The building and especially the lobby are beautiful and the extras are many. Breakfast, afternoon meal and popcorn are all included. But in my book this does not qualify to hit the top marks. The hotel is huge and it is a un-personal machine. There are huge lines for every meal, and the meals are served on plastic plates. My room did not feel perfectly clean and the bed linen were old and should have been replaced. The location is great.

Historisk sus og følelse. Det som mangler på standard (kunne vært opp-pusset en del av rommene) finner du i hotellet forøvrig. Fantastisk flott restaurant og nydelige omgivelser forøvrig.

"Roadway- not what I hoped for.."
I asked for a non smoking room the first room I was given, I walked in and I was so over whelmed with the smell of smoke I thought I walked into a bar. The second room I was given was back in a corner and smelled musky, I saw other rooms open closer to the office but I guess they were just not available. There was 1 wash cloth, no soap, there was a […] water bottle in the freezer which to me says they didn't clean the frig. The beds made noise when you moved, but the AC worked very well, other thatn kickin off and on all night.. Les mer

The staff was friendly and helpful. The accomodations were very basic and the bed was not very comfortable. There was a complimentary breakfast of some very basic items.

My experience in this hotel was very disappointing; everything about the hotel was unbearable!!!!
Some of the towels had hair on them, the television did not get the CBS channel to watch the Ncaa Men's basketball tournament, and one of the bedspreads was dirty.

The employee (Mario) was very nice, very helpful and went out of his way. The hotel was very old and the hot water was out by 9am, plus the tub drain would back up when taking a shower.

Although the beds were comfortable, the room smelled like cigaret smoke, we could hear the people next door talking, we could hear the toilets flushing and turning on the showers from other rooms. "Not by the river walk"
30 to 40 min walk to the main part of the Riverwalk . This motel is located next to and almost under the hwy. truck and traffic noise all night long. The motel is fine for what it is. The fact that they promote Riverwalk in their name is intentionally misleading. The staff were very nice and the room was clean. The location is great and its minutes away from the riverwalk, the room was clean and the staff was great, i will be staying here again once i go back next month!

After booking I saw the reviews and thought o-no but room was clean and everything worked great. Staff was nice and helpful. Very pleased with this no frills inexpensive hotel. Great place for sleeping- free wifi was a nice perk. Will stay again

"Good place near Pearl Brewery"
Stayed here one night to be close to Pearl Brewery Development and Sam's Burger Joint. Place is good for the $, a little noisy due to the nearby Interstate. Good walking area on the Riverwalk extension, you could go all the way to downtown on it if you wanted.
Drunken guests sat outside laughing from 2 am-6 am and no one did anything about it. The hotel is located in the ghetto, with no surrounding restaurants, like the description stated. A homeless man sat right outside behind the hotel.

Awful hotel! Terrinle location, not even close to the main part of the "riverwalk", though it in near a part of the riverwalk where you could get robbed. Hotel itself is old, almost derelict; front desk answered only half the time when called, and when our old school TV couldn't get the CBS channel from cable, the front desk guy came in, tried to get […] the channel, and then said: "sorry" and didn't rectify it. There was one other car there on out last night, and I asked what the rate would be, and they quoted a price that was double what I paid per night there. I would never stay here again, and would think twice before staying at any other Super 8, it was THAT bad! Les mer

"Unsatisfied"
The location of the motel was nowhere near the riverwalk and it was secluded from other hotels/motels. The room smelled of smoke and it was a nonsmoking room. The knob of the shower broke. We were given another room which wasn't any better. We complained to management they housed us at the Travel Lodge up the street from them. It was OK.

Terrible experience. To start, our room smelled horrible. A mix between mildew and dust resonated throughout. With a name like super 8 riverwalk, you would assume it is near the riverwalk. In fact, the motel was about 1.5 miles away from the riverwalk in a sketchy/apparently dangerous area. I would not recommend this motel to anyone, not a good exp […] erience. Les mer
"Hotel was close to downtown."
Our main get away was to visit our grandkids. But the location was great, easy access to downtown, Attractions. The room was clean and very friendly managment and house keeping. We would stay there again.

All together my daughter and i went through ((( 6 ))) hotel keys. ((( 6 ))) !!!. Location wise the room itself was horrible. It is directly under Highway 35. (( Directly)). If a truck were to fall off bridge it would end up at your front door hands down. When we arrived reservations ran through well. No problem there. Attendant could not figure out […] how to keep our hotel keys working. Locked out 3 times because of this. NOT GOOD IN THE COLD NIGHT WITH MY DAUGHTER. No apologies no compensation nada. We have stayed here every year on our way through San Antonio. This hotel is very good for the price. We felt safe and clean...the place is very worn but for the price is nice.

