Lovers Key Resort - Fort Myers Beach

We loved this place. View is spectacular. Didnt care for flippers. Room awesome.

This is a perfect hide-a-way - all you need - Gulf and River view great food - bar - full Condo - we are hooked for the perfect time away - park your car and forgeet about life for a while.....

The room was very old and worned looking and could use an update. Not a lot of people staying there, so it was fairly quiet. Flipper was very nice and we liked the menu. The view was really nice. Was able to keep the room until later in the day because we had a evening flight home. We paid for it but it was nice we could take advantage of the room until […] we had to leave. Les mer

Our stay at Lovers Key Resort was Great!. We picked the perfect time of the year. The beach was at walking distance, the pool temperature was perfect and the food at the bar called flipper right next to the pool was unbelievable!

We have friends a couple of miles away, was perfect location and accomadations, great view and staff! Only concern was no hand grip getting in/out of tub/shower, other than that perfect!

We couldn't have been happier, Lovers Key Resort was great.Hope to go again.

We had a great time here... clean, courteous, etc. My only recommedation for enhancement is the continental breakfast could of had more variety

hotel was clean ,nicely located and the views of the gulf and estero were to die for.. would highly reccommend this hotel. fitness room was spotless and very nice machines. nice places to eat on bonita beach road. a great weekend stay

THIS WAS A GREAT PLACE TO STAY AND THE PRICE WAS GREAT ALSO.

With a name like Lovers Key Resort we had very high expectations. We expected to see some "extras" that made our stay a little more memorable. Room was clean and adequate. Pool was very cold even though it was advertised as heated. This is really a very typical hotel that based on accomodations was a little high priced. We were surprised at how nice it was with a few of the Bay and Guff from our room - perfect get -a-way.. It is a keeper and will will go there again....

The location is beautiful, but a little walk to the gulf beach. Flippers restaurant is wonderful! Nice pool, great location close to beaches and wonderful restaurants. We would stay here again.

Had a great stay for our little end of summer getaway. Room was clean and comfy. Kids said the sofa bed was uncomfortable but they had a great time.

This place is perfect for couples, family's or a guy's fishing trip place to launch boat close by and place to put trailer. rooms have full kitchens super clean a nice continental breakfast every morning real nice deck bar and grill poolside food was awesome staff very friendly and fun. A lot of locals pulled up on their boats to eat which tells you […] something in it self and Lovers key beach is beautiful !! stayed in a lot of hotels thru out Florida in my top 5 if you have a small fish boat or waverunner a must stay and say hello to Flipper he's everywhere !!! The hotel felt more like a condo, very welcoming and comfortable. The restaurant was amazing! The only downfall is that there is no beach, you have to drive to the nearby beaches. Great experience!

This resort was absolutely beautiful, great view from our room, nice 24 hr gym, restaurant caters to certain food allergies and its right across from the lovers key state park and secluded from the noise of the down town fort Myers beach. My only issue with the hotel was that they have no policy against suggestive physical behavior in their pool area […] at any time of the day. We arrived to find 2 female couples kissing in the pool, touching each-others private parts, wrapping their legs around each other and drinking. They were in the pool for several hrs, so we could not come down. This is completely unacceptable to me and should not be pool side behavior for anyone regardless of your preferences. So if you are a family that does not like this type of display please make sure you make your preference noted to the hotel staff and ask them if they will condone such behavior during your stay. Thankfully the rowdy female couples checked out the next morning and that was the last we saw of them. After that it was great. Les mer

This resort is very clean and has complimentary breakfast each day of your stay. The only downfall was that the hot tub wasn't "hot" 2 of the 4 days we were there. They put in a service call, but it wasn't fixed before we left. The resort has a very nice pool and restaurant onsite. NOT very pleased. initially was given the bottom floor located right above the 4 running pool filters which could be heard loudly inside room. Being a light sleeper asked front desk clerk how long they ran and she stated ''round the clock''. I expressed it was a special weekend and she stated she only had 1 room in whole hotel left and moved us up 1 […] floor. BIG deal. Still could hear pool filters but minimal however this room had a knocking to a/c unit and a squeaky bedroom fan, & no tub_ just shower.. Told again resort to capacity. However during our entire stay there was never more then 12 cars in entire parking lot. Also ft meyers health inspectors had closed the jacuzzi tub poolside due to health concerns w/ a sign strapped to banister. Several bee nests attached to rock waterfall at pool and bees floating continously along water edges made me very nervous because I'm allergic to bees. Ground help said bees not an issue- I beg to differ. While I have stayed hear before, I probably would choose another resort in the future... customer service should be a must!! Les mer

