Hotellet tilbyr organisert joggetur to ganger i uka for mogenfulgler (starter 07:15).

Anbefales! "Saint George, veldig koselig"
I Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, and I was very impressed by the hotel for this price. There is every thing you need nearby, like, bank, grosery store, pub, restaurants, metro and tram. To get to the old town it is a bit to far to walk, but the metro and Tram system is very easy to learn. there are only 3 metro lines so you really can't go wrong! […] But if you do deside to take a taxi, remember to get the price before you get in the taxi. From the hotel to the old city, you should not pay more than 250 chk. The hotel is old but nice, the service is good and they speak good English. The Breakfast is very simple but you get what you need to start the day. I would stay here again because of the price. If you want to stay in the centrum, you should look up a hotel close to "the Hilton" Then you would be in walking distance to almost everything.

"Great hotel in walking distance from center"
Rooms were cleaned daily, and most of the staff were very friendly and helpfull. We walked to town and it took about 20 min.
"Very bad service"
The hotel service is bad: 1. Every morning at 08:05 there is a very loud noise from the ceiling which according to the staff is due to the heating of the hotel, and they can do nothing about it. This woke us up every day, we couldn't sleep afterwards. 2. The hotel offers the use of a small safe box in the room. You have to deposit 20Euro for the key. […] We did so and used the safe box throughout the week. When we checked out from the hotel, nobody asked for the key back. When returning back home, I called the hotel and suggested to send the key back by mail, and in return they will return the 20Euro deposit. The hotel manager was very rude, kept shouting at me that it was our fault I didn't return the key. She refused to return the deposit even if I return the key (This happened 24 hours after we left the hotel). We believe this is not the way to handle customers. If anyone has asked the key back, we would immediately return it. According to our understanding, this should be a part of the check out procedure. When I told this to the manager, she refused to ask any customer that checks out, if he has the safe key to return. We believe it is probably very comfortable, as the replication of a key is much cheaper than 20Euro. 3. When booking the hotel, they claimed internet is available. When arriving to the hotel, we found out internet is available only in the lobby, but not in the room. Unfortunately, we will never come back to this hotel Les mer
"Saint Gorge - quiet place away from commosion"
We stayed, a family of two+baby, for 5 nights, and it was a very good experience. Because we traveled with a baby, we asked, based on past reviews, for a room facing the courtyard and not the road. Our baby is a very sensitive sleeper, but it was so quiet in our room that we all managed to get a good rest. In addition, when we checked in our room already […] had a really nice pack-n-play type of crib for our baby, with sheets, pillows and blankets. Awesome! The staff was very friendly (although the front desk personnel was somewhat apathetic), breakfast was very good, with cheeses, sausages, coffee (+ a coffee machine), juices, cereal / granola, croissants, buns and other pastries. The room was clean and tidy when we came back to the room at the end of each day. For how old the building is, we were quite surprised to see how modern it was on the inside. Hallways have motion-sensor activated lighting, there is an elevator, modern shower (no bath). No internet in the rooms, but there was one station in the lobby (which could not connect to the internet for a whole day at some point. The front desk guy just shrugged and said he didn't know what the problem was...). The nearest major metro / light rail hub is Pavlova (line C), which is about three blocks away, or about 7 minutes walk. There is not much to do at the immediate vicinity of the hotel (some pubs do exist, though). It was actually nice to be away from the crowds and (potential) pick-pocketers - we felt very safe at the hotel and around it, weren't worried about getting back to the hotel late at night. The hotel is a little out of the way, but not on the moon. And the price was really great. Overall would recommend it to others. Les mer

"Hotel Saint George in Prague"
Getting the bad points out the way first: 1) Probably about a 15 min walk from the centre of town requiring the crossing of some very busy roads. 2) Decor a little dated inside. 3) A/C in room was totally ineffective! And the good: 1) Friendly and helpful staff allowed us to check in early after a painfully long journey and were extremely helpful […] in sorting out cabs, giving directions, looking after baggage the day we checked out. 2) Even though some of the furniture and fittings were dated, the hotel was spotlessly clean and comfortable. 3) A decent complimentary breakfast. 4) Room was quiet and relaxing. Despite its minor downfalls, this hotel proved an excellent choice given its price compared to others in Prague. Would certainly recommend to others and would be more than happy to stay there again. "Hotel St. George"
