Great place. We have stayed there before for anniversaries. Patio at restuarant is wonderful. The room was quiet and had plenty of space. Friendly attentive staff. Great place and value.

It was a nice stay - the hotel staff was very welcoming and friendly, the pool was nice, and the wait staff was friendly and helpful (they even made my daughter a special non-alcoholic drink!). I wasn't expecting the apartment-style rooms, which were separate from the main hotel, but that wasn't too much of an issue. I was surprised to find that there […] was not a bathtub, as I had my two-year-old daughter with me and was unable to bathe her properly as a result. The fidge in my room did not work, but it was replaced within an hour of my arrival. Room service and food quality were great. Les mer

The hotel had an additional charge that I thought was covered by the total room & taxes paid through Hotels.com. This needs to be better spelled out when the room is booked.

one of the best experiences in recent memory. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Must eat outside on the Gold Restaurant Terrace.

The suites are not really suites. They are one room with two small double beds. They advertise that the room sleeps 5 people but really only two sleep comfortably. Sleeping on a sofa sleeper or a roll away is a sure fire way to hurt your back. I would not recommend this hotel for more than two to a room. Relegated to a distant room with a view of a dirt patio and dog waste station. Asked to move and waited for 40 minutes, then gave up and went to front desk. Staff are on the verge of rude, placed us in a room NEXT to the dog waste station with another dirt patio. Room service is wildly expensive and not very good. After a very stressful few weeks on the job, I needed to get away and the Westward Look provided exactly the right combination of amenities and quiet atmosphere that I needed to recharge. The room was very comfortable and the grounds are gorgeous. The nature walk with the hummingbird garden was pretty much abandoned after the sun went down and I took […] advantage of that to walk with a very special someone and look at the brilliant stars. The main pool area was a bit too crowded for us, but with multiple ones to choose from, we found exactly the right spot to spend a few hours basking in the sun. We had to change rooms because of an unworkable mini fridge; the dining room food and service was iffy, the landscaping is lovely and tennis facilities were great. We paid the daily resort fee and then were asked for a fee to use the tennis courts that we thought was included in the resort fee. Overall a decent resort with some issues. Great location in the foothills of the Catalina Mountains. Easy access to hiking trails. Hotel is well appointed, rooms spacious & well kept.

So many beautiful touches. The grounds are gorgeous. My kids really appreciated the basketball and volleyball. (sports equipment available at desk)The largest pool is saline, which I think is a real plus. Food was delicious but be ready to pay. We took a later check out so we could have another day there. Nice, comfortable, great location, laid back. Close to great restaurants and shopping.

The Westward Look Resort blends classic history with modern convenience. The hotel is nice but needs some updating which seems to be in progress with the recent acquisition by Wyndham Resorts. Get the second floor room as they provide a nice view and more space. We did not get to eat at Gold Restaurant as it is closed on Sunday and the President's Day […] holiday, buat we did eat at the bar restaurant. The drinks were weak and over-priced and the food was just ok. The tennis courts were nice and pro was very patient and informative during our lesson. Overall the resort is quiet and relaxing as long as you stay away from the main pool area, unless you are there with kids. There is a more private hot tub on the other side of the resort. We also went to the spa which offers full services. The massages were good, however the locker room and showers were very disappointing and in need of an update. I found it really disappointing that they didn't even have the same soap and shampoos that they have in the room. I think overall we like our stay and the room we had was nice and quiet. A few updates that are being done will make this a highly ranked resort in the near future. Les mer

We were pleasantly suprised how nice this resort is. The grounds, lobby, pools, and rooms were all exceptional. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall an A+! We hope to return very soon one day.

Great price thru Hotels.com. Last minute rate really made it happen. Idealic location. Great views of city. Good food at fair price considering. They should drop the resort fee however. A spa dose'nt make it a resort. Othrwise will go back when in Tucson

our upstairs neighbors were either extremely noisy or the floors and walls are paper thin, this is my third stay here and it is beautiful.

This is the second visit we've made to the Westward Look. We go to the desert to hike, but like having a comfy place to stay after a long day outside. The Westward look is spacious and cozy, but completely unpretentious in contrast to other resorts. The landscaping and views are beautiful. We were there during the busy Gem and Mineral show, but the […] hotel never felt crowded or loud. We'd go back and will keep recommending it to others. Les mer

Great room. Great beds and linens. Supper clean. View is of the whole Tucson valley. Room are spread out over the grounds in small buildings with 5 or so rooms each. Parking is close to the room and very convenient. Grounds are very nice and well kept. Overall very nice if a little overpriced.

