Hampton Inn Ft. Lauderdale City Center - Fort Lauderdale

Et perfekt hotel i forbindelse med cruising fra Port Everglades. Hyggelig og løsningsorientert betjening. Kort vei til handle- og restaurantgaten Las Oleas.

Positivt overrasket da vi kom sent på kvelden etter en lang reise. Taxi kostet under $20. Rommet var stort og fint og frokosten var god. Vi skulle bare bo her en natt før vi skulle videre til cruise, og til det var hotellet perfekt. Behjelpelig personale , og med gratis shuttle til cruiseterminalen hver time.

The hotel is situated in the middle of town with walking distance to many restaurants and the Riverwalk. The service was excellent with a good breakfast and access to free wifi and free coffe around the clock as well as free transfeer to the cruice ships.

Vi ankom hotellet på ettermiddagen. Vi ble imøtekommet på en hyggelig måte av personalet. Hotellet var riktig så pent pyntet til jul! Rommet var tilfredstillende bortsett fra at detkun var 2 dobbeltsenger og vi hadde bestillt rom for 5. Da en av oss var barn gikk det greit. God temp på rommet og renslig. Omerådet rundt var pent, men like utenfor ikke […] så pent.l Et godt stykke til sentrum og ferje/cruise-kai. Vi var lovet skyss som skulle komm kl 1 men som kom kl 14.30. Ikke helt bra, da vi skulel sjekkes inn kl 15. Men det gikk heldivis bra! Et hyggelig opphold og hele familien var tilfredse med standarden som var middels. Les mer

Fint hotell, men litt dårlig beliggenhet.

Despite the personal convenience of this hotel, the facility continues to show its wear and tear. I stayed here approximately 20 days last year and unless now prompted by an off-season special, I have not found it to be the "bargain" that you might expect. This is a very well maintained Hampton Inn. The staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The location is within easy walking distance of Las Olas and Riverfront. Wifi, breakfast, and free parking make this one of the best deals around. I've stayed here several times and have never been disappointed. The only negatives are the parking […] lot being extremely hard to navigate. Don't even thinking about bring an SUV. On the last stay there were beer cans in the hot tub and a broken light fixture which almost cut my foot. There was chewing tobacco floating in the pool. This was about 3pm in the afternoon when I arrived. I reported it to the front desk and they responded right away. Walking around this area at night can be scary. Although I've become more accustomed to the vagrants in this area. They are everywhere in Ft Lauderdale and usually leave you alone. I always take a cab at night just to be safe. The room has a safe so I felt comfortable leaving my valuables. The hotel has security cameras which they monitor from the front desk. Although I did see some people wandering around the lower garage I think they might have been waiting for the house keeping staff. Les mer

It was wonderful and the breakfast fantastic too. Everyone was pleasant and that warm cookie upon entering was just the beginning. A ride to the hotel would have made it perfect. Thanks for a great stay.

This hotel is not in the greatest location. My family and I only stayed one night before our cruise however. No resturants onsite, we had to walk 3 blocks to the rearest eatery and the entire street was not the friendlyiest for children. The hotel is across the street for an abandonded bldg where the homeless sleep outside. Would not recommend.

As always my stay was great. Staff is welcoming and helpful. Although I'm a local I stay here for convenience when I have early morning meetings in the downtown area. There are other hotels I could stay at by far I always choose this Hampton Inn.

Neighborhood is not the best. Need to take a cab to get something to eat. Room and staff were great. Breakfast was excellent. Great shuttle to the cruise terminal.

Hotel was greater distance from port Everglades than stated in advertisement.

This hotel is a great location for staying overnight prior to cruising (as we did) or visiting the downtown sights or the beach. Safety may be a concern at night. We didn't go out. We just ordered in a pizza. Otherwise it has all the goodness of a Hampton Inn.

We almost aqlways stay at the Hampton Inns when we travel especially back and forth from Michigan to Florida. Only complaint is because I used Hotel.com I DID NOT get any points for my rewrads.I think that should change!

as far as a hampton inn in concerned, this one is tired, other than that the personnel were great

We stayed here the night before our cruise. The staff was extremely nice, and even let us check into our room at 8:00 in the morning, since we had taken a red eye flight in! The room was very comfortable and clean. And it was close to shops and restaurants. We will stay here again.

Hotel was very nice, clean rooms and public areas. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Courtesy breakfast was excellent, as well as courtesy coffee/teas in lobby. The only drawback was there were no restaurants in close proximity to the hotel. However, the Riverfront area (about a 20 minute walk) where we found a pizza establishment is undergoing […] some revitalization. We also found a restaurant on the water's edge (Suite 101?), the food was good and reasonable. They both had an outside area to eat, as well as inside. Owner of the pizza shop is from New Jersey, so you won't be disappointed about the food choices. Les mer

once arriving to the airport, we found that they did not offer shuttle as stated on the hotel.com ad. The hotel advised that Hotel.com advertises ammenties that they do not offer. We had to hire a taxi service to get there, $80 later. We wanted to get dinner after arriving, was told by the hotel clerk not to walk anywhere after dark. We did walk before […] dark and saw many, many homeless people sleeping in the streets, so sad. Would not recomment this hotel! Les mer

The location near Las Olas B. is great, but you have to walk past a rather dodgy neighborhood to get there. There seems no danger though, as it's most homeless people hanging around the bus terminal close to the hotel. We were travelling with a baby, and did not feel unsafe. Breakfast is free,and is really good. On big flaw though is the transfer service. […] We booked the hotel because of the free transfer to Port Everglades, but they weren't able to get one for us, as we were leaving after 2pm (?) and we had the baby (?), so we ended up getting a taxi. Stayed here on a Saturday night before a cruise left out on Sunday morning...good location, room was clean and well furnished...shower had the best pressure I have had in a hotel shower, and the Breakfeast Buffet was excellent!! Get there early tho the eating area is small.

