Great rooftop terrace. Small rooms, but everything you need is there. Walking distance to main attracions. Good breakfast.

My girlfriend and I stayet here for two nights after a week sailing. It was a lovely experience and very relaxing. We enjoyed the stylish hotel and very nice touches! The room was comfortable and minimalistic. Only thing missing was a proper shower door to avoid the bathroom floor getting wet. But that minor annoyance was soon forgot with the greek […] welcoming sweets. Because it was Easter we also got two red dyed Easter eggs, some traditional cookies and a letter explaining the Easter celebrations! Very nice. The breakfast was amazing: they had a proper buffet breakfast with nice bread, fresh orange juice, cappucino (if you ask), that great greek yoghurt, some spicy sausages and more. Take your time for breakfast. The hotel gym and sauna was small and a bit cramped, but functional for a treadmil run. Swimming pool was not heated (refreshing), and the rooftop terrasse had a nice chill-out lounge feel. Great place to recover after a busy day sightseeing. Hotel drinks was pricey, but I guess you pay for the view... Hotel price was definitely reasonable with the out off season rebate. Les mer

Nyoppusset og delikat hotell med fine rom og et flott bad. Utmerket frokost med godt utvalg og ferske produkter. Herlig takterasse med basseng (lite) og utsikt til Akropolis. Grei beliggenhet. God valuta for pengene. Anbefales!

Vi opplevde hotellet som helt fortreffelig. Det lå meget sentralt til i forhold til Monastiraki, Plaka og Akeopolis. Betjeningen var hyggelig og hadde meget god setviceteft. Når vi reiste tidlig fra hotellet for å ta båt fra Pireaus ordnet de matpakke til oss i og med at vi dro før frokosten startet. Frokosten var forøvrig veldig god. Vi var på familie ferie med 2 tenåringer. Alt fra rommene, frokost og den fine takterrassen var av topp kvalitet. Gratis tilgang på PC'er er ok når en har med tenåringer som skal kommunisere med venner i Norge. Likeledes hotellets beliggenhet, sentralt og i gå avstand til det meste. Et lite minus var støy fra gaten, men det må en forvente når en bor […] i sentrum. Beøker vi Athen flere ganger, vil vi bruke Fresh, vi hadde et trivelig opphold der !. John STR. Les mer

Hotell med god service, gjennomført, forseggjort stil, og fine, nyoppussede rom (lite, dårlig TV) - Mange har balkong. Svak lydisolering mot korridor. Flott takterrasse med et lite basseng, solsenger, sofaer og bar hvor man kan få servert mat og drikke hele dagen. Fra hotellet er det kort vei til metro og handlegate. Meget sentral beliggenhet med gangavstand til det aller meste, og rett ved holdeplass for hop-on hop-off buss. På forhånd litt skeptisk pga antydninger om noe tvilsom beliggenhet. Lå riktignok vegg i vegg med lugubert hotell, men bare 50 meter fra hovedgate og vi opplevde ingen ubehageligheter. Meget fint Design-hotell, små, men meget fine rom. Særdeles […] bra renhold. Familie med 2 tenåringer satte stor pris på flott takterasse med pool, bar, restaurant og utsikt direkte til Akropolis.Uvanlig bra frokost, men dyr (22 Euro). 3 pc-er til fri bruk av internett, betalte heller ikke for utskrift. Blid hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening. Skal vi tilbake til Athen, bestiller vi nok her igjen ! Les mer

lovely place, wow, stunning terrasse with a view and a pool, excellent breakfast with more food than you can eat. Perfect location to take a walk close to main attractions.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the fresh hotel. The staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. Such a clean, well presented hotel along with friendly staff " what more could you want". As for the area, yes it looks a little run down and deprived but no ones bothers you and we went out very late at night. Just take care as you normally […] would in any unfamiliar environment. We stayed at Fresh Hotel for a week in December. It was very clean and the staff were friendly. We appreciated the traditional cookies that we received every day at the front desk, as well as the spoon sweets that welcomed us to the room the first day. The breakfast buffet is wonderful! There are a lot of food options, and it was a huge plus to the […] hotel. The neighborhood is within walking distance to the Acropolis, however, it is not directly in Plaka. It is right near the meat and fish market, and the vegetable and fruit markets, which is really neat during the day, but it means that the area is very busy. I have stayed at Fresh twice now and would have no hesitation in staying again. I love the modern decor, the roof terrace and bar and also the warmth of the lobby (both the reception and the fireside area). People do need to be aware that the surrounding neighbourhood is a little 'dodgy' however. In the daytime it is fine and you are within walking […] distance of many of the sights. At night stick to taxis however and if you do that, you'll be fine. I think the good value that the hotel offers is a reflection of this and I appreciate that. I will definitely return! Les mer

