Hotellet Stylish Room ligger i nær beliggenhet til Spansketrappen. Selve inngangen er litt borthjemt, men skiltet viser vei og man må bare følge ringeklokkene innover for å komme opp i andre etasje i et lite, koselig og moderne hotell. Rommene, resepsjon og spisesal har et moderne preg og er i sterk kontrast til mange andre hotell i byen. Rommene er enkelt innredet, men fine og ok størrelse. En hyggelig betjening er behjelpelige med mat uten om frokosttilbudet, og de tilbyr i tillegg en bringetjeneste til Fiumicino for en grei sum. Dette er med andre ord et hotell jeg kan anbefale og et fint utgangspunkt for Romaferien. En fin bonus til hotellet er flere gode restauranter i nær beliggenhet, og spesielt den rett under til venstre. God tur!

Hotellet ligger nær sentrum og t-bane stasjon. Også nærområde er veldig fin, for å ta fine bilder og handle gaver for venner. Service var som forventet, dette er jo en B&B hotell, altså tilbud av seng og en en liten frokost. ikke forvent dere en mettende frokost, for det serveres kun drikke og bolle. men maten kan kjøpes i nærheten enten i sparkjøp butikken eller i en av pizza/ kebab shops. Hotellet var ren og eieren var veldig hjelpsom og hyggelig kar. hotellet passer perfekt for en storbyferie. PS: varmeanlegget slås på kun etter kl 6, så hvis du reiser på vinteren ta med varm pisjamas og sokker :)

Barer, restauranter, moderne hoteller og butikker prøver alle å tiltrekke seg oppmerksomhet Via Veneto i gaten som en gang var opphavet til ordet "paparazzo" – etternavnet på fotojournalisten i filmen. De spanske trappene ligger ikke langt herfra. Her møtes elskende, her handler man, og her nyter man den italienske kunsten "dolce far niente" – slappe av og se på folk.

Jeg bodde 6 netter på Hotel Ludovisi i høysesongen på sommeren 2011. Hotellrommet var rent og pent, men selvfølgelig ganske lite, slik som hotellrom gjerne er i storbyer. Betjeningen var veldig høflige og hjelpsomme, og alle snakket godt engelsk. Airconditionen var veldig effektiv, men lettbetjent slik at jeg kunne dempe den om natta. Hotellfrokosten […] var også veldig bra til å være nede på kontinentet! Her var det egg og bacon, godt utvalg av kjøtt og ost, og både grove og fine rundstykker. Vanligvis får man jo bare kaker og syltetøy til frokost der nede. Hotellet ligger ca 5 minutter å gå fra Spansketrappene. Det tar ca 15 minutter+ å gå til Pantheon, og betraktelig lengre til Colosseum og Forum Romanum. Men når det er sagt så har jo Roma et veldig enkelt metrosystem som man kan bruke. Det er bare noen få stopp vestover til Vatikanet, og noen få stopp øst til Termini - jernbanestasjonen. Hotellet ligger nært metrostasjonene Spagna og Barberini. Hotellet ligger i et trygt område, med resturantgaten Via Vistina like rundt hjørnet. Villa Borghese-parken er også like i nærheten, og det er kort vei til shopping-gatene Via del Corso og Via Tritone. Jeg anbefaler dette hotellet dersom du vil gjøre et trygt valg i et rolig område. Det finnes nok hoteller som ligger mer sentralt, men for meg var dette en god base for å utforske den evige by. Jeg bor gjerne på samme hotell igjen! Les mer
"Hotellrommet/utstyr på rommet"
Savnet vannkoker/evt. kaffetrakter på rommet. Størrelsen på rommet (3-mannsrom) virket altfor liten. Skulle tro det var et vanlig dobbeltrom! Meget hyggelig og serviceinnstilt resepsjon/betjening. Rengjøringen var absolutt upåklagelig.

"Vi bor gjerne her igjen!"
Dette var et meget hyggelig hotell. Gangavstand til alt vi skulle gjøre. Forholdsvis rolig gate i helgen, men noe mer trafikk på mandag. Likevel var det ikke støy inne på rommet selv om det vendte ut mot gaten. Hyggelige omgivelser. Personalet var serviceinstilt og hjelpsomme. Rent og ryddig, forholdsvis stort rom og bad - og ikke minst god madrass […] i sengen!! Vil anbefale hotellet til andre, og kommer til å bo her neste gang vi skal til Roma. Les mer
"Bra service"
Svært sentralt, de fleste severdigheter i gangavstand. Bemerkelsesverdig bra betjening. Lite hotel, Rent og pent. Ikke spesielt mange TVkanaler og kun en som var engelskspråklig. Det står at det er klimaanlegg på hotellet, men det slår de ikke på før i mai.

