Synes dette hotellet ligger meget sentalt til,i gang avstand til 6 th street,hvor jeg tilbringer noe tid.Frokosten er vel ikke noe stort å skrive hjem om.Kunne hatt litt varm mat,som eggerøre og små hamburgere.Men alt i alt har jeg bodd der 2 ganger nå,og vil komme tilbake

God beliggenhet og kort vei til det meste enten man ønsker å dra til den gamle delen i Austin ( Continental club ) eller til sixt street. Passe god standard og rimelig. eneste man må passe på er at det er dobbel pris i helgen, men dette er forhandlingsbart

while the hotel was right downtown and easy to get to it had roaches. the hot water did not work right. the maids were beyond loud. my car was not safe because it was keyed all the way down the drivers side of the car the first night I was there. I was not able to access the wifi. then the man the cleand the pool spent more time staring at me while […] I was going to the room more then he was cleaning the pool. When I reported all this to the desk personal she acted like she did not believe me, but I was prepared for that cause I gave her the roach that I killed. So that she could see that i was true to what I was saying. I would go somewhere else. Don't stay here. Les mer

Nothing fancy, just conveniently located steps away from Downtown. You just go across the freeway overpass and you're in Redriver St. Nightlife pretty much starts there.

We chose this hotel based on the fact it was cheaper and not too far out of town. But, we also chose it because of free wifi. We needed it to look up sites and book later accommodation & transport for our trip. Wifi was not working for 90% of our stay and when it did it wasn't working in our room or was very slow. Was a bit disappointed with this as […] it felt like they weren't doing anything to rectify the problem. Breakfast was better than expected but nothing special. We found out on arrival it was on the edge of a bit of a 'dodgy' area but had no issues. Not a bad hotel but basic and you get what you pay for (except wifi!?) Les mer

The hotel is very well located. You can see the capitol and downtown. In addition is quite new and clean. It is really a good option for whom is looking for something cheap, basic but with decent service and structure.

Well when i got there the front desk was to busy to check anyone in, when he did he took forever to do it and there was a line to begin with. when i got the room card only one worked and i had to go back to get a new card and when i try the new it still did not work. Good thing I only had to stay one night..... There way better places to stay then  […] here. Les mer

Great value for the money. Clean, up-to-date room. Very polite staff.

When we first arrived to check in the person checking us in asked for my information and after that gave us our room key and told us the hotel room number pretty quick as if he wanted to leave already. I personally didn't take it as an offense. We got to our room and it was quite comfortable the only issues I saw was the parking got filled up quick […] at night, the pool was not clean at all but was cleaned on our last day there and you had to maneuver the shower to get warm water if you didn't you would get freezing cold or boiling hot. The hotel is walking distance from 6th street and we took a cab ride home both days and it came out to 4 dollars. Overall I enjoyed my stay at super 8 and hope to stay there again when we go back. If you want a cheap hotel room where you can still walk to the nightlife areas in Austin, this is the place to stay. Fancy? No. Convenient? Absolutely. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel was nice it came with a microwave and a refrigerator- although the ref was not working or maybe it was not on/plugged in I didnt even bother to check for we didnt really need it. Overall we enjoyed our stay.. -Maria-

Extreme value for the price. Super cheap AND free waffles for breakfast! The room was very clean and the motel is kept very nice. We were extremely and pleasantly surprised with the quality of this motel. It is one mile from the convention center and we could have walked if we wanted.

The hotel was surprisingly clean and comfortable. A few friends worried me about the location, but it was all around perfect. It was a quick walk from 6 street. I also forgot a shirt in the room, and it was held at the front desk for a few days for me until I had someone pick it up. The staff was helpful and polite as well.

Avoid at all cost! Nothing good to say so beware before you book the room.

The only good thing is the price. Hotel is very run down and just plain bare bones. Just don't bring a black light 'cause you'll be in for a surprise!

considering the location, i suppose it is a good rate. But 2 blocks down the road, I paid $50 less and it was way nicer. The rates may have been raised because of the football game.

Checked in for two rooms to have a Bachelor's Party in. Was the 2nd best night of my life if you know what I mean :)

The hotel is basic, good value, with good service. It is about 15-20 mins walk out of town and has a Mexican restuarant and drug store on the next block. If you're on a budget, it's fine.

Staff were helpful without being obtrusive.

Walked on the carpet and socks turn black. Not a good neighborhood, sirens all night.

We came to town for a show at Stubbs and it was only a couple of blocks away. Close to downtown, live music, the Capitol, and the UT campus. Loved having a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and free wireless Internet for a very reasonable price. Would definitely stay again.

