Fresh Hotel - Aten

Stilig hotell, god frokost, men vi bestilte oppgradert rom -som absolutt ikke svarte til forventningene. Rommet var svært lite og trangt, det var nesten ikke garderobeplass (kunne ikke henge opp en kjole engang) og det var ingen plass på badet til å sette toalettsakene. Romfasilitetene tilsvarer absolutt ikke fire stjerner!

Hotellet er som en oase i byen. Friske farger, vennlig og god service og en fantastisk takterrasse med basseng og bar. Delikat frokost. Deilig å sitte der med en drink og nyte utsikten til Akropolis.Deler av nabolaget er litt slitent, men går du i riktig retning (mot metroen) er det helt OK, og det er noen gode restauranter i nærheten. Great rooftop terrace. Small rooms, but everything you need is there. Walking distance to main attracions. Good breakfast.

My girlfriend and I stayet here for two nights after a week sailing. It was a lovely experience and very relaxing. We enjoyed the stylish hotel and very nice touches! The room was comfortable and minimalistic. Only thing missing was a proper shower door to avoid the bathroom floor getting wet. But that minor annoyance was soon forgot with the greek […] welcoming sweets. Because it was Easter we also got two red dyed Easter eggs, some traditional cookies and a letter explaining the Easter celebrations! Very nice. The breakfast was amazing: they had a proper buffet breakfast with nice bread, fresh orange juice, cappucino (if you ask), that great greek yoghurt, some spicy sausages and more. Take your time for breakfast. The hotel gym and sauna was small and a bit cramped, but functional for a treadmil run. Swimming pool was not heated (refreshing), and the rooftop terrasse had a nice chill-out lounge feel. Great place to recover after a busy day sightseeing. Hotel drinks was pricey, but I guess you pay for the view... Hotel price was definitely reasonable with the out off season rebate. Les mer

Nyoppusset og delikat hotell med fine rom og et flott bad. Utmerket frokost med godt utvalg og ferske produkter. Herlig takterasse med basseng (lite) og utsikt til Akropolis. Grei beliggenhet. God valuta for pengene. Anbefales!

Vi opplevde hotellet som helt fortreffelig. Det lå meget sentralt til i forhold til Monastiraki, Plaka og Akeopolis. Betjeningen var hyggelig og hadde meget god setviceteft. Når vi reiste tidlig fra hotellet for å ta båt fra Pireaus ordnet de matpakke til oss i og med at vi dro før frokosten startet. Frokosten var forøvrig veldig god. Great location, stayed twice in one week - you can stroll out and visit the public market, very fun. The room was clean and brightly lit. The bathroom was huge and I was exceptionally happy that the hotel acceded to my request for a bathroom with a bathtub. The hotel was great! Amazing staff! Especially Elene in the reception!!!! She booked all of our restaurants for us and we were always very happy with her choices! A very pleasant hotel. Very helpful staff, they made sure we had a map with the hotel location clearly marked and the locations of the major tourist spots. Everyone spoke excellent English (our Greek is very poor!). Breakfast was very good - always plenty of options and good service. There is a nice bar and pool at the top of the hotel - but the drinks […] are pricey as you might expect in a hotel (we paid more for two non-alcoholic drinks than we did for an excellent meal later that even). It was about an easy 15 min walk from the central Metro station (Monastakis) - which is on the direct line to the main airport. If you have a small case or suitcase on wheels, you can easily walk to the hotel from the Metro station if you are reasonably fit. Our room only had a shower (no bath) so make sure you request a room type with a bath if this is important. Saying that, the shower was excellent with a nice hand shower and a large rose main shower. The hotel has free wifi (as do many places in Athens) so that was really useful. The local area looked a bit run down, but we walked to and from the hotel at night over the weekend with no problems or any concern about our safety. Les mer

Room was very well appointed and comfortable. Great bathroom with luxurious toiletries.Check in friendly and efficient. Good buffet style breakfast. The hotel is a very easy walk from monastiraki and omonia metro stations and the sights of Athens. Our room was really small, despite upgrading, but the most disappointing factor was the neighborhood. It was not the safest to safe the least. We saw this hotel on The Today show and had hoped for better quality and definitely in a better neighborhood. We would not stay here again.

Not bad for the price. Small rooms for North American standards, however it has everything you need. Excellent location. 10 mins away from Acroplis and Plaka. close to metro stations. Rooftop restaurant is amazing. I would stay there again.

We stayed at the Fresh Hotel for 1 night after returning from Santorini mad before flying home. It was the reviews on hotels.com, combined with the good price that made me pick this place. We were not disappointed! Our room was beautiful and modern, the bed super comfortable and the air conditioning very responsive. The free WiFi was also great - fast […] and easy to access.. The front desk crew were always helpful. The rooftop pool area and restaurant were very nice and the food they serve was delicious! The only tiny complaint I have is that the hot food at the breakfast buffet was more like Luke-warm food, but the fresh orange juice pretty much made up for that. I would highly recommend this hotel for a night (or longer) in Athens. Les mer

We stayed at the hotel for one night and was returning a couple days later for another night and was so happy that the staff was so helpful and allowed us to store our luggage with them for a couple of days. The hotel was very modern and clean. The staff was so friendly and always willing to help. would definitely stay here again.

