"Ok for overnight..."
This hotel was ok for an overnight stay, but I wouldn't want to be there for an extended amount of time. Major renovations were going on at the time of our stay & the breakfast was terrible. However, the staff was very friendly.

"Very convenient night stop along I-70"
You will get your money worth stopping at this hotel. We travel quite often along I-70 and Colby is the middle of our trip. We usually get here late at night. We stop to rest and sleep, and then leave early next day. The rates are good and the hotel is good (clean and organized). Breakfast could be improved but for us is not a must.

This motel is convenient and quiet, but the room cleanliness should be improved. The bathroom needs updated to repair the severely damaged floor grout and tiles, and the faucet leaked. "Hotel Room okay...Breakfast, not so much"
Overall our experience was adequate for what we paid for the room. Clean, fairly comfortable, and our room (non-smoking) didn't smell like smoke! I wouldn't pay extra for the breakfast though; save your money and go to a restaurant because it left MUCH to be desired! Buscuits were cold, if not frozen, and everything else was bland. "Convenient rest stop half way on I-70"
The best thing about this hotel is its location. For travelers like myself who go back and forth I-70, Colby is the perfect midway point to stop either way. The hotel is not that expensive, although it could be cheaper for what they offer. I personally don't care that much because I only need a place that allows me to have my dog for a convenient cheap […] fee, a clean bed and a bathroom to shower in the morning. I think the manager cut hotel expenses in the breakfast to keep room rates at a low competitive price. Again I don't look to eat when I stop, however the breakfast could be improved. It is a frequent stop for construction crews and truck convoys. If you talk to the manager or whoever is in the front desk they will let you use the hot tub late at night. Also if you are hungry they have a discount if you eat across the street at the Montana Mike's restaurant. Les mer

"Overnight During Travel"
Stayed here as a stop-over during a road trip. We have 2 kids, 3y/o and 7mths. Great location, good condition, overall perfect for what we needed. Pretty good free breakfast, too!

Had to wait forever just to get checked in then when we got our room It wasn't even ready, no towels, no soap...nothing. And hot as hell, Lord help us, it was hot. Next morning not nearly enough food for everyone and I got there early as hell. Biscuits and gravy were at least two days old and no one in the dinning room could choke it down. "Good clean modest accomodations"
In a nutshell, I would stay there again if I had to. I was driving across the country and needed to stop between Denver and Kansas City. I am also on a budget. Pros: Decent simple breakfast, nice guy behind the counter, the neighborhood wasn't overtly sketchy, nobody broke into my car, the bed was clean, the bathroom was clean, the room didn't smell […] strange. Everything worked. Nice and quiet. Nothing amiss. Easy to get to off I-70. Cons: Looks like they are doing a little construction, there was plastic covering some things. Didn't affect me. Wasn't the Hilton. Bottom line: FOR THE MONEY, it's a good place to stay. Les mer

Absolutely gross! I got there and the office was clean and the gentlemen who helped was nice. check in was quick. Got to the room (which I was told was non-smoking) and there is a giant cigarette on the door- indicating a smoking room. I assumed that they renovated (there was construction on the outside of the building) and so we went in. The room smelled […] smoke free but was filthy!!! The carpet looked as though it has not been vacuumed and there was dirt all over it. It was already very late, so we did not complain- big mistake. The next morning, when I went to shower, there was still soap in the dish from when the last guest showered. I showered with flip-flops on to feel cleaner. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!! Les mer

We stopped here during a cross-country jaunt. We mistakenly left a bag of souvenirs in our room, but the pleasant and courteous staff took care of us and mailed the items to our home for us. They truly went above and beyond.

Super nice people working in the front office. The front building of the hotel is older but our room was very clean. My husband stayed in the back building a while back and said it was newer and nicer. There was plenty of space for our truck and trailer, which was very nice. Friendly staff, though they appeared to be living in the hotel and were pretty busy fixing up the room or rooms their family was preparing to live in or currently lived in. Corridors under construction. Tried to check out in a hurry and nobody was at front desk. Had to go find owners in their room to check out.

I feel like I stayed at a different hotel than the other reviewers...Although the front desk help was very pleasant and helpful, that is about where the pleasantness of this stay ended. The room smelled musty, the bathroom smelled like mildew and had a bulging and peeling ceiling, the carpet was stained and disgusting, there was dog hair all over the […] pillowcases and sheets and the air conditioning unit sounded like a plane engine. I didn't expect much from an economy hotel but I did expect the room and sheets to be clean and not falling apart. There was a "back building" that may be newer and nicer but I was thoroughly unimpressed with the room we stayed in. We will not be returning to this hotel nor would I recommend it to others. ANother minor detail is that breskfast is only available until 9:00 - fine I suppose if you are getting up and driving out of Kansas ASAP but not as convenient if you have kids to rouse out of bed. The hotel was pretty nice considering all the renovations going on both inside the hotel and outside on the street. When we checked in I asked about when she thought the noise would be stopping. She told me the inside hotel work would stop at 5pm and the outside work usually stops at 6pm. She was right and there was no noise after those times. I needed to save a little cash, so I ended up staying at this hotel. I was extremely surprised. Though there is no elevator for second floor stays, it was clean and the hotel staff was friendly, prompt in bringing a crib and extra towels.
