that was offered through Hotels.com. It was great. A charming small hotel with a beautiful garden (probably over an acre in size). The room and bath were a nice size and done in understated Provencal decor. The location was only a ten minute walk from the Rotunda fountain […] and the Cours Mirabeau.They also provided a common computer with free internet access. The only slight draw back was that their beautiful restaurant, which opened onto the garden, was just average for both food and service, but we obviously did not have to eat there. Hotel was excellent. The privacy of the grounds excellent. We were very tired and Aix is a very busy, noisy city. To have great resturant at the hotel is a plus. Service and staff top notch.

We stayed overnight at the end of our holiday, to visit Aix en Provence and do some shopping. What a pity our visit was so short because the hotel was delightful in every respect. It is set in its own large grounds, only 10 - 15 minutes walk away from the town centre and there is ample parking space. The hotel is richly furnished with ornate and […] antique pieces and colourful rugs. The large dining room leads into an attractive al fresco dining area and one of the most enchanting hotel gardens I have seen - shaded walkways, fountains and statues, lots of greenery and flowers and variousplaces to sit and relax. There is also a swimming pool and pleasant sunbathing area with a small bar and helpful waiter service. Towels are provided, and quickly replenished when new visitors arrive in the pool area. Our standard double room was comfortable and well furnished. The ensuite bathroom was large and immaculately clean. Breakfast, whilst not cheap, was both plentiful and varied . We opted to have our evening meal at the hotel and, whilst quite expensive, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The waiting staff were helpful, the food was excellent and attractively served. We definitely intend returning next year for a longer stay. Les mer

hotel un peu "dans son jus" mériterai un ravalement pour justifier ... 4 etoiles .personnel accueillant , bon petit dejeuner , salle de restaurant et terrasses très agréables. emplacement un peu loin du centre necessitant véhicule pour aller centre ville

O lugar é bonito. O quarto nem tanto. Mas era confortável e com bom banheiro, WIFI grátis. Excelente café da manhã. Serviço simpático. Localizado ligeiramente fora do centro e silencioso.

il est étonnant qu'un Hotel 5 etoiles puissent avoir des chambres aussi petites un grand lit avec un passage autour ..... la "vue Jardin" de celle ci étant le parking en partie arboré. Très bel hotel avec un personnel de qualité. La seule note négative est l'isolation phonique de la chambre. On entend les personnes marcher dans le couloir, le téléphone portable dans la chambre d'à côté, etc... Ce n'est pas ce que l'on se doit d'attendre d' un hotel 5 étoiles.

Chique hotel, met ontspannen sfeer, met name door de zeer mooie tuin. Goede service door fijn personeel. Kamer viel wat tegen door luidruchtige en slecht werkende (oude) airco die de kamer niet koel genoeg kreeg alsmede door de aanwezigheid van schimmel aan de douchedeur van het douche/ligbad. Gratisparkeren was prima, gratis internet gaf problemen […] en was niet in te stellen met iphone/ipad. Prijs/kwaliteit was goed. Les mer

Das Hotel selbst war ziemlich alt und die Zimmer entsprechend. Haben zwei Nächte dort verbracht jedoch kaum die Infrastruktur des Hotels genutzt. Pool war sehr voll und Liegen waren knapp. Dafür alles wunderschön im Garten. Restaurant sah nett aus von aussen, probiert haben wir's jedoch nicht, da es nicht ganz unseren Vorlieben entsprach, was jedoch […] mehr mit unserem Geschmack als mit der Qualität des Restaurants. Alles in allem ein nettes Hotel, das den Preis nicht ganz wert ist aus unserer Sicht. Vor allem die Zimmer entsprechen weder von der Grösse noch von der Ausstattung her dem erwarteten Standart. Ein Hotel mit 4 oder 5 Sternen ohne Save auf dem Zimmer scheint irgendwie aus dem letzten Jahrhundert. Wäre da nicht der Hotel-Garten, würde das Urteil wohl noch kritischer ausfallen. Les mer

Das Hotel besticht durch seinen wunderschönen, großzügig angelegten Garten, schöner Pool mit bequemen,immer ausreichenden Liegen und frischen Handtüchern.Idyllisches Frühstück auf der Terrasse zu genießen mit ausreichender Auswahl . Zuvorkommendes freundliches Personal, das auch gut Englisch spricht. Das Zentrum von Aix in 15 Min zu Fuß zu erreichen. Einziges […] Minus das Badezimmer, das sicher nicht einem Topstandard entspricht, aber immer frische Handtücher, manchmal auch 2x tgl. Wir würden das Hotel sofort wieder buchen. Les mer

Der Garten des Hotels ist wunderschön, auch die Ruhe für ein Stadthotel ist bemerkenswert. Ins Zentrum der Stadt dauert es nur ca. 10-15 Minuten zu Fuss. Sehr ansprechendes Frühstücksbuffet! Grundsätzlich ist das Hotel empfehlenswert. Das Restaurant ist zwar nicht ganz billig, aber sehr hochwertig. Der Aussenpool war leider nicht in Betrieb.