FABULOUS

Hotel is located close to the Acroplis and the main shopping. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our bed was very comfortable and the rooms were clean. Only problem was the shower leaked water everywhere which is quite annoying and the bathroom is tiny. The breakfast is fantastic with fresh frui, fresh bakery items and even freshly squeezed orange […] juice. The pool area is also fantastic and gives you a great view of the Acropolis. Would definetly recommend this hotel and would stay again without hesitation Les mer

I would definitely stay in the Fresh Hotel again. It is centrally located near the city hall and within walking distance of both Omonia Square and Monastiraki Square Square via Athinas Street. The Acropolis is a modest uphill walk from Monastiraki. The view at night of the lighted Acropolis from the hotel's roof is spectacular. Our room was very clean […] and well appointed, and the included breakfast was excellent. The TV has channels in several languages including English. We can't compliment the staff enough for their helpful attitude. They were always willing to help out (such as finding a private car to transport someone during the transportation strike which happened while we were there) or taking us to a nearby store to get a watch battery. The neighborhood at night can be a little worrisome, but we had no problems. One lady had an encounter with a street person across from the hotel when she arrived, but the staff immediately came to her assistance and got the man on his way and the lady into the lobby without further incident. Our taxi driver said the Fresh Hotel was the best value in Athens and we certainly agree. All in all we were very pleased with our stay at the Fresh Hotel. Les mer

Although in the grittier part of Athens, Fresh is conveniently located to two subway stops and the less touristy part of Athens (Psyrri). Fantastic modern design and furnishings. Friendly and knowledgable service. Tasty breakfast buffet. Clean and comfortable. Excellent value.

Room was okay. Nothing special. Bathroom and floors a little run down but clean. Staff was very kind and helpful. Restaurant and bar on the 9th floor is amazing. Great view of the Acropolis in the day and night. Staff is great at the bar/pool/restaurant and very helpful. HOWEVER, hotel is located in a very shady area! Not a great place for a young […] family or if you are staying alone. There is an adult store right next to the front entrance and another one around the corner. At night, there are ladies soliciting business on the same street. Hotel was fine but locate and area was scary. Les mer

A cool oasis in the city centre. A modern hotel with a fantastic roof top pool and restaurant. A real oasis of modern designer comforts inthe centre of the city. Other reviews have questioned the "desirability" of the location, which isnt the smartest, but is great if you want to be in the centre of this bustling city. 5* from me. Fresh Hotel was both a pleasant surprise and also had some annoyances. The rooms are amazing, expecially the high floor west facing rooms with views of the acropolis and the setting sun. The rooms are clean, stylish, comfortable and safe. The Korres bath products are great. However, the Front Desk staff leaves something to be desired. Checking in took […] an eternity, and checking out took almost as long. Hire some more staff people! The rooftop pool and bar are great, with exceptional creative cocktails although they cost 11-15 euro each! Overall I would recommend this hotel, but with some reservations about the staff and the sketchy neighborhood! Les mer

the hotel offered airport transit and this is one of the reasons why we picked it. we were there during the taxi strike and no pickups were offered. we were told we had to book it in advance when we called to confirm our flight arrival time. there was of course no space available. we were never notified that we had to schedule in advance or that it […] could be full and we woud be left taking the metro. we also need transit back to the airport for an early morning flight but the earliest available departure was 8am and our flight was at 8.50am so they said they would try and get us other means of transport. i guess they found someone to drive us but it was going to be 55 euros. so we ended up getting up at 5am and taking the metro. the hotel itself was great but the location was very seedy. leaving the hotel at 5.30 for the metro the streets had prostitues and men heckling us. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL IF YOU NEED ANY KIND OF TRANSPORT. they offer it but it is basically unavailable. Les mer

This hotel is excellent! I only had a one night stay but i was offered transfer services to and from the port and airport, the room was clean and modern, with a very comfortable bed and amazing pillows!! The facilities are exceptional especially the rooftop pool and cafe with a view of the acropolis! giant cushion sunbeds to lie on and have lunch by […] the pool made my stay heaven, and the buffet breakfast had everything you can imagine on offer. I know on many sites The Fresh Hotel gets slammed for being in a "sketchy" neighborhood. First of all, the neighborhood is not any more dangerous than any other neighborhood in a major city. If you are a smart traveler with some common sense, you'll be perfectly safe. Secondly, it's not the hotel's fault if you don't like the neighborhood--they can […] only control what goes on inside their establishment. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful--probably some of the best service I've received from any hotel in any country that I've traveled. The rooftop bar has an unmatched view of the Acropolis and Lykavittos Hill. The hotel is within walking distance of any major attraction within Athens--my wife and I walked from our hotel to Lykavittos Hill--a longer walk, but very fun exploring. Les mer

