Vi trivdes godt på dette hotellet, som ligger i et område hvor romerne selv bor. Hotellet ligger i en rolig gate og vi sov godt med åpne vindu. Personalet var hyggelige og behjelpelige.

Det var herlig å sove foran åpent vindu og så var det helt stille. Ikke til å tro at vi var i en millionby. det er verdt å ta trikken 4 stopp for å bo på Villa Glori ! Alt var helt superbra, savnet kun badekar og grovt brød :)

Det viktigste først: Hotellet er helt ok, og funker fint for en helg. Rommet vårt var lite men rent. Litt for hard seng etter vår smak, men greitt likevel. Området rundt er veldig stille, og det ligger en pizzarestaurant rett over gata. Fant ingen matbutikker i nærheten, dog en fruktbutikk og en liten coop med noen varer rett over gata. Hotellet […] ligger et lite stykke fra sentrum, men trikken går 100m unna, så det er uproblematisk. For å komme deg fra termini (sentralstasjonen), gå rett ned på metro linje A og dra til Flaminio. Rett utenfor metroen her går trikk 2 mot hotellet, 4. stoppet fra Flaminio (Flaminio er endestopp). Kjøp 3-dagerspass e.l. Det er helt OK trådløst nett på hotellet, koster seks euro. Hvis du husker å logge av vil du kunne bruke det i 48t. Ellers tar de seks euro for en times lån av datamaskin med nett. Frokosten var grei nok, hygienisk, rundstykker og loff, skinke, salami og ost. Gratis cappuchino/espresso om du spør. Hotellet er definitivt ikke 4 stjerner, men mer enn greit nok for ei helg. Kunne godt bodd her igjen. Les mer

Villa Glori ligger bare 3 holdeplasser med trikken fra sentrum i et stille boligområde. Koselige restauranter hvor lokalbefolkninger spiser rett i nærheten. Små rom, men greit bad og seng. Kort sagt det du trenger for noen dager i Roma. Alle snakket godt engelsk. Men stol ikke blindt på drosjesjåførene, vi hadde en som kjørte en lang omvei. Short summary: The hotel is located outside the citycenter. The service was good, the bed was really hard, and the bathroom was nice. There is a tram 1 minute from the hotel. The tram is easy to use and takes you to the city, or to the metro, which is also easy to use. Both the tram and the metro departes regulary with short timeintervalls.

Hotellet ligger i ei kjempestille bakgate, gangavstand til shopping-gata Via del Corsa og enkelte mindre severdigheter. Det gikk også fint å gå til Peterskirken, men vi valgte taxi til Colosseum dagen etter, - mest for å spare tid. Hotellet fremsto tilsynelatende nyoppusset, og rommet vårt hadde massasje/ boblebad og var ellers helt greit. Det vi savnet […] var bord og stoler (var kun skrivepult og en stol på rommet), men det var mange små oppholdsrom rundt resepsjonen vi sikkert kunne brukt, og vi tenker slike møbler kanskje ble byttet ut med ei seng, siden vi hadde bestilt trippelrom. Vi er ikke i tvil; vi velger samme hotell om vi igjen reiser til Roma. Et lite tips om du bor på Villa Glori og skal ta taxi hjem; husk å oppgi Via Vignola som "hjemgate", og ikke hotellets adresse, for det er bare en liten bakgate til Via Vignola som ingen kjenner til, - og ja, den er så liten og så stille og fredelig som bildet på hotellets hjemmeside gir uttrykk for. Dette var et veldig greit hotell. Rommet var noe lite, men det var rent, velholdt og pent. Vi hadde ikke frokost inkludert, men det lå et par hyggelige restauranter i området hvor man kunne nyte god mat. Det eneste som trakk ned, var at det lå et lite stykke unna sentrum. We had a great stay except that the WiFi was out the whole time we were there. The staff was good at communicating this. When I told Nicolas in the morning that I would need to use their computer when I returned later that night, he said he would arrange it. We got back so late that the third person was on duty and was unaware of the promise. He said […] "No, and we don't have second computer", actually semi-rude (I knew there was a second computer because had been told that was the one that I could use. I was able to use iot the next day to book a Milan hotel for that night but it was a bit stressful. Otherwise, all the rooms are small (I knew this before based upon reveiws), the stay was fine and the location right near the tram to Piazza del Popolo was great. Les mer

DO NOT DRIVE RENTAL CAR IN THIS AREA!! The streets are so narrow, many one-way, you might have to fight tickets because it's a restricted area (although tourists are allowed to drive there, tickets are automatically sent to all license plates). Did over 400E worth of damage to rental car trying to get to the hotel. Arrived after 2am and the man was […] very nice and even parked our car for us and took us to our room. The hotel is in the middle of town but thats all it has going for it. The rooms are tiny and the bath rooms are tinnier. Unless your going to stay by yourself don't book this. The staff are all not accommodating so thats not much of a help too.