Excellent hotel and awesome customer service. The folks at the front desk were very helpful. We checked into a room and found that it didnt have a tub and only a shower stall. We have a small kid and she freaks out to take bath in the stall. We told the front desk and they gave the only room with tub to us. It was more spacious than the original room, […] but they gave it to us without charging any additional fees - saying "we will do this for the little princess". This made us feel very happy. The place is around 3 - 4 miles from station and at a very nice location. The attractions are in walkable distances (20 - 30 mins slow walk with a kid). Nice restaurants near by. On the day of our return we had to leave by 4:30am. They arranged for a hotel cab to airport at a dirt cheap price. Airport is around 40 km from the hotel. The cab was waiting for us 10 mins earlier - no stress. overall we loved the people and the place. Les mer
"good location"
We came to Rome to renew our visa at the US Embassy. The location of the hotel is great for this, its a 5 minute walk to the embassy. The location is also great if you want to access Rome for tourist activities. The staff were good some were excellent but on the day of arrival the staff were not helpful at all. The room was not well cleaned, for example […] I noted nail clippings on the floor - this was really a low point for the hotel. At least the sheets were clean! I would say it is a good 2* hotel, not a 4* which it claims. We paid a lot for the night, and given the quality of the room it was too much. I pre-booked two adults and one infant. When we arrived and I asked for the crib, they said they did not have any, but they could put in an extra bed. This is not ideal with a 2 month old baby. There was not a kettle in the room or coffee making facilities. However on the plus side the night staff did bring us a pot of boiling water to our room very quickly when asked. Overall, I would stay here again if I can get a cheap price. The room was small-ish, it was not as clean as I would like and there were little facilities. However the bed was clean and comfortable. Most importantly if I have to conduct embassy business again I will see if the prices suit. Les mer
"Perfect choice"
I have been to Italy over 30 times, and I can say I've never had a more pleasant experience than at this hotel. It's nearly half the cost of the surrounding luxury hotels, double the service and kindness. The staff was incredibly warm, welcoming and helpful. Here you will really feel like a guest, not just a room number. I'd recommend it to anyone.
"Nice staff-below average hotel"
The hotel has bee renovated in the last 5 years, maybe? Small rooms, but that is okay. It just wasnt clean. Nice travertine tile, but mold, calcium build up and soap scum in bathroom. Staff was very nice and good neighborhood. Too bad...we just slept there. Came from Sorrento for our last night in Rome. Dropped our stuff off and headed out for the day. […] Back at 9pm for showers. Cocktail downstairs. Then to bed. Up early. Breakfast was okay. Then left for the airport. We had the basic double room. Could not have stayed there for a long visit. Les mer
Nice hotel- staff very friendly- breakfasts are basic but OK- one small gripe- for an Italian hotel their coffee is awful- instant coffee machine at breakfast kind of lets the show down a bit- however- a small thing to moan about- all in all we are well pleased with the place- very close to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountains with the Hard Rock Cafe […] right around the corner- very important for our kids... The hotel is in a great location close to all the sights, but at the same time it is in a nice quiet neighborhood away from the hussle and bustle. The rooms were very clean with nice amenities. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

"Good location and helpful staff"
The hotel was well-priced for the neighborhood and an easy walk to most everything we were interested in seeing during our visit. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
"Everything Just Marginally Acceptable"
My family of four stayed here 7/10 - 7/13 and, while we had no significant problems with the hotel, room, or staff, I have a hard time finding anything overly positive to share, either. We had booked a 'quad' room for four and received a standard size hotel room with two twin-sized beds. Essentially, the same size and configuration you'd find when booking […] a standard room anywhere in the US except the beds were a bit smaller than queen. The breakfast was ok - nothing spectacular - and they utilize a self-serve coffee machine (where you press the drink you want and it dispenses) rather than making cap. or expressos made to order from the higher-end commercial unit they had. Also, the breakfast room was supposed to be the hotel bar in the evening, however, the bar was stucked worse than a home bar would be (they didn't even have wine - in Rome!) and it was not manned by anyone on any of the nights we stayed there. It would have been nice to go down and have a glass of wine and get a soda for the kids, maybe play a game of cards, prior to going out for dinner. Instead, we had to go out and find a convienance store and buy drinks/chips ourselves. So, nothing terrible but certainly nothing to recommend and certainly not worth the price I paid for the four of us. Les mer

