Nytt og fint hotell, moderne baderom. Synes det var litt kjølig på rommet, og kaldt på badet. Ikke mulig å få det varmere ved å jutsere klimaanlegg, på badet ingen oppvarming. For min smak litt lite å velge til frokost.

Litt avstand fra sentrum. Vi brukte taxi til og fra sentrum og old Trafford. Ca 6-8 pund. Lytt mellom rommene!

"Perfekt for familier"
Store, flotte leiligheter med to soverom og alt du trenger til selvhushold. Perfekt for en familie på fire. Suveren service, og trivelig betjening. En av mine bedre hotellopplevelser så langt!

Fint med leilighet, egen vaskemaskin og kjøkken. Internet fungerer OK. Hotellet er litt slitt, og tepper i soverom ville jeg gjerne ha undvært , men stille og bra komfort. Store rom og masser av plass.

Got an upgrade from single to double bedroom. That meant 70 m2, 2 twinbed bedrooms. Big bath, kitchen and livingroom! All stylish furnished. Very good hotel, easy to acces from the airport train. Nice staff. Food was expencive, recomend to take the breakfast at a pub nearby. One day there were no hot water in the shower, a little strange because all rooms had there own heater..

3 netter på The Place med en leilighet med 2 soverom gav virkelig en opplevelse utenom det man opplever på 95% av andre hoteller. I praksis var det jo en leilighet med alle fasiliteter man fikk. Høyt under taket, gang, eget oppholdsrom med halvveis avgrenset kjøkken, 2 separate soverom med hver seg eget bad, pluss også et eget vaskerom! Jeg har bodd […] på ganske mange forskjellige hotell verden rundt, men kan aldri huske å ha vært i nærheten av noe slikt størrelsesmessig. Når i tillegg til at det er rent og moderne med det man trenger av fasiliteter (evt. også for et lengre opphold), og også ligger midt i smørøyet av en millionby, ja da kan jeg ikke skjønne annet enn at dette er en klar terningkast 6! Meget sentral beliggenhet i forhold til Picadilly station og Picadilly gardens hvor busstasjonen og tuben befinner seg. Ligger også sentralt i forhold til gode resturanter som Michal Canes resturant og bl.a. Arendale kjøpesenter. Hyggelig betjening og god rom service (satte også inn brukte kopper etc. og satte i gang oppvaskmaskinen for oss). "Romslig leilighetshotell"
Med tre personer (1 par+ 1 barn) var dette mer enn stort nok for oss. Litt bråkete på kvelden (mye fester i baren under), og dårlig mat på roomservice; ellers en leilighet vi slappet bra av i, og vil bruke igjen.

Vi ble positivt overrasket over The Place. Hotellet er mye bedre enn hva bildene viser,og leilighetene er virkelig bra. Servicen er upåklagelig.

Great place to stay in Manchester.....its basically a four star hotel with the usual 24 hour reception, bar, gym, restaurant, nightclub, but each room is a fully kitted out apartment including bedroom, dining area, kitchen (with dish washer, fridge, oven/hob, microwave, etc), bathroom, and lounge area. Booked it through hotels.com and it proved to be […] slightly cheaper than any other hotels in the area! The only thing to be aware of is that a breakfast wasn't included, although it is available as a per person charge at the hotel restaurant. We'll definitely stay there again. Les mer

Location: 3 minutes walk from Piccadilly Train Station and 6/7 minutes walk to the centre of Manchester. Service: Very Good and Friendly. I had emailed in advance requesting some extra information and received a very quick and detailed response. Room: Very nice sized apartment, full kitchen with utensils, dishwasher, full sized fridge with a small […] carton of REAL milk provided. However, though the rooms were spacious they were a bit dated. Bathroom had some black marks around the bath area. Dining: Layout of dining room was cool. Black table clothes and cool chairs. Excellent location and comfortable rooms. Well equipped for self-catering but quality of fittings poor and not well maintained (knobs falling off wardrobe door, some lamps not working, etc). Staff receptive to hearing about these issues though.

Always stay here when in Newcastle. It's a bit old and worn, like many English hotels, but the rooms are clean and comfy, free wireless, and the location in Newcastle city center, right next to the rail station is perfect!

Was in a different room from the previous week. The main differences was that there was no bath and the a little cramped. You couldn't open the bathroom door very wide because of the bedside cupboard. There were a few items missing from the kitchen but were quickly replaced when I pointed them out. It is an excellent hotel comfortable apartments, free wireless, friendly staff. Was my first time but not the last the only small disadvantage of this hotel is the check out time which is at 11.00 instead of 12.00 which is at most hotels.

