I arrived too early(one o'clock), so I waited in my air conditioned car for one hour, Right outside the room that I ended up getting. The only "cleaning" that was done in my room, was change of bedsheets, towres, and no cloth , mop og detergent entered my room that day. But I liked the room, bathroom, bed and pool area. Aldo coffee maker, hair dryer and refrigerator in my room. And the maintenance guy was hard working and very service minded. He made a good impression for the hotel. Hotel is really close to the beach, and the beach Is lovely! I would def go back!

Veldig bra senger, rent og pent, ikke veldig sentralt, nærme flyplassen. ca 5 minutter å gå til nærmeste butikk. Gratis kjapt trådløst internett, og gratis buss til og fra flyplassen, sentrum ligger ca 15 minutter unna med taxi. Jeg vil bo der igjen hvis jeg skal tilbake til Tampa.

Flott stab, hyggelige mennesker med serviceinnstilling. Fikk rom med lukt da vi kom - ble byttet neste morgen uten problemer. Kjempefin frokost i rene lokaler. Anbefales!

The resort was very well maintained,staff was friendly and helpful. The views of the ocean were beautiful. I highly recommend this resort, they have full kitchens or kitchenettes, and a Publics about a mile away!
It was a great stay. The only issue we encountered was small little water black ants in the kitchen.

Great view, loved walking on the beach. Comfortable beds, lots of space. Nicely decorated. Couch wasn't very comfortable and we got one of the few rooms with a small stand on balcony. Place was clean and quiet, great barbeque place nearby. Would stay again.

"Great family hotel & super location"
We've stayed at a few places on St. Pete's beach and this one was the best priced and just as nice and clean as the others. It doesn't have a restaurant but that wasn't a problem as there are many others along the beach to eat at. And having the kitchenette is great. Would definitely recommend it and stay there again.
Overall very nice hotel. I would stay here again.

"Close to all amenities"
Wasn't sure what I was booking. The chap who checked us in could have smiled a little bit, however we had a lovely seven days. I was a bit disappointed our room had a walkway in front of it and really overlooked nothing, although it had said pool. However as people had to walk past your door when you were sitting outside it helped us make many friends […] and we enjoyed our evenings with all our neighbours. Loads of local shops and plenty of places to eat. Tennis/table tennis etc were all free (no hidden charges). Les mer

"Great oceanside family hotel"
This is a terrific hotel on the gulf of Mexico especially if you are traveling with a family , regardless of age. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Oceanside rooms have a million dollar view without the price tag. Lots of activities to keep the kids entertained if you have spare time or just want to relax. just a short drive from all sorts of local […] attractions and lots of close ammenities within walking distance. We would surely stay at the Alden again if we head back to the gulf side of Florida. Highly recommend and good value. Les mer
"Great time"
This was our second stay at the Alden. Both stays have been wonderful. Hotel staff is great and the beach is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and the tiki bar was wonderful. The only downside is there is no libe music at the tiki bar, I think music would have been great. For the price you pay you can't beat the Alden.

"lovely beach, run down hotel/room"
The beach access is the best thing about the hotel. For a rack rate of 209, I expected the room to be much nicer than it was. It was fairly clean, butolder furniture, kitchen, etc. Also skimpy amenities, not even paper towels in the kitchen.

My daughter and few of her school friends had spring break. Let me tell you, it was the best service ever, great rooms, everything was near by. Walking distance. people who working at the hotel were great and helpful. We will recomend to anyone to stay and we will be back again. Thank you

Hotel was ok. Great location on the beach and great beach access. Rooms very outdated and refrig. smelled like fish so didn't use it. Could use some major rennovations.

We had a great time during our stay, but the hotel room itself was very small in size to what we expected for the price that we paid.

The Alden is dated in some of its appearance but not when it comes to cleanliness and comfort. The staff do an excellent job of keeping the Alden maintained. My wife and i stayed for four days in March and really enjoyed ourselves. The rooms with a kitchenette were spacious, comfortable and clean though not luxurious. We were able to relax and enjoy […] the sun at the pools and beach. The pools were very clean as were all of the walkways around the property and even the parade was spotless. We would go back next time and would recommend for others. If you are expecting five star this is not your place, but if you enjoy clean and hospitable three star locations this is your place. Hotel has plenty ammentities, that we were not able to enjoy, as we only stayed there for a day. Overall, the hotel and staff are great. "Great value"
It's an older hotel with room air conditioners but very comfortable. We had a kitchenette, king size bed and a pullout couch. Three of us. Security was great as was the room cleaning staff. The price was the lowest I found per night beachside.

