Fantastisk hotell med god service hele veien fra ankomst, til hjemreise. Hadde de-lux rom som var stort, også med stort flott bad. Fantastisk renhold, opptil flere ganger pr dag. Flott område med akseptabel gangavstand til det meste (shopping, kultur.....). Skal vi tilbake, vil vi uten tvil velge samme hotell.

Hotellet Stylish Room ligger i nær beliggenhet til Spansketrappen. Selve inngangen er litt borthjemt, men skiltet viser vei og man må bare følge ringeklokkene innover for å komme opp i andre etasje i et lite, koselig og moderne hotell. Rommene, resepsjon og spisesal har et moderne preg og er i sterk kontrast til mange andre hotell i byen. Rommene er enkelt innredet, men fine og ok størrelse. En hyggelig betjening er behjelpelige med mat uten om frokosttilbudet, og de tilbyr i tillegg en bringetjeneste til Fiumicino for en grei sum. Dette er med andre ord et hotell jeg kan anbefale og et fint utgangspunkt for Romaferien. En fin bonus til hotellet er flere gode restauranter i nær beliggenhet, og spesielt den rett under til venstre. God tur!

Skal du være mye på rommet, er dette feil hotell. Rommet var lite, trist og mørkt. Ellers var servicen god, beliggenhet like ved Peterskirken, facinerende restaurant. Minus for at det kostet å benytte internett.

Helt spesiellt hotell, følte jeg bodde i et historisk museum. Det har perfekt beliggenhet rett ved Petersplassen og ikke minst står sightseeng bussene rett uten for døren.
"Nær Petersplassen"
Dette hotellet er for deg som har sans for historie. Den ligger i veggene og i interiøret. Rommet er strengt enkelt, uten bilder og med knirkende skap. TV og minibar et velkomment moderne innslag. Rent. Omgivelsene utmerket med en rekke spisesteder ganske nær. Metro ligger i passelig gangavstand, og tar en til sentrale stoppesteder.

spennende hotell i et gammelt palass fra slutten av 1400-tallet. Betjeningen var vennlig og hjelpsom. Rommet var enkelt, men romslig. Rommet kunne godt hatt en liten sofa. Vi hadde med frokost og den var god og rikholdig. Det var varmt da vi var der i slutten av august, så vi satt ute i den koselige hagen og spiste. Det som trakk ned var at det var […] slitt teppegulv på rommet og badet var ikke helt oppdatert. Det burde vært dusj i stedet for et slitt badekar med hånddusj og uten forheng. Les mer

Hotellets beliggenhet er helt topp iforhold til serverdighetene. Dessverre er ikke deres form for aircondision det samme som det vi tenker på. Rommet ble ikke kaldt, med 40 grader utenfor ønsker man det seg kaldt inne.

Trist og kjedelig hotel. Vi fikk et rom paa toppen med kjempe sma vinduer, som gjorde rommet veldig morkt. Ikke bra frokost. Ligger i den delen av Roma hvor ting stenger tidlig (feil side av elven, for de som ònsker a vaere naermere der ting skjer)

Rent, koselig, perfekt lokasjon og meget bra standard. Fikk et tilbud på oppholdet, og anbefaler å slå til dersom lignende tilbud er å finne.

If you are going to spend some time at the Vatican, this is the place to be, 1.5 blocks away from the basilica. Great service, friendly people, and very comfortable. "Beautiful old world hotel"
Arrival at this hotel was such a soothing experience. Having transferred from an adequate but impersonal and uninteresting hotel in another part of the city, and having traversed St. Peter's Square teeming with people on a Sunday, I entered the calming atmosphere of an old palazzo, cool and quiet and very elegant. I couldn't have been better pleased. […] The public rooms are magnificent and filled with antiques. My room, while not ultra-luxurious, was quite attractive and clean and had a pleasant view of the narrow side street. The area is superb, being just steps from the entrance to St. Peter's. There are nearby bus stops, but the Metro is about a 10 min. walk. I will definitely plan to stay there again when I am in Rome. It cost a bit more than the other non-descript hotel where I first stayed, but it was worth the extra. My only complaint was the lack of free internet for which they charge either an hourly fee or a daily fee (if you use it, of course). Breakfast was not included, but I don't eat breakfast anyway. One of the best in a long list of hotels throughout Europe. Very helpful front desk. Just about perfectly located, with front row seats to the Vatican.