This hotel tries to be 4 star, but doesn't quite make it. It's an older building & could use some improvements. The breakfast was decent but no hot food is served. They have a/c, but it didn't work while we were there. It got very hot at night but our room was near a busy road and opening the windows resulted in too much noise to sleep. You need to […] turn in your room key when you leave the building. Not a huge deal, but if the clerk is busy with someone or on the phone when you return, you'll have to wait until s/he is free to get back to your room. The clerks were all exceptionally nice, though & spoke decent English. There is free wireless internet in the lobby, but not in the rooms. To get to the metro or tram you have to walk a couple of fairly long blocks. The neighborhood is not touristy, which I thought was a plus. Prices were cheaper than in the center of town and there are decent restaurants nearby. Les mer
"clean inexpensive hotel - great staff - nice rooms"
A bargain hotel with very clean and modern rooms - staff rerally went out of their way to help us with queries about flea markets / genuine local restaurants /directions and the local lingo - the staff were great breakfast is simple but filling - some fresh fruit /eggs would be nice - plenty of coffee- great range of teas- breads pastries - ham salami […] 2 cheeses room comfortable-bathroom clean =plenty of hot water - air con doesnt seem to go below a certain level so we had to leave the window open to get the temp down to a more comfortable level- this did mean street noise was more noticable in the morning - rooms at the back are probably more comfortable - staff did try to assist and remedy problem the lobby, bar area and coridoors etc are all well presented - nice art prints everywhere - light and airy internet is fine - didnt seem to be any limit to use of the computer-- just seems to be a fair use policy -was a less busy period when we visited so perhaps demand was low fitness room is free - the Sauna is not free however as I thought from the hotel's site - it's 600 Kr an hour - so more affordable for a group of four or so - jacuzzi was lovely though-- really nice way to relax after walking round the city - close to IP pavlova station- only minutes away - plenty of trams too - if it hadn;t been for the warm room i would have rated this hotel as perfect for the price-- a good place to stay - Les mer
"Hotel St George - I would recommend to everyone"
Excellent hotel - very clean, very helpful staff who speak English, nice continental breakfast, decent extras in the jacuzzi/hot tub and free email on the computer in the bar. Location also really good - 5 minutes to the underground or tram (at IP Pavlova underground station), 10 minutes to Wenceslas Square, just under 30 minutes to Old Town Square […] or Charles Bridge. TOP TIP: No need to spend £20-£25 on a taxi from airport to hotel. Get a transfer ticket from kiosk in airport entrance, take 119 bus which leaves from right outside and finishes at an underground station. Then take the tube 5 stops across and change for 1 stop down (finishing at IP Pavlova) and you are only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Cost - just £1 per person for the ticket which can be used on all modes of public transport for the next 75 minutes (whole journey is just 45-50 minutes). Les mer

"Hotel St George, friendly, helpful staff."
Great hotel for the price. Not as close to everything as thought but only two blocks to metro. Would definitely stay here again.
"Great stay in a historically outstanding city"
My husbad and I traveled in Europe for our honeymoon. We are happy to report that this hotel was a good choice (viewed on trip-advisor). Although it is in New Town, it is three blocks to the metro which is a fantastic and cheap mode of transportation. We rode several times per day with tickets that lasted 72 hours or so. The folks at the front desk […] were helpful, spoke English, and had a nice jacuzzi for our sore feet. The breakfast was ample, clean and peaceful. The only drawback was the pillows (but I can't say that they were much better in some of the other hotels either). They are really flat. Guess it is typical in Europe to sleep perfectly horizontal! The shower was the best shower in Europe as far as we were concerned. Athough tight, the pressure and heat was exceptional. I would stay again; my only bit of advice would be to brave the metro the first day so that on the remainder of your days you can feel like a local. No need to walk to the sights from hotel!! Save the walking for the cathedrals/museums etc. Les mer
"Decent hotel at a great price- OK location."