We enjoyed our stay and love the beach. The hotel was very clean and convenient to everything. We also enjoyed their two pools. I do think the hotel could do some upgrading, but otherwise everything was great.
We had a gulf front room on the 3rd floor which had beautiful views of the beach. The balcony was great for reading and watching activity on the beach. The layout of the room with 2 queens in a bedroom at the back (with a door that closed) was good. There was a well-equipped kitchen and the living room (facing the beach) had a pull out bed. Wonderful Spring Break get away. Our room had a mini kitchen. The beach was beautiful. Miles of powder white sand. Tropical courtyard, tiki hut. Walking distance to many resturants. Wished we could stay longer, but will stay there again!!

Stayed here with my family of five in the Grenada Room with a beach view. Same great view as more expensive hotels! Kids had a blast in the two pools and all the other amenities like tennis, bean bag throw and pingpong. The beach was beautiful, clean, big and great for body surfing, swimming and collecting shells. Kitchen was a little small for preparing […] meals - I will ask for a larger kitchen next time. Wireless was a hassle because only one item worked at a time, while all five of us like our ipods and laptop for connecting with friends. Staff was excellent, and location was great. Les mer
"Good hotel"
The Alden was a nice hotel w/lots of on-site ammenities (convenience store, 2 pools, hot tub, outdoor cabana bar, bbq grills, laundry facilities). The beds in our room, however, were quite used and slept like a hammock. Housekeeping staff was great. Very good resort for families w/children.

"Nice place with a nice beach"
The playground shown in the picture does not exist. $10/day for Wifi is hardly a nominal fee, as that would be $300/month. Beware of Friday nights, the Cuban place across the street plays their music very loud. Only until 11:00, but not good if you have young kids trying to sleep. Fantaboulous!!! This was the second time I stayed at this location. We had a trade show at a local hotel and their rooms were too costly for us. The Alden is a great value for a beach front studio location. Check it out on your next visit to St. Pete Beach!

"Yuck"
I have stayed at hotels all over the place, this had to be my least favorite. The rooms were dark and smelled moldy, the bathroom floor was dirty with hair on it.. And people were having a party outside our back window on the grounds and were really loud and practically peering in our windows for hours on end..tried to move rooms but nothing was available […] ! Will never stay there again!! Les mer

The Alden Beach Resort & Suites is centraly located on St Pete Beach, close to restaurants and stores. The staff was courteous and professional. The room was clean on arrival, and the house keeping staff was attentive thru-out our stay to cleaning the room/bedding on a daily basis, and replenishing our towels. The facility was older but very well maintained […] and it was a pleasure to stay here. We look forward to future visits/stays, as well as recommending it to our friends/family who travel to this area. Les mer

"Great stay"
I've stayed at many hotels on St Pete Beach, however this one was amongst my favorite. Had a great room with huge bed, kitchen, and patio. Awesome for the price. The staff is friendly and its right on the beach. Great stay.

Part of playground and a graddy sitting area by beach closed off with hazard tape. Advertised as a Non-Smoking hotel - but encountered many smokers on first floor sitting in walkway outside their rooms. Reported, but nothing done.

hotel was clean nad we had a small kitchen that was alright. The noise at night and early in the moring. We stayed on 2nd floor heard someone walking the the floor above us nad water runnning water from the units around us.

"Nice hotel on the beach"
For what you pay compared to what you get in terms of closeness to the beach, this is a great deal. LIterally being able to walk out of your room and be a few steps away from the ocean is what gives this hotel its worth. I stayed in a double queen full kitchen suite which was roomy, even when we had a few guests over. The rooms are a bit out dated and […] could use some renovations, but I hear that they are in the process of renovating, so I must have been in an older room. Loved the full kitchen, although the oven was not full sized, but the fridge was which wasnice. Plenty of utensils, pots, and pans available for cooking. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Overall I would recommend this hotel to a friend and stay there again, however I advise those used to more luxury type accomodation stay away. Les mer