I was amazed at the proximity to the Vatican this hotel was. Staff was great. Understood English. We needed a ride to the airport, I told the desk when we checked in the date and time. My stay was enjoyable. The hotel is amazing I loved its antiquity and is very well placed for St Peter's square and the Vatican also the Sightseeing buses are available from across the street. "Hotel Columbus-great location, great history"
You can walk to The Vatican and get on the hop on hop off bus at the front door of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even charged our cell phones. The very nice buffet breakfast can be eaten in a beautiful room inside or on the patio outside. We enjoyed out stay and would stay there again.

Thank goodness we spent only 2 nights out of a 2 week trip to Italy. "Girls trip" , 4 of us, without husbands in mid-September, 2011. Temperature was hot and humid, in the 90's F."Air conditioned" but "family room" with 2 separate bedrooms had portable air conditioning units which you had to put the exhaust pipe out of the window, which was close to […] the ceiling, letting in hot air!!! One leaked water all over the floor and the other just did not work. we were more concerned about the wet floor (old monastery) than the staff and nothing was done!!!! Room was dark due to the small, very high windows. Bathroom tub had no enclosure for a shower, but had shower hose. Difficult for older people. Room was clean. The best thing about the hotel was it's location for seeing the Vatican area. St. Peter's Church was very close and amazing at night when the busloads of tours leave for the day. This hotel is perfect for first time to Roma the location is at St Peters Square the neighborhood lovely the service excellent. The history over whelming. The bed wasn't so comfortable. They had a board under the mattress and also the shower was very small.

The location inside Vatican City is very convenient if you plan on spending all of your trip there. Overall, the hotel was clean and the breakfast buffet was delicious, but when it came down to the room, ehhhh. I traveled with a friend and I don't know if you are aware, but there are two things you need to know: the beds in italy are very narrow and […] uncomfortable and there is pretty much no such thing as air conditioning. hotel lacked air conditioning and made for no sleep the first night. the gardens were reserved for a company dinner, as well as the dining room. there was no place to get fresh air, aside from the from of the hotel near the street. 12 and under were supposed to be free, but they charged for our daughter. needs some main. to rooms for sure

The hotel is very old. Hot water and air conditioning didn't work, no Internet in the rooms, wifi at the public area is very expensive and doesn't work very well, keep charging even after logout. Rooms are very small, very old and uncomfortable bed and sofa only 1 tiny little lift. Not good for value.

All this and your 1 block from the St Peter's square. All of romes bus tours start in front of the hotel everyday. Well located very close to the Vatican. 15 minute walk to Pantheon and other major sights. Polite and helpful staff. Good continental breakfast. Yes, the restaurant prices are quite high but there are dozens of reasonably priced restaurants within walking distance on either side of the river. There is also a supermarket and an internet point only 10 […] minutes walk along Vittorio Emanuele II street. The rooms are a little basic but very clean. "A hotel that doesn't know who it is catering for."
This is a bit of a strange review to write. If you empty out all the contents of the hotel, you will find a beautiful monastic building that has been well preserved and easy to understand how you could get a great hotel. But put all of the tat in the hotel, and it is ruined. The biggest issue is the bed-- our first room, the bed was so old and small, […] my wife and I barely fit and we sunk to the middle. When we complained, we were told that because we booked through hotels.com, we only get a the lower quality rooms (strange- because how else do you find rooms now?). However, we were finally moved up to a better room and the bed was larger and marginally better. I don't think we slept very well the remaining nights and were happy to leave. In short, the hotel is in dire need of some basic, cosmetic upgrades. We hadn't seen a tube TV in years! In any case, I would recommend somewhere else until the hotel gets its act together. It isn't a 4 star by any stretch, but could with a little work. If they want to be budget, then they are selling to the wrong crowd. The hotel and rooms are old, very basic but clean . Continental breakfast is fine with a lot of cake and sweet pastries served at breakfast Our bedroom was a family suite, however it was next to a goods lift and it was extremely noisy from about 7am in the morning with staff busying about? The hotel is close to all of the activity and most everything is within a walking distance. Food and drinks are a little pricy along with the internet and private parking is only for the luck few who show up before it fills up.

I was pleasently surprised by the size of the single room, it was much larger than I expected. It also had a little fridge for food and the breakfat was great!
"Convenient to Vatican City"
This hotel is full of history. It was built in the 16th Century as a papal residence then became a monestary up until 1950 when it became a hotel. A great hotel with a lot of history. Air conditioning is controlled by the hotel during the winter and rooms were way to wam for our comfort. Love the hotel. Highly recommended.