Excellent location, close to Spanish steps & a block from wonderful shopping & restaurants. Very good value for the money. We spent 3 nights just prior to Thanksgiving before boarding a cruise ship. The hotel staff was attentive & very accomodating. The breakfast room is pleasant & the food more than adequate. Front desk personnel spoke English & were […] always available. "Great Hotel with Outstanding Staff"
From our first day of arrival, we found the staff extremely helpful and most accommodating. The location was perfect for our needs.Close to The Piazza Barberini Metro, within walking distance to Piazza de Spagna, The Borghese Gardens and fabulous restaurants. It's rating should be 5 Stars.
"Nice Bathroom, OK otherwise"
We had a room with two beds on the fifth floor. We asked for a non-smoking room but received a smoking room. The hotel was booked so we couldnt change. The staff was very helpful and even tried to locate a place for our friends to stay in the neighborhood. The location is good if you want to be near the Villa Borghese or Spanish steps. The nearest train […] stop was Barberini which was about three city blocks. The rate we paid was high considering the quality of the room. Being American, we are pretty spoiled by the general quality of hotels in the states. I wouldnt say this was a bad hotel. I just wouldnt pay as much as we did for the room we had if I had to do it again. Les mer

The hotel is in a good location, and easy to get around. The front staff are friendly and efficient. For Rome, it is an overall good hotel, and we would stay again. However, the walls are thin, and the 4 star rating in Italy is not equivalent to that in the US. If you want a good clean, convenient location this is a nice place. Ludovisi Palace is akin to a Quality Inn in the US that hasn't been redone since 1980. Carpet was disgusting. Mold in corners of bathroom and shower. Threadbare everything. At check-in, was told 35 Euro per day for the car. Asked about the parking garage I saw signs for and was told it was 29 Euro/day and a bit far away. It was 2 blocks away and 18 […] Euro per night. Thankfully, scam avoided, and needless to say, we did not ask for any more "help" from the staff. "Breakfast" was inedible - Ex. Nescafe instant coffee from a self-serve machine - this is Italy, right? Don't stay there. Stay further away or spend more money. Les mer

Hotel was close to spanish steps and several restaurants as well as the Metro. Hotel was on a very quiet street. Staff were okay, not overly friendly, but would answer questions. The front desk guy that worked from 3-11 was very good. Coloseum was a 35 minute walk and Piazza Navona about 25-30 minutes away. Nice little hotel, same neighborhood as the U.S. embassy and a short walk to the Spanish Steps and the nearby shopping/tourist district. Our room was inward-facing and extremely quiet. great location in roma - right behind the spanish steps. hotel is rather comfortable (bedding, room size, etc.) by roma standards and intimate. staff is helpful. overall, very good value.

Our room the first stay was small with a very small bathroom but the AC worked great. The hotel staff were very helpful. The location is difficult but fine if you are fit as it is uphill and often have to climb steps to reach the hotel. The first impression is that the hotel needs updating and there is nowhere to sit in the lobby. The bathrooms are tiny.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and found that it was a good base to visit all of the historic sites of Rome. We walked from the hotel to most of the historical sites with the exception of our trip to the Vatican City which we took the nearby metro to. It is also walkable but our legs were tired!. The staff were very helpful and […] friendly and our room was clean and serviced each day. The buffet breakfast was basic but good and had enough choice to suit. The hotel did not offer lunch or dinner but that was not a problem as it gave us a chance to sample the food of the many great restaurants around Rome. "Awesome place to stay in Rome"
My wife and I stayed here before and after our cruise in May 2000. The hotel staff coordinated all of our transportation, had our room ready early, and were very helpful wtih everyting. The htoel is very central to everything. About 4 blocks from the Spanish Steps and close to many great shops and restaurants. I definitely reccommend this hotel to anyone […] that is staying in Rome. The price is very cheap compared to other hotels. The rooms were much bigger and nicer than other hotels that I have stayed at in Europe. It was a great stay and we will stay there again! Les mer

I paid a lot of money a night to stay in a small room and they had the nerve to charge 20 Euros a day for internet service!!!!!
"perfectly located hotel"
the staff were always welcoming and helpful and very calm especially because were stayed at the time when the earthquakes hit and we could really feel it but the staff were calm which made you feel quite safe. We stayed on the 6th floor which even though there is no views unless you stand on the chair ( which if you do it's a great view) it does have […] a lovely balcony with table and chairs. Breakfast is nice but they run out regulary of everything and were slow to replace it which was the only let down . The hotel in a really lovely area with great walks from every angle. Les mer
"Safe and well located"
This is a small hotel located just off the famous Via Veneto with great restaurants nearby. Morning breakfasts were complete with scrambled eggs, cereals, breads, fruits and juices--well done. Our room was spacious, well appointed with an updated an roomy bathroom as well. Our only complaint was that the interior rooms back to an open atrium which is […] noisy at night. All windows had to remain closed in order to sleep well at all. Guest use computer was not functioning during our 3 day stay and there did not seem to be any attention to putting it in working order.
