Hotel Basilea - Firenze

Vi bodde 3 netter og hotellet var greit. Badet var trist ellers ok. Vi fikk meget god service fra personalet. Trange gater å navigere gjennom med koffert på slep fra togstasjonen.

This hotel has everything you need: shower, bed, free breakfast, etc. The location is decent. Nothing is really too far away, though, in Florence. It is a ten minute walk down Via Nazionale from the train station, which is nice if you have to catch an early train. The hotel has some pretty ugly wall paper and carpet, but it get's the job done. If you […] are looking for romantic atmosphere, search elsewhere. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay and get some sleep and don't care much about your surroundings, it works just fine. hotel was clean, front desk was very helpful, internet worked in the lobby for free, if you want it in your room you have to pay a euro or two. Small but clean, 5 mins from train station, close to everything, have to walk through a outdoor market area, but its downtown good for budget minded people.

We had a "standard double room" (#219) for 4 nights prepaid. We discovered that the A/C was not working in the hotel, ventilation of our room was poor, there was a subtle septic smell, TV didn't have English language channels, internet service that we purchased was spotty. The service staff are outstanding. The only issue was the A/C was out, so I would check that before you book, or request a room that is not road facing. Florence is to loud of a city to sleep with the window open.

The air conditioning wasn't working in the entire hotel during my stay. If this had been fixed (nothing done over three days by the way) then my rating would have been better. Room was a bit cramped...simply remove the large dresser and this would help. Some mold in the shower could easily be dealt with. On the positive side, the front desk was excellent. […] They explained the air problem when I arrived. They provided me the Internet access key and helped me get online on my computer (albeit in the lobby), and held my bags for me after my checkout so I could do a quick trip out to Pisa. I think some simple improvements here would make this a better place to stay! Simple stuff, but unfortunately it effects my report for this stay. Stayed two nights on a recent trip to Florence. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the train station and about a 15-20 minute walk from most attractions in Florence. The area is busy, and got a little scary late at night. Felt a little uncomfortable walkign back late. The room smelled of mildew and the air conditioner was basically non-functional, which […] made sleeping uncomfortable. The breakfast was good and the hotel staff were above average. This hotel was perfect for our recent trip to Florence - very reasonably priced, close to the center of town, and essentially provided a bed. It is very close to the train station, which is very convenient when traveling in Tuscany. We woke up in the morning and came back to sleep at night; we didn't need much more and that is precisely what the hotel […] offers. The room was very small (in fact, it fits only a bed), and the bathroom is functional enough to be clean. If you're looking for luxury, comfort, and extras, this is the not the hotel for you. I had no problems with the hotel. The employees were curtious, the location was great, and the room was as expected.

It may be quite normal for hotels in Europe/Firenze, but it wasn't so great. The room was very large, which was the good part. The carpets were very dingy looking though. And the bed was about 1 foot too short for me (I'm 6'2"). The "queen" bed seemed to be two singles pushed together. My legs hung off the edge at about mid-shin. The shower was also […] too small. You had to stand in a sink-like basin that wasn't flat at the bottom and hold the shower wand over your own head (no attachment). The basin actually looked like it was meant to be a bathtub you could sit in if you curled up in the fetal position. Anyhow, it sucked. The included breakfast was excellent though. And the location was within about a 10 minute walk of the Duomo and other city center sights. Les mer

The website advertizes both Wi-Fi and ADSL, there was neither in the rooms. We had to pay an extra 7€ to get wifi only in the lobby. When we explained to the owner that we chose this hotel because we are here for work and need internet in the room, he got so angry, claimed that he "couldn't give the money back" then he got even more angry and threw […] the 7 € back to us. In all of it he didn't let us finish out sentences and was not willing to hear us out. The hotel itself is not so nice and this didn't make us like it any more. Les mer

We stayed here for three nights. The hotel is fairly close (10-15 min walk) to Uffizi and Duomo and the train station. However, the shower was molded and the water in the toilet tank ran the entire time we stayed. The "king" sized bed was just two twin beds combined. The mattresses and comforters were old and dingy. Few boards that supported the mattresses […] fell when I turned in bed. The street was noisy at nights due to a few clubs and bars around. I would not recommend anyone to stay here. Les mer

good location, but the confort in the room is neglected. And every morning, we got woken up by people (including the room service) shouting outside the door.

We have been staying in the double room facing the yard - very quiet place, and in the morning only sound of Florence bells was heard in the room. Breakfast was good - self-service at good timing, possibility to get an extra coffee or juice, fresh deliveries bakery -mmm!

The Hotel is in a great location, about 5-10 mins walk from Firenze SMN station, 5-10 mins from The Duomo or The Academia Galleria. The decor is a little tired but functional and the staff were friendly and helpful when needed. Within walking distance of all the attractions, very convenient. Breakfast good. Noisy street but windows keep out the noise when the AC is on. Nice little terrace overlooking internal courtyard. Bathrooms typical for Italian downtown hotel -- small shower -- but functional. Overall a pleasant stay.

