Fort Marcy Hotel Suites - Santa Fe

Little walk (9-10min) from the plaza. Great pool. Nice backyard, very relax. I recommend it.

Great location, close to main plaza and all shops. Everything is within walking distance.

Had we paid full price, we'd have been sorely disappointed - our unit, while clean and functional, was in serious need of updating, had not much of a view (except of the condos in front of it) and was generally unremarkable. The 50 - 60% off room rate may be correct, but I hope in the same sense similar "half and more off" mattress sales that go on […] all year are correct - it just moved the price into the "fair value" neighborhood, as opposed to a "real deal". The location was reasonably convenient for walking (much better going downhill into town, not surpringly, than making the return journey uphill), the staff was helpful and professional, and Santa Fe was a delight. We'll be making a return visit to the town, but probably will try different accommodations when we do. Think an older, Residence Inn type establishment, and you'll have the basic idea for what to expect. Les mer

Very uncomfortable bed, should have slept on the sofas! Room not serviced. Ants in the kitchen aand bathroom. Bathroom too small for most people, w.c. area was very cramped.

We've stayed at the Fort Marcy condos more times than we can count. The trick here is to find a condo you like and request it, as the condition of the condos varies widely. They are individually owned, so you find condos that have been re-furbished and upgraded and others where the baths and kitchens really need some help. We've stayed in both and now […] have our favorite that we request on our multiple trips per year to Santa Fe. We always stay in a two bedroom with a really nice view of the night lights of town. Except during super busy times, such as the summer markets, the FM tends to be quiet. It is an easy walk down to The Plaza and only five minutes from Ten Thousand Waves, a wonderful Japanese spa. In recent years, the front desk service has gotten much friendlier than it used to be, however, on this last visit there was a little back sliding with the clerk fairly uninterested in helping us and way too liberal with the word "no". We have stayed at Ft Marcy before - and will keep coming back. It is quiet, convenient for walking to the square and I feel maybe cleaner than the average hotel.

The hotel is like something out of the 80's, with old furniture that I might have used in college.The second bedroom's bed mattress was as hard as a rock.They didn't give any services, including no cleaning services unless you stay there a week or more.I've been in timeshares better equip than this, with better furnishings,etc.

Our stay here was completely satisfactory. The staff was friendly, helpful and informative; the condo was lovely, spacious and located in a great spot -- up above the city hubbub, but close to both a park and downtown. The care the owners of this unit took in renovating and decorating it definitely adds to the pleasure of staying here.

very nice! Had to carry travel bags a ways to our room. This was hard. Request a room a little more convenient. The room was lovely.

We rented a two bedroom condo. It was plenty spacious for our young family of five. The kids loved the pool and we had a great view of the sunset each night. The unit was clean, tastefully decorated in the Santa Fe style, and roomy. These are individual units. Our unit was very comfortable for two couples with everything we needed for a three nights stay. The location is an easy walk to the plaza area and lots of restaurants. The place was exceptionally clean with comfy beds.

Our suite was clean, quiet and very well equipped, but we orderd a crib with our booking and we could not find anything that looks like a crib in our room. We checked in via phone and got our keys from a locked box and no manager was availible either somerbody who can show us or bring the crib.

We stayed at Fort Marcy the first weekend of March to ski. Great location to get up the mountain. It is a little difficult to find at night if not familiar with the area. The parking was not close to our condo, but the unit was so nice that we did not mind. The kitchen was well appointed and the unit furnished well. Great place just wish they had maid service daily to care for room

