Vi kom litt skeptiske til Miami. Er dette noe, liksom. Men etter dagene der, er vi hel frelste og det er takket være Ocean Plaza Beach Resort. Du kommer der og blir møtt av folk som tar bilen din og setter den i garasjen. De tar ut kofferter og åpner dører. Inne er det verdens hyggeligste mann som vil ta koffertene opp til hotellrommet. Og i reseptionen er det bare smil å se. En føler seg så tatt vare på av alle som jobber der og når stranden hotellet ligger på er verdens flotteste og sjøen er lyse grønn, ja da er livet herlig:-)

Et fantastisk charmerende sted med en fin frokost og hyggeligt samvær med andre gester. Kan varmt anbefales hvis du ønsker en ekstra oplevelse i Savannah. Er beliggende meget sentralt.

Helt OK, og rimelig hotell ett lite stykke utenfor gamlebyen i Savannah. Hotellet holder en helt grei standard, men med noe gretten betjening. Hotellet ligger ca 15 minutters kjøretur fra gamlebyen i Savannah. Så om du som oss bare skal innom en dag for å se på severdigheter og være turist ville jeg nok anbefalt noe som ligger litt nærmere! Men for all del et greit hotel!

The hotel was good for traveling with our dog. The room was clean but well used. staff was friendly, location was a few blocks from Historic district, wasn't completely comfortable walking at night, but during the day it was fine. I would stay there again.

Very convinient, good breakfast. Close to everything. Not that good neighborhood.
"Good for efficient stays"
The hotel was perfect for what we needed. Not too fancy, but comfortable. Breakfast is always a plus! The TV in my first room was broken. The front desk attendant didn't really know what to do and wasn't very helpful, but we were able to switch to another room without an issues.
Hotel was within 3 blocks of the Historic district. Not the best neighborhood to walk in at night. Was approached by panhandler at night who didn't want to take no for an answer. Parking is very limited in historic district so you want a hotel that you can walk from.

"Our short stay"
We were very pleased with our accommodations and would definitely stay at Comfort Suites again. We were able to walk to Bay Street and have dinner. Unfortunately our stay was only one night as we were on our way back home to the Tampa area after seeing the leaves change in Tennessee. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch!