Great location - I was a bit frightened because some reviews mentioned the hotel was in a seedy area, but that really isn't the case. The hotel was fresh and updated, with a central, convenient location. I loved the look of the hotel, along with the rooftop bar. restaurant, and pool. Great breakfast spread, and helpful staff.

Great hotel - modern, comfortable, great location, good price, great food & pool. We stayed on our way to the Greek islands and it was handily located near the Acropolis, but alos centrally located between the airport where we flew in and the port where we were due to catch a ferry. We had a very enjoyable stay at The Fresh Hotel. The room was very clean and functional. There was something for everyone at breakfast! The pool and Air Bar were lovely areas and very relaxing. The hotel is in walking distance of the Agora and restaurants.

Reading some other reviews about the location before my stay, I was slightly anxious. However, the location although slightly rundown, felt safe during the day and night. It is just down the road from the greek stock exchange and is only 10 minutes walk from Syntagma Square. The rooms were clean, the showers very good and the view from the top floor […] bar very good. Very nice modern hotel in a central location that was only a 15 min walk from most major attractions in central Athens. Very close to the central market. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful with advice. I would stay here again.

Just close enough to walk to Plaka area, for someone who doesn't mind walking. Restaurants and attractions all required a walk, as nothing was very nearby. Helpful staff, clean, and a good breakfast selection.

We stayed at Fresh Hotel for a week in December. It was very clean and the staff were friendly. We appreciated the traditional cookies that we received every day at the front desk, as well as the spoon sweets that welcomed us to the room the first day. The breakfast buffet is wonderful! There are a lot of food options, and it was a huge plus to the […] hotel. The neighborhood is within walking distance to the Acropolis, however, it is not directly in Plaka. It is right near the meat and fish market, and the vegetable and fruit markets, which is really neat during the day, but it means that the area is very busy. I have stayed at Fresh twice now and would have no hesitation in staying again. I love the modern decor, the roof terrace and bar and also the warmth of the lobby (both the reception and the fireside area). People do need to be aware that the surrounding neighbourhood is a little 'dodgy' however. In the daytime it is fine and you are within walking […] distance of many of the sights. At night stick to taxis however and if you do that, you'll be fine. I think the good value that the hotel offers is a reflection of this and I appreciate that. I will definitely return! Les mer

This hotel is conveniently situated for buses and the Metro. Although close to the dodgy Omonia Square it is also adjacent to the much more upmarket distirct of Monostiraki. We experienced no problems and i would recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooftop bar and pool are beautiful with good views of the Acropolis

Hotel is located close to the Acroplis and the main shopping. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our bed was very comfortable and the rooms were clean. Only problem was the shower leaked water everywhere which is quite annoying and the bathroom is tiny. The breakfast is fantastic with fresh frui, fresh bakery items and even freshly squeezed orange […] juice. The pool area is also fantastic and gives you a great view of the Acropolis. I would definitely stay in the Fresh Hotel again. It is centrally located near the city hall and within walking distance of both Omonia Square and Monastiraki Square Square via Athinas Street. The Acropolis is a modest uphill walk from Monastiraki. The view at night of the lighted Acropolis from the hotel's roof is spectacular. Our room was very clean […] and well appointed, and the included breakfast was excellent. The TV has channels in several languages including English. We can't compliment the staff enough for their helpful attitude. They were always willing to help out (such as finding a private car to transport someone during the transportation strike which happened while we were there) or taking us to a nearby store to get a watch battery. The neighborhood at night can be a little worrisome, but we had no problems. One lady had an encounter with a street person across from the hotel when she arrived, but the staff immediately came to her assistance and got the man on his way and the lady into the lobby without further incident. Our taxi driver said the Fresh Hotel was the best value in Athens and we certainly agree. All in all we were very pleased with our stay at the Fresh Hotel. Les mer

Although in the grittier part of Athens, Fresh is conveniently located to two subway stops and the less touristy part of Athens (Psyrri). Fantastic modern design and furnishings. Friendly and knowledgable service. Tasty breakfast buffet. Clean and comfortable. Excellent value.

Really funky design hotel, very helpful staff, convenient location and we booked for a really reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends/family travelling to Athens, and wouldn't hestitate to book again should I return.

Room was okay. Nothing special. Bathroom and floors a little run down but clean. Staff was very kind and helpful. Restaurant and bar on the 9th floor is amazing. Great view of the Acropolis in the day and night. Staff is great at the bar/pool/restaurant and very helpful. HOWEVER, hotel is located in a very shady area!
