SUPER 8 MILES CITY - Miles City

We stayed at this location for a quick overnight stop while traveling so we weren't looking for an expensive place with all the enemities. This hotel may be among the cheapest in town but it is still over priced. The room as well as the entire hotel is old and run down with that old hotel smell throughout, can't see where any money has been put back […] into the building. Carpets, curtains, bedding are all old, towels feel like sandpaper, pillows are flat. The only thing offered for toiletries was a couple wafer bars of soap and 1 small bottle shampoo. The continental breakfast is a bad joke. Weak coffee, watered down juice, a disgusting packaged pastry laced with fat and sugar or cold cereal - yuk! It would have made all the difference if a small yogurt, fresh fruit or heaven forbid if a muffin would have been offered. It would be worth spending extra $ to stay elsewhere or we're more likely to just choose another destination. Les mer

Aside from the overall dingy, old motel odours, flat pillows, towels that feel like sandpaper, inadequate breakfast etc. I openned the window for fresh air and felt like I was on "green acres" with cows mooing and a strong stench of manure. The location ideal, staff was effective, okay for a quick sleep. Don't expect much for breakfast and bring your own pillow, only two provided and both were flatter than you know what on a platter!!

It was clean, bed was hard. staff was nice.

Back entrence looked like you were entering the bathroom to a junk yard that hasn't been cleaned in a year. Felt like asking for my money back. But it was late when I arived. So I stayed somewhere else the next night.

Clean, Quiet, TV had poor reception.

Room was very smelly and not very clean at all km. Breakfast was not good, juice watered down and food appeared old. Could not get out soon enough.

I have gone to Miles City many times and the people are so friendly, it hurts to leave. Not so at the Super 8. The front desk people were unfriendly. The stairs are in need of serious repair and the carpet could use a good scrubbing. Also, they may as well make the whole hotel smoking, because you can smell smoke even in the non-smoking rooms. I know, […] I got what I paid for. Plus, the writing was on the wall with the one star rating. If you can afford to spend a little more, do it, and go somewhere else. Les mer

Very friendly staff. Very clean Room. Convenient location off the highway, and seemed to be a safe area. Not the best breakfast.

Not a very good motel at all. Beds are uncomfortable - mattresses are old and you can feel the springs through them. The rooms are old, and and in somewhat bad shape. The cleaning staff - not once but twice - at 0830 tried just running their passkey with no knock or anything. Had the door not been double locked they would have been in my room with no […] warning. The television was very old and would not give a clear picture. Very, very unsatisfied with this stay. I stay in about 100 rooms a year, and this was one I won't stay in again. Les mer

If the Super 8 had not been the only gig in town we would have opted not to stay there. This was based on the smell and appearance of the lobby. The attendant must have smoked every cigarette right outside the door. This its ask very unfortunate, however because the room was great! It was very clean and did not smell of the smoke that seemed to be in […] every hallway. The beds were very comfortable and it was quiet. not bad for a bargain :) came in late and the people were MORE than helpful and hotel seemed to be full but still quiet and i slept well :) very easy to find and surrounded by things to see and do.

working man's hotel. good value if you need a room, not new... but everything is OK.

There were not enough outlets in the room and all of them were full. I found a lamp and the coffee maker unplugged, and I had to unplug something to have a place to plug in my computer. I found dust in some places and a leaking faucet. Breakfast was adequate but with only milk and cream cheese for protein. However, the room appeared to have newer furniture […] and to have been recently painted. Les mer

Nice hotel that I come back to and recomend.

I wasn't satisfied with the carpet, I wouldn't walk on it with bare feet. However, the weekend morning and night desk clerks were very accommodating. We wanted to eat with a group of friend after 10pm and were allow to use the breakfast area. We also had our son stay with us the second night and needed a rollaway, and was given to us without hesitation […] by day desk clerk and housekeeper. When ask by the afternoon person about this, all we were told is that she would work on it. But, no one else knew about it when asked for a progress report on the request. Les mer

There were problems with the bath tub drain, it didn't hold the water. There was also dirt on the bathroom floor and the overall cleanliness of the bathroom was poor. The room and hotel smelled like old cigarettes. There was no elevator in this hotel. Price not consistent with rating prior to arrival. Minor: No Pool

The staff was fine that interacted with at checkin. However, the room smelled like an ash tray. I'm not a smoker but this hotel requires you use a smoking room if you have a pet. The room could have been cleaned and fumigated to rid the smoking smell in the room. Even the pillows smelled of cigarettes. A solution would not to require pet owners to use […] only smoking rooms. Not fair to me or my pet. Les mer

Very decent accommodations for a very reasonable price.

We stayed at several Super 8's on our trip to keep costs down, ans this was by far the worst of them. Hotel was most out of date and the breakfast bar was pretty innadequate (we actualy grabbed breakfast on the road it was so bad). It was still a cheap and clean hotel, but I would try one of the other alternatives in the area next time.

It was ok, but certainly nothing special. No mini fridge or microwave or anything like that. They had an extremely basic continental breakfast. It was simple enough that even though I wouldn't consider it expensive I would almost consider it over priced.