Hotel was not bad for the price. But u pay for what u get. U could hear the expressway traffic from our room and all the ambulances that went by at night. Hotel was pretty much centralized sea world was like 19 min away....downtown was like 3 min away...we were very satisfied with our stay. We plan to go back in a month to visit again....

no i would not stay there again. NOT ENOUGH TOWE;S IN ROOM. ROOM. SHEETS WERE VERY THIN AND THEY WOULD NOT DATY ON THE BED. THE ROOM WAS RIGHT ABOVE THE FREEWAY AND YOU COUD NOT SLEEP

"One night stay"
The room was clean and the staff was very nice. We just needed a place for the night on a quick weekend away from the kids. This served our needs just fine. It's not the Hilton and doesn't carry the price of the Hilton either. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend for a one night stay or for people on a budget.

"False Pretenses"
This hotel posted a satisfactory rating for the booking website. However, in truth the hotel was not at all in merit of the rating (specifically a 3-star rating on hotels.com), and further research of the hotel yielded a photo of a child with bed-bug bits covering the child's neck after a stay at the hotel. The room was not at all satisfactory, namely […] concerning stains on the sheets, urine on the bathroom floor and major appliances unplugged at time of arrival. The surrounding area was not safe or appealing either, specifically being located near a bridge and reachable through an alley. This hotel did not deserve a satisfactory rating, and I would not recommend the hotel to anyone. Les mer

Booked this room online. Definitely will not return. The carpeting of the first room was vacuumed but very dirtry. Hair in the tub. The air-conditioner was on but did not cool the room down (it was 109 that day so air conditioning was a must). Then after 2 hours, the air conditioner malfunctioned completly and started to smell. We requested maintenance […] fix it or be moved to a new room. We moved. The next room had an awful smell, like something was burning. The hotel is very close to the highway which is loud. "If you like staying under the highway . . ."
then this motel is for you. The view from our room was under the highway with all the sounds that go with it all night long. The door to the room had so much space showing that the air conditioner could not keep up with the Texas heat seeping in through the cracks. It is 1.5 miles to the Riverwalk through a not so great neighborhood. I read the reviews […] before renting and didn't think it could be that bad but it was. This place needs a total redo to come up to the Ben Franklin. Not worth it. Positives: the a/c was on high when we checked in making it a tolerable 80ish degrees in the room. The tv worked. I highly recommend that no one stay here. staff was rude and didnt really care that my things were missing. We didnt even have towels or other amenities that hotels usually leave in the room when we first came in. I have to had for them. Not only that some staff members who clean rooms have very sticky fingers. Two expensive items were missing from […] both of the rooms that i booked. I didnt get any kind of sympathy much less a sorry. Dont stay here unless u want to get your values stolen!!!!!!!! Les mer
"appropriate for occasion"
My boyfriend and I were participating in a triathlon in downtown San Antonio so the location was ideal. The hotel is older and right off a freeway but for what we needed it was ideal...only wish the price would have been less.

The room was clean and everything worked. Breakfast was ok. BIggest downfall was that the hotel was much to close to the freeway. Lots of traffic noise at night.

"nice-clean rooms"
hotel is easy to get to and close to resturants. the staff is friendly and the rooms weren't stinky. i would definately recommend this to others and will stay there again when visiting san antonio.

You would think for a hotel listed in this price range you'd get something better than a fly by night off the highway dump hotel, but unfortunately that's exactly what we got. Crummy part of town to where I didn't feel safe going out to my car at night. Wifi went down to where we couldn't use it and the office couldn't explain what the problem was or […] when it would be back up. I think the floor would've been a better sleep than the hard squeaky bed. The bed also had stains on the sheets and comforters. There were some nice upgrades in the room like granite type counters on the end tables, but for the most part this was the WORST hotel experience I've ever had. Les mer
"Super 8 Downtown Riverwalk"
The room itself was nice. Parking was not very accomodating especially if you had to park past the entrance. There didn't seem to be enough parking. The sink was very slow to drain. Overall, the staff was very helpful and nice but I don't think I will stay at this location again.

The restroom in the room did not work. Then we had to move to another room and had the same issue. In the second room, there was not a refrigarator in it to put our drinks. The the door had a large gap on top and bottom in it to where bugs could come in.

close to freeway so kind of noisy. A/C controls did not work so room was a little too chilly. Found roach in sink second day. Would have liked a fridge in the room. Lobby staff was good, but had to rotate sheet on the bed because it was 90 degrees in wrong direction.

"Good for what we needed; a one night stay"
A friend and I stayed here for one night. That would be as long as I would want to stay here. Everything is generally clean, it's just an old place that hasn't been updated with things that need to be replaced. For instance, I kept my socks on the whole time because the carpet was discolored, musty, and dilapidated. Some of the towels had slight stain […] discolorations on them. Everything worked (TV, shower, A/C, sink, toilet, ice machine...) and the beds were comfortable. I wouldn't stay here if you had small kids with you because they are low to the ground and you wouldn't want them sitting or being near that. Bring your own towel and toiletries, which I did; thank god. All in all, for the price this was what I expected and good for what we needed; a place to crash for one night after going to the comedy club and bar. Oh, the old lady at the front desk was a very nice and sweet. Les mer
For the price the hotel was great. The bathroom was clean, the bed was good and the cable TV worked. in all it was a good stay.