After spending 13 days island hoping in Greece we came back a day before our flight. I guess we chose the Fresh Hotel bc it was our last night and we didnt really care..MISTAKE. We arrived in Athens late from Mykonos and its a pretty far drive from the main port in Athens. Next our room we got reeked of urine. They did give us another room, but the […] overall feel of the rooms felt very dirty. I dont mind the prostitutes working, but the area is def not a nice area. Breakfast was decent and better than the rooms/hotel. Would not recommend. Les mer

Simple, sparse, clean, bright, wonderful personnel, great rooftop bar/dining, and a pool. Views of the Acropolis from the roof. Not the best neighborhood, but the metro is only a 5 minute walk away.

Great hotel, great pool with a view of the Acropolis. Just great really. I have stayed in Athens a number of times & this is the best. I will definitely be back next time.

We stayed over at the Fresh Hotel on our return from Santorini and before flying out the next day for home. Athens itself was quite a jolt after being on a very tourist-friendly island for a week. The taxi driver was a little crazed and the staff at the hotel seemed to be so, as well. They were nice enough but seemed to be very busy (at 11pm at night). […] The condition of the hotel was nice and fairly modern, same as the room. The most enjoyable part was going to eat at the restaurant on top of the hotel. What a view! The food was great as well as the service. Pool was small but elegant. I enjoyed my stay at Fresh Hotel in Athens. It was nice to stay in a nice and clean hotel after walking around Athens which is a pretty dirty place no matter what neighborhood you stay in. The location was good; close to the metro and if you take the tour bus, it passes the Hotel's area 3 times. It was nice to hop on and off the tour bus and not have […] to sit through the entire tour everytime. Fresh had the best breakfast of my entire 15 day trip to Greece. Free Internet in the room was a plus. Les mer

This is a Best value hotel. The Girl in the Lobby is a 5 start attendance

The hotel service was excellent, and staff very friendly and accomodating. Area is not great, and would personally rather pay a bit more for a better area in future.

This is not the first time I stay in this hotel. Not because it is situated really in the heart of Athens, but because my memory of the stuff and and the interior of the rooms was excellent. They even remembered that I stayed there before. If you stay there, don't miss the Panorama bar on the 9th floor. The only trouble I had was to enter the underground […] garage, as it was very small and if you are with a SUV or something of this kind, it will be impossible for you to enter. Outside the hotel is really impossible to park the car. Les mer

Reaaly nice hotel, with very friendly staff. Pool area was cool and excellent view.

Staff was friendly and rooms did the job. However, the location of the hotel is not in the best neighborhood. The hotel is a bit hidden from the subway station and finding it could be a challenge especially since the neighborhood is a bit ghetto.

Nice enough Hotel (although slightly more style than substance) The surrounding area is very unatractive and did not feel at all welcoming or safe. On a positive, the rooftop bar was nice (although very, very expensive for what you got)

Hotel was very comfortable and had free wifi (no password required, just turn on your device and off you go) which was a nice touch. The roof pool / bar served a good selection of drinks, the food was good and the view of the Acropolis was spectacular. I would recomend this hotel, although we were told that the area was a little rough but we went out […] at night, and didn't see anything untoward. Nice hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful in navigating the nearby neighborhood for some needed accessories. Location is fine, about 5 blocks from the main Monstariki train station which services the airport however I strongly encourage you to take a taxi to the hotel if arriving after dark as the neighborhood quickly falls off about a block west […] of the hotel. Room was fashionable and comfortable. The only complaint is the rooftop lounge / restaurant. While it has a wonderful view of the Parthenon, the service and beverage prices are ridiculous. Was not a fan of the 4.50 euro hidden charge for mineral water that our server poured us without our permission. Perhaps I'm just a bit jaded by Athens trying to constantly scam a quick buck on us.. as that was our experience through and through. Overall nice hotel, would stay again and find alternatives in the area for dining. Also the complimentary breakfast was first class. Les mer

I am so glad that we stayed here, because it absolutely made our stay in Athens a success. Athens is filthy and most areas are in serious neglect-- especially the block and surrounding blocks this hotel is on. Please be aware that you will not feel safe outside this hotel at night, we saw several arrests taking place, lots of hookers and filthy abandoned […] buildings. (But cabs are cheap there, so just be prepared to take them.) However, the pool and roof bar/ lounge area is a WONDERFUL place to spend your day! We woke up and relaxed up there all day and headed out to the sights around 4 PM, and that was a perfect itinerary for our stay in Athens. Beautiful design, great in-room products, fantastic breakfast. Only other bad thing is that there is no way to leave the AC on in your room while gone, so it's a bit uncomfortable when you first come home. Les mer