Friendly Staff, Both Bar and Restaurant Very Good, Beautiful grounds, Great Location..have stayed here before and will stay again.

wish i stayed longer, everything was beautiful-The lobby, the room, the curb appeal of the rooms felt like a private resort. The front desk and clerk were very helpful and nice. I will definaltely stay again.

Reason for the low rating on the service was in the Dining Room.. Jason was the waiter, He was told that the room was -2nd Honeymoon and Birthday. He said he will have to make a time we would never forget.. Well it was-- Ordered drinks and it took 30 mins. to get a drink. Over an hour to get the food.. Food was great when we got it, little spendy..

My wife and I loved everthing about this hotel. Rooms were great, dining was good and just loved the atmosphere.

Booked this room through Hotels.com, thought everthing was included in the price I paid. When I arrived to check-in I was charged an additional $15 "resort fee". Not at all happy about that!

We loved this resort. They had great service and the staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed eating at the restaurants and dancing at the bar.

The area surrounding Westward Look offers stunning views of the Catalina mountain range and of the Tucson Valley. The outdoor spaces are well taken care of and relaxing. The bed is very comfortable. But if you are on the bottom floor, be prepared to hear every move your upstairs neighbor makes; from stepping across the room to using their bathroom facilities. […] Speaking of the bath, if you were expecting to invigorate yourself after a sleepless night of neighbor-listening with a shower, you might be better served by taking a dip in the pool. The shower is disappointingly small and has very poor water pressure. If you decide to stay, note that the refrigerator is hidden beneath the bathroom sink. Les mer

Upgraded rooms are large and comfortable

I stayed for 4 nights at the Westward look. This was my first stay in Tucson, and I was attending a conference at another large hotel in the area that was fully booked. This hotel was not the next closest, but many reviews found it favorable, and I thought I'd give it a try. If you are planning on staying at this hotel, I would strongly recommend having […] your own transportation. There is plenty of parking available. The area is slightly isolated, but very accessible, as long as you have a car. Rooms are great. Very spacious. View was great (I was in building 34, room 310). This particular room had a little "retreat" (coffee table, couch, chairs) similar to "suites" at other hotels. Bathroom was huge, with 2 separate sinks, and a skylight in the ceiling, which added to the spacious feeling. Frameless glass shower doors, great endless hot water. (No tub in this particular room!). Housekeeping was non-intrusive. Hotel staff were very friendly. I probably only used about 15% of the amenities on this property (it was, after all a business trip), but the 24 hour heated pool was calling my name the entire time I was there. I would love to come back for another visit, when I can enjoy what the hotel has to offer. Though it was mentioned in the (very) fine print on my 3rd party website that I used, a "resort fee" is added on the daily room rate. Make sure to look for it! Les mer

Very nice people work here but we did not like the way it was so spread out. Also, the pillows, bedding, etc. were all duck down and we are both allergic to that. They did come in a timely manner to change them out but why do some hotels insist on puting this stuff out in the first place considering the fact that so many people are allergic to it. Also, […] our room was a walk out basement type of affair. Didn't like that either. In addition we never did figure out where the pool was and the picture on their web site didn't look at all like anything we saw when we got there. Overall, nice enough room but glad we weren't paying full fare for it. Doubt we would return as we don't like these spread out type of facilities where it takes days to figure out where everything is. Didnt realize that every housekeeping request had to be made formally. We are used to leaving a hotel room and finding it clean upon return. An example is a child spilled a small amount of soda in the bathroom as we were leaving, the soda was still there. The housekeeping staff restocked towels but did not wipe down counters, sinks or anything. Perhaps […] a water conservation effort, but if I were home I would be doing this multiple times per day. Spent 3 nights during the Christmas weekend and the hotel was decorated, the grounds were perfectly manicured and nicely lit with holiday lights. Rooms were very large and a dog friendly resort with many walking paths for people and pets. Hospitality was great and, with the exception of a front desk check in delay - which management quickly rectified […] when notified, all was perfect. Hotel's recommendations of outside restaurants were great as well--but definitely eat at the 2 places within the resort--well worth it in value and taste. This is now our place when looking for a Tucson getaway! Les mer

I stay here about once a week for business. The hotel service was great, remembering me from last time.

The main pool by the lobby is the best. Heated in the winter with the jaccuzi right there. Very nice. Could hear a little noise from our neighbor one morning. Otherwise, everything was excellent.
