one of the lamps lacked a bulb and the microwave did not work. the walls and ceilings appeared to have cobwebs. i guess you only get what you pay for. I only come here for the cheap rates while visiting my mother in law in the nursing home, and wouldn't stay here if i was on a real vacation.

The motel is older, but well maintained. The room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. There were several resturants closeby. The motel was easy to find just off Interstate 77. Enjoyed my stay and will use again if my travel takes me back to Charleston.

Clean, comfortable inexpensive room and easy drive to airport. Lots of restaurant choices near by.

We stayed at this motel as part of an overnight car trip. The staff was nice, the room was clean. The building was older, but for the purpose and price-point I feel that I got a good value. I would pick this motel again.

Of course I expected it to be a roach motel, but it wasn't too bad. The condition of the furniture and appliances wasn't very good. But the sheets on the bed looked and smelled very clean and the shower looked clean. It wasn't too bad, but of course I still walked around in my socks. I'd go back if I had to.

Knowing this location and how much this hotel is probably used, there is really no excuse for the condition and lack of upkeep. We won't be back for sure. Bug on the bedspread, powder ground into the carpet near the bedside, ratty falling apart lampshades, plugged up shower drain, burned with hot water when turning shower off, pencil graffit on walls, […] stains on pillows, single small trash can, that's just off the top of my head... Clean hotel, friendly service. Nothing fancy but very adequate. I would stay again. It was close to the highway and close to several restaurants and gas stations.

The floors were soft... could feel it move everywhere.. thought we might actually fall through by the sink. The breakfast the was included was coffee and donuts.... but the donuts were good. It's run down and needs a paint job. But didnt cost a lot, so we got what we paid for I guess.

There was a stink bug on the wall when we walked in, and the heat didn't work. The place was just dirty in general. The staff wasn't friendly at all, and the "breakfast" was donuts. I guess you get what you pay for.

I'm not normally one to complain or be negative about anything. However, this was a very poor value. The room was cold upon arrival, the floor sank near the heater where table and chairs were which made me wonder about the construction. Heater control knob was missing so setting was difficult to determine. The light in bathroom did not work so had to […] use shower with door open for functionality. Cleanliness was average to poor with mold on shower curtain. Checked bed before use and it was ok and fairly comfortable. What I expected for the price. Suited our needs for a place to sleep while on the road. Rooms were old but clean. No issues while there. A steakhouse was next door.

It was great other than the TV remote needs replacing and the Bathtub hot water drips after shutoff. a note was left in room. Quick service check in since done online.

We were fairly satisfied with this hotel until we found the continental "breakfast." It was coffee, juice and some donuts. It would have been great to at least have a non-sugary breakfast option...toast, fruit...something. We wouldn't stay here again because of this. Too bad.

The hotel was perfectly fine for the price, easy to find- just needed a cheap stay because I had to take my GRE for grad school in charleston and live a bit away from the testing center so I wanted to relax and save time driving by staying the night in charleston. Everything was clean and the staff was very nice - we were very skeptical after reading […] all the bad reviews, but this hotel was fine. I wouldn't recommend it for older people because it was right off the highway and kind of noisy but nothing you couldn't block out by turning your tv up loud. There were tons of channels and free internet which was pretty fast. You just have to call the front desk to ask for the password. Theres are a fridge and microwave. Would definitely stay again! Also had McDonalds right across the street for a mid-night McD's run! :D Les mer

Smallest room I've stayed in. Beds clean. Handicapped accessible bathroom: stool levelled w/plastic doodads, seat sl. cracked. Couldn't tell if fold down shower seat was usable or clean as opposed to mildewed. Didn't use it as got there too late. Folks in roomto above us were up and about past 2am. Came in about 6am. Needed to sleep for a few hours before driving 4 more hours. She asked me sarcastically you are checking in NOW? I said Yes I have my resv thru Hotels.com. It took her 15 minutes to get me checked in. Unacceptable.

I don't look for much, just a clean room and bed. Don't really care about amenities. The facility served its purpose for a one night stopover.

You get what you pay for so I wasn't shocked when I opened the door to the room. I don't think the room had been rented in a while. The stale cigarette smoke (in a non-smoking room# smell was overwhelming. There was patches in the wall that needed painting, the chairs were torn and/or stained. The shower curtain was just that a curtain with no liner. […] The sink area had a wooden stand #like you'd see at a rustic camp) to put your cosmetics. Breakfast was coffee, juice & doughnuts. Thank goodness McDonald's was across the street. I won't stay at a Knight's Inn again. Les mer

The room was not clean, the furniture was in need of being replace, there were burn marks from cigarettes on the tables and even the bath tub, the trash can appeared as if someone had thrown up in it and no one had bothered to clean it.

I usually check reviews before booking a hotel. Since I was pressed for time prior to this stay and have had very good experiences with Knights Inn's in Michigan, I just went and booked this one. What a mistake! Nasty & sticky furniture, room was filthy in the "harder to reach" corners, hole smashed in in the wall, you could see the daylight come through […] the front door. All around disgusting, we almost slept in the car instead. Les mer

The room was dirty, I was afraid to sleep under the covers..both ice machines broke, internet down...full dumptster in parking lot,,it was the 4th of July...Afraid to leave room...lot's of shady people runing around.

The room was adequete for a low rate motel. First, the neighbor decided to set his chair outside his door and talk on his phone for a few hours until nearly 10:30pm. Just when I thought he was done, he started up again. It was very hot out so why he didn't just go inside is a mystery. The next issue was the roofers starting at 7:45am!! Yes, they were […] working on the opposite side of the building from my room but they also walked on top of my room to get to their destination. I was also woken up at 7:35am by some numbskull who must have been doing wake-up calls by pounding on the doors. I didn't ask for a wakeup call so why did they do it to me?!! Phone calls are better and with my own alarm clock I didn't need one. I got virtually no sleep until about 3am then the roofers started at 7:45am. OMG! Next time I am staying at the Hampton Inn. The first room we had the sheets had rips and a few small stains. We went straight to the front desk and they switched our room for us. The second room was clean. The TV was not modern but over all we enjoyed our stay. The pool was very nice! There were a lot of food places within a very short walking distance. I would stay again.

Knights Inn was good for our purpose--ie, to compete in West Virginia Sr. Olympics at various sites in Charleston. It met our needs. The Continental Breakfast consisted of Coffee, Juices, and a variety of very nice do-nuts.

Well. It was cheaper. But still more than 60 Bucks. The room smelled old and was very weary. Not that much of a positive experience. Loud through the neighboring rooms and people/children running forth and back. Have slept worse than that, but actually mostly better.

It was late when we arrived. We had no problems getting to the room. The lady be hide desk was nice. The room smelt bad, there were burn holes in the bed linen. Stains on the carpet and on the bed spread. The door knob was ready to fall off the door. The bathroom floor was dirty all along the edge next to the wall. I have stayed at this hotel before a few years ago. I'm not sure what happened to it, but it was absolutely awful. The carpet was filthy, the beds were uncomfortable, the toilet seat was broken, the tiles on the bathroom floor were broken, and I saw a roach crawling up the wall. What a dump! Bathroom floor had cracked tile and there was mold on the bathroom wall. My room did not have a hair dryer or coffee pot. I was told there were no other rooms available to switch to. The pool had no water in it and the "breakfast" was doughnuts, coffee, and juice. Not an enjoyable stay, even for one night. Price is great and location is awesome. Everything you could need is in about a two mile radius. Only thing I didn't like is that there is never enough towels and wash cloths. A room that fits four t five people only has enough towels and wash cloths for two.