Villa Glori is a lovely little hotel on the edge of Rome. The staff were friendly and helpful (advising us not to buy the queue jump ticket for the vatican museum for example, even though they'd make some more money from it!) and breakfast was a good spread. There isn't a great deal around in the local neighbourhood as it's quite residential, but it's […] about a 20minute walk to the edge of the sights, 30minutes to the Vatican and about an hour to walk to the Colosseum, but for those who don't like to walk you can get a tram or bus too. Overall a good hotel with nice friendly staff. Room was a bit small but I have stayed in smaller and paid more money. The location is close enough to main tourist attractions, but it takes a bit of getting use to the Tram - Train service so check it out before you arrive. Location / area does not look very nice at first glance but there are a few nice […] nice places to eat and, also a couple of bars close by. Hotel and location not very suitable for young children. Hotel extremly freindly and certainly make you welcome, but with only a minimal breakfast and not a lot of food locations, you need to travel to get somthing to eat. No coffee making facilities in teh room. This is rated at 4 star, realisitically a fair 3 star would be more of a rating

The hotel is situation just 2 mins walk from the T2 tram station which in turn is 4 stops from the Flaminio Station and the tram was quite frequent. This was very convenient to getting to the various places. The hotel is very clean and well maintained, and the rooms were quite spacious. The bathrooms were adequately equipped and very clean. We stayed […] there for 4 nights and there was room service every day though the sheets were changed only one day...i gues that would be the norm.The breakfast was included, it was good but not a proper continental as you would expect. The area around the hotel is quite safe but there is nothing to see around the hotel. The reception was quite helpful with the queries. Very convenient once one figures out to take the #2 tram to P.zza del Popolo. Nice room, well kept hotel, efficient staff, excellent breakfast, nice upscale and quiet neighborhood close to the Parco della Musica concert facility. Highly recommended for all.

This hotel is a lovely quiet retreat yet only a very short tram from Piazza del Popolo. If you are staying on business or for a very short trip the restaurants and bars around are great quality so no need to go central if you do not have time. But you are 10 mins from via del Corso etc. As some of the reviews have stated, the rooms are very small and […] so is the elevator. But first of all, everything is there that you need, decor and furniture of high quality and neatly arranged and how much time do you spend in the room anyway? Many. many hotel rooms in e.g. Amsterdam and Paris are considerably smaller so do not let this put you off. Wifi is free, but the only irritating thing is that the lower-floor rooms' reception to wifi is poor and in my case non-existent so I had to go to reception to use wifi. Only perhaps a problem if you are travelling on business, so ask for a higher-floor room. Otherwise if you are on holiday, stay off the internet and enjoy Rome! Les mer

For what we paid for this hotel and what we were reading about hotels in Italy we were not expecting much and were pleasantly surprised. The room was more like what I expect form an american hotel but not quite as big. Very well kept and fancy. It is not in the center of rome but it is really easy to get to and not far at all. Would definitely recommend […] this hotel and will return. The hotel gives directions on arriving via monorail note that they do not announce the stops on the monorail so it is the first stop after the monorail turns. After you exit you cross the park by going around the back of the monorail then it is just one block the the right and then one to the left. Good breakfast included staff speaks english. Les mer

The hotel is bit far from center but not very far. Tram from flaminio will take 5-10 mins. It was easy to find out the hotel. We came at noon but couldn't get the room immediately as check in time was 14:00. We left our luggage and enjoy the rome rather than wait for our room. We spent three nights at Hotel Villa Glori. Overall it was fine and almost worth it's stars. Although beds were extremely hard and there was no help for that even if I asked. The hotel is situated a couple of kilometres away from city center but for us it was okay. It was easy to reach the city with a tram + metros and due to it's quiet neighbourhood […] we heard no sound of traffic etc. The area had also good + priceworthy restaurants/pizzerias which were growded with locals - nice! I love how it's close by to the trams. Easy to reach the Metro station to get around the city. The rooms are small though. The elevator is so tiny we can barely fit our luggages in there. And on the day we're supposed to check out, the elevator died so we have to carry all our stuff from the stairs. The walls are thin and we can hear someone yelling […] and singing outside (we think it was someone who works there) There are also tiny stairs separating our room from the corridor which is weird. The hotel was very clean and tidy. The staff were very helpful and polite. Close enough to walk to all the main attractions (spanish steps vatacian city etc). The room was quite small but everything was there. It was quiet at night the beds were comfortable. I would stay there again and recommend it to my friends

A lovely hotel, outside of the hustle and bustle of the city but only 5 minutes on the tram to the city centre. The rooms and hotel itself were spotless and decorated beautifully. Breakfast was good too. I would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends who are travelling to Rome soon.