The hotel was in a good location, not a far walk from the train station. It was weird walking throught the outdoor merchants to get there with luggage but not bad. The streets there turn and name changes so keep looking at the map. The mini bar fridge didnt work so the meat we kept in the fridge went bad. Oh and wi-fi only works in the lobby. This was a family hotel i presume and they were only too eager to help us with information. The hotel is on a busy street but with the windows shut tight it is quiet as... with the windows wide open it was noisy and we were still able to sleep. Close to the Market and walking distance to most activities. The fridge was stocked with goodies and the food […] for breakfast was yummy... We would definately go back because this is living hotel style in italy for me. The air conditioner worked and if youre younger youd enjoy the night life... i felt safe here. Les mer

Hotel tres bien situé, bon marché, chambres confortables, mais deux bemols majeurs: d'abord l'hotel accueille beaucoup de groupe, et le risque est fort de se retrouver cernés d'ados en goguette peu soucieux du sommeil des voisins. Ensuite, l'hotel donne sur deux rues, via Guelfa et via nazionale. evitez absolument les chambres sur la nazionale, très […] bruyante. nous y retournerions peut etre, essentiellement pour le prix et la situation, mais pas sans nous assurer de la localisation de la chambre. Et gammelt hotel midt i Firenze by i gåafstand til de fleste seværdigheder. I forhold til prisen for ophold et ganske udmærket hotel med charme. Morgenmad kunne godt varieres lidt mere.

Ci siamo trovati davvero bene, l'albergo Basilea offre una buona combinazione di qualità-prezzo. La colazione è abbondante e il personale gentile e disponibile. E' ideale per chi ha voglia di visitare la città per la sua comoda posizione vicina sia al centro che alla stazione di Santa Maria Novella. Mycket trevlig och service-intriktad personal. Bra läge i Florens med närhet till tågstation, centrum och sevärdheter. Tämligen lyhört i hotellrummen, men på det stora hela ett oerhört prisvärt hotell.

Ho soggiornato all'Hotel Basilea a Firenze. Comoda sistemazione, colazione buona ma l'unica cosa che non mi è piaciuta è stata la qualità del caffè. Posizione strategica per visitare il centro città. Comoda sistemazione per l'auto con un garage vicino all'hotel in via Orsola.

un buon hotel per un soggiorno breve e per chi non ha grandissime esigenze

In condizioni normali, il rapporto prezzo qualità sarebbe buono a parte qualche dettaglio, ma l'assenza di aria condizionata (presente in tutte le stanze nella presentazione della struttura) lo rende assolutamente da sconsigliare durante i mesi estivi.

Très bien placé mais vieillot bien que l'on puisse remarqué qu'il est en cours de réfection intérieure. les chambres viennent d'être repeintes et sont bien entretenues. la clim ne fonctionne pas du tout et n'est pas près de fonctionner. des ventilos ont été mis à notre disposition. Mycket prisvärt hotell. När man väl fått grepp om staden insåg man att läget var mycket bra. Vänlig och tillmötesgående personal. Inte ens att vår yngste son kräkte på deras matta rubbade deras lugn! Aningen hårda sängar, men inget att egentligen göra för stor affär av. Aningen mycket ljud från gatan!

Dejligt stort værelse. God terrasse hvor hele vor familie hyggede sig om eftermiddagen. Tæt på centrum (gåafstand). Rigtig gode anbefalinger til osteria's - det bedste vi spiste på hele vor Italienstur. Venlig og kompetent betjening. Jeg kan kun anbefale dette hotel som udgangspunkt for et Firenze-besøg.

ho pernottato per 6 giorni, quindi ritengo di essere stato nel giusto quando, il quarto giorno ho lamentato che il letto non era stato assolutamente toccato da 2 giorni e la pulizia della stanza era molto sommaria. Dopo di che, sono stati anche aggiunti due faretti ai lati del letto, poichè ce ne era solo uno che penzolava da anni con i fili elettrici […] scoperti. Discreta la colazione ed il servizio annesso. Relacion calidad/precio fue muy razonable.El hotel esta un poco viejo pero la habitacion era grande, los empleados amables y el desayuno sencillo pero bueno. El hotel es centrico pero ojo si vienes a Florencia en tren.A nosotros nos dejo el tren en otra estacion en vez de la estacion central que esta muy cerca del hotel. hotelli on strategisesti ajateltuna erittäin hyvällä paikalla; rauhallisella alueella lähellä juna-/linja-autoasemaa ja tärkeimpiä nähtävyyksiä. Lähettyvillä on myös kivoja puistoja, joissa voi viettää aikaansa. Hotellin henkilökunta on todella avuliasta vaikka kaikkien englanninkielen taito ei olekaan ihan priimaa. 这个酒店感觉有点小，上网要付款7欧元24小时，要是可以免费就更好，早餐太简单，水果都没有，面包还限量供应，感觉有点小气。不过地段和服务还是不错的。