If you need to stay on a tight budget but still want to be close to downtown Austin, this might work for you. Just off the freeway, so very easy to get in and out. A moderate walk to 6th Street and Capital building, but doable. Better by car. Don't expect anything fancy, but the room was clean and had everything I needed, including a fridge and a microwave. […] And the pool area had adequate seating and lounging areas. Les mer

It was less then a ten minute walk to the area we were looking to go (Sixth Street). The guy at the front desk was very helpful and mapped out our walk for us on a City of Austin map he had handy at the front desk. It was reasonable and kept very clean. Check out is at twelve so we were able to sleep in a little more. We would stay here again on our […] next trip. Les mer

We got this hotel for a decent price. When I checked in, they were quoting people rates almost twice what we paid per night. I don't think it's worth that but it is walking distance to 6th st and the Frank Erwin Center. If you get a good deal, it's good for the price. Myself and 2 of my co-workers stayed there for Keller Williams Mega Agent Camp which was being held at the Austin Convention Center. We knew it would just be a place to hold our bags and get some sleep. Nothing fancy. Cab ride was no more than $6.50 and with tip we gave $9 so for 3 of us it saved us bundles. From the airport the cab was $30 with tip. […] The hotel was 1 block to a CVS so it was convenient when we needed something like a toothbrush or snacks. The room was good sized, we had a double room and a roll away bed. It was a little tight getting the roll away to fit but we made it work. The carpets were dirty, our bare feet were blackened from the carpets. But the beds were clean and the room for being a budget hotel wasn't bad. It had spotty wifi in the rooms, but sometimes it was fast. It was also nice to have a mini fridge and coffee maker in the room. The bathroom is small but function-able. I did have a cold shower one day and cold flashes the rest because the hotel had been sold out and most of us were with Keller Williams so we all were showering at the same time leaving no hot water at some points. The tub also didn't drain quickly so there was some standing water when showering. The breakfast is served from 6-9am. Pretty nice continental considering. Had 3 types of cereal, fresh fruit, orange or apple juice, coffee/tea, fresh milk, instant oatmeal packets, muffins, donuts, yogurt, and make your own waffles. We were pleased since we had early sessions and food was ready. The staff were very courteous from start to finish. We had called for a broken hairdryer, the roll-away, housekeeping issue, extra pillows and towels, and issues with cable and internet - the power went out one night. They were very quick to respond and were apologetic for any inconvenience. Next year we will stay closer to the convention center because of how the conference was set up, but for leisure, I would use it again. Les mer

Convenient location, close to everything and easy to walk straight into downtown. Hotel was what I expected for the price, breakfast was standard which the added bonus of a waffle station. Pool wasnt heated and also in the car park which is a little strange but its fine really. no problems.

The Super 8 served my friends and I well as a hub for going downtown often and exploring the city. It is close enough to downtown so that cab fare is under $5, but far enough away that you don't hear the bars or deal with roaming drunks. Check in time is 3 pm, not 12 pm; which is listed on hotels.com. They only give you a parking pass for one car. […] There is a super convenient CVS across the street. If you're looking for a cheap place to crash at, this is the one. Les mer

FIrst of all I am never picky and understand I get what I pay for but customer service has no price. I arrived after hours around midnight and the fact that you have to use a side drive thru type window to check in tells you a lot about the neighborhood. You could not enter the lobby yet there were to employees standing in the dining area having a chit […] chat while I waited outside. I have never seen such a long check in process for a hotel that was already paid for online. They still do the old fashion taking a print of your card which is very unsafe. Once checked in, the neighborhood/homes right across the street people were yelling and fighting and felt like I would be hearing bullets at some point. The lightbulb was out in the lamp, the towel bar broke above the toilet dropping the towels in the toilet, the shower was more like a drip and took forever to get warm. No restaurants anything nice around at all. Five to ten minutes to sixth street but I wouldn't wait outside this place for a taxi. Worth spending extra money to go elsewhere... Les mer

The hotel and staff were very nice. The people that stayed there and partied all night were not. There should be a security guard in place to keep the noise level down. Loud people and cars roamed the parking lot until 4:00 a.m.

We did not like this hotel because of the condition of the room and the bathroom. The bedspreads were dirty, the toilet did not flush, the airconditioner did not work very well and there were crickets climbing the walls. We didn't have any towels, so we called and they did not have time to deliver them. We went to the front desk and they didn't have […] enough for our family. They said they would bring them later, but it never happened. Not a very good experience for the family. Les mer

Location was perfect for our appointment on Red River St., just around the corner. Accommodations were clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful & pleasant.

This is an older motel, but it is clean. It was in a very central location, and we were able to walk to all of the places we went. It was also a fairly reasonable price for the location.

a bit far from downtown ( half a mile to anything), but good value for money, perfectly satisfied..
