Dette hotellet er et meget flott hotell. Her opplever man luksus og topp service i en rolig atmosfære. Hotellet ligger litt utenfor sentrum men det er veldig bra for de som ønsker ro og fin atmosfære når man er på hotelle, samtidig er det kort avstand inn til byen. De har europas beste Spa avdeling her (kåret i 2011). Dette hotellet kan anbefales på det beste.

Fantastisk opphold i Roma på et hotell med uforglemmelig service! Som et eksempel kan nevnes at en i reisefølget fylte år mens vi var der, og helt uforberedt ble vi i frokosten den gjeldende dagen servert musserende vin og hjemmebakt kake samtidig som betjeningen sang for hun som fylte året. Ellers, kan nevnes velutstyrte rom og sjeldent godt utvalg i frokosten.

Kjempebra hotell som ligger svært godt til i forhold til opplevelser i Roma. Var veldig fornøyd med hotellet, det eneste som drar ned er at sengene var litt for harde. Ellers super service. Har aldri opplevd at rommet blir ordnet 2 ganger om dagen før. Og så fikk vi sjokolade og en oppdatert værmelding til kvelden. Veldig bra hotell :-)

Rigtig fint lille hotel tæt på alt der er værd at se. Man kan gå til centrum på 10 minutter, og er generelt tæt på alle sights. Vores (tomands) rum var ret småt, men ellers ok. Pænt og rent og med et lille tv og aircondition. Tv og wifi følger med i prisen. Badet var også småt men ellers pænt og fint. Det der overraskede os mest var morgenmaden der […] var over al forventning. Der var bredt udvalg af pålæg, youghurt, cereal, frugt, wienerbrød, kage, juice, kaffe, the og sikkert flere ting jeg har glemt. Morgenmaden var rigtig god. Alt i alt vil jeg anbefale hotellet til dem der skal opleve denne fantastiske by. Det ligger centralt, er pænt og rent, og er perfekt til bare at skulle sove på og ellers være i byen hele dagen. "Enkelt hotell, midt i smørøyet"
Enkelt men veldig behagelig hotell. Pene rom, god størrelse, pent bad men igjen, veldig enkelt. Ikke kjøleskap/minibar, glass, vinåpner etc men det var ikke på rommet vi hadde tenkt til å oppholde oss så det gjorde fint lite. Beliggenheten er fantastisk! Bruker 5-10min til spansketrappen, 10min til Vatikanet, under 10min til Piazza Navona. Rolig gate […] i hyggelig strøk. Les mer

"Absolute bargain"
The hotel is situated in a quiet street close to the river but within a 5 minute walk from the Piazza Navona. We had a family room which was clean and comfortable and much bigger than expected given that this was the centre of Rome. Staff were brilliant - nothing too much trouble. The room rate included buffet breakfast which had a decent selection […] of hot and cold food. The only downside was that the breakfast room was very small which meant we had to wait each morning. Only a minor inconveniece though and given the price we paid for the room, this hotel was an absolute bargain. Would definitely return. Les mer
"We will stay here again"
Brillaint location, around the corner from the airport shuttle stop, 15 minutes walk from major spots and centre of Rome. 5 minutes walk from Tiber so easy to navigate Rome from here. Hotel excellent value, clean, friendly helpful staff, great breakfast, clean spacious room. Only minus was bathroom needed updating but loads of hot water.

Clean but noisy hotel quite close Rome city center and Vatikan. Our room were located in other building approx 100 meter away. Dont ever choose this hotel if you are travelling with own car, there isnt any parking space!

The staff is friendly and very helpful. Make sure you ask for the annex (Hotel Angel) if you are a big person or if you are travelling with someone else. the shower is a joke. I am 110 lbs and couldnt fit in there. I asked to move rooms and they didnt have a problem, I was placed in the annex; a lot bigger and more comfortable. Walls are super paper […] thin, elevator wont fit 2 ppl plus luggage (keep in mind). The location is amazing, 10 min from the Vatican; 15 min from the Metro, bus stop is on the corner. Hotel staff was helpful; location near Vatican was convenient; room was clean but so tiny we had to keep 1 suitcase in the closet, back packs piled on top of one another. Other rooms (we noticed on our way out) were a comfortable size. Ask to see you room before you get settled in. Would have enjoyed our stay more had we not had such cramped quarters. walking distance to Vatacin. Safe area and most vendors spoke english.Staff was very friendly. Outside noice could be heard in room. If you like Bourbon street in New Orleans this is the Hotel for you.