The hotel is conveniently located near the Flaminio tram line, a kilometer from Plaza di Popolo. It is clean and comfortable with a nice breakfast buffet. There is a charge for wifi, but it is surprisingly well priced with a strong signal suitable for voice or video. There are a few restaurants nearby, but tourists from America or Asia may be surprised […] by the extent to which Rome shuts down during the summer months. On a weekend in August, there are few restaurants open within walking distance and no laundromats or convenience stores. The only downside to the hotel's comfort is that the rooms don't block out noise from the hallway, so light sleepers might be awakened by other guests outside the room, particularly in the early morning. The hotel was really nice and our room was beautiful! The location is in the midst of the Roman suburbs. It is not near any of any of the tourist attractions so I wouldn't suggest it for tourists. I was traveling with my fiance who is italian and have been to Rome a few times as well so we were both comfortable using public transportation. The train […] stop was covenient but you did have to ride the train to the metro station and then switch to be able to get on any of the tourist tracks. We also had a car with GPS so that helped with getting to and from the airport. Les mer

This hotel was superb, cannot fault it in any way. Decor charming, spotless, and very inviting. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. Set in a quiet leafy suburb of Rome, yet minutes from the centre by a number 2 Tram. Highly reccommend it to anyone visiting Rome.

What a fabulous hotel located in a local area of Italy. A little far away from the tourist area, but located a half block from a tram depot. I just have to mention that the breakfast was off the hook!

Just a B & B hotel but very clean and tidy and well furnished. Bedrooms a bit on the small side but ok for a short break.. Plenty of local restaurants to eat so lack of restaurant in hotel not a problem.

There are no wired ports in the room or anywhere in the hotel for internet access and the WiFi is a joke, don’t bother paying for it. Poor reception, continual disconnections and very slow. It is 2011 people, get your internet figured out.

We stayed here twice, one night on our way to Naples and Florence and then two nights again to see Rome. In all the hotel was comfortable but did not seem to be a 4 star hotel as advertised. The pictures are a little deceiving because the hotel is actually very small. The first time we were given a room that was extremely small. There was barely room […] for luggage for two people. The second time we had a bigger room although we paid the same. The rooms were a little old fashioned. The breakfast was nothing special. The location was convenient to get in and out of. The tram station was within minutes that takes you to the metro station and you can reach all the attractions from there. Rome metro is pretty cheap and hotel desk has tickets. The staff was helpful and everyone including bell boys spoke english. The cab fare from airport was 50 euros but depending on luggage you can catch a train to main terminal and then use the metro and tram to get to the hotel. I think a 3 star rating might be better for this hotel but it was still pretty convenient. Les mer

The hotel looks much better in the photos. I didn't have such a bad experience but the couple from England certainly did who were looking for breakfast which had been running low. I had to change rooms at midnight since it was then that I discovered that the TV and air conditioner didn't work. Not a real problem. Front desk changed my room. The problem […] was the attitude of the front desk in the morning. While I was checking out the couple from England started. I was looking for only the slightest of favors for the inconvenience of changing rooms at midnight. I was told "but it wasn't an inconvenience." Yes, not a real problem in the world but that's some response. Breakfast was good - I got there early. And the breakfast staff was helpful. Get what you pay for - a tiny, tiny room. There is a tram that runs from piazza del popolo and stops on the hotel's street. Be sure to know the stop thought - easy to miss. BUT IT'S DEFINITELY NOT FOUR STAR. It's just that there are better options that are closer to the Vatican and Spanish Steps. Those closer hotels would certainly be more convenient. Les mer

Although not right in the middle of downtown, the location of the hotel is good - take Tram 2 from Flaminio metro station and get off from Pze Manila. The free shuttle to town is unreliable.

I wouldn't recommend anyone this hotel for just the above two reasonss...but on top they charged us city tax while it was supposed to be already paid through hotels.com (no other hotel in our trip charged us any additional). Not a good experience.

The hotel was very clean and tidy, but the bedroom was very small. But we loved the bathroom. We read reviews from other guests before we went and one guest recomended a place to eat opposite the hotel pizza somthing but I cannot remember the secound word. Well it was great, the food was well cooked and it was always full which is a good sign. We did […] have a problem with our next door neighbours, they came home one night and put their telly on quite loud while we were trying to sleep so we went down stairs and they phoned the people up straight away to tell them lower the volume. No messing. The tram service was great and very cheap, also easy to get to grips with. We will be coming back to Rome in August and will most certainly be booking our stay in this Hotel with Expedia. Hotel states 10 miles from airport but the taxi fair was 50 euro and was not ten miles. The rooms were tiny but clean. Bed was very hard, after a day sight seeing you want a nice bed to sleep in, so sleepless night not good. Also they dont stock an iron and ironing board, as it is too dangerous? Using the internet also is expensive.

Staff was really nice and helpful. Location was not bad. Not in the city center but close enough. Building was clean and taken care of. Great breakfast in display, assortment and quality. The room was tiny.