The apartment was incredibly spacious and comfortable. Very modern and chic interior, very well maintained. Had all the utensils you could possibly need for cooking, cleaning. Even had dishwasher and washing machine tablets and washing up liquid. Provided tea, coffee and sugar. With its location being right next to the Manchester Piccaddilly train […] station, it was perfect for getting anywhere really . "The Place -- manchester City centre"
This hotel looked good & was in a great location,not far from the the airport. The reception was smart, well maintained & the staff very professional, helpful & friendly. The apartment seemed really good but there were a few things that weren't so great. The bin ( concealed within work unit) hadnt been emptied & were full of rubbish from the previous […] tenant although a call to reception rectify it immediately. There were a few other flaws- the WC base was not secured to the floor & cables for the TV & CD player were exposed- not great if you had kids. Other than that it is a lovely place & very comfortable ( especially the beds) & it has a flat screen wall mounted Tv in the bedroom, a very good shower with wonderfully clean/fluffy towels.The room literature says they can provide toiletries if required ( not sure if there is a charge for this) We arrived mid evening after a 12hr flight (+ 2hr delay) & were exhausted - just wanted to shower & sleep & this place was perfect-the issues with the room were not relevant enough to bother notifying reception although Im sure they would have done something if we have contacted them. Would certainly stay again- the few issues mentioned are the only reason I didnt mark it as a 5/5 Les mer

Just returned from an overnight stay at this fabulous hotel after our son and daughter in laws wedding reception in the hotels function room. From the moment we arrived the staff couldn't have done more to make sure everything went to plan. The function room itself was amazing so many guests said it was a perfect venue for such an occasion. All members […] of staff we met were very pleasant and helpful. The food served was excellent and very well presented. The evening went very well too, there was plenty of room for our guests (we had around 150) and the bar staff coped well with serving our drinks. After everyone had left we were able to have a drink in the hotel bar which was very comfortable before going up to our room which was one of the best hotel rooms I have ever stayed in, it was so big featuring a lounge, kitchen, bathroom and an ample sized bedroom. After a good nights sleep we went down for a full English breakfast in the buffet restaurant and again the food was excellent. All in all I'm so glad The Place Hotel was chosen for our celebrations and would recommend anyone planning a similar event to give this PLACE serious consideration. Les mer

"Poor Customer Service and Rundown facilities"
While the apartments in this hotel appear nice at first glance, the hotel does not pay attention to detail in making sure everything your room is up to standard. We arrived in our room to discover the sink's drain in the bathroom was completely plugged up, thus making all the running water just fill up in the sink bowl. We had to brush our teeth and […] wash up in the kitchen sink. We alerted management to this and they said they could not fix it until the next day. Then, my girlfriend had the unlucky experience of getting food poisoning that night. She was up the entire night vomiting in the bathroom, and had no sink to use since it was clogged. Since she was so ill, she wanted to stay in the hotel, a bit past check out, the next morning until our train departure. The hotel made no accommodation for us at all. They charged us 10 pounds an hour to stay in the room, and gave no concession for the clogged up sink. Overall, a bad experience. I will never stay here again. Les mer

First class with super staff and welcoming feel , obviously well managed.
Great location and the price i paid cannot be beaten ( it was cheaper than travelling home late at night from Manchester after a works do) but I would be loathe to pay more! There were cleanliness issues eg toothpaste marks in the sink and the beginnings of mould in the shower, plus the whole place was clearly furnished on the cheap and reminded me […] of a student flat. The hotel is very good. The reception staff were excelent and for some reason i was upgraded - which was fab The only downside was the pressure of water in the bathrooms which was not as good as you would want other than that excellent place to stay , good central location, really easy for Picadilly Station I would stay there again !
Checked in just after 3, had only booked a one room apt, we were told that the room wasn't ready, but would be upgraded at no charge, we ended up with a 2 bed penthouse, which was fantastic, plenty of room for the 2 of us, unfortunately, we were only there for one night as we had gone for the Christmas markets, only complaint would be that they leave […] a very small carton of milk in the fridge !! "Central location - close to trains & shops"
We arrived in Manchester early and the place was only 5 minutes from Piccadily station, check in was at 3pm so reception looked after our bags until we returned. It was only a 5 minute walk to piccadilly gardens/ arndale shopping centre. We returned to the place just before 3pm and our room still wasn't ready so we waited around for 10 minutes whilst […] it was prepared. The ground floor reception had a nice bar and restaurant and the reception staff were friendly. Our apartment was on the 5th floor, the one bed apartment was very spacious, lounge, kitchen, diner, bedroom and bathroom. There was a tv in both the lounge and bedroom. The kitchen had all appliances you could need so it was easy to cook a meal if you wanted to. Apartment cleaned daily and linen/towels changed I would say the only downside and this is my personal view was that it was a big spacious apartment yet the shower cubicle was quite small and didn't really fit in with the rest of the apartment. Even though it was freezing outside, there was no need to put any heaters on as the apartment was already warm. There was very little noise eminating from other apartments or outside so we got 3 good nights sleep. Would I stay there again, definately !!! Les mer

Disappointed with this hotel It is more like a 3 Star hotel - Poorly maintained - mould in shower - broken shelf unit in bathroom - cheap worn scratched poorly fitted wooden floor boards (more than just wear & tear) - kitchen not cleaned.