"Comfort Stes Savannah - not exactly Hist Dist"
The rooms were comfortable enough, and the service was good. However, the description of this hotel as "suites" in the "historic district" was misleading. The rooms had columns separating the beds from the sofa, which in the hotel's mind qualified it as a "suite" (and the television was in front of the beds, not the sofa). The hotel was labeled as being […] in the Historic District, and was at the same price point as several others - but it was on the 'other side of the tracks' so to speak - a couple of long blocks from the historic district in the industrial part of town with a highway running overhead. "The Comfort Suites in Historic Savannah,Ga"
We were worried at first about the location but once we met the concierge we felt at ease. We were extermely tired from a long 12-hr drive and were hungry for some good food. Ron (the concierge) recommended a restaurant (Boar's Head) to us after talking with us for a few minutes, made reservations and called a taxi. Everyone we talked with made us feel […] welcome from the person at the front desk to the breakfast staff. Our room was spacious and very clean. "Not happy about the location"
This hotel in not located in the historic district. It is closer to a highway bridge. You are safer to drive to the historic district than to walk from this hotel. I would not recommend this hotel because of its poor location. There is only a vending machine so prepare accordingly if you prefer bottled water over tap water. "People are complainers, This hotel was great"
A lot of the reviews here complained about this hotel. If you look at a map, you know before you book that this is the last hotel on the main strip. I purposely booked here because it was the only one with free breakfast and free parking, so the fact that it was a few blocks further was worth it. I have paid more for much less before. The rooms were […] very nice. Southern charm in a pretty nice room. Fridge & microwave in room. Nice pool (we swam in it every morning.) The workout room had two bikes, two elipticals & two treadmills. It was about 3-4 blocks down from the main street of shops/etc, but it's right there on the same street and perfectly acceptable for the cheaper price & added breakfast & free parking. My only complaint is that the restroom on the first floor near the pool/breakfast area hadn't been cleaned - but perhaps it had gotten overlooked for some reason the day I used it. "Close, Convenient, & Comfortable"
Also, reasonable. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay when we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary in Savannah. The hotel offered discount rates for tours and even called for transporation to the tour center and back. The staff were always cheerful and courteous. The room was fittingly romantic as well as comfortable. And, although right on […] Bay Street and close to the Historic district, it was less expensive than comparable hotels in the area...and with more amenities (free parking, free breakfast, etc.). This place is across MLK from the Historic District, tucked under a bridge across from the housing projects, with a nice view of a sandy, trash-filled vacant lot. The air reeks of chlorine from the swimming pool and some a-hole walked his bare, wet feet into the elevator. The room appeared nice, but the room smelled like carpet cleaner masking the smell of vomit. We turned on the air hoping it would freshen up a bit, but it was no use. It wasn't too unbearable, but what was most disappointing was when I tried to say something about it to the staff they referred to me as the "you are the one complaining", and then they […] offered be a bottle of spray. "It's a keeper!"
Checked in early Christmas Eve after a long drive..hotel was immaculate and well appointed. The mattress on the bed reminded us of the ones on a cruise ship...fabulous! After a nap and shower, we walked down to the riverfront...not much open on Christmas Eve...walked back and found an Italian restaurant (Corleone's)..great food and service, reasonably […] priced. Walked back to our hotel (5 minutes) and enjoyed our king room that surprisingly came with a sofa (great for lounging and tv watching). Extensive continental breakfast served from 7-10. This hotel is on West Bay which is definitely not scenic. East Bay is much prettier but the hotels are nearly double for the same quality. This hotel is only about 200 yards from the dividing line. All in all, great hotel and service, very convenient to all attractions, walking distance to riverfront. We'd definitely stay there again. Les mer

Walking distance to River Street and Street Market, but a little further than other hotels. We did fine walking with a 5 & 3 year old, but closer would have been more convenient. We chose b/c they offer suites & b-fast, rooms were larger than regular hotel rooms, but b-fast not as varied as we would have liked (tho hot & fresh). Overall, the hotel was not too bad. However, there were a couple things I would have expected given the price I paid. For example, there were five lamps in the room but only two worked! Also, the fridge was barely cold at full blast. Also, the pet fee was ridiculous: $50 per stay, per pet and you could not have a pet over 20 lbs. On the up side, there […] was a large lawn in the back for conveinent dog-walking. There was also plenty of parking. The pool and spa were nice, although the gym was microscopic. It was probably the hottest day in Savannah this year and the ice machine on my floor was inoperative. When I mentioned this to the desk clerk, she just shrugged her shoulders. The pet fee is obsene ($50.00). They obviously don't want pets. I was aware of the pet fee before booking the reservation and expected it, but is still a bit much. It would also […] be convenient if they had benches outside where smokers could sit when they light up. I know smoking is a terrible habit but at my age there are very few vices to enjoy. Les mer

Usually hotels located in heavy tourist areas, like the historic district of Savannah, have employees who seem more interested than the staff here. Also, breakfast service in the lobby was greatly lacking with basics like coffee and milk running out with no one tending to refills. "Misrepresented"
The hotel itself is nice, however it misrepresents itself in the advertising. The website information states that the historic district is within walking distance, however the hotel is not in the best part of town. Additionally, the website does not explain pet weights or fees. Upon check in the staff did not explain these fees and restrictions.

"OK for the price"
The room was nice, clean and well equipped, however the air conditioner was extremely noisy. The hotel is located a few blocks from the historic district, we walked to the riverfront area and back with no problems, however a cab might be a better choice late at night. All in all it was an "ok" experience.

I was concerned about the neighborhood until I arrived. There is no problem with the public housing in this neighborhood. The only thing I wished was that the hotel was a few blocks closer to the Historic District. We walked to the Historic District and River Street several times and never felt uneasy.