first the good things,the hotel is very clean and a 5 min walk to the vatakin and less than 45 min walk from the coloseum,the front desk is very helpful in directions and it is in a good neighborhood and if i go back to rome,i will definately stay there again.the not so good things are,the bathrooms are very small as well as the elevator but as i said,i […] would definately recomend Les mer
"Hotel Sant Angelo Rome - close to main sights"
The hotel was very hard to find and initially we panicked when we found the annex that was half built and thought this was the hotel! Rooms and beds very comfy. Extra pillows provided on request. Breakfast was lovely - a great choice with lots of fresh fruit. Room was nice with a large TV although no English channels available. Only downside was walls […] very thin so the man snoring in the next room was deafening. Location good nice quiet street but to get a decent trattoria you need to head over the bridge. The restaurants in the nearby area were very expensive. Quick tip too, if you get the shuttle bus from the airport you can get off at the first stop which is Piazza Cavour which is a 2 minute walk then to the hotel. "good hotel"
This hotel was different. The conceirge was in a different building than our room. The floor below us was lawyer offices. It was not recently updated however it was clean and we always felt safe. There was a working safe in room. The bathroom was tiny but it was fine (the shower had a issue, it was not draining fast enough). We were close to main attractions. […] we walked everywhere and taxi stand was also very close. There was no breakfast included hower the bar/cafe right across the street was very friendly and we had for 3 euros 2 cappaccino and 2 croissants. VERY inexpensive and tasty. Les mer

The hotel was very centrally located to all the sights. It was reasonably priced comparatively speaking. But, It was on a very noisy street and the room was not sound proofed at all.

"Crappy service"
When we checked in at the Hotel Sant Angelo, it took them 45 minutes to process the papaerwork. We had booked two rooms for four adults. We were assured that there was also complimentary breakfast in the morning. We also asked about wifi in our rooms. They told us they would call us in our rooms to give us the passwords for the wifi. After three hours, […] I went down to the front desk and asked about the wifi again. They told me there "guy" was unavailable, and they would get it to me later. two more hours later, I went down to the front desk and was finally able to get it after standing there for twenty minutes. The next morning, we sat down for breakfast, and they told us that one room included the complimentary breakfast, but that the second room was not included!! They wanted the two other adults to pay eight euro each for breakfast! We paid the same rate for both rooms, but they were trying to scam us for 16 lousy euros. We got up and had breakfast at a place down the street. We came back, and it took them an additional 50 minutes to check us out of the room, and then demanded a two euro per person city tax after I had already paid for the room in full through hotels.com. They were very rude about everything, and I would not advise anyone to stay at this hotel. Les mer
"Not bad"
I booked two rooms. My fiance and I stayed in the annex and our room was spacious, clean and updated. The other couple stayed in a much smaller, outdated yet clean room in the original hotel building. The woman that check us in, as well as anyone we called, was very nice and helpful. "Hotel Sant Angelo - Satisfied With Our Choice"
We chose the Hotel Sant Angelo for a one-night stay in May 2011, prior to a cruise. We selected it based on price and location, in screening rooms with average reviews of 3.5 or better. Our room was not in the main building, but just a block away on the opposite side of the street and we knew to expect that, having reserved it for a slightly lower rate […] than in the main building. We don't have a clear memory of our room at Hotel Sant Angelo now, but we remember it was fine for our short stay, and our option of not including breakfast in our booking worked out well with the convenience of an inexpensive little coffee & pastry shop across the street. Their was a noise that sounded like clanking dishes coming from someplace nearby in the late night hours, but aside from that the room was quiet. The bed was firm and looked like it might not be comfortable, but it was fine and we slept comfortably. The location would be convenient to St. Peter's, but we did not go there until later in our trip. We spent our afternoon out walking through the Piazza Navona and areas around there, which were easily walkable from the hotel. My only negative comment is that we should not have taken the desk clerk's advice about going to a restaurant she strongly recommended on the little Isola Tiberina island on the Tiber River. It was not at all convenient to the hotel, although it was a somewhat interesting bus ride and the food was good. But our complaint was that we believe she misrepresented it, telling us "you will see 20 or 30 restaurants along there" and we could look at all the menus but she strongly recommended "the last one" and instead we got there to find that the restaurant she recommended was the only restaurant in the area at all. We could not find any others either on Isola Tiberina itself or facing the island or anywhere near it. "Good affordable hotel"
This hotel is right in the heart of famous attractions in Rome, and is about a 10 minute walk from the Vatican and Piazza Navona. One small negative about the location was that at night, you had to walk about 2 or 3 blocks through an unlit section of the city to get there. I never felt like I was in an unsafe area, but it was dark, and that may make […] some people a little uneasy. Perhaps there would have been a better lit route for us to take, I'm not sure. The service overall was good, but one of the three staff members we encountered was a little rude. The shower was also very very weak, so bathing wasn't easy. Overall for the location, I would recommend this hotel to a friend and definitely stay there again. Les mer
"Uncomfortable"
The hardest bed I have ever attempted to sleep on. The plumbing system needs a lot of work because it makes so much noise. However, this room had a pretty good sized shower, which is hard to find in Europe. It's in a great location, but the hotel staff is not very friendly nor helpful, and the breakfast is just coffee, juice, yogurt and a few choices […] of breads/pastries (none of them good). For the price, this hotel is definitely not worth it. If it were substantially less expensive then I wouldn't have minded the discomfort as much. Les mer