You trade location for price at Hotel Saint George. It's a little more than a kilometer away from the center of the old city- close enough for a nice walk into the tourist fray for the entire day, but far enough so that you won't want to come back for a nap to break up the the afternoon. The Metro is a convenient option, but we used it only to go to […] and from the airport bus. At this five story renovated hotel you'll pay less than half the price of other three star hotels in the center. We usually walked west to the river each morning, passing Frank Gerry's "Dancing Building", then turned north toward the Charles Bridge, enjoying the views along the water. At night we walked a more direct path through the city, back to the hotel. We never checked out the restaurant scene near the hotel, but ate [and paid] more toward the city center each day. We're a 50 something couple that believes in carry-on luggage only, and has no problem walking five to eight miles a day around a European city. This was our last stop, by way of a Czech Air connection from Dubrovnik, before flying back to the States after five weeks in Italy and Croatia. My wife and I enjoyed a pleasant three night stay at Hotel Saint George. The staff at the front desk was very helpful with local transportation and information . The lobby was very inviting and each morning we enjoyed a good breakfast in the dining room downstairs- cereal, meats, cheeses, breads, coffee, and juices- buffet style. Our room was on the top floor with a sloped ceiling and skylights, insulated from any street noise below. Simple, very clean, comfy king sized bed, spotless bathroom, and a TV with one English sports channel- who cares?!... We were there to see Prague! Final notes: Two small elevators did the job and, like most European hotels in older buildings, fire codes allow a single set of egress stairs service the entire building. As for Prague itself, Capitalism has won, and won BIG in the Czech Republic. We were here shortly Les mer
"Hotel Saint George"
My wife and I spent 3 nights at the hotel, and enjoyed our stay. It is approx. 15 mins easy walk from the centre - a bit tougher on the uphill returntrip! The breakfast is OK, but nothing special. We had a room on the top floor with just two skylights, i.e. no view out. The benefit was that we had virtually no noise from the outside. Aircon worked fine, […] but quite noisy. All in all the room was fine - nothing special - but worth the price. Les mer
"Hotel Saint George very good VFM"
This has probably been the BEST combination of price and comfort. The staff was extremely nice and helpful, the room was big and perfect and well kept. The general decor of the Hotel was quite impressive. Breakfast was so so, but that seemed to be the general case of food in Prague. There was a great sauna and jacuzzi in the hotel, no one used it so […] it was nearly private! It was in the middle of the city with the IP Pavlova train station and bus stop very close. Eateries were a stone's throw. The neighborhood wasn't the best, but not bad either. It is the perfect hotel to be in if you want to explore the city, but still not be completely in the middle of it. Not so much the romantic - in the woods kind of a place. I definitely recommend it. Les mer

Pros: helpfull and friendly staff, awesome spa, comfy lounge with bar, free internet, very good value for price Cons: towels not changed, a little walk to town.
"The hotel Saint George inPraha- close public tran"
Very clean; comfortable; friendship staffs; but not to have invoice. I don't understand ? Not to book the room which is upper because the bathroom is too bad.
