Stayed 3 days at the hotel during holiday (with 3 friends), and basically chose the hotel because of very good prices. The rooms (single rooms) are very small, but clean. Tv signal was not too good, and the internet was unusable due to very low signal strength at pretty much all of the 4th floor. Dette var substandard. Vi hadde booket for 3 dager men fikk nok etter en halv time. Varmt og innestengt på rommet og det bråkte så mye utenfor at vi ikke kunne ha åpent vindu. Prøvde å kanselere de 2 andre dagene, men det lot seg ikke gjøre. Fikk beskjed om å gjøre det online på holtels.com og de ordnet det med en gang.

Vi var noe skeptisk til beliggenheten av hotellet og trodde at det blir mye bråk om natta. Men det var relativt stillt, når man tenker på hvor mye trafikk det er om dagen.Man kan jo sove godt ved lukket vindu! Gangavstand til Theresienwiese- gangavstand til Pinakothekene og andre severdigheter- 20 min. til Marienplatz og det beste: 5 Minutter til Hauptbahnhof. Positivt: Nær jernbanestasjon + hyggelig betjening i resepsjon. Negativt: Minste hotellrom vi har bodd på (fikk nesten ikke pakket opp kofferten), beliggende i støyende område med trafikkstøy og høylydte "naboer" på utsiden av hotellet. Bråk med slamming av dører inne midt på natten. Lite trivelig område. Definitivt ikke et hotell å anbefale.

Hotellet ligger nært Hauptbahnhof. Det leverer standarden man kan forvente av 3 stjerner. Var der på byferie, og hadde jeg visst mer om hvordan byen så ut hadde jeg lett etter et hotell nært Marienplatz. Vil du ha et billig OK hotell og synes det er OK å gå 15 minutter til hovedgata er dette hotellet for deg.

The hotel was good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean. For usthe hotel could have been nearer to the central railway station. It is a non-smoking hotel and it would have been nice to find a table and some hairs in the forecourt for people to sit down while enjoying their cigarette. The hotel really isn't anything special, but it is one of the cheapest for central Munich. If you just need a place to sleep for a single night, it will do the trick. It is within walking distance (15-20 mins) of the town centre and tourist sites, and just 5 minutes from the main train station which connects to the airport.

This was the most lovely little hotel - the staff was helpful and friendly, the rooms was clean, the service was excellent, the breakfast was great, the room was small but very comfortable and well organized - had everything I needed. It was warm, the shower was great. It couldn't have been better. And, to top if off, a sauna!

I had a tiny room, since I was traveling solo and requested a single. If you want a little more space, be sure to order a double. But it was very clean, so I can't complain. Location was convenient -- right near the central train station. The neighborhood is unsavory (Red Light District), BUT it is safe.

A little bit further than the hostels we stayed at before. This hotel was a little bit less visible from the street (and it snowed that day) so we had a bit of trouble to find the room. It's close to restaurants, kebabs and other night businesses. It's very close to the train station and 15 min from the main plaza. the room was a little bit too small […] for 2 persons. and we barely had space to put and open our 2 luggages. Other than that, the elevator really needs a fix, its 1 sqm and services the breakfast room on the 6th floor. Les mer

We visited this hotel whilst visiting the christmas markets. It was a great find, within minutes of the train station and a 10 minute walk into the old town. Could not fault the hotel staff, our only negatives were the lack of tea and coffee making facilities; there are some available after breakfast until 6pm which are free of charge along with some […] delicious biscuits, however this was of no use to our stay. The main comment we would make is the showers, we found it almost impossible to get a warm shower between 8 and 9:30 am however later on in the day it was perfect! would definately go back if we return. The hotel was good value considering Munich had a major exhibition 'Electronica' starting the day of my departure. They said they were fully booked for that first day of the exhibition. The room was single bed and compact but functional with good TV, small table area and table chair. The street noise was quite high with windows slightly open but quiet […] enough when closed. As their is no air conditioning it may be too warm in summer but was OK in mid-November. There was no room safe but reception offered a multi-safe facility which had only one safe adequate for a large laptop and about 6 half-size safes. The reception staff were friendly and helpful with good use of English. Pleasant top floor breakfast room with a few tables outside for good weather use on the narrow terrace overlooking both streets of this corner located hotel. Les mer

They gave us a wake up call and arrainged a taxi at 4am to take us to Munich airport. Excellent service, great staff. Would recommend to anyone.

