No complaints, I checked in at 2 am and slept until check out at 12.

I walked to the hotel every night from the subway stop at 10pm or later. Never felt nervous. Safe quiet neighborhood convenient to Manhattan. Our beds were way too soft to my liking, but others may like them. Only one "shuttle" trip allowed per day (really a black car service), but it picks you up across the street from the subway and drops you off […] at the hotel. Limit of 4 max per car, though they prefer 3. The breakfast was very good, but the staff had a hard time keeping up. Get down there early before the donuts and bagels run out. Hotels was in a great location not too far from the city. Beds were comfortable and the room was very spacious. The bathrooms could use updating but manageable. Its best not to get a room near the elevator because it tends to be very noisy at times.

I stayed here for one night while in town for business. I enjoyed my stay. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest subway station. The neighborhood is incredibly diverse and seemed relatively safe. My room had a nice view of Long Island City and the Midtown skyline. There was free internet and parking for those who need it. Computers are available, […] but only in 20 minute sessions and sometimes the internet on these public computers was down. Interestingly, the building was once a public school, and some features of this are still visible. The free breakfast was decent. The cleaning staff was very nice, but the front desk was a little less nice. Overall, I had an enjoyable stay. Les mer

The location was very convenient to my work which ranged from lower Manhattan to Brooklyn & LIC. The room had trash left over from a previous occupant and looked liked it had been a month or two since it was last vacumed. The elevator was not in service on arrival as a television production had taken over the hotel as a shooting location creating limited […] access and congestion of the street, parking lot, lobby, etc. with operating staff and equipment. The hotel called on the third day of my stay to inform me they were without water. Fortunately the city was able to correct this problem and restored service in a couple of hours. There was a couple who decided to stand outside my door 9pm arguing about their lovelife for about 45 min until I asked them to move on. The following morning the hall outside my door was filled with a pungent aroma reminiscent of my days in Amsterdam. I left for work at 6am and stopped to try the continental breakfast. The bagels were stale and the coffee was drinkable. I'll probably stay there again if the price is right and I run out of alternative options. Les mer

Its close to the city but the closest train is about a mile away. So if your not renting a car dont stay here. Its a good bang for the buck being so close to the city, the neiborhood is desolate and there isnt anything in walking distance. I would only reccomond if your not looking to stay in the room most of your stay and more importantly if you rent […] a car or plan on spending on taxi's. It is pretty clean, but the place looks old. Nice place, good parking, the only thing the room stunk like cigarettes....it is what is....I've satyed at worst places..o verall we would definetly stay there again

It's a great place to stay in NY for the price. Very comfortable, and conveniently located if you have a vehicle. It's right off the Queensboro bridge. I'd definitely stay there again.

The hotel staff was incompetent. While we stayed there the staff on duty gave a somebody a copy of our room key and we found him sleeping when we got back to the room. The "gym" advertised consisted of a treadmill, a bike and a stair master. The only good thing about our stay was the continental breakfast.

when we arrived to the hotel there was no parking finally we found a spot very cramped . when walking to front desk we were not greeted properly the assistant was rude to my wife its was insulting we drove from our home to queens for a nice romantic night together and all we received was the run around and incompetence from the staff ......we probably […] will never return Les mer

The price no doubt was good, the room that we stayed in was not up to par. We made reservations for 2 beds and got to the hotel and was only able to get one bed because they sold out of the other. From the ceiling down was a diagonal shaped wall and at the top it had leaked and the mildew stain was still there; down the edge of the wall was also wet […] like stains; underneath the wood platform that was also a dresser there was a large hole and there was a trash can afixed within the hole to catch leaking water. This room however, was on the highest floor the hotel has. The bathroom had specks of mildew around the bathtub. The fan in the bathroom is not strong enough, it's extremely light air to no air. The room smelled of staleness. The towels are stained. If you take the 7 train, it's about a good 20 minute walk to the hotel. Each day you're there if you need a ride to the subway, the hotel provides a shuttle with the exception for when you check out, there is no shuttle ride to the subway. They have a good breakfast. I was please with the service and there is pub which has a restuarant that is right on the corner of the hotel! They took care of you and showed you respect. When you leave out or come in they always had a smile on their face. I was very happy that everytime I come to New york I will reserve a room. I will tell my friends about it.