"Great hotel for the price"
We stayed at Hotel St. George for 2 nights in Oct 2009. Booked it b/c of good reviews and good price. What a great hotel for the price!! The location is good. It's a 5 min walk to the nearest train and tram stations. The metro in Prague is amazing and will take you everywhere. The tram 22 is even better. The hotel is a 10 min walk to Wenceslas square […] and a 20 min walk to the old town square (but just take the tram or metro). All day pass on any public transport is only 100 Kc and totally worth it for going to Prague Castle and other places. They serve a continental breakfast in the morning and it was excellent. Croissants, juices, toasts, fruits, cereals etc. We were jet-lagged the 1st morning and didn't wake up on time for breakfast and the lady was nice enough to still open the kitchen and give us some breakfast. Their staff is really nice and helpful. They have a fitness center and a lounge area w/ a shared computer for free internet use. It's great if you didn't carry your laptop to Prague. The rooms are clean and spacious. Our room had it's own private bathroom and timely room service everyday. Very minimal street noise b/c the hotel is located on a quiet small street. They have 2 elevators. Take the big one cuz the smaller one may make you claustrophobic. If you wanna stay right in old town square in the middle of all the action, this hotel is not for you but remember...you'll pay a lot more for that hotel. But if you don't mind taking a 5 min tram ride to old town square, or a 20 min walk, this hotel is ideal. Les mer
"Needs some minor corrections"
Starting with the positive, the staff was VERY friendly and helpful. The nicest front desk staff! I got suggestions for tours and other information, they were very helpful and happy to book for me. Great suggestions as well, had very good experiences in the city. The breakfast is very nice, and a great addition to your stay. A good bargain for the price. […] It is very walkable to the metro and is very central. Easy to get to and from. It was very convenient, especially compared to the other hotels in the area which were more expensive. On the negative, the bed covers need taken out and burned. The sheets were clean and fine, but my bed cover was dirty and burned from cigarettes. the blanket on the bed too was not in good shape. Looked dirty and also had burns. The sheets again, were fine. The bathroom and other amenities were good, especially considering the price. One of my biggest complaints is the internet situation. From the site it appears as though you would have internet available in the rooms. No. There is ONE computer next to the lobby that is available to all guests. I work from my computer, so this was a problem. However, there is an internet cafe that is close by and very reasonably priced if you need to use your own computer like I do. Overall, I would recommend the hotel to anyone traveling and trying to stay on a budget. Les mer
"Good Staff but awful hotel"
Staff very friendly, no internet connections, no wi-fi, breakfast very poor, and same food every morning, with same old timing at the weekend as well, poor bed and pillows. Bathroom average, lacks proper plumbing. No restaurant in the hotel, no room service. No tea or coffee making facility in the room. No shoe shine, no facility in the room. Airconditioned […] did not work properly. We booked two rooms, we were split over two floors, staff excuse, no doubel bedrooms available, only single beds/ or twin beds. However, staff extremely helpful, guiding all guests propertly, good and accurate advice to all residents. Good for its price, but a little bit furher away from the town square. Struggle if you ahve to walk three times a day Les mer

Lovely large room, had one round the back so no traffic noise, 5 minute walk from tram and metro stops, clean and tidy. Used the gym a couple of times to unwind which had to be booked at reception - basic equipment but enough for a workout.
"Hotel clean staff helpful"
Hotel very clean but a little dated. Breakfast was adequate but no hot food. There is no tea or coffee making facilities in the room but there is a mini bar. Hotel is approx. 15/20 minute walk from centre of the city. Tram stop 5minutes away. Not many bars or restaurants in the immediate area. Hotel is situated between 2 very busy roads but didn't hear […] traffic noise in hotel at night. Hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and efficent. Les mer
"Needs a bit of improvement but is still a great value for the price"
This hotel is a bit threadbare. Its a bed and breakfast that needs its bed covers on the bed badly replaced (looked dirty and had visible holes in it.) The rooms are pretty big considering its Europe. However the staff is phenomenal and the breakfast is great.
"Excellent Hotel"
Hotel is excellent and spotlessly clean and excels as a 3* Hotel.Rooms are spacious and well furnished and staff helpful.Breakfast, although continental variety is plentiful.Hotel also offers free internet access and has gym, sauna ttc. Also only 10 mins walk to Wenceslas Square.Only downside is that it is located close to a busy main road with some noise, but […] not overly so. I would certainly recommend it to anyone.
