Alt du trenger er i gangavstand fra hotellet. Strand, shopping, mat og fine parker for jogging. Mange resturanger i nærområdet og hotellet hjelper til med bestillinger. Leide bil via hotellet fungerte fing

"The hotel near the canal"
It's a little private hotel with lots of convenient stores within the surrounding areas. 21/2-3 Stars. Price was reasonable & front desk agents were hospitable.

Personell very helpful and friendly, smiling people and kind. My Room was clean and confortable. The view was perfect. The location was convinient for shopping eating and sightseeing. If i ever visti Hawai again i would gladly stay there again.
The management of this hotel need to look within its staff, amenities, hotel condition and their advertisement in regards to internet accessibility. At check in, I was greeted by a hotel staff. The problem started when the key card I was given does not work properly. I could not use the elevator as it needed your room key before it operates. I was given […] 5 different keys and a hotel staff to help me open my door to my room. One of the elevator I used stopped at the 18th floor and would not go up or down. Internet access is in the bar on the bottom floor of the hotel lobby. The hotel does not have internet access. Very poor customer service. Les mer
"Hawaiian Monarch Hotel"
This hotel was okay and the staff was friendly and supportive of my needs. I was impressed. The price was a bit high i thought for what I provided with, but regardless I would stay here again if I had no other option as far as a last minute decision. The location was okay, just on the outskirts of Waikiki, still okay though, i had no complaints there. […] Hotel staff was friendly and attended to my room on a timely manner. On my last day there, I was late with checking out, and the hotel staff were sensitive with me taking the time to check out. My hotel door didn't have any other type of security lock (bolt lock, chain lock, etc.) besides the one that comes with the handle. (I guess that's a bolt lock, but a chain lock would have been nice and made me feel a bit more secure). On my last day there, with the mix up of the time to check out, the "bell man?" came up to the room and he said, "I was told it was empty" opened my door by accident. There could have been embarrassing moment if i were to be in a "delicate" situation as he just walked it, again, he was under the assumption that I wasn't in the room at the time and that it was empty. I had no harsh feelings towards him and he apologized. My phone in my room didn't work, though it was "hooked up", and that was the cause for the mix up in the first place. Overall, this was an okay room, a bit out of range from being in the heart of Waikiki, but I liked it and would stay here again, (being a single guy) and with the outlook that it's just a room, and not looking for a 4 star place to spend my whole day in. "Where Everybody Knows Your Name"
While not a new or fancy hotel, the Monarch is always our first choice in Waikiki for the value offered, but most of all, for the people. It started when Josh checked me in and recognized me from past visits. It continued with Rose in Parking, who recognized me and said, "Welcome Home!" "Hawiian Monarch - Honolulu"
The bedspread was ripped and soiled. The mattress was sinking in the middle. The room was filthy. The bathtub was painted.....should have been replaced. We were bitten by bugs when we slept. When we left, there was another couple that were leaving because of the critters in their room.

The King Pub downstairs has great pizza and 1 dollar beer from 5-6pm. The Scooter rentals there are 40% higher than the guy down the street. The hotel room and elevator keys don't work properly having to replace daily. The TV sucked. The AC was so lound and old that it needed to be off to sleep. The plumbing worked poorly. The condition of the hotel is what you would expect for a 2 star hotel; torn carpets, broken and unclean bathroom tiles etc., etc. etc.
The staff at the Hawaiin Monarch were all very friendly & helpful!!!!

Great place, great hotel. One thing that I felt was not clear was that parking is not included. Parking cost an additional $16 per night.

"for the price, okay"
The air conditioner in the room really needed replacing. It didn't really cool off the room. The filter hadn't been cleaned in who knows how long. The room was good sized and had a refrigerator and microwave in the room. I would stay there again.
AC didn't work very well but was ok for an overnight stay. Not many stores or restaurants around the area.

Great value. Nice water pressure in the shower and sink. Water was nice and hot also. The beds were very comfortable. The TV could have been a little bigger than the 15" flatscreen monitor I had, but after awhile, I didn't notice any short comings.
Location and service of hotel was exactly what we needed for a one-night stay. Staff was helpful and friendly. We would recommend others to stay there.

The entire staff is very congenial,professional very nice-much Aloha. The cleanliness of the room exceeded my expectations. I requested alittle extra cleaning and they obliged-I added alittle larger tip-please tip housekeeping since they do a good job and its backbreaking work-alittle sugar goes a long way! waikiki is so small that any hotel is within walking distance of the beach. The room was clean with a microwave and fridge. I was mostly touring and this worked as a less expensive place to sleep. parking is cheaper here than at nicer hotels. everything is very by the book rules with no exceptions. if you are looking for a romantic get away with good […] service go somewhere else. if you need a cheap place to stay this will work. Tatty, old, poorly maintained, nice reception staff; overall you get what you pay for. Spend a bit more and enjoy a better place; afterall you are in HAwaii so one should enjoy as much as possible.

"Difficult Stay"
This was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. have traveled all over the world and this was an awful experience. They didn't even clean the room. I noticed they did not even vacuum. It was really difficult getting in and out of the hotel as well. There were no clean towels given. They fixed the bed and that was it when they came in the room. […] No cleaning was done at all. The staff was not very helpful or friendly. They seemed to not even care or like they were being bothered to have to work with the guests. I felt like i was intruding. I will NEVER ever stay here again. One of the days I noticed when I got back to the hotel the cleaning staff must have kicked or knocked the plug out of the refrigerator. I had to throw all the food that was in there away. It is a good thing i did not have medication in there. That would have caused a huge medical mess if i was a diabetic or any other medication that would have needed to be refrigerated. "Good for price, but..."
In need of repair or facelift...very old...rooms are small and seemingly unkept. Price is good if you need a one night layover in a good location to Waikiki strip.

The room with facilities like fridge and microwave oven, not to mention very comfortable beds and a good view, was great value for money. The receptionists were not only courteous but went out of the way to be helpful, giving all kinds of useful information and advice. I would happily recommend it to others.

Lousy service except from one lady staff. My son and I were very disappointed about the size of the room as I couldn't even drag my luggage into the middle of the room.

The hotel was ok for the money. I don't think I'd stay there again. It has good security measures. If you're going to spend less than an hour (other than sleeping) in your hotel room per day than it's not too bad.