Not only is Lovers Key Resort a top notch condo resort, but its location gives you the feel that you truely are on a vacation. No crush of people, quiet, beautiful surroundings, and the staff is the best. This place if for couples who want to get away from all the kids 'stuff' and be with an adult community. Will be back (and may rent for a few months […] in the winter!). Plus, Flippers restaurant is great. This is not a party resort, so don't go there if that is what you are expecting. The service was excellent, great gym, totally pleased with the room - the view? AMAZING! Try to get the Northwest corner if you can: Great sunsets and literally count the dolphins and manatees all day long!! The restaurant was beachy and yummy - You must try the "bucket of fun" by the pool! PRIVATE BEACH - SO WONDERFUL!! Other than some poorly parented […] children by the pool the first day - poolside was perfect. Cross the street to the state park, tram takes you to the beach - absolutely a days worth. Room has nice appearance and amenities, but "resort" is basically a condo. Exercise facilities are minimal, pool does not have food/drink service (rules state that food and drink not permitted on pool deck or in pool), and there is no restaurant or bar. Adjacent to the "resort" is their outdoor restaurant with a good bar menu (and accessible by boat). […] However, during our stay it was closed for "a couple of days" for "unforeseen reasons" (company line when we asked) and the workers were scrubbing, mopping, and wiping the place from floor to ceiling. We cannot really know why... but this also makes me concerned about the nice 'appearing' room. Management was very defensive and not accommodating because of the closing of the only on-site food/drink. FL has plenty of actual resorts so please find one of the many that do provide proper services. Les mer

Great quiet location! This is perfect for quiet getaway far from the loud obnoxious areas. If you want to be near the action go towards heart of Fort Myers Beach but be prepared for crowds and wall to wall people on the beach. Great pool and restaurant/bar! Room was great as always! No problems at all. A great place tucked away from busy area/ Lovers […] Key beach area down the road and across the street if you want a beach. No complaints! Les mer

Wife and I went to get out of the snow at the last minute. Met by a very friendly staff who allowed us to check in a few hours early. We were on the 7th floor. Suite had full glass windows form floor to ceiling. Funiture and decore was updated. Had a beautiful view of the bay, Lovers Key state park, and a distance view of the gulf. Pool was heated with […] a nice hot tub. On site Flippers reasturant had great food. Lots of places to eat, shop, and walk all with in 10 to 15 minutes away. Excellent up scale place to stay. If you did not know it you would think you were at the Ritz.. Would stay again!!! Les mer

First time in the state of Florida and we were not dissapointed. The resort was everything we expected and more. The facility is well maintained and the staff is very helpfull. The workout facilities were above average as well as the Pool and Spa. Breakfast was perfect every morning. The location was beautiful, just the right distance from Ft Myers […] Beach. Although the hotel is farther from most restaurants, it is a wonderful place to stay! Saw dolphins and manatees from the pool area, and from our room. Lover's Key State Park is a must see.....fabulous beach...great shells!

11 & 7 yr old do not like salt water, so pool and bay beauty was perfect. Pool beautiful and jacuzzi very nice. Kids loved waterfall in pool. Very quiet. None of the "party" atmosphere on North Fort Myers beach. Restaurant right there. Beach/Pool towels provided. Really nice exercise room. Ridiculous good deal. Kitchen fully equipped. Breakfast included. […] Nice bathroom with jacuzzi tub. Lots of privacy from kids. Nice balcony with table & chairs. Grandparents on south end of Fort Myers beach so good location for us. Easy access to Rt 41 and naples. No internet access, but just got iphone, so this was no problem. Do have business center so we could print things out. Best place and best deal we have ever had in Fort Myers Beach area. When I think that we stayed at Outrigger for same price... Linens nice and not cheesy like outrigger. Decor nice. Just very relaxing over all. Wish they did have slightly updated televisions so we could plug in external DVD. Les mer

My husband and I stayed at Lovers Key Resort for our anniversary in November 2010. We had the best time! We had the upgraded luxury suite and it was worth every penny! We could cuddle on the couch and watch out the floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room. Drinking our coffee on the private balcony was AMAZING! We saw dolphins and tons of manatees […] and birds of all kinds. It is a short drive down to Lovers Key State Park where we went kayaking in the Estero River and Bay. We literally ran over a manatee in the water - it was AWESOME! The waterfront restaurant "Flippers" was casual and great for dining by the water! We drove down to the pier (quite a ways down) and saw all the lights down Estero Blvd. We went down the shops and bars and walked the beach in the moonlight. It was so romantic and an overall wonderful experience. Do it!!! You'll be glad you did. Les mer

The resort was just perfect for a weekend getaway or an extended stay as it was as spacious as a one bedroom apt. The resort is located just before you reach the main busy beach areas and you are close enough to enjoy the local businesses when you choose. The Staff was pleasant and helpful at both the resort and on site restaurant.

We have stayed at this hotel several times before. It has been 4 years since our last visit. We were happy to see that the quality of the resort had not changed. Although not on the beach, Lover's Key State Park is a stones throw away. The setting is serene and private and there are many dining options nearby. We have always been treated well by the […] staff. The staff is always willing to help you and make you feel special. Les mer

This was just an over night stay for us for our anniversary---but we loved it! More than breathtaking views from our balcony. We enjoyed watching the dolphins and the sunset from there. Next time we will bring the kids and do some kayaking! Also, we had steak and shrimp for dinner from the restaurant(Flippers). It was great!

We had a fantastic time at the resort. I made the mistake of thinking it was on the beach, so I missed out on the sunsets from the balcony. That said... The views of the bay were amazing!

Being off-season, the hotel and surrounding area was virtually empty and so peaceful. The view from our up-graded hotel suite was breathtaking. We were able to watch Manattee and Porpoise swimming just below our private balcony. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we would without a doubt return to Lovers Key Resort.