Fantastic staff, very friendly and informative, always helpful and pleasent. It was flattering that most of the desk managers remembered and greeted me by name daily.

I have always liked my stays at Hampton Inns (discovered on a cross-country trip) and this was no exception. The staff was very helpful, the breakfasts were generous and comfortable, and the location was great--close to the Museum of Art as well as convenient to a nephew's office so we could meet for lunch. The one problem I had with a malfunctioning […] phone was fixed very quickly once I reported it. I would stay here again. Les mer

The hotel and staff were very nice. The room was clean and had a refrigerator and a microwave and a safe. There was a wonderful breakfast buffet. While there were some restaurants within walking distance or short cab ride distance, the neighborhood seemed "uncertain", since we saw several people sleeping in doorways or in the town square. There were […] several vacant properties near the hotel. Next time, I think I would choose a hotel near a mall or shopping strip. Pat Les mer

The Hampton Inn in Ft. Lauderdale is conveniently located close to great restaurants & shopping on Las Olas Blvd., but there were several issues that made the stay less than enjoyable, starting with the excessive delays in checking in, an insufficient quantity of luggage carts and the pushy and RUDE janitor who insisted that I take my luggage up to […] my room immediately, and would not let me wait for my husband to park the car and help me. The breakfast was AWFUL. Much of the fruit was rotten, the toaster did not work properly, the hot food was revolting (I would not feed that to my dog!) and there were nowhere near enough tables to accomodate the number of guests - forcing several people to actually sit ON THE FLOOR to eat! In terms of the room itself, the bed was so uncomfortable that I could barely sleep... and when I tried to do laundry in the laundry room at the hotel, it took me THREE cycles in the dryer to get my clothes dry. If this was a cheap Super 8 Motel, then I would not complain, but for the price we paid for our "deluxe" room, I expected a lot more! Les mer

WE STAYED ONE NIGHT BEFORE OUR CRUISE. IT WAS EVERYTHING WE EXPECTED. WE WILL GO BACK AGAIN.

Would definitely use this hotel again. In fact........we did! We checked in prior to our cruise and were so impressed, we cancelled reservations at another hotel and stayed prior to our flight home at the end of the cruise!

we select this hotel for a pre-cruise -no transfer from the airport buy very good transfert to the cruise terminal , the location is not very good for long term vacation

The place is right next to City Hall and the "Occupy" movement. Lots of homeless people around the area. Not safe after dark.

I was very pleased with my stay at the Hampton. We had a short stay, just arrived the night before our Cruise. When I called to confirm the day before we arrived I found that there was a miscommunication on the type of room I required. I was very upset but after a short conversation with Kelly the Assistant Mgr. I was assured that the problem would […] be resolved. Sure enough she came through with what we needed. She cared!! Our stay was made perfect by her providing excellent customer service. In addition, we enjoyed a fabulous breakfast the next morning and were provided with shuttle service to the ship. My wife and I stayed here one night prior to a cruise. OK, I should have researched "downtown" a bit more. I thought downtown would be great for bars and restaurants but God no, there's absolutely nothing there, though the city hall is next door - go figure! The hotel itself is OK but no great shakes. Excellent service, very clean rooms, very convenient location. My only complaint was that the air conditioning was a bit loud.

The hotel is great! The service, comfort, breakfast is very good, the pool is excellent. I just didn't like the surroundings, next to the bus station there were a lot of homeless. I could walk there, but didn't feel very safe. One thing that I really didn't like is that Hoteis.com shows the rates in Real and I was charged in Dollar. We were disappointed with the location...guess we should have explored that point more carefully. Our room had an overwhelming smell of cleaning products, and my allergies were in full force. A room does not have to smell like that to be considered "clean". We tried to stay out of the room as much as possible for this reason. Thankfully, it was only […] a one night stay. Les mer

Not located on the beach but excellent hotel, staff and perfect location for everything you may want to experience......my first choice whenever I'm in Fort Lauderdale.

I wanted to stay at a hotel near the bars on las plaza and this was a great place to stay. We got there really late and there wasn't any parking in there garage, but they let us park in a handicapped spot for the night. We were told that, although its walking distance, that it wasn't safe to walk to the bars, so we took a cab and it was about $4 each […] way. Very nice and helpful staff and a small, but pretty hotel. Had a great breakfast as well. And really good coffee. Les mer

This hotel was very clean, comfortable rooms, and close to everything we were in town for. The only complaint I have was the parking, the garage is small and narrow and not much space. I would recommend this hotel.

The Hotel itself was very nice and clean, however it is not located in the best area. Views from the rooms are all rooftops and you have to walk through areas of abandoned buildings to get to the river walk. The city does have a shuttle that picks you up right in front of the building, you just have to wait a little while for it. The Hotel was nice […] but honestly I would not return nor recommend due to the location. Our friends we were there with booked a beautiful hotel right on the river walk hub that was less expensive and had river views from the rooms. Les mer
