Broken bed, cold, drity,

I called before booking the hotel room and asked if the pool was open. I was told it was but when I got there the pool was under maitnence and had been for two months. The air did not work in the room so it was hot all night. The ice machines did not work on any floor other than the first floor. This is definitely one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. The room had lamps that didnt work, the bathroom counter had dirt on it, the central ac vent leaked a ridiculous amount of water anytime it was running, and we had to get new keys six times throughout our stay because there was something wrong wroth the electronic lock. The indoor pool […] was freezing cold. The staff was very rude. They treated us very badly. The house keeping knocked on our door til we finally came to the door even though there was a' do not disturb' sign on the door. I had to go to four different ice machines before I found one that worked and we had a broken microwave in our room. Over all our stay at this raggedy hotel was horrible. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy! Les mer

this hotel la kiva in amarillo is the worst one i have ever been. when i entered the lobby,it looks good.it is huge and its like a century old building. when i got the keys to my room from the desk lady, i proceeded and found the bath tub faucets fows like river,you could hear it once you enter the room, so i went back to the lobby lady and ask her […] if i could move to another room,and she find me another one. at first it looks good though the carpet is very dirty, the only good thing in this hotel is the bed.its compy.here comes the worst part,i would wke up in the middle of the night,because of the noise and the smell of cigarete coming from the next door room.they were having a party since we got there.iwould not recommend this hotel to anyone. it really sucks Les mer

This, I'm sure, was once a great hotel. You can see it in the glass elevators and the large atrium that once must have housed beautiful displays but now is a nondescript dining room. The room I got scared me. I'm not making this up. I actually considered just getting in the car and driving away, but for the consideration of my party, we stayed the […] night. The carpet was worn completely in sections. The telephone was missing its faceplate with instructions. The bathroom had no towels (I called the front desk, and the promised to bring some but never did). There was a washer and dryer in the hallway by the door that goes to the parking lot (the door had no working lock) making significant noise through the night, and we noted that some residents had patio furniture. I'm certain that we were sharing a wing with indigents. The next morning as we ate breakfast (the breakfast was actually good), we noticed that other guests did not seem so, well, indigent. When I complained to the front desk that my room had been the most godawful room I had ever stayed in, she agreed (yes agreed) saying that they (meaning the Internet company I had used) were not supposed to be booking those rooms. This place needs to clean up their act. Until then, don't make the same mistake I did. Les mer

The ac didn't work well so it was way to hot in the room. We booked a king size bed and got two twin beds, one of which was broken. I will not ever stay here again.

This was indeed the worst hotel ive ever been in. I booked this hotel because it had such bad ratings to really see if it could be that bad. It was! Con's: There were brown stains on the sheets. No outside door handle for the bathroom door. Electrical sockets had no cover and were not skewed into the wall. Burns in the carpet. Paint is chipping off […] the walls. It was really bad, i would have been upset if i didn't know what i was getting myself into. The breakfast was gross, it was so greasy i couldn't taste the eggs that were on my plate. If you stay here get an Atrium Room, i had a wing room and that might have been why it was so bad. Pro's: A/C worked pretty good, but it was loud. Les mer

I was not satisfied with the hotel because in the first place the beds were very unconfortable, the rooms even if were non smiking still smell like smoke and plus to much noice at night because of the nite club.....

Old School Cool, but no hot water for my morning shower. Otherwise clean and comfortable. And love the old school atrium. Big Problem: Look at the American flag out front. The motel swimming pool was under construction during a 100 degree plus heat wave, the rooms were dirty, I will not stay there again!!!

Run down and very old worn out furnishings! We were very disappointed with the Hotel.com representative, as they choose this place for us. We told her we wanted something comparable to Homeward Suites or Comfort Suites. This was not even close!!!!!

This hotel looks good in pictures only. The rooms were old and nasty. And the air was out in the rooms and it was so hot and they would not refund money! I felt dirty even sitting in the room. We left and had to pay for another room

This hotel is kind of cool in a nostalgic manner, but is in DESPERATE need of repair. There is also a club by the front door, and you can hear it late into the night, so don't expect much sleep. We got the honeymoon suite, which SHOULD be the nicest in the place, but it was in BAD disrepair. Burned cigarette remains, broken toilet, broken mini fridge, […] and just an overall bad odor...not a good stay. Les mer

nice locations, clean. needs new mattress, rolled to middle of bed, rates were reasonable.

The room was an older room, but clean. Noisy and the pillows were old and flat.

Unfortunate. This could be a beauty and probably was 40 yrs ago. The interior architecture was there but furnishings were cheap and completely lacking in charm. TV reception was extremely poor and no cable. Breakfast tasted like cardboard. Stay away from the scrambled eggs. Very little effort was extended to make this hotel inviting. this hotel at one time was probably a beautiful place, but really needs updating badly.. it does have potential

Decent location was right off the highway and next to Quarter Horse Museum. Surrounding neighborhood was restaurants and other hotels. When we arrived, there were 2 police cars in the driveway--apparently there was some behavior issues in the hotel--no details were given by the front desk. I cannot whine about the hotel because of the cost--you get […] what you paid for. The hotel is old-not in a charming way. Old, dirty, stained. The kids staying at the hotel seemed to be having fun at indoor pool. Breakfast eggs were made to order and decent. If you are looking for a quick place to stop and sleep and not worried too much about your nice car, this is ok place. Otherwise, spend a little money and stay at a nicer place. Les mer