While categorized as a hotel suite, this was actually a condo with full kitchen and dining area, limited only by the small but adequate refrigerator. The open living area with loveseat and additional seating provided cable television and dvd player with a few movies and was cozy and well-appointed. The separate bedroom with good-sized closet and additional […] storage was clean and the bed was comfortable with additional heavy blankets provided for those cold nights. Even informational, reality-based and fictional reading material by local writers was provided. Maps of the area, suggested restaurants and recommended in-town sites and day trip information was available. While there was only a shower, this was adequate for our needs. In-room laundry facilities were not available but were on-site. No pool or work-out facility was on-site, but a local pay-per-use public pool and gym were recommended. Though not readily located without GPS, a map or familiarity with Santa Fe, the property is lovely and naturally landscaped with native plants, located on an acreage on the side of a hill. This facility requires walking outdoors for some distance and climbing steps to get to most units. Parking is limited and street parking may be closer to some rentals. This may be problematic for some visitors with disabilities or health issues, particularly if they are not accustomed to the high altitudes. I did not note a play area for children, though it may have been at another location on the property. Lighting at night could have been improved for tenant safety and icy, sloping sidewalks in some areas made it difficult to get to our unit in the dark when we first arrived. Though a moderate walk to the Plaza and other recommended sites, the suites were conveniently located and private. Visitors who do not expect to use a car, should be in relatively good health and able to walk on some unlevel and relatively steap streets and paths for 2-4 miles/day. Went for a long weekend with my adult children. Chose the condos , because of the size . So glad I did. . So much space and necessary since we are all on different sleep and eat schedules . Perfect location for everything ... I walked to the plaza ... Son caught a ride to and from ski area... Daughter drove to wherever ... And we all easily caught up […] with each other by end of day. Games, books, firewood ,kitchen items, supplied and we had enough room and convenience to delay any of that family tension till the crowded plane ride home.:) The condos were hard to find the first time ... It was late and dark and tricky ... Very twilight zone ... But only finding it the first time in the dark . Catch the farmers market on a Saturday , and flea market both days ... Both fantastic. This is an excellent place to stay to see the sights and sounds of Sante Fe. It is in walking distance to shopping, dining, muesums, and the governors mall. At the same time it is tucked away in a peaceful, restful neighborhood. An awesome place to get a restful yet fun filled vacation.

Found the place to be well-appointed and comfortable- like an apartment you could live in. Well-stocked kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, coffee machine, toaster and much more. Big comfortable bed and a nice, clean bathroom. No maid service is offered here, but that was not a drawback for us.

Love love love Fort Marcy! This is our second stay here & they arranged for us to have the same room. The staff is extremely nice, the location is 10 minutes from the spa//Ten Thousand Waves and it's very quiet! We will be back next year!

This was a very nice place to stay. Very close to the Plaza, easy to get to anywhere I needed to go. It was not a "destination" in itself, so much, but it was a nice place to sleep at night while I was visiting Santa Fe during the day.

Fort Marcy advertises as a Hotel. They are actually codos. The condo had two bedrooms and two full baths upstairs. Full kitchen with a Kive fireplace in the livingroom. Only four blocks to the square. It was a very nice walk. I can't wait to go back to Santa Fe and stay at Fort Marcy anytime. Beautiful

The room was exactly what we were looking for! Easy access to the ski resort from this locations. Staff is friendly. No complaints!

Just returned from Santa Fe and a four night stay at the Fort Marcy Hotel Suites. Last visit there was several years ago. Our unit was VERY updated and clean (78), and our friend's unit was also nice, but seemed a bit older (69). Our unit only had a King size bed, so beware if travelling with children as most websites state that the rooms have a sofa-bed. […] Unit 69 can sleep four, but not unit 78 (unless you all pile in the King size bed)! The suite was in terrible state of disrepair. The skylight was leaking and we notified the front desk, but nothing was done. The leaking became worse then next day and we decided to leave mid-week. The tiles were lose on the floor, the throws were dirty, neither TV controller worked. The front room controller didn't work at all, and the bedroom worked, […] but the battery cover wouldn't stay on The decor was from the 70's and the kitchen stove and bath area were not up-to-date. The bathtub was scratched and dirty looking. The heat was uneven with the bedroom being very warm and the living room being cold. I do not recommend the one-bedroom suites. I was told that the two-bedrooms are newer, but after our experience, we did not want move to another room and left the hotel and moved to another hotel, which was very comfortable. Les mer