The location of this hotel is handy for oktoberfest which is about 10 mins walk. It's on a busy main road which you can hear through the windows. Hotel is clean and has all the basics needed. The area it's in isn't the best however if you ever get hungry then there loads of kebab shops nearby. Wifi is available in the room at a cost of €2 a day. Hotel is clean and the staff are very helpful,but the place isl in need of a total refurb and upgrade with aircon and sound proofing. Location is the best thing about it!! Also rooftop bar is not open.

The Hotel Schweiz is located in the Turkish / Red Light district of Munich close to the station. It is very central. I booked online but forgot that I had paid. In the morning we had to wait 20 minutes at reception because there was only 1 receptionist who kept making mistakes. So, pay online and remember you have paid. No other staff were available […] so a queue built up of increasingly irritated guests. Decor a bit shabby. Room clean but smelled stale when we entered. Parking is 5 minutes away in a public car park with very reasonable rates. Nevertheless, I wouldn't stay here again. Les mer

Very well located being only two blocks from the train station. Neighborhood is lively, casinos, strip shows, arabic restaurants, but never felt unsafe. Pretty close to the city center and cultural attractions. Wi-fi is inexpensive but unreliable in the room.

Hotel location is great,5minutes to banhof,easy to get food and markt is beside and front of hotel.room and toilet is good except that its small,no aircon,no fridge,tv channel is limited as cnn is the only english channel available.

The hotel has rules and codes for guests to follow. Every morning the cleaning person will knock the door loudly to check in you are in the room. I told the receptionist. She replied that if I don't want that I must put the red sign in front of the door. In my opinion this is crasy! The hotel must have common sense that people still sleep between 8 […] to 10. Guest can also put the green sign (please clean the room) as well. The bathtub was so dirty. I was there in July 2012. It was hot but no fan or air con supplied. In conclusion all problems here are from the attitude of the staff there that see guests as disturbance. I am so sorry for the owner of this hotel. Les mer

Good hotel, clean safe. Good staff with excellent english. Located within 5 mins of station and main street. In the Turkish quarter which was fun and friendly. The wifi was cheap but a bit iffy - dropped off after 5 mins or so, but most hotels have flakey wifi. Room was of good size, bathroom fine. We didn't use breakfast as so many cafes nearby.

The hotel is located in the couple blocks just south of the Munich Hbf which is convenient as I was travelling in by train late at night and wanted to just get to my room and to bed. It is unfortunately in the few blocks of the city that are all strip clubs and casinos, so it tended to have some unsavory characters around, but even as a 27 year old […] female travelling alone I did not have any trouble from the people around. It is very very close to convenient Sbahn and Ubahn stations, quick and easy to get around, nice cute restaurants, bars, and clubs near by. The hotel room itself was clean, very clean, and had nice touches that they were clearly trying to be a little more upscale. There was some street noise (drunk couples fighting or rowdy boys yelling) at night, but the hotel itself was quiet. There is also an affordable breakfast but I did not try it. Over all I think it was a good value for the location, however next time I would probably try to stay a couple more blocks in the nicer direction. Les mer

We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. The neighborhood was a bit noisy and you would not choose to walk around late at night on your own but we felt safe. It was clean, tidy and the staff lovely.

Very helpful staff on reception gave very good unbiased information about Travellling to airport, room was adequate for our overnight stay although we were prepared to accept storage limitations for suitcases. Altogether we were happy with our stay overnight.

Great value. No A/C. Slept with windows open.Easy walk to train station. Staff very helpful, great sense of humor.Felt very safe, even at night. Did not get breakfast at hotel because there were several fresh fruit/ veggies markets quite close to hotel. Cafe on next block as well. Very small room, but more than adequate for a place to lay your head. If your just looking for a single room to sleep and freshen up while visiting. Then you cant beat the price. Parking is a bit of a walk, but reasonable priced compared to the alternative.