I reserved a room with a jacuzzi thinking it would be exactly that. When I arrived to the room it ended up being a 2 person jacuzzi tub. If you're going to have a jacuzzi room offer a full jacuzzi in the room, not a tub. That was disappointing.

Very affordable room, you can't beat it. Clean (except for the toilet in my room upon entering, unfortunately), but otherwise great. Very nice staff, good breakfast, good service. Will definitely visit again next time I want to spend some time in NYC.

Very decent hotel. Good price, nice room:)

The hotel price was an amazing deal. The free breakfast and the free internet was also a bonus. The hotel room was clean. Although the commute into the city was only a 5/10 minute cab ride the cabs did want to take us back to the hotel from the city. We took the subway back on most occasions, but the walk from the subway station back to the hotel was […] a bit of a ways in the cold weather, and we were two small women and did not know if it was safe at night. I would recommend the hotel though because the price can not be beat and everyone was very nice. Also the hotel has a car service which we used and we were very satisfied. Les mer

I did not get the room I paid for the following dates. 2/4-2/6/2012. I stay at this hotel on the following dates1/27-1/29/12 and also they did not have the room I paid for until I showed my receipt to the clerk that works 3-11pm. Then the room was awarded to me.The same clerk work for both of my stays.

The hotel was good but the room we reserved was non smoking and it smelled like cigarettes in the room and on the floor

My bf and I stayed for 2 nights in the 2 double bed room. The beds are extremely comfortable and soft and everything seemed pretty good. The one thing that threw us off was no DVD player or built-in DVD player in the TVs. When we go to hotels, we like to throw in a movie to watch, but that's where my bf's portable DVD player came in handy. Overall, […] the stay was nice, enjoyed the breakfast. :) Les mer

this hotel was so cheap. the bed really sucked. and there was a blood mark on the sheets. the room was so cold and they didnt give us a thicker sheet. the water would gather on the bathroom floor. the towels were too little.

We needed a hotel to fit our family when our travel plans were extended, and space at our original location (staying with family) quickly became impractical. They fit the bill wonderfully, at a great rate per night. Off-street parking (beautiful in NYC), clean and modern rooms with very hot water, and a business center and fitness room. Great value […] and view of the city lights. Go for it! NOTE: the price reflects the fact that it is across the street from a cemetery and that is is close-but not in-Manhattan or Brooklyn. Les mer

bad area and bad service.i will never ever go back this hotel.

The staff at the Best Western worked very hard to compensate for the lack of efficiency of Hotels.com.

nice big room, coofe maker, fridge, microwave, nice big breakfast in AM, free car ride to subway, spectacular view of Calvary Cemetary

Close to my business in Brooklyn. Close to Manhattan. Room was decent. Good for a couple nights on a business trip.

I know this place gets a rap for the industrial neighborhood or not being near a subway station. Or creeping people out because Calvary cemetery is across the street. We liked it. Nice room, comfy bed. A lot of foreign visitors, but so what. We were visiting relatives in Brooklyn, and it works for us. We'll stay there again. Priced right, too.

Not the best neighborhood, but a good view and the free shuttle to the subway is nice.

Although we were facing the other direction and did not have a view of the Manhattan skyline the hotel was nice. The room we booked turned out to be larger than expected and the simple amenities were good and availavble. The hotel is an old building reminding me of an old school or boarding house. (Probably has landmark status). The parking in the hotel […] grounds is limited and tight. But theres more parking available in the surrounding streets. The staff was nice pleasant and friendly. Check in and Check out was fast. The area is situated in warehouse area and across from a cemetery so its very quiet most of the time especially weekends. I wouldn't recommend a casual stroll because there's nothing to really take in. There are a few bars but I did not check them out. TV channels are limited but so what, I came to see NYC not watch TV. At least the weather and sports channels were available. For what its worth I would book at this hotel again. It is near the highway (L.I.E.) and the hotel also offers mini bus service. I don't care much for 5 star because I only need a clean place to put my bags down and rest my head. This hotel is clean and decent. Les mer

Good service, parking and breakfast included, a shuttle to bring you to the subway station and back (for free the first time during the day, and for $10 after 10 pm).