The hotel has two front offices (since they have rooms in two different buildings), so this can be confusing to arriving travelers. The staff is very courteous. Our room was in-between refurbishment, but this did not interfere with our use of the room and everything you'd expect was in good working order. "Great location was not enough"
First, the positives: the location is fantastic, and some of the staff were friendly and helpful. Nowe the negatives: this is NOT a three star hotel. The problems were many. The tv did not work, and although we mentioned it every day, they never came to fix it. The internet computer did not work except for the first day. There was no safe in the room, […] and were told safes were only in superior rooms, even though we were told at check in that we were being given a superior room. When i asked for extra hangers, and for one hanger for trousers, I was told that my request was "too much; too difficult." The breakfast ran out of food if you did not arrive before 9:00. "We are experiementing" they told us. (!) With what? How cheap you can be? We asked for a single bed, and instead we were given two tiny beds -- smaller than twin, barely wider than a cot. I am a frequent traveler; I have stayed in 5 star and 1 star hotels. This was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. I stonrgly reocmmend yo stay away from this hotel. Les mer

Excellent staff, adequate breakfast, clean room with space; however, the walls are very, very thin and I heard the next door activities each night I was there (from being sick to "you know what"). If you sleep through anything, this is an excellent hotel, if you don't you may want to possible consider another hotel. "Location and Cost a Winner!"
We stayed here pre and post a cruise. It was definitely central to the sites we wanted to see in Rome and in Vatican City (easily walking distance). We read the prior reviews and knew what to expect in accommodations. The room amenities were minimal but we spent our day visiting sites so it was not an issue for us. It was very clean and the staff could […] not have been more accommodating. The breakfast was well beyond just "continental". Enjoy! If we used this as a home base for an extended Rome stay we might have chosen an upgraded hotel but for our needs it was better than fine. We roll with the punches and the small elevator was not a big deal. We appreciated the quiet. We definitely enjoyed our brief stays. Kudos to the staff!!! Les mer
"Quality location and value"
The Hotel Sant Angelo was within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to do (Forum, Coliseum, Villa Borghese, Vatican, etc). The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was decent by continental breakfast standards. The room was moderate size but plenty large compared to some other European hotels I have stayed in. Overall, the cleanliness was good. […] The one thing I didn't like (but have noticed in countless European hotels) is that a double bed is no more than two twins pushed together. Oh well, great location and great price too! Les mer

I was very happy with my stay at the Hotel Sant'Angel. Biggest plus: fabulous location. Walking distance from the Vatican and very easy to find - just walk up the river, then one block over. The room was small, but fulfilled our needs excellently. A great place to stay and a welcome retreat when we needed down-time. That all the people at the desk spoke […] English was really nice, too. "Good room for the money"
Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are small and dated but functional. Location is within easy walking distance to Piazza Navonna, Vatican, Spanish Steps, Metro and Bus stops. If you're looking for a place just to clean up and sleep, this is a good value in a city where hotel rates are high.

Hotellet lå i gå-afstand fra næsten alt i den gamle del af Rom. Stille kvarter i byen. Med rigtig god service - det eneste minus var at der kun var italienska kanaler på tv'et; men det skulle blive ændret i løbet af foråret. Vi kan kun anbefale hotellet