Our 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath unit at Fort Marcy was perfect for our family of 5. (2 adult kids and a teenager) It is more of a condo than a hotel, so there was plenty of space for everyone. And I LOVED having a fireplace! The staff was courteous and helpful the few times we needed them. The only thing that some people might not find agreeable is that the […] place is pretty dated. That was no problem for us. Our unit was in great shape, just kind of 80's. We were there for Christmas, which is magical in Santa Fe. Fort Marcy is conveniently located and very quiet. Very easy drive to the plaza or grocery store. It was quite cold so we drove and had no trouble parking near plaza. If it had been warmer we would have walked. We would definitely stay at Fort Marcy again. Les mer

The suite was clean and nice but when we arrived into the suite it was very hot. We were not told that the a/c unit was turned off at the breaker box. So after hunting around the suite we located the breaker box and turned the breaker on for the a/c and the suite finally cooled down to desired temperature. Mom, boyfriend & I all stayed at the Fort Marcy in a suite over Thanksgiving week. It worked out well with two bathroom and two bedrooms and a common living area. Plenty of space for all of us! Thanks! Beth from Ca.

Could not ask for a better place to stay in Santa Fe. Unit 57 was exceptional. Will definately stay there again.

We stayed in a one-bedroom suite which for a couple is perfect. The suite was very nice - very comfortable and had everything we needed for our two night stay. The indoor heated pool was nice on a cold November night. The location, with its proximity to the plaza area, was fantastic - and it is across the street from a park that has a trail to the Cross […] of the Martyrs, which was very nice. Had some difficulty getting into the after-hours safe for a key, but a security guard came by and helped us get the staff on the phone. If you book through Hotels.com, be sure to call ahead and get the code to the safe before you get there, if you'll be arriving late. Very pleased with the room and views. This place is hard to check in if you come late. They put your key in the security box, but don't send you direction. We found it out how to get a key from a kind guest. We booked a King size bed room, but it was queen size bed, which is old and makes squeaking noise. The most uncomfortable bed I ever tried in my travel experience. Hot warter runs out […] in the middle of taking a bath druing night and early morning. We were expecting a special experience, but it's not worth the amount charing you. We would rather stay in chain hotel for more comfortable stay. Very very disappointed. Les mer

We like to stay at Ft. Marcy because it is conveniently located to the Plaza, to the ski area, the opera, and everything in between plus we like to have the option of a kitchen so we can make a simple meal and the option of more than one bathroom so I can spread out my cosmetics and my husband can have his own space. Each condo is decorated differently […] so we recommend coming back again and again because each stay feels like you are in a new place! Les mer

The one bedroom condo was spacious, clean and comfortable. The complex is older, but well maintained. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything anyone would possibly need. The hotel is in a great location just up the hill from the plaza. We enjoyed our stay!

I would not call this a hotel. If you have a family and need an apartment feel that could be in any city in the world then go for it. Definitely not a romantic type getaway. Better deals around for the price.

I've stayed at Fort Marcy twice, both times in the same condo (totally random!), and I will always stay at this hotel on future visits to Santa Fe. I love the location, set high up on the hill, and I love the quiet neighborhood. It's so nice to be able to spread out and enjoy the kitchen and living room, in addition to the large and comfortable bedroom. […] My only complaint is that I couldn't figure out the wifi right away, and walking to the main office at 9 p.m., found it shut up for the night, with no one to talk to about my small problem. Found peace and quiet in a very active city. Units at the top of the hill made us feel as though we could reach out and touch the clouds. Next time will stay a month vs 3 days.

The condos at the hotel were perfect for our stay in Santa Fe, NM. The location was not too far from downtown, but a little too far to walk. There were several resturants and shops a short drive from the hotel. I would stay there again.

Our accomodations for our one week stay were very nice. We had plenty of room and it was clean and comfortable. The location is close to everything in the area whether you dorve or walked. However, the advertized internet connection worked only infrequently, wnich turned out to be an inconvenience.
